Netflix cannot load content
My apple TV cannot load content from netflix (worked fine before last night and have no updated software or changed settings). Other web services like youtube work fine and I can stream Netflix from my iPad. Anyone else having this problem with their apple TV?
I didn't ask if you changed ISP's, but about the DNS settings. You also didn't say whether you were on wifi or ethernet? Have you checked with Netflix?
Verify DNS and network settings
If you are experiencing abnormal wait times when attempting to rent iTunes Movies and TV shows on your Apple TV, it could be due to changes made to your network settings (such as the DNS address on your Apple TV and/or router or base station). You should use the default DNS entry supplied by your ISP, on both your Apple TV and router. Changing the DNS entry may result in a longer time before playback begins. Also, you should configure your Apple TV to use DHCP for the network setup, unless you have a custom network with specifically-assigned IP addresses.
To configure your Apple TV to use DHCP, from the main menu, go to Settings > General > Network > Configure TCP/IP. In the Network Setup page, select the "Using DHCP" option.
Once you've confirmed that your Apple TV and router or base station are using DHCP without a custom DNS entry, power-cycle your Apple TV, router or base station and broadband Internet modem.

Netflix gives "error loading content"
Thoughts to correct?I had the issue back in November & December where it was working however the quality was horrible. That was fixed and now I'm getting the "An error occurred loading this content" as well. Netflix is working great on my iPad so I tried to stream it using the Airplay and ended up with the same error.
Anyone called Netflix? I'm on hold right now. Odd's are they're going to blame Apple. -

Error message cannot load content?
Apple TV dropping out after 3 minutes repeatedly. Internet signal strong and working, Telus tech verified. Followed general troubleshooting of steps, all settings appear correct. Several months no problems, now dropping out. Not sure what to try next? Suggestions?
The issue described is a network issue.

After iOS 5 cannot load content (Win7/iPod Touch 4)
I have been trying to do this for over a week now.
I have an iPod touch 4th gen and I was upgrading from iOS 4.3.5 to iOS 5.0 on a Windows 7 64bit PC. After installing iTunes 10.5.0.142 and finishing the iOS 5 update iTunes saw everything on the iPod as "Other". The applications on the iPod touch worked but I could no longer access music or movies.
Not only that but when I restored and started it as a "new user" I couldn't put any data on it in any way. I put the iPod touch into DFU mode and reverted to 4.3.5 and everything worked 100%.
I have an original iPhone and it works with iTunes 10.5 just like it should.
After calling up Apple support they said that this has been reported and I did everythign I should have and it should be ok to upgrade again and if the issue continues I should go to an apple store to get a replacement. Sure enough the problem happend again and so I went to a local store to replace it.
Taking the replacement iPod touch home I connected it to my computer and just like before I could not add anything to the iPod touch. I then proceded to uninstall iTunes reboot the computer and then re-install the program. Then in command prompt (ran as administrator) I typed in "netsh winsock reset" and rebooted. Nothing.
I was going to revert back to 4.3.5 but it looks like Apple has now stopped allowing people to do that. Please help... Please!After almost 2 weeks of trying to get this to work I have now gotten everything operational again.
I followed the instructions on how to "Completely Remove iTunes and Other Apple Software from a Windows Computer" I followed all the steps except for instaling the http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/2912/everything-is-an-awesome-utility-that-locate s-files-and-folders-instantly-in-windows/Everything & ByeTunes programs.
After apple was removed from my PC I reinstalled iTunes and it now works like it is supposed to. :-)
One would think that the uninstall program would have done this, but I guess apple doesnt want to make it all that easy to remove itself from windows ;-) -

cannot load netflix with apple tv
George,
I am glad to know that worked. I wish I could but I can't take credit for knowing this trick. I read that someone else had the same problem and did that. I love this communities. I can go stright to fixing the problem without talking to tech support.
Happy New Year to you too!!!
Also I love this town. I think Austin is the best place in Texas.

I cannot load Firefox. I have been using it for years. When I click, the hourglass comes on for about 3 seconds then goes away nothing happens. I kept trying different things don't know what I did just before but at some point, it gave me this error message: Script: chrome://tavgp/content/libs/include.js:595
ThanksThat is a problem with an AVG extension (toolbar).
Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of the add-ons is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).

Cannot load underlying module for 'Darwin'
I had to move my "Developer" account from some external drive to the internal drive of my Mac.
For this I zipped the users folder, copied to the internal "users" drive and unzipped it there.
Then I changed the users folder in the users settings. I also updated the permissions on the user "Developer" folder,
allowing admins "R&W", the user "R&W" (+ setting it as owner) and everyone else no permissions.
I was able to login to the new home dir. I opened my old Xcode project (that was updated automatically in some fashion).
But when I compile it I get the error "cannot load underlying module for 'Darwin'"
=> What went wrong ?
Btw:
I already removed Xcode, downloaded it again and placed it into the programs folder - same issue ... :-)Here is the stack trace:

Cannot load movie with subtitles and export in QuickTime 10 / Os X Lion
Since Os X Lion, when trying to load a movie (DivX) in QuickTime 10 at the same time that the related subtitles file (.srt) is in the same folder as the movie, QT 10 suggests to use QT 7. QT 10 cannot load the movie with subtitles (in Snow Leopard everything was OK). Q& 7 is useless too because it cannot export movies to another format.
Anybody has a solution for this? Thanks for your help!chaquemain wrote:

I do this because Perian don't work with QT10 on Mac OS X Lion:
-Try to open .avi movie with QT 10;
-OS X ask you to open on QT 7;
-Donwload QT 7 and install it. It will be installed on "Utilities";
-Download Perian but don't install it;
-Mount Perian, and click "Show Package Contents"
-Go to "Contents"->"Resources"->"Components"->"CoreAudio" and copy to Desktop "A52Codec.zip" and unzip it;
-Go to"Contents"->"Resources"->"Components" and copy to Desktop "Perian.zip" and unzip it;
-Go to "Contents"->"Resources"->"Components"->"CoreAudio"->Quicktime" and copy to Desktop "AC3MovieImport.zip" and unzip it;
-Then copy all packages with ".component" extention to /Library/Quicktime/;
-Then you can run all movies on QT 7.
Or,
-Install MPlayerX;
Or,
-Install VLC;
Or,

Usage not calculating correctly. Cannot load apps.
Ipad2. 16Gb. ios7.1.2. Am using under 2Gb on my apps (according) to General: Usage. Says over 13Gb used.
What is is the size of iOS ? Cannot load needed apps.
Have upgraded from ios7.1.1 to. iOS 7.1.2. Have one video. May be just a purchase record as cannot play or delete it.
Cannot use as is. No apps and unbearably slow.. Something is stuck somewhere!
PPlease help. CeliaThats a typical cause. Itunes sees that there's content on the device associated with another account and wants you to sign into that account on computer. It might be best to set up all devices as new, then sync with itunes, all with same computer, same itunes library, same account name.
Since you're trying to set up several deivices in an enterprise environment, you may want to look into this:

Meraki MDM

Here's information regarding rolling out iOS devices across an organisation, business or educational establishment:

I understand that the new iOS is only 1.1GB, but I don't understand why I need at least 3.8GB of free space on my iPhone to download the new software. I also don't want to lose space on my iPhone from downloading the new software, because 3.8GB is a
