Netegrity - Portal 7 integration

I have a requirement where the WLP 7 is behind a Netergrity SSO enabled IPlanet
WebServer. Need to automatically log the users in to WLP 7.
BEA Portal support mentioned CCE has developed a beta BEA supported integration
between WLP 7.0 and Siteminder. This integration currently allow users who authenticate
via Siteminder to also be authenticated in WLP 7.0.
Do you know if this is available.

From Peter Laird:
Yes, the login framework can handle this. Attached is sample
code on how to
link Login Framework and Siteminder. It doesn't have instructions, but
hopefully by reading the LF docs about "implicit" (perimeter)
login they can
piece the parts together.>

  • WebLogic Portal Systems Integration

    Hi,
We have an infrastructure which includes the following:
    1. User Profile is stored in eCRM [Microsoft COM based Client-Server software]
    2. LDAP Server which stores authentication profiles based on the User Profile in Point 1.
    3. Web Logic Portal Server which handles writing and reading into LDAP and only reading into eCRM
We have a scenario where we need to automate this entire User Creation where the steps would follow the order
    1. User Profile Creation in eCRM [We have modules to do this]
    2. User Profile Creation in LDAP [We have modules to do this]
    3. Sending Emails from Portal Server [We have modules to do this]
The problem is that when User Profile is created in eCRM and since it is not Java compliant, the user Profile Creation in LDAP cannot be instantiated.
We have some ideas to implement this in any one of the following options
    1. Running a Custom Thread to lookup a table and process data
    2. JMS
    3. ???
We need some recommendations on how we can handle this.
    Thanks and regards,
    Pazhanikanthan. P

    Hi,
I am not sure I fully understand your problem, we try anyways.
Are you using Unified User Profile ?
The reason I ask this is because this sounds like a problem that easily could be solved with the two following portal mechanisms
    1. Unified User Profile
    2. Event mechanism
That is, gather all your user profile stuff into the unified user profile implementing the necessary interfaces. Combine this with generating an event on user profile creation. An email generator will then listen for events of type UserCreated ( eg. ) and extract information from the event to build the email message.
Feel free to follow up if this did not solve the problem.

  • Portal CRM integration Requirement

    Hello,
I have Portal system ( 7.0 )and CRM system which are connected via SSO. it is for implementing CRM business package
    I have a following requirement:
    1. I open the portal in the browser.
    2. I login into it.
    3. It should open the CRM BSP application without any masthead. i.e.e NO PORTAL features. it should be like logging on to the CRM system directly via web.
But there are other applications whihc should be displayed in normal way.
Problem is also that the users cannot use some shortcut keys of CRM in portal.
I do not know whether the users are separate for different applications.
I do not know how can this happen or whether this can happen or not:
    Regards,
    Aditya Deshpande
Edited by: Aditya Deshpande on Jan 14, 2010 3:27 PM

    Hi Aditya,
You can't avoid the masthead only for one role (CRM) .  Masthead is shared across all portal roles if that is assigned to your default desktop.
Here are few options in which you can avoid showing mast to end  users while accessing CRM applications.
    1)  When you click on role : open the CRM application (Iview) in to new window . Set the iview property  "launch New Window" to "Display in seperate Headerless Portal Window"
    2) You can create new desktop with out mast head and assign to all CRM user group in Desktop & Display rules.  in this case all the CRM users won't see mast for all roles. I am not sure how it can help in your case.
    Thanks

  • BW 3.5/2004s Portal KM Integration

I am trying to create an index on BI Metadata and BI Documents repositories that are running on a BW 3.5 server.  The portal is 2004s.  The repositories seem to work properly; I can browse into the various metadata folders and view/edit documents specific to BW objects.  However, I am having trouble getting the crawler to create an index.
Looking at the logs, there is a JCO$Exception indicating username/password issue, so I suspect it has something with the system account that the crawler is using.  Any suggestions how to troubleshoot, or what specific JCO destination needs to be created are appreciated.  I've tried creating connections for both the BW alias name (SAP_BW) and one for the BW system name, neither of those helped.  For reference, here is the error message:

    Make sure with your SSO.
Becoz application data with ticket triggers to SSO
How did you configure your Jco? User/Pass? or Ticket?
If you created your Jco as Ticket, you need to configure SSO
If you created your jco with userid/password , make sure you entered correct password.
(If possible change your password to capital letters in backend . It may work )

  • Integrating Web Services Manager with Oracle Portal and SSO

    Hi,
I wanted to throw this out there and make sure I was on the right track and also if somebody can point me to some resources online that might help. Basically, we have OWSM acting as a Gateway securing some web services. Oracle Portal is integrated w/ Oracle SSO (as well as using OID). What is the best way to pass the credentials to the OWSM from the Portal for authentication purposes? I believe using SAML voucher token is the way to go, but I'm not positive. Has anybody done this before and if so, what methodology did you use? I'm assuming since using SSO, we don't necessary want to also pass in the password.
    Thanks,
    Nathan

I have noticed that nobody has same kind of situation and this is not intresting question. Still we have same problem and I have heard many oracle employee saing that this behaviour is wanted situation. In our kind of virtual host enviroment it would be nice to choose behaviour of Single-sign-on server and I request oracle support to find out ways to enable this option... I would be pleased if some oracle development would say opinion about this mater. Waiting for ideas.

Application Integration is done with providers(portlets)
It depends on the API of your application.
    - Basic integration could be a dynalic SSO-Link in a simple provider.
    - Some apps via Netlet to remote access the application(wold/excel ...)
    - ERP/CRM integration via WSDL or XML/JSP proxy
or even EJB, CORBA or JDBC connectors if your application support these APIs.

  • PC-UI: Document Preview not working in Portal

    Hello CRM Gurus,
I'm trying to use "Document Preview" as described in the PC-UI Book at Page 157. I've created my own structure ZCRMT_BSP_OPP_CREATE_QUOTATION which includes the structure CRMT_BSP_PREVIEW. I've created my own Modell access class and implemented the READ Method as follows:
    method if_crm_bsp_model_access_il~read .
data: lt_screen_structure type table of zcrmt_bsp_opp_create_quotation,
            lv_opp_guid         type crmt_object_guid,
            lv_account          type bu_partner,
            ls_screen_structure like line of lt_screen_structure,
            lv_lock                  type abap_bool,
            lt_object_key            type crmt_bsp_objectkey_tab,
            lv_screen_structure_name type crmt_bsp_scrstrucname,
            wa_portal type char32.
      lv_lock = iv_lock.
      lt_object_key = it_object_key.
      lv_screen_structure_name = iv_screen_structure_name.
    * Create Quotation in R/3 from CRM Oportunity
      read table lt_object_key index 1 into lv_opp_guid.
      data: lt_header_guid type crmt_object_guid_tab,

      append ls_screen_structure to lt_screen_structure.
      et_screen_structure = lt_screen_structure.
    endmethod.
I've created a new Event ZOPP_CREATE_QUOTATIO which is functional relevant. Added this Event to the Toolbar Group OPP_OIC. Added the Event to the Application Layout of "CRMD_BUS2000111" with position "New Window" and Screen type = PREV Preview. In the Application Set I've added the Modell Access Class ZCL_ANGEBOT_ANLEGEN to the structure ZCRMT_BSP_OPP_CREATE_QUOTATION which is dependent of OPP_HEADER.
When I test the application through CRMC_PCUITOOLS its working perfect. As soon as I run it in the portal the page is refresehed when I click the Button "Create Quotation" but no new window appears.
    Any suggestions?
    Regards
    Gregor

    Hi Gregor,
I'm facing the same issue. the print preview is not even working when the application is run thru CRMC_PCUITOOLS.
Also, what Field Group/Tool Bar Group have you assigned to the new entry in the Application Layout?

  • Portal Runtime Error when opening Webflow workitem in UWL

    Hi,
I have recently configured the UWL to pick up workitems from SAP workflow on a background system. The workitems are appearing OK in the Task folder. However, when I try to open a workitem by double-clicking on it, I get the following error:
    Portal Runtime Error
An Exception occurred while processing your request. Send the exception ID to your portal administrator.
    Exception ID: 05:33_30/09/10_0010_24209150
Refer to the log file for details about this exception.
NB. This only seems to happen for items that would be shown via the SAP GUI (E.g. a Confirming a task completion or user decision). The workitem runs OK if it is for a task that is visualised as a Web Dynpro app and specified in transaction SWFVISU.
I have not configured Delta Refresh options in the Workflow Administrator so do not know if this is a possible reason (I assumed that this would not cause a problem and would simply mean that refreshes only occur once every 60 seconds). Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am fairly new to Portal & UWL I would also be grateful if someone could tell where I can find the relevant log files referenced in the original error.
    Regards
    Simon

    Hey Simon,
Welcome to UWL :).  Portal Runtime Errors in UWL don't always signify that there is a UWL issue.  This could be a permissions problem, etc.  I'm not sure what version of the portal that you are using.  But here is a little trick for you when checking logs...you can enter in the following: irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/com.sap.portal.runtime.admin.logviewer.default
and check the log file with the id that was given in the error.
Exception ID: 05:33_30/09/10_0010_24209150 is your exception id.  Search for the log files in the default trace and see what the exact error message is.  If you can post this here it would be great.
The log files can be found in the following location:
    /usr/sap/<SID>/JC<InstanceNumber>/j2ee/cluster/
    server<number>/log
or by entering the URL that I mentioned above.
Please let me know in the next reply what the portal version is:
You can get this information by doing the following:
    a. log on to the portal
    b. backspace out the irj/portal section of the URL
    c. click enter.
    d. You are now at the J2EE administration page.
    e. Next, click on the system information link
    f. Please click on the all components link
    g. Please attach this information to the message.
I am interested mostly in the UWLJWF component but if you can attach the full software component info to this post that would be great...
Please note, that note number 1133821 is an important note that is needed in the UWL.  Did you maintain your RFC destination accordingly?

    Oracle Internet Directory 11.1.1.6.0
The customer wants to have Single Sign On for the Oracle Portal Application. This is my understanding about the Architecture.
Oracle HTTP Server (with WebLogic Proxy Plug-in) talks to Oracle Portal
Oracle HTTP Server (the same above with WebGate) talks to Oracle Access Manager
Oracle HTTP Server has Oracle Web Cache
Oracle Access Manager talks to OID
Oracle Portal talks to OID with OID Authenticator
When I went through the Oracle Portal documents, they give steps for Oracle Portal which is deployed on Oracle Application Server but not with WebLogic.
    My questions
    1) Do I need to configure OID Authenticator at myrealm of WebLogic Domain (which hosts Oracle Portal) to connect to OID?
    2) Is there anything more I need to do to integrate Oracle Portal with OID (Meaning running pl/sql scripts or any)?
    3) Kindly advice me about the flow of Oracle HTTP Server, Oracle Web Cache, Oracle Web Gate to OAS and Oracle Portal?
    Thank you
    Regards,
    Somerset

    Hi Somerset,
I am going through the similar problems as you are so was able to find some high level answers (although still have problems implementing.)
    As for the questions:
    1.
Yes, you can check the details here:
    http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E17904_01/webcenter.1111/e12405/wcadm_security_sso.htm#WCADM8176
Chapter 30.2.4.1 Configuring the Oracle Internet Directory Authenticator, item 9)
    2.
This is in no way a complete list, as it is still not working for me, but some of it:
OAM:You need to set up host identifier, resources(urls) to protect, define schemas and policies
OHS: Need to set portal name in mod_wl_ohs.CONF
Domain-level jps-config.xml: Needs to be set as per
    http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E15586_01/doc.1111/e15478/opssadf.htm, appendix c,
Example C-1 Sample SSO Configuration for OAM 11g
    3.
This graphic explains it I believe:
Same doc as above, at the beginning.
Figure 30-1 OAM Single Sign-On Components and Topology
You can also check the thread I have started describing my setup/issue:
    OHS/OAM/Portal SSO integration -  mod_wl_ohs.conf problem
    Hope this helps!
    ZoranZoran,
What you are tryiing to accomplish is the different than what Somerset's. Yours is the Oracle webcenter portal vs. Somerset's is the Oracle Portal.
For The road map of Oracle Portal integrating with Oracle Access Manager there is no other way than what I explained. ;)
