Netbeans 7.3.1 not starting

Hi all,
*Newbie warning*
After running pacman -Syu my Netbeans (now upgraded to 7.3.1) does not start anymore.
I've tried to look at some log files, and Googled a lot.
All I can find is the info that's also shown when I try to start Netbeans (see end of post).
Any help is highly appreciated; since I'm quite stuck at the moment.
If any more info is required, please ask - and I will provide.
Thanks in advance.

Netbeans warning on startup:

Editor Indentation - The module named org.netbeans.modules.editor.lib2/1 was needed and not found.
Editor Guarded Sections - The module named org.openide.text was needed and not found.

TreeTableView Model - The module named org.openide.explorer was needed and not found.
Exception Reporter - The module named org.netbeans.modules.uihandler was needed and not found.
(etc. etc. it's a long list).

Never mind.. how stupid, my partition was full.
Not sure if it had to do with it, but it probably didn't help
Also, renaming /home/myname/.netbeans to /home/myname/.netbeansOLD helped, so I'm not sure what fixed the problem actually.

    I just had the same problem this morning. I believe the app server starts and if you browser directly to your app you'd get it, but the connection between the appserver and the IDE is somehow lost. An easier solution than completely reinstalling for me was to delete the .Creator folder in my home directory (C;|Documents and Setting\<username>\.Creator) and restart Creator

  • Sun Java System Application Server could not start

    Hi
    I have installed JDK1.5 Update1 + netbeans 5.5 with the JBOSS bundle and added the Sun Java System Application Server 9.1.02.
    I am creating the EJB-JMS application described at
    http://www.netbeans.org/kb/55/ejb30.html
    All the steps are followed properly, but while running the project i get the error
    The Sun Java System Application Server could not start.
    More information about the cause is in the Server log file.
    Possible reasons include:
    - IDE timeout: refresh the server node to see if it's running now.
    - Port conflicts. (use netstat -a to detect possible port numbers already used by the operating system.)
    - Incorrect server configuration (domain.xml to be corrected manually)
    - Corrupted Deployed Applications preventing the server to start.(This can be seen in the server.log file. In this case, domain.xml needs to be modified).
    - Invalid installation location.

    In the code you have posted, some places refer to '.CustomerFacader' while others refer to '.CustomerFacade' leading to issues.
    Also: Have you considered using NetBeans 5.5.1 as an alternative to JSE 8.1?

  • Push Registry is not starting the MIDLET automatically

    I am not being able to start my MIDLET using the push registry mechanism. I am using the netbeans emuluator to execute the program.
    In the startApp of my application I have
         connections = PushRegistry.listConnections(false);
    and whenever a connection comes it starts a new thread. My Client keeps sending SMS requests but the server midlet in which the
    push registry is initiated does not start.
    In the application Descriptor I have added the following
    MIDLET class : Server.SMSReceive_S
    Sender IP : *
    Connection String : sms://:5000
    and in the API permissions I have added the following API permissions
    javax.microedition.io.PushRegistry, javax.wireless.messaging.sms.receive, javax.wireless.messaging.sms.send
    I have even tried to start the MIDLET dynamically by calling
         PushRegistry.registerConnection(smsConnection,this.getClass().getName(),filterName);
    but that too doesnt work?
    So what am I doing wrong in starting the MIDLET automatically using push registry?

    I'm running this application server on Windows XP, like I said, I was working with NetBeans and suddenly, the AS stop working.. I did not delete anything, I did not move anything either.
    Please, does any of you have any ideas of how can I fix this issue?
    Best regards!

    You may try this soultion. I fixed this in my Window 2000 machine(Application Server 8) by:
    1. Edit domain.xml($DEFAULT_DOAMIN/config)
    2. Update the port="4702" for http-listener tag, and change to something else(e.g. 4802).
    3. Save it
    4. Make sure the Application Server is shut down.
    5. Start the Application Server.
    Hope it helps!

  • Urgent-Application server 9 will not start

    The Sun Java System Application System could not start. I am using Netbeans 5.5. The following was displayed.
    More information about the causes is in the Server log file.
    Possible reasons include;
    - IDE timeoout: refresh the server node to see if its running now.
    - Port conflicts. (use netstat - a to detect possible port numbers already used by the operating system.)
    - Incorrupt server configuration (domain.xml to be corrected manually)
    - Corrupted Deployed Applications preventing the server to start. (This can be seen in the server.log file. In this case, domain.xml needs to be modified).
    I would like to reset the domain.xml file as though no project has ever been deployed to the server how can this be done. Please help.

    '''(in English)'''

    Hi Danny,
    Per my understanding that you can't get the expect result by using the expression "=Count(Fields!TICKET_STATUS.Value=4) " to count the the TICKET_STATUS which value is 4, the result will returns the count of all the TICKET_STATUS values(206)
    but not 180, right?
    I have tested on my local environment and can reproduce the issue, the issue caused by you are using the count() function in the incorrect way, please modify the expression as below and have a test:
    =COUNT(IIF(Fields!TICKET_STATUS.Value=4 ,1,Nothing))
    or
    =SUM(IIF(Fields!TICKET_STATUS=4,1,0))
    If you still have any problem, please feel free to ask.

  • "can not start a job" issue in AWM

    Hi ALL,
    I am maintaining my cube from PLSQL with following options
    1. buildtype = "BACKGROUND"
    2. trackstatus = "true"
    3. maxjobqueues = 3
    i get following error when i see the "olapsys.xml_load_log" table
    ***Error Occured: Failed to Build(Refresh) DB_OWNER.MY_ANALYTICAL_WORKSPACE Analytic Workspace. Can not start a job.
    Can anybody explain when and why this error occurs? I have wasted a lot of time searching for this issue, but have found no person facing such issue.
    Hi Keith, it will be great if you can answer this one.
    My database version is 10.2.0.4.0 and AWM version is also 10.2.0.3.0
    Kind Regards,

    Applies to:
    Oracle OLAP - Version: 10.1 to 11.1
    This problem can occur on any platform.
    Symptoms
    - We have an AW maintenance / refresh script or procedure that contains BuildType="BACKGROUND", so that the AW maintenance task will be sent to the Oracle Job queue.
    - When we execute the AW maintenance / refresh script or procedure, we do not get any errors in the foreground, the script/procedure has been executed successfully.
    - However when we look into the build/refresh log (see <Note 351688.1> for details) we see that the maintenance/refresh task failed with:
    13:29:39 Failed to Submit a Job to Build(Refresh) Analytic Workspace <schema>.<AW Name>.
    13:29:39 ***Error Occured in BUILD_DRIVER
    - In the generated SQL trace for the session of the user who launches the AW build/refresh script or procedure, we see that ORA-27486 insufficient privileges error occurred at creation of the job.
    We see from the relevant bit of the SQL trace that err=27486 occured while executing the #20 statement which is 'begin DBMS_SCHEDULER.CREATE_JOB ...', and the statement is parsed and tried to be executed as user having uid=91:
    PARSING IN CURSOR #20 len=118 dep=2 uid=91 oct=47 lid=91 tim=1176987702199571

    1176987702325167
    ERROR #20:err=27486 tim=465202984
    Cause
    User who tries to create a job (executes DBMS_SCHEDULER.CREATE_JOB() procedure) does not have the sufficient privileges.
    Solution
    1. Identify the user under which the job is supposed to be created. This user is not necessarily the same as the user who launched AW build/refresh script or procedure. Get the corresponding username from one of the %_USERS views e.g. from ALL_USERS.
    e.g.
    SELECT user_id,username FROM all_users WHERE user_id=91;
    2. Identify the system privileges currently assigned to the user by connecting as the user whom the privileges need to be determined, and execute:
    SELECT * FROM SESSION_PRIVS ORDER BY PRIVILEGE;
    3. Ensure that the CREATE JOB privilege is listed.
    The CREATE JOB privilege can be granted in various ways to a user:
    - via role OLAP_USER or via role OLAP_DBA (see view ROLE_SYS_PRIVS for what privs are assigned to a role):
    GRANT OLAP_USER TO <username>;
    - explicitly
    GRANT CREATE JOB TO <username>;

I restored it (twice) but it will still not hold charge and on/off does not work. I tried to restore it again and charged it in three different locations with different cables. etc but nothing. Suggestions?

    - After charging for 1/2 hour or so, does iTunes see the iPod?  If yes, restore the iPod from backup.
    - If no, se if placing the iPod in recovery mode will make it visible so you can restore the iPod.  For recovery mode see:
