Netflix display error with Safari 8/OSX 10.10 Yosemite

I am having an issue with playing Netflix content through Safari since upgrading to Yosemite. Specifically, Netflix will start to play the content and then display an error after a few seconds. The error reads "Whoops, something went wrong... display error. There appears to be a display problem. Please ensure your monitor is HDCP compliant and is not mirror using airplay."
My monitor is HDCP compliant (HP ZR30W) and it's the only monitor connected to my 2014 MacPro. I presume this is an issue with the latest version of Safari and all the next extensions Apple added to support Netflix streaming without the Silverlight plugin.
Anyone have a solution for this or seen the same problem? The new Safari is crazy-fast and I'd prefer to use it with Netflix. Hate bailing to Chrome.

I just got it to work, and I think I may know why, just in case it helps anyone.
My setup:
Mac Mini (late 2012), with two monitors connected:
One dell HDMI monitor, hdcp compliant, plugged into the Mac Mini HDMI port.
One dell monitor plugged into thunderbolt via thunderbolt-VGA adaptor.
Unplugging the second monitor from the thunderbolt-VGA adaptor fixed the issue, and now Netflix plays with the HTML5 setting turned on! So it would appear that the second monitor was the problem. Which would track with what this page says:
Apple Mini DisplayPort adapters: Frequently asked questions (FAQ)
The page states that a Thunderbolt-DVI connector should work. Luckily this monitor has both, so the next thing I will try is to buy a Thunderbolt-DVI adaptor and retest with both monitors attached (I don't have one at the moment). If that works, I'll post the results, maybe next week.
This kind of stinks because I've always been two-monitor dude, I like having a movie playing on one monitor while I work on the other for example. For now, until I get the adaptor, I'll switch netflix back to using silverlight, which seems to still work with both monitors attached.

Strange Display Errors with certain Applications (ATI X1600) [SOLVED]

Hi everyone!
I have been using Arch now for a year or so and am very happy with it, but now there is a problem I unfortunately can't solve by my own.
Since a month or so certain applications (like emacs, feh or gimp, if i try to manipulate the drawing surface) cause very strange display errors. When I try to take a screenshot, they can't be seen, so i made to photographs

I already tried another display manager (musca) but there the same applications cause the same type of error.

Netflix display error 1001 on iMac

I recently got a Netflix account and tried to watch it on my iMac and get this error 1001 that the video player won't show or display. I spoke with someone from Netflix who basically said its a problem with my computer, which may be, because my girlfriend has an iMac and it shows Netflix just fine, but she is running Leopard.
Anyone else out there from Canada running Netflix on an iMac and had to overcome issues?
I have uploaded Microsofts Silverlight program which did nothing and I have tried using Safari, Google Chrome and Firefox. Firefox is supposed to be the primary browser you are supposed to use with Netflix but still not working for me.

Open FINDER and then select the GO option while holding down the OPTION key. Now search for silverlight and also microsoft. After I deleted everything associated with microsoft silverlight the problem went away.

Problem 2) In a Query Initellisense works intermittently but most of the time it will not display anything. I have tried Edit|Intellisense|Refresh Cach size and also seperately, Edit | Intellisense | List Members but neither has helped. Also
tried different selections for Tools|options| T-SQL | Intellisense| Maximum Script Size; no luck either.

For your first problem, possible workaround:
In Programs and Features (or Add/Remove Programs), right click the Microsoft Enterprise Library 5.0 Optional Update 1 program and select change. Remove the VisualStudio2010 integration.
Then, install the EnterpriseLibrary Configuration extension from Microsoft via the Extension Manager in VS2010. This will allow you to launch the configuration editor from VS2010, but will not be installed for SSMS.

For your second problem, the following conditions might affect the behavior of IntelliSense:
There is a code error above the cursor.
The insertion point is inside a code comment.

PLEASE help ...problems with Safari after OSX 10.4.11

I am so , so frustrated. After trying to install the new osx, my safari will not open. A pop on the deck and nothing. I could not install the update either. I got an error message. I tried to reinstall 10.4.11 and still error.
I don't know much about my computer so please be very explicit...
I tried to call the tech support, but of course my 1 year expired and they will not talk until they get $$. Well I find that this is crap, since it seems after reading the postings that this is their doing. Anyway I ruined my Thanksgiving...CAN SOMEONE PLEASE HELP. I tried to read the posts, but not sure how to apply.

Constant & erratic "Page Load Error" with Safari and Firefox

A week or two ago, I started getting constant "Page Load Errors" ('this page cannot be found', etc) when browsing with either Safari or Firefox. These are not dead sites that time out, but are very live (and cannot be summoned no matter how many times refresh)!
Something is wrong on my computer's end: I have strong wireless, have tried connecting with ethernet, and have used a different network. All of these produce the same result, where about half of the sites I try to connect to are instantly declared as dead by any browser I use.
I am not using any firewall, and have emptied both browser's caches.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

I'm having the same problem. It only happens at home over my DSL connection. Here is what I have tried and the results.
This really started bothering me since I upgraded to a recent Macbook Pro. I tried my original MBP with Leopard and found it doing the same thing. I ended up testing from my G4 and it works fine. The problem occurs over wireless and wired. I tried changing my MTU size with no change. I thought it was DNS but changed to other DNS and it didn't make a difference. Happens in Safari and Firefox. I am thinking it has an effect on iTune store also. The problem goes away when I VPN in to work, comes back when I close the VPN.
Just tonight I installed an clean 10.5 Leopard on my original MBP. Safari works perfectly. Instead of updating to 10.5.6, I download the 10.5.5 update. After updating the problem reappeared.
Again, my G4 with latest Tiger update work fine and both Macbook Pros with the latest Leopard have a problem over my DLS connection. They work perfectly fine at work and other locations.

Video display errors with multi-user

When using the multi-user switching, the background image is distorted.
To recreate:
Establish user "B" with a background image on screen. I have three Spaces with three different images. All users logged out.
Login as user "A"
Login to user "B" using the Menubar to select the other user without logging out of user "A"
Note bar on right-hand side of screen and distorted colors.
User A has one of the Apple background photographs
User B has personal photographs from 8 MP camera
If user B is logged in from the Login Window then all is OK. Display issue only shows up when logging in from other user via fast user switching (or whatever that is called). If user B logs out and logs in again from the Login Window all is OK.

Can you post screenshots of the distortion, someone may recognize it.
What you describe sounds like one user as something running that doesn't work well with FUS (I think it's still called 'fast user switching' ).
You can disable all login items by holding alt as you click the login button. See if that has any effect. If it does you know you need to look at the users login items (in System Preferences > Users & groups). In not sure if the 'alt trick' works inside the fast user switching menu, so you may want to verify the flaw exists when going to the login window, then reboot & try the 'alt trick' with the same steps.
The other thing to try is using a background image that has been resaved via Preview's export (or another app). It's possible the file itself is a reason for the issue, do standard backgrounds do the same?

Dedug console Errors with safari

I have an iPhone 4s with software 5.0.1 I use a website to monitor my solar panels. When I goto the website www.mypowerrouter.com I get the page but with a warning saying invalid data. If I then try to login I get a page resembling the page I want but with quite a lot of content missing! When I try this my old iPhone 3GS with software 5.0.1 it works fine. Also works fine on mrs iPhone 4s so I know it's something particular with my phone. I tried turning on the drug console but dont know where to start deciphering the errors it produces. Help pls! Weird font related error with Safari. Webkit error?

Hi guys,
I just bought a MacBook Pro and used Migration Assistant to move everything over from my old MacBook (also Snow Leopard).
But ever since then, both Safari, and Google Chrome don't display browser fonts right. All websites render very oddly. I've tried everything from removing my entire font library, to making sure they validate, and removing duplicates. But something seems to be corrupt and I can't figure it out.
It's almost like the Webkit engine in the browsers are broken because it doesn't render CSS padding right either.
Anyone have any ideas? I'm really at a loss. I've already tried deleting my brand new machine and reinstalling the OS

I'm assuming that the re-installation didn't fix it...
Download the <a`href="http://nightly.webkit.org/">latest nightly build of Webkit and see if that fixes the issue.

Retina Macbook Pro with Safari display issues

Is anyone having crazy display issues with Safari on their rMBP? I'm noticing some wierd glitching going on. For instance, as I type this, it doesn't show the correct characters consistently. Sometimes when I'm in Gmail, entire portions of the interface are missing unless I move the cursor over them. Some pages don't load at all and I have to refresh. Other times I'll load a page, click a link, and then hit back to go to the previous page and it's empty.
I'm not experiencing this in third party applications like MS Office, or Chrome, or other parts of Mountain Lion (though I do suffer from the same jerky UI transitions that everyone else has, but that's a different story). Anyone else in my boat? Suggestions?

Slide show works with Safari but not Firefox!

I'm baffled: I was swapping out some new .jpgs for my site's looping photo slide show on the top of every page, everything was working fine 2 days ago and then... nada. I didn't change anything to cause it AND it displays fine with Safari. I'm pretty sure I have all my plug-ins up to date etc., so WTF?!?!?! Thank you.

Perhaps "slideshow" isn't the best description (I am NOT a programmer). There are six images inside the wood-looking frame on the top of EVERY page, which used to cycle through on a loop. I can still see them with Safari, but although I didn't change anything when swapping out the jpgs a couple of days ago (and they worked fine until yesterday)... they're no longer viewable on Firefox. Again... WTF?!?!?

After reading your post, it sounds like you are experiencing an error with Safari. You may want to consider resetting your device, which is different from restarting. This article provides detailed instructions for Restarting, and Reseting:
Restart or reset your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support
How to restart
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the red slider appears.
Drag the slider to turn your device completely off.
After the device turns off, press and hold the Sleep/Wake button again until you see the Apple logo.
How to reset
You should reset your device as a last resort and only if you can't restart it.
To reset, press and hold both the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons for at least 10 seconds, until you see the Apple logo.

How to stop View Display error??

Hi friends,
In my report, if I try to filter my report on some value thats not in filter column, I get View Display error.
How to remove that view display error with some kind of custom message.
I tried to use "No Result" but still I'm getting the view display error.

HI all i got bonjour full version with safari but it keeps giving me a error when i start my pc in event viewer. i tried a uninstall of it and a reinstall but no go so my question is what would be the affect of uninstalling it and leaving it off will it hurt safari??.

i might have missed it or already had it from Itunes or something i did uninstall it and safari is slow now not sure if it is from that or not. but here is error i get from bonjour tell me if its a ok error or not. thank you if error is nothing to worry about i will put it back on.
