Netgear WGR614v6 Problems with Ebay and others-Help!!

Just put in a Netgear WGR614v6 router and I can connect to the internet thru my 2-wire DSL modem (non-gateway1070-b).
First issue was that any email I sent out-bound from Mac Mail that had an attachment would just sit in my outbox, I then disabled the SPI firewall on the Netgear router and all worked fine.
The I went on to do further testing and found out that I can launch into ebay and ebay will only let me do one sign/in and or search then I will get a 'THE CONNECTION WAS RESET" page saying that "The connection to the server was reset while the page was loading."
Also when I access my SBC/Yahoo email thru the web, I can log onto my account and read my first or any one message, but then when I go to view a second the same thing happens as with ebay.
Anybody have any ideas as to what is going on.. is this a port 25 thing? All works fine when connected directly to the DSL modem.

Figured it out, had to bridge by DSL modem and use the router as my DHCP server. All is working fine now.

Problem with youtube and other video websites

I have a problem with youtube and other video websites:
Everything is up to date (flash, FF, my plug ins..) but i keep getting freezes when the video loads. I can hear sound but i can only see the first frame of the video.
I've reinstalled flash/firefox or tried updating them again for about 4 times now and my cookies/cache has also been errased which i usually don't do. If i enter FF's safe mode it also freezes.
I hope someone could help out, i've searched for answer on google before and tried everything i saw but it didn't helped.

Hmm, so that person had a conflicting plug in.
Problem is that whenever i enter firefoxes safe mode which disables every plug in, i still have the youtube freeze/crash

Xfi Xtreme Audio Problems with Microphone and other things NEED HELP!!!!

? Alright i have exhausted my search for an answer for my problems.... This is a last resort now!
Im running Windows 7
st Problem: I was having problems with my microphone where people heard themselves through my microphone. Ok well i have a creative Fatility series headset with a supposed noise canceling mic. So last night i was like screw it imma put in the install disk for my sound card Xfi Xtreme Audio.
This Arose my 2nd Problem: Now that the drivers were installed and i finaly got a volume panel it says im running Windows Vista. The name next to my card says Sound Blast X-Fi Xtreme Audio (Vista). Alright so i am running windows 7.... What the heck! Next thing is my microphone doesnt even work! This is just awsome btw and im pretty sure the volume panel isnt even the way it was when i was on an XP system.
So if anyone has a fix to this problem let me know it would be great!

A quick update i was able to fix Problem 2, i had to get rid of what i installed so im just back to Problem . I dont have the VOlume Panel anymore but my microphone still seems to make it so that people can hear themselves....

Problem with Safari (and other browser) fonts rendering

Hi,
I have a problem since yesterday with the rendering of fonts in all of the browser in my computer:
Gmail, Google search and fonts in many other size are rendered BOLD.
I don't remember how and when this happened, but it's very annoying specially for email and google reader...
Any help it would be very appreciated.

Booting in Safe Mode takes a little longer than a normal boot but it deletes font caches and might help.

Uploading problem with Ebay and Dreamweaver MX

I am unable to sync websites with Dreamweaver MX 6.01. When I connect to the remote server, it shuts down the program. I have reinstalled the program, but it still does it. Also, when I use Safari, Opera, and Firefox to upload photos on Ebay, the upload process fails completely, and blows me directly into My Ebay, as if I was not on the selling page at all. I have to go to my PC to do the photo uploads. Seems like it may be a related issue, some kind of uploading problem with Rosetta, or something. I am using a Macbook Pro with the 2.0Ghz processor, connected with ethernet cable, and firewall is set to off. Any ideas?

For E-Bay you might try the following:
Type the following command in Terminal (while Safari is NOT running):
defaults write com.apple.Safari IncludeDebugMenu 1
Then launch Safari, and you will be able to use the new Debug menu.
If you ever wish to disable it again, just repeat the command with a "0" instead of a "1".
Under the Debug menu, you'll see the User Agent sub-menu; select Windows MSIE 6.0 from the list and then try connecting to your web site
Dreamweaver you might need to update your version.

Syncing problems with Itunes and Ipod Help?

Okay..I don't even know what's been happening with the newest Ios 5 update for apple products, but since the update, my ipod hasn't been able to synch with Itunes.
For example, I manually organize all my music and when I edit the album artist or the album artwork etc, it would show up in Itunes perfectly, but on the Itouch, nothing has been changed. This means that not only does it now show the album artwork that I set up in Itunes, but also all the artists as well. I've seen many people so far having this problem, but through all the solutions people have said, none have worked for me. Another problem is that it also mix and matches all the songs I have downloaded as well. Only the songs I purchase seem to be alright.
I have tried many things from restoring my Itouch and re-downloading music, manually re-synching my Itouch to see if the artists will show up, but to no avail, it hasn't worked.
Please help me. It's getting quite frustrating that nothing is synching since the newest ios 5.1.1 update. Thank you

The ipod touch will only sync to one computer at a time. If you sync to another it will indeed erase the content from the ipod first, then replace with content from the new computer.
Sign into your account on the computer, make sure it is authorized, then connect the ipod:

Having problems with hotmail and other sites.User arrow wont turn into the hand to click on some things. While in hotmail can't go back to inbox, have to reload each time I look at one of my e-mails, And cant write new e-mails VERY ANNOYED!!!

also on aol mail, Also tried to use the feedback part of this website but when it came to hit the submit button.... it wouldn't change into the hand to let me click... I had this problem as soon as I downloaded the new update, I then couldn't find a later version so I downloaded the 9 beta version it worked only for a while.... HELP!!!! Uninstalled everything PA, also uninstalled mangler which was the only thing that depended on PA. It didn't work anyway.
No pulseaudio --kill command so I couldn't run.
Checked systemd journal and there is no mention of PA this time.
Checked top, and grepped ps aux and there is no PA there either.
I also rebooted the machine completely just to make sure. However VLC and HTML5 have the same incompatibilities.

You have spotted that mistyped.
However, turns out Internet Browser that I have does not permit the use of XSL. After I fixed the file, I got this
message:
The XML page cannot be displayed
Cannot view XML input using XSL style sheet. Please correct the error and then click the Refresh button, or try again later.
Keyword xsl:apply-template may not be used here.
Oh well...
Anybody knows, if IE can or can not be used to view the
XML that reference XSL??

Huge problems with 9360 - and NO help

I am attempting to make contact with someone who can assist me with a
problem I have been having with a handset (9360) that I got in December
2011 (on contract).
I have had to return the phone 3 times and now it is claimed that the phone
is beyond repair, while I still have to pay the contract - no replacement.
I have had almost NO use of this phone.
I will NEVER recommend this handset, and where before I had only good
things to say about Blackberry; I will NOT go through this THEFT again. I'd
rather use SAMSUNG or some other stupid phone. I am disgusted. Moreover
about the fact that I am unable to establish contact with someone that can
take responsibility for this horrible product. I tried phoning and texting
the rep from RIM, but he totally ignores me (I have his name and number
should someone wish to fire him)
But then maybe RIM knew their products are FAULTY and made sure that they
cannot be contacted for complaints.

It is possible that your PB was cut off in the middle of updating the OS. Try this;
- hold the + and the - levers/buttons AND the On/Off button on the top of your BP down. Yes, all three at the same time until the unit restarts.
This should reset the PB and go from there. One other thing. You can not be in a hurry to update the OS. It can take as long as 40 minutes. RIM is working on making OS updates faster. The latest OS version is 1.0.7.3312.

I would like to add I might have the problem solved.
I found an older Windows forum from 2009 where another person had a similar problem and it was suggested to use the add 'local printer'. Of course, the wizard set it up so not sure what it did but I did what they suggested and the scanner finally works.
Also, when I went to print something, the preview picture came up and the door to the printer popped open but one of my ink cartridges is out so it couldn't print.....bummer.
At least I never got the 'driver not installed correctly' message.
As soon as I get a chance to get some more ink and try it, I'll post the results.

So I went here and tried finding the right version of Safari to reinstall, per the window's advice. Loaded 5.1.9. Still nothing. So why did the "security upgrade" eliminate something that, only an hour prior to this disaster, was working just fine thank you.

Uh Oh... Major problem with iPad3 and BitmapData [HELP]

So.. I have some stageWebView elements that use BitMapData to capture a screenshot of the browser to allow for other elements to animate ontop of the browser ( sharing options, etc ).
When I capture this on the new iPad ... and add the bitmap to the stage the bitmap is zoomed in twice the size it should be. Its not capturing the true viewport. its zoomed in.
This is what I'm using to capture the bitmap.

Safari issues opening ebay and other sites

Why is Safari inconsistent when opening some ebay pages? I also have issues logging into captial one and household bank credit card management pages????

I experience similar problems with eBay and Bank of America (after login, I cannot get the selected accounts page to open).
In most cases, the problem first asserts itself by a very slow or stopped progress bar; then the error dialog says something about not being able to interpret the page coding, or it may simply say timed out or server not responding.
If I then start Firefox and access the very same pages, those same sites work perfectly (latest version of Firefox).
My guess is that Safari is not using standard HTML, or perhaps those websites that don't load have started using somet newer coding that Safari does not interpret properly.
Anyway, I've made Firefox my default browser for the time being.

I have a problem with Swing and Threads, I hope you help me (because I'm in the firsts two weeks in my new job)
I have two classes:
Form1: Its a JPanel class with JProgressBar and JLabel inside.
FormularioApplet: (the main) Its a JPanel class with a form1 inside.
I have to download a file from a server and show the progress of the download in the JProgressBar. To make it I do this:
In Form1 I make a Thread that update the progress bar and gets the fole from the server.
In FormularioApplet (the main) I call to the method getDownloadedFile from Form1 to get the File.
THE PROBLEM:
The execution of FormularioApplet finishes before the Thread of Form1 (with download the file) download the file. Then, when I call in FormularioApplet the variable with the file an Exception: Exception in thread "AWT-EventQueue-1" java.lang.NullPointerException is generated.
First main begins his execution, then call to Form1 (a thread) then continues his execution and when the execution is finished ends the execution os Form1 and his thread.
How can I do for main class call the function and the Thread download his file after main class assign the file of return method?
How can I pass information froma class include an a main class. Form1 can't send to main (because main class made a Form1 f1 = new Form1()) any information from his end of the execution. I think if Form1 can say to main class that he finishes is job, then main class can gets the file.
I put in bold the important lines.
Note: My level of JAVA, you can see, is not elevated.

Additional things to try.
Try this first. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.
Change the channel on your wireless router. Instructions at http://macintoshhowto.com/advanced/how-to-get-a-good-range-on-your-wireless-netw ork.html
Another thing to try - Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
