NETCA bombs at tail end of ASM install
When running the config assistants following a ASM install (from the OUI), we are getting the following error (amongst others):
UnsatisfiedLinkError exception loading native library: njni10
I tried to look that up in google, but of the English speaking results, none were helpful. Several sites were for Macs, and they referenced libraries I do not see.
We have a 10.2.0.1 OSEE download from OTN, installing on a 2-node RHEL 4 Intel 64-bit configuration (the CRS install went fine, as did the post-install root scripts and intermediate cluvfy checks). Yes, I already checked to make sure the download was for 64-bit and not 32-bit. Is there anything else I missed?
We are filing an SR now, but as most of you probably know, that process might take a while.

If you just grep for the package name after the RPM you should get all installed architectures. (Handy trick: You only need to do this one time :-) If you have a shell that compiles a command history, perform the checks on one node and capture the command history to replay on the other node)

I have a new computer running os10.9. my old computer ran cs5.5(upgrade version). I am trying to get CS5.5onto my new computer. when i load cs5.5 towards the end of the install it asks for the cs5.5 serial number. i put that in and everything is accepted but then it asks for a serial number for a full version of a product which men is design premium cs3 but it doesn't give me that product as a choice from the drop down menu. it only gives me adobe master collection cs3. why when i have purchased all these different upgrades can i now not use them and how can i sort this out. i need cs5.5 on my new computer.

Error 1 means, as the link that Chris gave you says, that your phone is either jailbroken or damaged.
It can also mean that your antivirus is blocking the update, but this is rare. Try disabling your antivirus if your phone is not jailbroken. If that doesn't resolve the problem you need to get the phone fixed or replaced.
If the phone IS jailbroken you have just learned why you should not hack an iPhone. And you will have to go somewhere other than an Apple-hosted forum for help. -
I have been trying to install 10gRAC on a two virtual node cluster. I installed clusterware and it was successful. Before I started ASM install:

It appears to me as though the installer was not able to copy over the "/u01/app/oracle/product/10.2.0/db_1" directory to the rac2 node. I do not see any reason for that, I have setup ssh user equivalence for both oracle and root users, ssh and scp seem to work both ways. Permissions should not be an issue on one node and not the other as I replicated the permissions.
I continued the installation and ASM is working fine on rac1 node and not on the second node. I tried using the dbca to setup the ASM on the second node and it errors out with a "crs-0223 resource placement error". Here is what I did next:

Tells you that the Oracle Home could not be copied onto the remote node. The logs mentioned might tell you more, but this is the reason why ASM cannot be started on the other node - there is no software that could be used to start an ASM instance. Now you said:

My question would be: What do you try to achieve? IF it is your only interest to "get it done and over with", then you can TAR up the Oracle Database home from which you want to run ASM and un-TAR on the remote node. Given that the paths are all correct, the registration already took place and hence, you can try starting the ASM instance on node2. IF you want to know the reason for the issue, further investigation and more information would be required.

Perhaps let's first try updating your Apple Software Update.
Launch Apple Software Update ("Start > All Programs > Apple Software Update"). Does it launch and offer you a newer version of Apple Software Update? If so, choose to install just that update to Apple Software Update. (Deselect any other software offered at the same time.)
If the ASU update goes through okay, try another iTunes install. Does it go through without the errors this time? -

installed 11g clusterware using crs user, oinstall and dba group,
then install 11g ASM using oracle user, but it does not show RAC option.

Thanks.I'm not sure if you're talking about creating an ASM instance? The ASM software install is the same as the Database install. Oracle recommends running ASM from a separate Home which would require a separate Oracle database install.

My dbora file doesn't start my dayabase and ASM instance, and i have to start them manually after rebooting the mechineI have used this manual for installing ASM on my mechine.I have double checked everything.now the problem is certainely my dbora file.
When i configure my dbora file to start database the time mechines reboots.it doesn't work.
and it gives me that error.
But after commenting dbora file and starting database and listener and emctl manually.everything works fine all the instances are available..no problem...

I am trying to move Acrobat XI to a new computer. (Mavericks to Mavericks) Toward to end of the install when 'scripts' a being installed I get an 'Installation error" message. No number or reason just a message to contact the software manufacturer.
I am using a copy of a previous download of Acrobat XI, clicking the .dmg and then on the install package.
Originally, the Acrobat software was brought into the new computer by the Migration Assistant.
Does the install assistant need to be in the mix somewhere? -
Gosh Dang it, I can't make heads or tails of the memory install advice!...
I am not a noob user, and have always installed my own memory (even the "hidden" place in a mac mini).I have a new 3.0 8 core coming in a couple days... But I swear I am reading conflicting instructions on late model Mac pros. Older "late" models come w/2 slots filled on riser A, the new ones come w/slot 1 riser A, slot 1 riser B, and there's seemingly weird advice about 6 memory modules in the Mac pro PDF,(4 and 2?) etc, yadda yadda.
Okay, here's what I'm used to in my 2.5 G5: Pairs -- one of the pair in the top holder, and its twin in the bottom holder, end of story, up and down the line -- different GB sizes etc, you just simply matched it in the other holder w/the same brand and size
Now w/the new machine, is it not this way? For the record I will have the stock 2GB (2 X 1GB) from Apple, and 8GB (2 X 4GB) 3rd party arriving shortly....
One web site posted in this discussion section seemed to spell it our exactly like on my G5, but the other sources seem to contradict, as well as the posts I've read here. Is it now the same pairs in riser A, slot 1 & 2, then maybe different size modules (pair) in Riser B, slot 1 & 2?

There are four sets of pairs. Two sets on each Riser. The ideal is to have 4 DIMM slots, with two on each Riser.
While the 2008 "can" do it in a new way, it is not ideal or best. The G5 was different. And confused some.
I would have gone with 4 x 2GB. And then put the Apple 1 x 2GB on Riser A slots 3 and 4.
With yours you want the 2 x 1GB on the B Riser and the 2 x 4GB on the A Riser.

Trying to uninstall an older version of iTune on a PC running XP pro. It goes to end of install and has a conflict. Uninstalls the new version, but will not reload the older version. No iTunes will boot up.

Oracle RAC with ASM install failure

I've just rebuilt an Oracle RAC system, i've built this system many times and have the build documented. I usually follow the build doc to the tee and everything works fine. I have now been asked to rebuild the system to go into the production evironment. This is a two server standard RAC setup using ASM. We have a HP MSA500 shared storage setup. I've run the cluster verification tool and all the checks have come out fine. Whilst installing the clusterware i get a failed error message whilst it try's to confiure the Oracle Clusterware Configuration Assistant.
The error message i get is:

I've done this build many times and never seen this error. From what i've read on the internet it looks like it could be something up with my shared storage but i dont know what.
