Netflix on Apple TV 3. Without payment via Itunes?

Hi folks,
I've got an Apple TV 3 and want to use Netflix on it. But can i also use this without payment via Itunes?

I cant think of any reason why not- I use a Netflix account on my ATV that isn't associated with my iTunes account in any way; or any iTunes account for that matter. I signed up for Netflix thru Netflix.com before I had Apple TV, and when I got my ATV and set it up for the first time I just entered in my Netflix info and have remained logged in ever since. My debit card is still charged monthly by Netflix; not by iTunes. Thats the great thing about apple TV- you buy the box, and from there you are not committed to any charges or fees through iTunes unless you buy something through your iTunes account via your ATV.

Dissapointed with apple itunes account

Update.... After a 24 hour e-mail delay, itunes cancelled my subscription with netflix and refunded my money. Itunes also asked me to resubscribe to netfix through them. I called Netfix and had my subsription started again in less than 2 minutes not using itunes. It was so nice being able to talk to someone on the phone with instant satisfaction. Sorry itunes, with today's technology there is no excuse for e-mail delays.

TS1567 I cannot upgrade my ipad as advised at the apple store by doing it via itunes. I keep getting told Mobile Device Service not there... It is on Automatic. Have reinstalled Itunes and AMDS.... Help please.

I have been to the Apple Store and been advised to upgrade my ipad2 with all since my purchase last year I need to go to Itunes on my computer, go to check, and click and all should upgrade. Not so easy, have had no success. Have reinstalled itunes, restarted my ipad and tried again.

Why don't you take a different approach like take it off of automatic and restart it on your own and then see if you can update the iPad?

You may also want to consider uninstalling and reinstalling iTunes and the AMDS - starting over from scratch.

My sister gave me her iphone 3gs because she got the iphone 4 but it won't go past apple logo tried restoring it via itunes but it can't it flashes a white screen then goes back to the apple logo and repeats. Yes it had water damage a long time ago

Movies are not bought via Netflix, then are rented or borrowed.

can apple tv be used to play purchased movies from a ipad without broadband via airplay

The only times I've tried - on holiday/vacation with no broadband - this has failed because Airplay of protected content requires a brief authorisation connection to Apple's servers.
Conversely an ipad hooked up to a TV using the HDMI adapter works without internet for media stored on it as does a Mac computer running iTunes eg MacMini with HDMI out.

Unable to review my apple id, [email protected], without payment options. Didn't find any none option over the steps of review. Tried debit card but didn't work. Hence I tried various forum to look into issue. Some say there might be some purchase item in list, and if you apple id isn't review then you might face this issue, none option will be removed. You can revert all your purchase and ask apple to reinstate - none option for you so that you can review your apple id.
Please help if that possible. Else please suggest.

No I didn't specifically. As very new to mac so don't know much about app-store, how it works.
But when I check purchase list over AppStore, it contain following :
1. iMovie
2. iPhoto
3. Keynote
4. Numbers
5. Pages
6. GarageBand
I didn't remember do any purchases w.r.t paid apps. Free apps I might have clicked but not paid ones, there should be payment gateway while you buy paid stuff or ask to register your payment details?

then credit card details will need to be entered before the account can be used to download any item from the store.

Because of I am still a student I no have any credit card anyway i try to apply with visa debit card already but it's still cannot. For right now i have no idea to do. Netflix on Apple TV in Costa Rica

We have Netflix legally in Costa Rica. A few months ago, I purchased an Apple TV (in Seattle).
According to Netflix, the Apple TV would was not working here as Apple had yet not updated the firmware to permit viewing in Costa Rica. I returned the unit.
Can anybody tell me whether this problem has been fixed?

Have you got the country/location set to UK - Netflix sign-in interface appears in UK without a Netflix subscription, but the menu entry may be disabled if you have a non-Netflix country set in Settings.

You cannot use the Japanese iTunes Store unless are physically present there and have a Japanese payment method. This applies even for free apps; you cannot get them from the Japanese iTunes Store if you are in the US.
If you are in Japan, you can set up a new iTunes Store account just to get free apps. See:

Read the steps carefully as the order in which you follow them is critical. Note that you can do this only when creating a new Apple ID. You cannot use an existing ID.
If you have moved to Japan and wish to change the country of your account permanently, you can contact the iTunes Store and ask them to clear your remaining balance. You will need to be able to provide a Japanese payment method, though.
