NetApp plugin for OEM 12c - DB is not on NFS mounted storage. DB Storage Perf Report empty

Hi, I have installed NetApp Plugin for OEM 12c (12.1.0.3.1) for a Netapp vFiler used for SMO. "Database Storage Utilization" and "Consolidation Database Storage Performance" empty. "Database is not on NFS mounted storage. Hence, no views available." - a. We are using ASM lun created on NFS. Does this means it will not appear in the plugin report ? - b. If point a. is true, is there a way to make the data appear ? I had already verified the BELOW. Only for point 4, I observed MGMT$DB_DATAFILES."OS_STORAGE_ENTITY" is NA (even though the ASM disk is actually on a NFS mount) : 1. Database discovery is done in EM12c . 2. Go to the database “HOST” target in EM 12c and click on the host target on which database resides. From host target drop down, click on “Host-> StorageDetails”. It will launch the “Storage Details” page. Please refer attached screenshot. There is a table displayed on bottom of screen and click on “File Systems” tab and check that your discovered database storage mount point is shown there. (Please note that whenever you define new mount point on host, this list should reflect the change.), otherwise, Database Performance views will not work. This mount point discovery is updated periodically. (It might be possible that DB views are not working because this discovery might not have finished) 3. Please click on NetApp Storage Target type and go to “Target HomePage drop down ->All Metrics”. Please click on “Volume List” metric and confirm if the volume is listed there on which database resides. 4. If all above steps holds good, please execute the below query on EM 12c repository and send the result: SELECT V2.TARGET_NAME, V1.FILESYSTEM, SUBSTR(V1.FILESYSTEM,INSTR(V1.FILESYSTEM,':')+6, (CASE WHEN (INSTR(V1.FILESYSTEM,'/',1,3) > 0) THEN INSTR(V1.FILESYSTEM,'/',1,3) - INSTR(V1.FILESYSTEM,'/',1,2) - 1 ELSE 100 END)) "VOLUMENAME" FROM MGMT$STORAGE_REPORT_NFS V1, MGMT$DB_DATAFILES V2 WHERE V1.MOUNTPOINT = V2.OS_STORAGE_ENTITY and V2.TARGET_NAME=''

Apart from F5, Cisco is another SLB vendor. I am not sure about any free alternative though.
Note that regardless what SLB that you pick, it should meet the requirements documented in section 29.3.2.2 of the EM12c Release 3 Administrator's Guide:
The SLB must provide support for multiple virtual server ports. Enterprise Manager typically requires that up to 4 ports are configured on the SLB (Secure Upload, Agent Registration, Secure Console, Unsecure Console)
Support for persistence. HTTP and HTTPS traffic between the browser and the OMS requires persistence
Support for application monitoring. The SLB must be capable of monitoring the health of the OMSs and detecting failures, so that requests will not be routed to OMSs that are not availa

To use NFS mount as shared storage for calendar

Colocated IM deployment <<To ensure high availbility, Oracle Calendar Server is placed on Cold Failover Cluster. Cold Failover Cluster installation requires shared storage for ORACLE_HOME and oraInventory.
Q: can NFS mount be used as the shared storage? has anyone tried it? thanks

This is of course a test environment on my laptop. I WOULD NEVER do this in production or even mention this to a customer :-)
In this environment I do not care for performance but it is not slow.

Netapp plugin for Grid 10.2.0.4

I read on OTN that the plugin for Netapp was incorporated into Grid control R2 and R3. I've a 10.2.0.4 version. Is the plugin also incorporated in R4? If so, how do I navigate to the storage page. I could not find any information on storage within grid control. If the plugin is not incorporated, where can I download the plugin? Could not find it on OTN.

If you go to an agent homepage (click Setup in the top right, click on Agents in the blue bar, select an agent from the table), there will be a table of instances the agent monitors. Above that table and justified to the right side is a pull down list. This pull down allows you to select a target type (and the button next to it kicks off manual discovery). The netapp target type will be in this list if the agent supports it.

Plugin for Windows Media Player is not working with Firefox 4 on Windows 7

I updated my Firefox to the latest version 4 yesterday, but since this time seems plugin for Windows Media Player not working anymore. When I visit some website with embedded video - like [http://www.ta3.com/sk/live this] - the window with WMP is not displayed and no video is playing. The website reports: You don´t have any plugin for playing of this video.
I reinstalled the plugin for WMP several times - with no success. This problem is on all webpages with embedded video for WMP. The installation of WMP plugin is successfully finished, but no video is playing. I checked the “plugins“ folder in the installation directory of Firefox and everything seems to be OK. Where is also the problem? Please, help me with solving of this problem...

Windows Media plugin for firefox loads but does not play

I am facing problems using windows media plugin on firefox as well as other browsers as well. I guess the problems would lie on the windows media plugin.
Few weeks back, I do not have any problems running windows media player on firefox, however I am unable to do so now. I am able to load the plugin but I cannot play it. I tried testing the plugin on the site below. Thank you for your help.

I am planning to setup OEM 12c Grid in my personal laptop vmware workstation for practice purpose.

OEM 12c Agent does not show down status.

Hi, I'm testing EM 12c. I added host target to oem and then kill agent process on host.
When open agent page (Setup-Agent-Testingagent) see error.
Communication between the Oracle Management Service host to the Agent host is unavailable. Any functions or displayed information requiring this communication link will be unavailable. For example: deleting/configuring targets, uploading metric data, or displaying Agent home page information such as Agent to Management Service Response Time (ms).
But status agent and host show up in EM.
I try resync agent, But nothing has changed it.
./emctl status agent

EM is showing Host is up makes sense. If I remember correct the OMS pings the host if the agent is down. This will succeed so the host will show up.
Why the agent is showing up does not make sense to me. The agent sends a signal every (default) 120 seconds. If no signal is received by the OMS the OMS sends a reverse ping to the agent. If this does not succeed the agent and its monitored targets should get the state “Agent Unreachable”.

Camera raw plugin for photoshop 5.5 (windows) not updating

Hi, I'm trying to update the camera raw plugin (min 8.2) in photoshop 5.5 for windows. I downloaded, ran, installed camera raw plugin 8.6 and rebooted. The installation wizard shows as installed but when I open photoshop it still has camera raw 6.7.0.339. Please help!! (The dng converter works but the camera raw plugin has not been updated)

That may be because the latest version of ACR that works with CS5 is ACR 6.7

Java plugin for Firefox and Chromium just not working

Hi Arch Users
I have been suffering with the IcedTea-Web for a while now. My banking service (in their stroke of genius) use java on there online service. So a problamatic plugin means that I am not able to use the website while on Linux.
The issue is not specific to the bank's website. Doing the following is also problematic:
1. Go to www.java.com
2. Click on "Do I have Java?"
3. Click on Verify Java Version
4. Chromium does nothing after setp 3, Firefox has a small notification (bottom corner) saying Applet Started but nothign really happens (waited for 20min).
Searching the Forums, showed people with similar problems with an older plugin. An idea I did get was to use the latest branch and compile it. So I changed the PKGBUILD to download the latest using:

Please can anyone suggest me a way to overcome this issue. Currentely I have to use VirtualBox to run a browser in Windows (very very painful)!
A while back I did contact the bank, informing them of the issue was met with a simple "We dont support Linux".

Before the repository switched to the open java project and I used Sun/Oracle version, everything worked OK.

Unsupported item the plugin for your selected item is not installed...

I am getting this 'unsupported item' error and I can't figure out why. I have the FPGA module and the RIO module installed. Is this a version error? I think I may have 2014 labview, but there is only rio up to version 13? Thanks for any help.
