Netflix-scrambled Video (32SL415U)

Netflix-scrambled Video
The netflix interface is working, the tv(32SL415U) show or movie loads and then when it begins to play nothing plays.  A bunch of colors flash all over the screen and a dull sound plays. I am not sure why this is happening or if it is the tv or netflix.

Tried to reset the unit back to factory settings, then reconnect the unit to your internet service.
Make sure that you will set the yahoo profile widget properly then once everything has been setup, check your Netflix.

  • Scrambled video picture -- used to play fine

I downloaded from iTunes store an album with a bonus video. The video played fine in iTunes previously and now when played the video is scrambled (I do get audio).
I noticed when previewing some of the video content in the store I will get the scrambled video.
    Thanks

Try to delete the videos and put them back in...

  • Netflix streaming video freezes but audio is ok...

When I'm watching Netflix streaming videos, Firefox video freezes. Audio is fine and I can continue hearing the video. Firefox is the only browser that does this. IE9 and Google Chrome plays without the video freezing. I love Firefox and would like to continue using it. I get tired of having to change browsers just to be able to watch streaming video. Thanks!!!

    Try this:
Go to System Preferences - Bluetooth. Delete the keyboard from the list of devices by pressing the "-" button. Take the batteries out of the keyboard and reinsert them. In Bluetooth Preferences press the '+" button to add the new device. If the keyboard begins to pair, click the word "pair" and type in the passcode. Press return. The keyboard is now paired.
If the mouse is not pairing, try this: shut down the computer completely, unplug any USB mice, then turn off the power to the bluetooth mouse.  ONce the computer starts up again, wait for the pop-up looking for a mouse.  Turn on the power to the bluetooth mouse.  It should work normally now.

  • Vertical Stripe of Scrambled Video

Hello! I just received my new MacBook Pro 2 weeks ago, and I've been thrilled with it in every way except for this intermittent problem. Every so often when I wake from sleep I get this:
    http://www.flickr.com/photos/rollermog/3238897827/
If the display were cut into 4 even sections horizontally, the 2nd quadrant will show this scrambled video. It occurs on both graphics cards. It's very annoying and will go away on its own if I shut down the machine and let it be for a bit. It's a shame that this ~$3000 machine is having this problem! Is my graphics card bad? Do I need to send it back? Thank god I bought AppleCare!
Late 2008 MacBook Pro, 4 gig Ram, 320 gig 7200 rpm HD, 2.8 Ghz.
    Thanks for your time.

Visit any one of the freezing threads - you seem to be affected with the issue Some people have had better luck then others (I've had it happen twice - slightly different problem of video but similar) and have had a variety of "solutions" from Apple.
If you are still within your first 14 days, get them to replace it - but whatever you do, start documenting every time it happens - if nothing else call Apple Care and make them document the issue, and you also need to make your own notes about the contact so you have them in case you need them.

  • Iphone 3Gs TV OUT- Audio OK, Scrambled Video

While my first generation iphone's TV OUT works fine when connected to my TV, My 3GS TV OUT delivers Audio but only a scrambled Video image. Any thoughts?

Almost the same thing here on my end, although I have no sound AND signal screwed up. Apple store said I needed a Universal Dock to use with my Component AV cable, which didn't sound right, because I've used the cables in the past with iPod touch without the dock?? Anyway, bought the dock, hooked it all up... exact same problem. Now I'm researching online, and it looks like there may be a hardware compatibility issue with the new 3.0 software. Still looking, but this shouldn't be so difficult to hook up, so something is going on!

  • Scrambled Video and Static Audio

    Hey guys,
I'm having a problem with a project I'm working on. I was doing a final run-through check of the video..so far so good. When I exported the project though and scrubbed through the final .mov, a lot of the video was scrambled and the audio has static at what appear to be random intervals in the video. I checked the project back in Final Cut Pro (version 6 by the way) and noticed that the video had indeed become scrambled and full of static. I can say for certain that the video was not like this when I edited it. So, I decided to look back at the source video in the capture scratch folder, and sure enough, for some odd reason, I had the same result. At random intervals of multiple soruces, there was scrambled video and the audio became full of static.
I thought maybe there was a problem with the external hard drive I had stored the media on. So I used Techtool Pro and performed every test I could throw at it, and the drive passed.
I can't figure out what caused this problem or how to fix it. Anyone have a clue?

I've had this problem myself, and unfortunately never found a solution except for recapturing the footage and reconnecting media. But perhaps someone else will chime in.

  • IMac G5 scrambled video

I have an iMac G5 with a serial number that falls outside the S/N range for recall. It boots and runs, but has scrambled video. I can sort of see what is happening in background to see mouse and shut it down, etc... I zapped the PRAM and it booted with clear screen for 5 minutes and then went back to scrambled video.
It appears the motherboard and power supply are working, but that video chip is bad. Any ideas?

A good chunk of change if you are out of AppleCare.
In the future it is always wise to check your hardware before the machine becomes a year old, and/or before the three year AppleCare runs out if you purchased AppleCare before the machine became at least 1 year old. AppleCare's 3 year only extends to 3 years from the date of computer's purchase.

  • Can scrambled video be related to bad sectors on hard drive?

I bought my iMac refurbed from Apple, and it had to have both its logic board and power supply replaced four months later. That was a year ago, and in December it started exhibiting problems that I thought were related to the logic board: scrambled video at startup (a kind of multi-colored plaid on the screen, or strange distorted blocks on the display); kernel panics; slowdowns, crashes, and freezes in all applications, including the Finder; and refusal to shutdown. Since this iMac is out of warranty, and I did not purchase AppleCare on it, I had resigned myself to buying a new Intel iMac when the G5 finally died. This although it passed the Apple Hardware Test.
Today my AppleCare kit arrived for my Powerbook G4, and just for a lark, I thought I'd run TechToolDeluxe 3.1.1 on the iMac, not expecting it to show anything. To my surprise, it reported 14 bad sectors on the surface scan of the hard drive. (It passed all the other tests.) This would actually be good news, because I could buy a new hard drive for $65 or so from OWC and install it myself.
But my question is, how could bad sectors relate to the video issues I've experienced intermittently? Is it simply possible that both the logic board and the hard drive are failing?
Thanks for any insight or advice,
    Nancy

    Miriam,
I was afraid that would be the verdict: the strong possibility that both my logic board and my hard drive are failing. Sigh! And unfortunately my rev B iMac (17-inch ALS) is not covered under Apple's Extended Repair program, which is just for 20-inch models. Another sigh. Although it would cost me only $75 to replace the hard drive on this iMac (these non-Intel ones are user-serviceable), I'm not sure that I wouldn't be sending that money down a black hole if it's just a matter of time until my logic board gives up the ghost.
So I'm trying to decide whether to it's time to buy a new iMac now.
Thank you so much for your input. I really appreciate it. And I hope you've dug yourself out of all that snow!

  • Scrambled video screen from podcasts

The video screen on my 2-month old iPod Nano is scrambled on podcasts such as "Photoshop TV" podcast. Still pictures and type are good and everything else works perfectly. All searches to this point have been unsuccessful in solving this problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Okay, didn't realize my Nano didn't support video. So that answers my question. Will need to invest in an iPod that does. Thanks so much for the help. --glemac

  • HT4623 Netflix vga video out

I'm trying to watch Netflix on my projector but it says it don't support it so I need the Netflix 1.0.2 version but I don't know how to download it because it came out in 2010

This is correct....on the MX440, if you are running a single analog monitor, DO NOT connect it to the analog port, use the supplied digital-to-analog converter that was supplied with the board and connect your analog monitor to the digital port.  Using this configuration allows the the TV-out functionality of the VIVO 4-port adapter to work much better.
I have a new G4 MX440 VTD8X and had the same issue described here....the TV could not be detected by the video card when connected via RCA jacks (S-video worked, but the CLONE option was never present).  I moved my primary monitor from the analog to the digital port, and viola, the TV out functions perfectly now.
I don't know why this is, but I spent the better part of several hours downloading drivers, trying BIOS updates, and traversing the forums....to no avail.  I finally found the above workaround (not really a fix) to allow tv-out to function, and so I'm posting it to every thread with an MX440 experiencing TV-out recognition problems.

  • Netflix - No Video on 55X850C

Trying to play Netflix video on native TV app. Everything is great until I launch the video. Blue screen with "no signal" shows up. Audio is playing. Pushing "pause" pops the navigtion bar up, but background is still blue, with no video. THis is not all the time, but frequently. I have to unplug the TV to rest it, then works again. Anyone else see this?

  • How do I get the picture back on Netflix/other videos on itouch 6.0?

I used itouch to stream netflx to tv. Now the itouch (alone) won't show netflix (only sound) and also won't show some videos sent to me (says its on the tv). Its only the picture that is affected.( I can't go to itunes as I will loose my music bought in a different country).
Is there some setting on itouch that will fix this?

    - There are not video out setting on the iPod
    - I think that attachments are supported for Video out unless they are played through the Video app.
    - Do yoi have the12 Dec 2012  version of Nerflix installed on the iPod?
You can try the standard fixes:
    - Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
    - Restore from backup. See:
    iOS: How to back up
    - Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.

  • IMovie producing scrambled video with ken Burns effect

I was creating a movie with stills from iPhoto. The first 3 photos are using the Ken Burns effect just fine. Anything after that is absolutely unrecognizable. It looks like a scrambled mess of what is on my screen. I can actually see my Dock in the video. This is really strange. It occurs with photos I've edited and with ones I haven't. I have the latest version of Quicktime (7.0.4), iMovie (6.02) and iPhoto (6.0.4) as well as Tiger.
I've never had this problem before. As long as I don't use the Ken Burns effect I'm fine.
    eMac   Mac OS X (10.4.7)

    Hi Appleman1958
Thanks for the advise. I'll give it a try when I get home tonight. Went nuts last night looking for a way
to do it. Didn't want to do them one at a time or delete it and start over. Any idea why the pictures
are not nearly as sharp when I burn to a disc on iDVD. as they are when viewed on iMovie or Aperture?
    Thanks Again,

  • Netflix Audio/Video Out of Sync

My new AppleTV arrived today (yay!) and I quickly set-up and configured it. While generally impressed I'm observing that the audio and video for Netflix streaming are not synching up properly. I've got the ATV hardwired to my network and am not connecting via wireless.
I have both the HDMI and optical cables plugged in I've tried audio over both interfaces and with the ATV setting for "Digital Out" set to on and off and all variations have the same synch issue.
I've tested the same show with the Netflix app on my iPhone (over wifi) and using the OSX Silverlight player (hardwired) which both synch the audio/video properly.
Anyone else experiencing this? Did you find a solution?

I haven't seen any audio sync issues but I would like to drop a suggestion for those affected by this. I believe most televisions now now have a setting to compensate for this. (Well at least I know my Vizio 37" does.) My television has a setting (unique for each input) called lip sync and it's for correcting exactly this issue. Initially it's a feature for correcting out of sync problems between the television and satellite receivers which is actually a common problem. Most modern televisions should have a similar feature for fixing audio sync features. Doesn't hurt to dive into your televisions settings to see if you can correct your audio sync issue.
