Netflix activation code on Apple TV

I am trying to set up my Netflix account on my Aplle Tv.
Netflix requires an activation code from my new Apple TV. Where can i find it ?

I'm having the same problem, in the United States. Netflix had been working fine on ATV2, and now suddenly it doesn't. Its keeps saying the Netflix account or password is invalid. They are not. Netflix continues to work fine on an iPhone, MacBookPro, and bluray player using the same wifi and isp, also all in the United States.
I've trying rebooting the ATV2, and vewy vewy carefuwy entering the password. Netflix account "manage your devices" gives you the option of disconnecting your devices from Netflix, and then reconnecting them--but when you try to reconnect them, you get stuck on this screen that asks for something called an "activation code". I know, like R.O.U.S.'s, you don't think they exist. My blu-ray player gave me one in about 5 seconds, and without one from ATV2, working the problem from the Netflix end is a big fat no-go. The ATV2 end apparently consists of two options: reboot, and re-enter the password. So, now I have this useless black lump of plastic sitting on my blu-ray player.

While it was fun for a while searching through their queue and their recently watched movies (they seem to like raunchy teenage sex comedies), I'd really like to set my account up on there. There was not a netflix option under the Networking menu. The first thing I tried was resetting the system to factory defaults, and it triggered the "try netflix" popup, but it kept the old netflix user's account in there. Later (after tweeting with someone on twelpforce) I decided to try it one more time. That time it deleted the old account and gave me the activation code. So everything is great now. The "activation code" people are refering to is what Netflix is asking for to "activate your device" when trying to work the problem through Netflix. My bluray player gives such an activation code. ATV2 apparently doesn't, so it's a dead-end trying to troubleshoot this stupid thing. Does anyone have any input other than, "you need to get on something called The Internets and activate something called a Netflix Account, then you simply log into that account and your problem will go away"? Because that's not helping.

In order to use the Netflix app you must sign up for and continue to pay for the use of Netflix. Another note, the Netflix app for iOS doesn't have a complete listing of all of the content available to stream. Also, if you want to have Netflix stream to your TV without an iPad, you'll need to purchase Wifi media player such as this made by Apple, Roku or Sony. As far as I am aware,once you sign up for Netfix from their main website, you can download the Netflix iPad app to your iPad. When you first open the app, you should only have to put in your username/email, and password and that is all.
The only time you need the Netflix code is if you're using an Apple iTV or some other type of WiFi streaming media player.
Assuming the account is activated, once you log into the Netflix app on the iPad, it should just work.

There is no activiation code. Are you based in Mexico? I believe Netflix is still working on compatibility with ATV in locations outside US/Canada, it's on their end though.

I don't currently have access to an AppleTV, so I can't personally test this. Keep in mind that Netflix streaming requires you to have an active paid account.
If the app on AppleTV works similar to the one for iOS (iPhone/iPad) then there should be a field to enter your Netflix email and password.

Apple TV does not display Watch ESPN activation code

Hi.
I am trying to activate Watch ESPN on my Apple TV and the app does not display an Activation Code. There is a big, blank space where one would logically think an activation code could fit but, unless it
is written in black text on a black background, I'm not seeing it. Not sure if the fact I'm trying to activate a Time Warner Cable account matters or not.

I now believe that your Apple TV has to have a hard internet line in order to connect to ESPN. At least that's what sorted me out.
