  • HP Mini 210 - No Recovery Disk

    Hello All,
Hope someone can advise what to do.  I had bought two HP Mini 210's.  I had not made any recovery disks.  The hard disk on one of the netbooks failed and I have had a new one installed.
I made a recovery disk onto USB from the other working netbook hoping that I would be able to use this to restore the OS using the license keys from the failed one but when it boots off of the USB it says there is a mismatch or something and will not let me continue.
Does anyone know of a way around this please?  If there isn't one, can anyone advise what the best step forward is?
    Thanks in advance

  • HP Mini 210-1094NR recovery

    Hello, I need help now.
Trying to fix an HP Mini 210-1094NR running Windows 7 Starter.  Boots up to the Windows Error Recovery screen which gives me two options.
    1.  Launch Startup Repair
    2.  Start Windows Normally
Well you can guess which one(s) don't work.
The repair option got stuck in a loop, hard disk light flashing once every 3 seconds.   Left it for over 36 hours and it said it was repairing.
So it is hammered.  Is there a recovery partition to access?   I have the manual and it said to hit F11 or the Window button to access a possible recovery partition.  However, these just bring me back to the Recovery screen with the same options that don't work.
    Any help for this unit???
    Thanks.

For those interested.  Installed a new disk and reloaded Win 7 Starter and used the Activation Key found under the bottom cover and the unit is back up and running!  Upgraded the memory to 2GB and she runs pretty good.

  • Mini 210-2080nr touchpad help

    Hello,
I recently bought a HP Mini 210-2080NR and I'm having difficulties with the touchpad. The right and left key is connected to the touchpad. When using the touchpad, I'm able to navigate with the entire touchpad including the keys and that is causing a huge inconvenience.
Is there a way to lock the right and left click keys on the touchpad, so I'm able to navigate smoothly? Thanks in advance.

Check if you have Accidental Contact Mitigation (ACM) feature in the Synaptics Properties Windows, that will help you set restrict the tap and pointer movement zone...So outside that zone, you can have more control over tap and pointer movement, To Activate the function, Click on Filter Activation Time, and set the Filter Activation Time to Zero Seconds and check.......Check below screenshot...

  • HP Mini 110 System Recovery Help

I was uninstalling programs put on my hp mini 110 (Windows XP).  I deleted the Roxio back up software by accident.  Now when I start the computer I get a screen stating windows did not start properly and im given the options of start in Safe Mode, Safe mode for Networking, Safe Mode for Bios, Start from Last Known  or Start Normally.  If I start in any of the Safe Modes I get a string of information and then nothing.  If I start in the last know I get a flicker on the screen and then back to the original screen and if I start normally it seems like XP is opening and then the screen goes black.  I can't do anything else from there.  I understand I most likely deleted important software.  I purchased the HP System Recovery disk (no usb available) and I have an external disk drive hooked up but the computer does not start the cd.  Any help would be great.  I tried to contact HP and since my netbook is out of warranty I have to pay $59.  They won't even help me understand how to use the disks I just purchased from them.

    Hi Rosen23185,
You will have to change the Boot Order and make the CD/DVD Drive as the first boot device in the same. Please find the instructions in the following document.
Configuring the Boot Order in the System BIOS: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?cc=us&dlc=en&docname=c00364979&lang=en&lc=en&product=406...
Once the first boot device is CD/DVD Drive, please insert the Recovery CD in the Drive and Restart your Notebook. Upon the next Restart, the Notebook should start booting from the CD/DVD Drive.
Please let me know the results so that I can try helping you further. Thank you.

I have forgotten my password on my HP Mini 210-1018CL please help.  Thanks

Short of doing a System Recovery to get a fresh install the only other thing is to use a password removal tool such as OfflineNT.

  • I have an hp mini 210-4000 that has had no sound for 48 hours, little help?

    Model: HP Mini 210-4000
    O/S: Windows 7 (starter)
I have had no audio for about 48 hours now and am looking for some help please. At first I thought that it may have been a hardware failure but having done a system check windows is informing me that the internal speaker is enabled and that it is working normally. There has been no physical damage to the notebook either.
I have tried all of the standard troubleshooting techniques that are suggested and have tried restoring everything to the way it was about 4 days ago with no success.
The light next to the mute button has stopped lighting up no matter whether it is set to mute or not. In terms of the software if I perform standard tests and play audio through any programs it is being recognised by everything (speaker icon, 'beats' audio desk, applications etc) but there is just nothing to be heard.
The notebook is set to normally install automatic updates and I have seen from the forums that other people have been experiencing similar problems from across the board. Has an update been released that may have caused this?
Any help that people can offer in rectifying this problem that I'm assuming is software-based would be greatly appreciated. Cheers

  • Help on HP Mini 210

sir can i ask help about my netbook
    someone uninstall my Recovery manager.
i havent created any single  recovery but
my Drive D Recovery is still intact
how can i make my recovery?

Download the Windows 7 32-bit recovery environment from here. Download the Windows 7 USB DVD download tool from here.
You will use the ISO that you downloaded and the  Microsoft Windows USB DVD tool to create a USB repair media thumbdrive.
When you boot your netbook from the USB thumbdrive you should have access to the repair function of Windows and a command line console. In the comand line console you will be able to use the diskpart command to make your recovery partition D: active again.
Type the following commands and press the enter key after each one.
    diskpart
list disk ( you should see a list that shows your USB thumbdrive and hard disk)
select disk X (I chose X arbitrarily . It represents  the number of your installed hard disk)
list partition ( you will see alist of partitions on your hard disk)
select partition Y ( Y is the number that represents your recovery partition from within the list generated by the previous comand)
You should see that the correct partition is now selected by an asterisk next to it
active (diskpart will respond that it marked the partition as active)
list partition (you should see a partition list with the recovery parttiion now shown as active)
exit and then close the command window
The following image is just an example of the responses you should see after entering the commands
Once that is done you should be able to reboot and use the F11 key to access the recovery manager and recover your netbook to its factory image state by use of the Recovery Manager.
