Netflow reporting via SNMP

Looking for a Cisco config doc that talks at Netflow reporting via SNMPv3.
We have serveral routers (7600) that do not support Netflow (only on flexwan card), so our plan is to use SNMPv3 reporting.
I have a Cisco Netflow document reporting via SNMPv2c but cannot find any good examples using SNMPv3.

You cannot explicitly view netflow messages within MARS. Once the MARS starts to see a flow of netflow messages it will collect and collate the information for 7 days (including a weekend). This will then produce a baseline for this netflow source. After 7 days MARS will switch from collecting to monitoring. In monitoring state MARS will, using predefined internal metrics, determine if newer netflow records indicate exceptional traffic. If this is the case, then the MARS will generate an incident on the GUI. Over time, the MARS will adjust the baseline values using the received netflow records.
If you select to store IOS or ASA netflow records (admin -> system setup -> netflow configuration), then the records will be written to the internal database and archived (if configured). This will impact disk usage but would mean that if you needed to recover the MARS from archive after failure (re-image or RMA) then you could recover the baseline settings. Also, if you write them to disk, you can then export the raw netflow records to a file (admin -> system maintenance -> retrieve raw messages), but you need will to provide some external means of processing them.

How do I get the Username of an AnyConnect VPN session via SNMP?

I would like to monitor the usernames of my AnyConnect sessions via SNMP. This will allow me to monitor, graph, report, and alert using Solarwinds Orion (or any other SNMP software).
I would like to monitor this on my ASA 5520. I have run the show snmp-server oidlist command and I can see all of the OID's that I can poll. However, the OID I would like to poll crasUsername (1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.392.1.3.21.1.1) is not working.
Does anyone know how I can monitor the username of a AnyConnect session via SNMP?

Incorrect bandwidth values via snmp?

I have two cat 2900 16 port switches, for some reason when i read the bandwidth utiliz. values via snmp (PRTG, and MRTG give same results) i only show a steady 1-1.5 kbps up and down flow with occasianal spikes of the upstream to 2 or 3kbps..this is the same across all ports, now if i send something across the switch, nothing changes, nor is any other traffic i throw at the switch reflected... the peculiar thing is if i access the switch's web interface while conducting a 10.5 mbit transfer across the switch, i will see a spike of correct values (as i read on the hosts machines) reported by the snmp agents but only for 2 or 3 reads across 5 second periods..then its back to what i described again.. I've done factory resets on both and both of these snmp agents correctly read the bandwidht values from my dell and intel switches so i've ruled the agents out..
any ideas?

Thanks for the quick reply but thats not the problem. its not a units issue as i see somekind of traffic but when i'm maxing out the 100mbps port i see no change in the snmp reported graphs..but like i said i will see the actual values if i'm reloading or access the switches web interface.
this is such a weird issue..and its affecting two swithces that are the same model but from different places.
any ideas?

Interface errors (crc, in/output, collisions etc.) via snmp

I'm trying to understand how to get interface errors via SNMP. I do get stats via SNMP for ifInErrors / ifOutErrors etc, but I'm trying to get output via SNMP for the errors visible via the 'sh int x' command - CRC errors, input / output errors, collisions, runts. giants etc.).
1) The SNMP ifInError / ifOutError seems to give an overall counter of all errors from the time the device has started - Am I correct about this?
2) Is there any way I can get the interface-specific errors noted above via SNMP?

Depends on the device and version of code, but most likely you will get what you want from the CISCO-IF-EXTENSION-MIB. Look at objects like cieIfInRuntsErrs, cieIfInGiantsErrs, and cieIfInFramingErrs. You will also get some ethernet-specific errors from the ETHERLIKE-MIB.

Error to send a report via mail with BI Publisher

I added one Email server navigation via Admin>Delivery Configuration > Email with the server name and host.

Hi Christian.
You could put the lines of your list in a table of type SOLISTI1 and then use the function module SO_NEW_DOCUMENT_SEND_API1 to send the content of this table. You have to fill the table RECEIVERS with the address you want to send the report to.

Run XML Publisher Report via URL (like Oracle Reports)

Hi All,
Is it possible to run xml-publisher report via URL?
In Oracle Reports works this fine:

You say you want to let your users run reports using XMLP just by clicking on an URL same way you do with reports and without having to login. If I got the question right and assuming that:
1.Your company is not overly concerned on who runs what reports
2.Who sees what data
3.Your XMLP installation is on your intranet and firewalled from the outside
What you can do is:
On the main page of your XMLP Enterprise installation you should see a folder called "Guest". Any report you create under this folder is run as user "guest" which means you don't have to authenticate yourself as you would normally do.
I have tested this on my home server and this is what I've done:
1.Logged in as admin or any other user you've created with admin privileges created a report under the "Guest" folder.
2.Copied the URL, on my server it is "http://samba.private.net:15101/xmlpserver/Guest/People/People.xdo"
4.Logged off as admin and pasted the URL to a new browser window
5.Hit return and Voila, my report runs without the need to login to XMLP.

How to check current input/output rate on router (2821, etc..) subintenterface via SNMP, like cacti monitoring system.
I cant find OID to make this with snmpwalk.
Or there is no way to check current load by this way? Only polling?

This error message may occur due to following causes:
1. The ftp destination parameters of the relevant Job Server are not set correctly.
or
2. The ftp port is blocked.
Kindly refer SAP Note 1427440 to verify the solution.

Error while sending a report via alert

Hi,
I have created an alert to send a message which includes a report link. The alert worked fine, i did receive the report via email.But then once i started creating new alerts , i started getting errors in alert launching.I checked up with the services and found out that Event engine shows up an error which is
EventEngine:Clause inconsistency between EventEngine and Satellites
Start Unloading rules.
Also i have got troubles with the user generated already and which was working well all these while. Now the error i see in Login management of Adminstrator is
Login information for "NT AUTHORITY\NETWORK SERVICE". This login is not currently known to be a valid login.
I would be really thankful if someone could help me with this.

You get the above error message whenever you configure IIS to allow anonymous authentication for the web directory OracleBAM, using the NETWORK SERVICE profile for anonymous logins. You'll need to disable anonymous login for the BAM web directory.

HFM and Workspace 11.1.2.0 issues with opening Apps and reports via web

Hi,
we are running decentralized environment where we have HFM Web and App servers on Windows 2008 Server SP2 and few shared elements like OHS, HSS (Shared Services) and Workspace service from Solaris 10 SPARC (64bit) server.
The base version is 11.1.2.0 and on Windows we have fixes from 1-9 installed whereas on top of Solaris we have no fixes/patches yet installed.
When we test workspace from web server desktop connecting to Solaris server it seems traffic is fine as Apps are available and browsing them seems to work normally = Webserver is able to locate Workspace on Solaris, Workspace is able to connect to HFM App server and App server again able to connect HFM App db container.
When we access to workspace url over web (the traffic according to my understanding should go via OHS to Webserver and then redirect to Solaris server Workspace and then like mentioned above.
Something gets wrong here as when accessing Workspace url we get non-showing icons, $ characters in messed up menu rows and few error messages like :
- Invalid or could not find module configuration
- Required application module hfm.appcontainer is not configured. Please contact your administrator
- Namespace Communication Error
Also opening test report via web url workspace gives error:
Required application module reporting.reportViewer is not configured. Please contact your administrator.

Our experience from previous lower environment was that symptons like described might be caused by wrong service start order. Thus we tried to review this carefully and boot in correct order, but still problems. Also, boot order shouldn't be totally wrong as workspace works when using directly from Web server.
If any of mentioned symptons rings anyone's bell please reply.
Something still in firewalls or rather in configuration, OHS maybe?
At this point we don't yet dream of proper loadbalancing or High availability, but rather get this single web and single app server server + shared elements from Solaris server to work without error messages.
We do know that release 11.1.2.1 is supposed to fix many things, but we need to get this 11.1.2.0 working in a way or another.

How to email reports via SMTP server FORMS AND REPORTS 6i and databse 8i

through reports builder reports are build but i need to email reports via SMTP server is it possible in 6i are not?if yes the how please rep asap

If it will be a scheduled report, you can create a batch file to run report with reqd parameters and generate it's pdf in a oracle directory.
Then schedule the batch file on oracle database pc, (thru task scheduler if OS is windows),
Then a email procedure will be required which will pick up the pdf from oracle directory, attach it and send mail.
Even the email procedure can be scheduled thru oracle job, but the OS batch schedule time and Oracle Job time should be handled as some gap will be needed between the two.
As for the email smtp procedure with attachments, you can find one in this forum or try googling it.

I have draft an report via API/UI and now I would show this report on Desktop/SAP

because I get the Docnum of my before safed draft but It wouldn´t shown at the SAP now so I have to open it via code
