Netflix Would Not Play on Mac OS X (Lion) After Upgrade

Netflix would not play on Mac OS X v10.7.5
After I upgraded to my older mac to Mac OS X Lion it would not play.
MacBook 13-inch, Aluminum, Late 2008
Software Mac OS X Lion 10.7.5 (11G63)
Processor 2.4 Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo
Memory 4 GB 1067 MHz DDR3
Graphics NVIDIA GeForce 9400M 256 MB
Netflix is stuck on the loading cue with the blue dot circling.
Spent hours on phone with Microsoft and Netflix, neither one was able to help me and told me to find help with Apple.
Already tried:
- Deleting ALL silverlight files/uninstall and reinstalling updated version 5 multiple times with restarting computer
- Cleaning history/cache
- Checked connectivity issues
- Changed proxy/hardware settings on wifi connection
- Check audio output/input settings
- Tried Chrome and Safari - same issue. Silverlight states that its not compatible with Firefox 17.
If anyone has any suggestions let me know.

Mass storage issues (does not play in car on home stereo) after upgrading to V4.5

I am having issues with Mass Storage after upgrading my 8130 to V4.5. I can no longe hook the device to my home stereo or car stereo to play music. My computer does read the device. It is not my media card. I still have my old blackberry: the card shows up on both phones and computers. It is not my cables as they work with my old phone. I have also done all the obvious things like pull the battery and play with the media card setting

Any idea is appreciated! After upgrading the device software to version 4.5 earlier this week (BlackBerry 8800 with v4.5.0.69 (platform 2.7.0.72)) as proposed by T-Mobile and RIM Germany something has changed with the behaviour when connecting via USB as a mass storage device:
Using a micro-SD card with 2 GB for some months now as a storage for MP3-Files which can be played with my Blue&Me system in my car. This is some kind of Microsoft Windows mobile platform (Automotive) providing playback of MP3-files etc connected via USB. This was never a problem with the previous software. It behaved as it should. Here is an example of what it previously did (taken from http://supportforums.blackberry.com/rim/board/message?board.id=BlackBerryDesktopSoftware&thread.id=3...):
"On your Blackberry device, you may or may not first see a message about insufficient current. It just means you can't charge your Blackberry with that PC USB port. Hit the escape key once (on your Blackberry device). You will be prompted a question : do you want to activate USB Mass Storage Mode. You can answer YES or NO. Answer YES."
The message about insufficient current is important here because the Blue&Me system does not provide the current as proposed by USB-standards. Anyway after clicking this message/warning away the Blue&Me would recognize the mass storage and start playback.
After upgrading to v4.5 there is no warning about current any more and the mass storage can't be recognized. I've checked both components: The B&M works fine with any other USB-devices connected, and the BB works fine with Windows after connecting via USB (presumably because there is enough current!). All standard settings in Options/Media card for enabling mass storage have been tested but without success.
Hopefully someone whose genius far exceeds mine will help me with this. Thank You.

I have exactly the same issue with my car stereo equiped with USB and my 8130 device. OS 4.3 works fine (and displays the "insuficcient current" message) and after upgrading to 4.5 mass storage mode not works anymore. And of course it works with regular desktop/notebook computers. I've made many experiments with different storage cards (now I use SDHC 8G from SanDisk). The card works fine if I attach it through card reader in my car, it even see multiple drives which cardreader creates.
Even more I wrote the small blackberry application in java (i'am professional programmer) and ordered BB keys for $20 to deploy it to device. The program uses the RIM api call Device.requestStorageMode() which in my opinion should turn on storage mode of device. But the result was the same - car audio don't see the mass storage with OS 4.5.
Interesting fact that in OS 4.3 the message about "insufficient current" appears BUT the device CHARGES via this USB without a problem. The same case with OS 4.5 - charging device is possible.
Also, I can't switch to OS 4.3 because it have the serious problem with bluethooth connections - it suddenly lost my handsfree link and its very bad if I get incomming call during driving and my handsfree not work.
Forgot to mention - now I have the OS 4.5.0.127

Fixed by either Apple TV update to software version 2.0.1 or iTunes updates to version 7.6.2. Both updates were applied simultaneously, giving me no idea which update (or if the combination of updates) solved the issue.

HD movie from iTunes will not play on Mac Mini

Having bought an HD movie from iTunes I can not play it on my Mac Mini.
Just get audio and Grey and white grid. Controls are there but invisible. Why?
It will play on my Macbook Air?

I spoke to Apple Care today and they told me to reset the VIdeo Card preferences by re-starting the mini whilst holding down command/Alt/P/R until a second start tone sounded. It seemed to sort out my problem.
But the real reason why it worked was that I had plugged in a keyboard and was not controling the Mini using Screen sharing (via Macbook Air) as I normally do. As soon as I went back to screen sharing the movie would not play again.
So if you are playing movies on a mini don't control using screen sharing.

Videos uploaded on SharePoint do not play on MAC OS

We are facing an issue wherein we notice that any video uploaded on SharePoint 2013, does not play on MAC OS. It continues to remain in the "Loading" state and does not start playback. Moreover an authentication window is prompted behind the safari
browser window, entering credentials into which does not prove any helpful either.
I've already gone through this blog and believe this is a standard issue.

Hi Girish,
According to your description, my understanding is that the video cannot play on Mac OS which was uploaded to SharePoint.
I recommend to use HTML5 code to embed the video in SharePoint and then it can play on Mac OS with Safari browser.

You may have to try deleting all the music from your phone (by going to Settings>General>Usage>Music, swipping All Music and tapping Delete), then sync it all back on with iTunes in order to fix this.

Let me also say this flash does work in Safari... just not Firefox. When a flash media link is clicked on FF will go to the link but only a black window appears with no text or error messages or sound.
As far as I know I am running the latest version of Firefox and Flash. I have no plans to upgrade from Snow Leopord to Lion.
Another possible data point for this is Flash updates do not install just by clicking on the download. The DMG downloads but I get an unknown data type when it trys to launch. There is an easy work-around for this be simply launching the DMG from Finder where it runs just fine.
Any thoughts as to why Firefox is not running Flash media files?

DVD burner would not play cd in iTunes

Help. I bought a new dvd multi-format burner. I put a CD in and opened it with iTunes. I could see all the songs. When I hit play the player just scrolled quickly down all the songs and stopped. It's not the cd. My other cd drive works fine. When I play the cd from the New burner drive it worked in Microsoft's Play music thing-a-ma-bob, but at a fraction of the volume.
Did a go around with I/O Magic who blamed iTunes. I told it was their drive. Does anyone know of a good external multi-format drive that will work without this issue? I do have the new iTunes 7 downloaded. Also, when I imported from this New drive and tried to replay the songs it did the same thing when playing directly from itunes library.

I had a problem where a iTunes burned cd would not play within iTunes. Here is what I did:
Quit iTunes
open your finder
go to your user account / library / preferences folder
look for the com.apple.iTunes.plist file
drag it to the trash
i trashed all the com.apple.iTunes... files (there were 4)
start iTunes and see if it works.
these are just preference files that get re-written once you set you open the program again.

I did not get a warning that v4 would not run on Mac X v 10.4.11
As a result when I replaced my v3.6 with v4 it would not boot up and I got an error message that it would not run on my system.
Now I have lost all my book marks and references that were on v3.6
Foxfire should have put a warning that it was not a universal replacement for v4 and would crash most Mac X v10 systems.
Why was there no warning???

I grabbed an older version of Foxfire 3.5.17 off a friends computer and it booted up great. It ever retrieved all my old bookmarks that I thought were lost.
Yes, you are correct. My Motorola Mac X with system 11.4 will not run the new Foxfire 4.0.
I only wish Foxfire would put a warning on the system requirements for 4.0.
They also need to provide a much better library of downloads for older versions of Foxfire, with an easy link on the Foxfire.com opening page.

Hi Terry, What version of Flash Player are you using? You should be able to tell by going to http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/ Does it happen in browsers? Could you test in Safari, Firefox and Chrome? What happens when you try to play them? Is it possible to post a screen shot? Thanks, -Dave

After buying and downloading videos from itunes, how can I burn them to a DVD that will play in a standard DVD player? I have tried burning the playlist from itunes, and the disc would not play in anything I put it into.

Out of excitement, I bought both seasons of the tv show "Sym Bionic Titan" from the itunes store, since I can't find it anywhere else, in hopes of being able to burn them to dvds and watch them. When I burned the disc from itunes, it would not play in any player I put it in. Not my dvd player, not my ps3, nothing. So the only place I can watch the show is on my computer, which is definitely not what I had in mind when I purchased it. Is there a way to burn the videos to a dvd that will play in a dvd player?

Unfortunately, the recording & movie industry does not respect the rights of the people who make them money, and thus you can only use the paid-for content in ways they see fit. Even if I lived in a bunker where no one else could possibly see the movie I paid for, therefor I'm not 'sharing it illegally', I would still not be allowed in a blue moon to copy that movie to DVD for TV viewing. Someone will tell you to get an AppleTV. How about Apple give us one for free? Until this changes, people wanting to use their content in multiple locations will continue to download music & movies via torrents, legally or illegally.

Firefox 4.0 would not run on mac os x, can't get back to 3.6.1

I got a message that 4.0 was available for downloading. I downloaded 4.0 and installed it in apps. when clicked firefox the error message advised me that 4.0 would not run on mac os x.
