Netapp System Manager - Exports not displaying

Hi All, I am completely new to the Netapp world. It was dropped on me yesterday to create and NFS export. No big deal it seemed easy enough. Was having some issues with the security permissions for a Linux host and when I was working on that I lost the display of my exports in Netapp System Manager. I see exports when I run exportfs1> exportfs/vol/gs_01      -sec=sys,rw,nosuid/vol/egene      -sec=sys,rw,nosuid/vol/vol0/home  -sec=sys,rw,nosuid/vol/lab_data/ABC\ SOPs -sec=sys,ro/vol/lab_data   -sec=sys,rw,nosuid/vol/archive    -sec=sys,rw,nosuid/vol/vol0       -sec=sys,rw,anon=0,nosuid/vol/custom_genetics    -sec=sys,rw,nosuid/vol/archive_3730       -sec=sys,rw,nosuidBut the GUI shows nothing...Has anyone else ever seen something like this? It allows me to go a head and create an export through system manager but nothing new shows up in the GUI or cli.

HiI have the same problem.I am using System Manager 3.1 and OnTAP 8.2.1.In the cli it shows me the export.rdfile /etc/exportsBut I can mount it to my VMware Hosts. I get the following error message:Call "HostDatastoreSystem.CreateNasDatastore" for
object "ha-datastoresystem" on ESXi "HOST IP" failed.NFS mount IPADDRESS:/vol/vol_nfs_ds01/q_nfs_ds01 failed: The
NFS server does not support MOUNT version 3 over TCP.  An unknown error has occurred.RegardsMartin

    Hi,
    I'm using a Rockwell CLP of family ControlLogix, this CLP communicates with NI OPC Servers. I have created a Process and an IO Server on System Manager
    My problem is: when I browse for TAGs on System manager, some items, who must be folders, are displayed as integers.
    Same problem occurs when I use PSP Network browser, example tool.

    Yes these fonts have one feature - see http://developer.java.sun.com/developer/bugParade/bugs/4279855.html
    so you can check them by next way :
         GraphicsEnvironment ge = GraphicsEnvironment.
    getLocalGraphicsEnvironment();
         Font[] fonts = null;
         if (ge != null) {
              fonts = ge.getAllFonts();
         for (int i=0; i < fonts.length; i++) {
              fonts.canDisplay('a');

  • Service Manager Portal not displaying VM console and related details

    Hi All,
    We have deployed private cloud with system center products using Cloud Services Process Pack and we have deployed Service Manger portal for VM provisioning in Cloud
    The Service Manger portal does not display VM console and VM details
    I have following queries
    How to take remote console of VM deployed by end user through service manager portal
    How will user come to know quota limit utilized in cloud under his account
    The VM are deployed through SCSM portal are in shutdown state how to auto start the VM after provisioning
    Please help since we are not able to find any solution for the above
    Appreciate if any workaround is available for the same
    Thanks
    Manzoor Ahmed

    The component of System Center that is capable to give console access to your VMs, is App Controller.
    Once the user are logged in here, they should see their quota, limits and resources available.
    Yes, the VMs are powered off by default when using the CSPP. You can edit the runbooks and add a task that will start them after provisioning.
    For your information:
    Many things has changed since the release of Cloud Service Process Pack. A new set of tools are provided with Windows Azure Pack to have a streamlined Infrastructure as a Service offering within the enterprise. Windows Azure Pack will leverage VMM (in the
    same way as SCSM does) but in conjunction with SPF (component within Orchestrator) to give you a framework that is identical to Windows Azure (Microsoft's own cloud) running on-premise.

  • The Add-ons Manager will not display!

    I've been having an intermittent problem with certain features not displaying at all. First it was that I could not "Customize" my toolbar for quite a while. It finally returned suddenly, in FF v4.01, after being unavailable since v3.5.
    I've also been without the Magnifying Glass search icon since v3.5, which is still missing. And the show "Properties" option has also disappeared from the Right-Click Context menu, I don't remember if it started in FF v3.x , but I think it was right after upgrading to v4, and it hasn't returned since either.
    Now it's the Add-ons Manager that has quit working. It has happened a few times before, but quitting and restarting Firefox brought it back.
    This time, however, it seems to be completely disabled. I had just removed the IE Tab Plus extension, to be sure I hadn't installed it over the original IE Tab, which they said could cause unpredictable issues.
    Next I used "Install Extensions" from the File menu of the Add-ons Manager tab, and selected a copy of IE Tab Plus I had saved to disk last October 2010 to re-install it. But nothing seemed to happen. No pop-up, or any indication/notification that an extension was about to be installed - nothing.
    So I did a search for IE Tab Plus to acquire the latest version from it's Mozilla Add-ons page, where I noticed a "Comment" claiming the IE Tab Plus author was using it to secretly install Ad-ware, and recommended using IE Tab 2 instead.
    I decided to do as suggested, but there is no link on the page to install IE Tab 2 from either. I decided to quit and reload Firefox, yet even in Safe Mode, I still can not get the Add-ons Manager Tab to load.
    Note:
    I also have Mr. Tech's cool Toolkit extension, which I believe added the "Extension Options" item to the Tools menu, and it is also empty now. It was not empty just before this. In fact it still displayed my extensions list after the Add-ons Manager had already failed to load again at all.

    Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
    * Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.
    * https://support.mozilla.com/kb/Safe+Mode
    This can be a problem with the file(s) that store the extensions registry.
    Delete the files extensions.* (extensions.sqlite, extensions.rdf, extensions.cache, extensions.ini) and compatibility.ini in the Firefox [[Profiles|profile folder]] to reset the extensions registry. New files will be created when required.
    See "Corrupt extension files": http://kb.mozillazine.org/Unable_to_install_themes_or_extensions
    If you see disabled, not compatible, extensions in "Tools > Add-ons > Extensions" then click the Tools button at the left side of the Search Bar (or click the "Find Updates" button in older Firefox versions) to do a compatibility check or see if there is an update.

  • Flash player settings manager does not display

    This happens in both Safari 4.0.4 and Firefox 3.5.5. Mac OS X Leopard (10.5.8). I just get an empty white rectanglar space where the settings panel ought to be. Rest of the page (help, menu sidebar, etc) displays just fine. Happened with Flash Player 10.0.32, so I upgraded to 10.0.42. Same problem. In Firefox it happens even if I turn off NoScript.
    I'm trying to access the settings panel at http://www.macromedia.com/support/documentation/en/flashplayer/help/settings_manager02.htm l
    Safari's Activity manager shows the error "expired server certificate" for
    https://www.macromedia.com/support/flashplayer/sys/settingsmanager2.swf?defaultTab=privacy
    Firefox's Error Console does not seem to show that error. It merely spits out nearly 100 warnings about the page.
    Page Info indicates the settings panel is embedded with dimensions of 0px x 0px
    But Firefox has a non-encrypted panel:
    http://www.macromedia.com/support/flashplayer/sys/settingsmanager.swf
    "The site www.macromedia.com does not support encryption for the page you are viewing."
    I don't see anyone else reporting this problem. Any ideas about what could be blocking the panel from displaying that i can fix?

    Just registering that I have the same problem as well.  Tried flash 10.0.42 on Firefox 3.5.5 and IE 8.  I had this problem on two seperate windows XP machines, both running SP 3.
    Anyone have an idea as to what's up?

  • System Tray Icon Not Displaying - Depending on Launch Style

    Good Morning-
    I'm using the java.awt.SystemTray and TrayIcon classes from 1.6 to create a system tray that acts essentially as a temperature monitor. It's very little code. When I test it from Eclipse, it works great. When I double-click the .jar on my workstation, it works great. When I launch it with java -jar temp.jar, it works great. When I launch it with javaw -jar temp.jar, I get no tray icon, but javaw sits in memory doing something.
    When my users launch it with a .vbs that calls java -jar temp.jar and hides the resulting terminal window, they get no tray icon. When they call java -jar temp.jar, they get the tray icon... and the console window. When they call javaw -jar temp.jar, they get no tray icon. Any of these practices yields a java process sitting in memory.
    When my users double-click the .jar file, they're asked to chose what to open it with. If they chose Java's executable, it says it doesn't know what to do (it isn't called with -jar). Windows doesn't see their jar files as executables like on mine.
    So I have two issues. The result is the system tray icon won't display on users' computers without a window to accompany it. Any idea why? Is it potentially a bug?
    Some code:
    public class SysTrayController {
         // The actual icon that will be updated
         private TrayIcon          icon;
         // The last-set temperature
         private int                    temp;
         // The box that may or may not appear
         private AlertBox          box;
         // No Data received (yet?)
         public final static int NO_DATA = 0;
         // High temperature threshold.  TODO:  Make this user-configurable.
         private final static int     HIGH_TEMP = 80;
         // ... you guess
         private final static String DEFAULT_ICON =  "icons/default.png";
          * Initiate everything.  Grab the system tray, plop the icon in it, and
          * get the icon all set up and ready to go with the default image.
         public SysTrayController() {
              box = new AlertBox();
              SystemTray tray = SystemTray.getSystemTray();
              Image image = Toolkit.getDefaultToolkit().getImage(getClass().getResource(DEFAULT_ICON));
              PopupMenu popup = new PopupMenu();
              MenuItem exit = new MenuItem("Exit");
              exit.addActionListener(new ActionListener() {
                   public void actionPerformed(ActionEvent e) {
                        System.exit(0);
              popup.add(exit);
              icon = new TrayIcon(image, "Temperature Monitor", popup);
              // On double-click, display the alert box
              icon.addMouseListener(new MouseAdapter() {
                   public void mouseClicked(MouseEvent e) {
                        if (e.getClickCount() >= 2) {
                             box.setVisible(true);
              try {
                   tray.add(icon);
              } catch (AWTException e) {
                   System.out.println(e);
          * Set the temperature.
          * Call setIcon() to set the icon to the right number, update the alert
          * box, and if it's time to, display the alert box.
         public void setTemp(int temp) {
              if (this.temp != temp) {
                   this.temp = temp;
                   setIcon(temp);
                   icon.setToolTip(temp + " degrees");
                   box.setAlertMessage("Temperature in the Server Room is at " + temp + " degrees!");
                   box.setIcon(icon.getImage());
                   if (temp > HIGH_TEMP) {
                        box.setVisible(true);
                        icon.displayMessage("Alert", "Temperature in the server room is at " + temp + " degrees!", TrayIcon.MessageType.WARNING);
                   } else if (temp != NO_DATA){
                        box.setVisible(false);
          * Figure out which icon to set the tray icon to, scale it down, and
          * set it.
         public void setIcon(int number) {
              Image image = null;
              if (number == NO_DATA) {
                   image = Toolkit.getDefaultToolkit().getImage(getClass().getResource(DEFAULT_ICON));
              } else if (number >= 60 && number < 100 ) {
                   String iconString = "icons/temp";
                   iconString += number;
                   iconString += ".png";
                   try {
                        image = Toolkit.getDefaultToolkit().getImage(getClass().getResource(iconString));
                   } catch (NullPointerException e) {
                        image = Toolkit.getDefaultToolkit().getImage(getClass().getResource(DEFAULT_ICON));
              image = image.getScaledInstance(16, 16, Image.SCALE_SMOOTH);
              icon.setImage(image);
          * Give back the current temperature.
         public int getTemp() {
              return temp;
    }The main() that calls it looks like this:
         public static void main(String[] args) {
              SysTrayController controller = new SysTrayController();
              Thermometer temp = new Thermometer(HOSTNAME);
              while (true) {
                   controller.setTemp(temp.getTemp());
                   try {
                        if (controller.getTemp() == SysTrayController.NO_DATA) {
                             Thread.sleep(1000);
                        } else {
                             Thread.sleep(SLEEPTIME);
                   } catch (Exception e) {
                        System.out.println(e);
         }

    From the code above, this line actually worked for me:
    image = Toolkit.getDefaultToolkit().getImage(getClass().getResource(iconString));Just place the image inside the source folder and change the iconString thing...
    For example mine looked like this
    image = Toolkit.getDefaultToolkit().getImage(getClass().getResource("/icon.gif"));

  • Design Manager - Name not displaying for MasterPage

    Hi,
    When I navigate to my Design Manager and want to edit a master page, the "name" column is blank.  I am not able to edit the masterpage.  I am a site collection owner.
    It's like it displays the wrong view.
    Thank you,

    Hi Lorena,
    When you hover your mouse over the “…” and click “Open Menu”, could you see the title of Master page? If you click on the master page, could you see preview page and figure out the title in the url?
    If you go to Site settings > Web Designer Galleries > Master Pages and page layouts, could you see the master pages’ titles?
    There seems no view control in DesignMasterPages,aspx . In addition, please capture the screenshot for the issue for more clearly understanding.

  • Keynote html export not displaying correctly in Internet Explorer

    I exported a Keynote presentation to html, uploaded it to my server, and only half of the slide shows in Internet Explorer. Every other browser displays the presenation just fine. Any ideas how to correct the Explorer error?

    Hello! I have a real fix to this issue.
    Open the the player.js file and find the o an u varibles and hard code a resolution, I chose 1280x1024. Choose anything you want it will all work. There's some issue with the varibles that are being passed because as soon as you hard code a resolution it works across the board... All browsers are good.
    o=document.viewport.getWidth();
    u=document.viewport.getHeight();
    are the varibles that you must change... I changed mine to:
    o=1280;
    u=1024;
    and it worked like a charm.
    Cheers!

  • Labview 2011: Distributed System Manager does not load variables in process

    Hi everyone,
    I'm having problems with the DSM of Labview 2011.
    My application consists of a main VI.
    There will be loaded a sub VI in this main VI, which subVI will be loaded depends on the button that is pressed.
    The problem that I have is the following(the problem comes up on a Windows 7 system, on Windows XP system everything works well):
    - When I open a subVI, it will be opened in mij DSM, but it takes a while before it is visible, not immediately but after a while.
    - Normally, when I open the process(in the DSM) of the subVI, the variables that are present in the subVI, should be visible.
    - In this case, non of the variables is visible.
    Is it possible that there is something wrong with the DSM?
    Or do I have to make some changes to my settings on the computer?
    The firewall is off and the DCOM settings are ok.
    I hope someone can help me.
    With kind regards,
    Cheese

    I observed a similar behaviour in case I changed my configuration during development: the variables were not changed accordingly, from time to time.
    The most effective corrective actions was to manually stop and restart the NI Variable Engine service.
    Surprisingly, restarting the PC was uneffective.
