Netgear WN111v2 Mac Installation Software???

I have a Netgear WN111v2 USB Wireless adapter that I want to use to connect to a Netgear Router.
I thought since I was replacing my old Netgear Wireless adapter (it got broke) that I wouldn't need the installation software (it only comes with Windows installation software).
My System Pref->Network doesn't recognize the adapter when plugged in.
So, is there a Mac version for this adapter or am I going to have to return it to the store?

A quick Internet search appears to indicate that a different chipset is used for the version in question. Unless you can locate an original or third-party Mac driver for this very device, you may have to look for another solution.

  • HT3986 Mac Installation Disc after installing Windows 7 on BootCamp

    Hi,
I juest installed Windows 7 using BootCamp. The next thing I need to do is download the Mac installation software to load onto Windows.
My Macbook Pro with OS X 10.8.4 didn't come with the disc. I can't use my wifi on the windows side presumably due to needing OS X on there.
I need to download the OS X installation software onto my memory stick so I can load it onto Windows.
Could someone please be kind enough to give me the link to the correct download. I've tried looking throught Apple site but can't seem to find it anywhere.
    Thanks in advance.

Also when i click the download button for the OS X Recovery Disc Assistant v1.0 on the apple website I just get this message:

  • To Upgrade from 10.6.8 to Mavericks, do I need to add an update called "Mac Installer" 1.0?

I hope to update to Mavericks from Snow Leopard 10.6.8. Somehow--I don't remember how--I received this update called Mac Installer version 1.0  2.9 mb. I have been suspicious, so it is in my trash. This was received about 3 months ago. The only thing similar I can find is an Apple Software Installer dated in March 2012, but it is only 1.3mb. Is anyone aware of this kind of update for Snow leopard in order to go to Mavericks?

  • Installed mac installer.dmg Seagate GoFlex and drive and file names now in Chinese characters

I just installed the mac installer.dmg from Seagate on a second Mac so that I could use Seagate GoFlex drive with the computer, but now the drive shows up with its name and the file names in Chinese characters!  Connecting the drive to the original mac has the drive show up named properly but a few of the files show up in Chinese characters.  What gives?

I should add that these are the instructions I received from Seagate in answer to the same inquiry.  I have not yet gone to work to give them a try.
    Thank you for contacting Seagate.
I am sorry you are having problems with your Seagate drive. Let me help you resolved this language issue. I understand your drive verbiage is in Chinese. I would try reinstalling software, and then following the installation  process in this link below in order to correct this issue.

  • Mac installer not working 10.7.4 Macbook Pro

My mac installer is not working ever time I try to install something I get an error message saying: this problem all started about 3 months ago when I installed osx lion

I bet the installers are already downloaded. If not download it manually on the apple site. after that try PRAM . Restart Mac, when the screen goes black and press & hold option - command -R -P and release after 3 boot tones. Then after the restart disconnect from the net and make sure the date (year) is still 2011 and install the softwares.

  • Downloading ox x installation software, downloading ox x installation software

Evidently,  the new Mac Pros don't come with an installation CD.    I am trying to install a second instance of os x on a second hard drive as a backkup and also install bootcamp to use windows.
Without an installation cd, the mac is telling me to download the installation software.   My internet is very slow and it says it will take 22 hours
to download the installation software.    With the Mac,  there doesn't seem to be any way to pause and resume the download.   If I want to
pause,  I have to cancel and then start from scratch.
Is there anyway to get the downloads as a file with the capability of pausing and resuming?

If your computer came with Mountain Lion or you are installing from the Recovery, you can't resume or pause the download.
If you have upgraded to Mountain Lion, you can pause and resume the download if you download Mountain Lion from the App Store. Open App Store > Purchases and download Mountain Lion, and you can also pause or resume the download there

  • Cant Sync Mac Desktop Software with Mac Outlook 2011

    Hi,
I cant Sync Mac Desktop Software with Mac Outlook 2011, Calendar and Contacts etc.
The sync button is not highlighted on the BB Mac Desktop Software therefore it can't be clicked.
I have turned on sync in Outlook in Preferences under Sync Services.
In the BB Deskstop Software, when i click on the Calendar function, it says "There are no writable Calendars available for syncing on this computer. The Contacts section says "sync services is currently turned off on this Mac"
I have updated both the Deskstop software and Mac Outlook to the latest updates.
    Regards.

Hi and Welcome to the Community!
First off, you must have installed one of the compatible Desktop Organizer apps:
KB12268Applications supported by BlackBerry Desktop Software for Windows for synchronization
Attempting to use anything NOT on that list will, of course, fail.
Secondly, you must have not have Outlook installed as "Click To Run":
KB24040 Support for Microsoft Office 2010 Click-to-Run installation
If you have it installed in that manner, you must correct that.
I have no idea how your prior machine was configured, but I know 100% that you can synchronize to a Win7X64 Laptop with Outlook 2010...I do it all the time.
    Good luck!

  • Mac installation CD - 10.6 for my macbook

    hello
i have recently lost my mac installation dvd for my macbook 3,1 model
i have tried recovering it with my new macboom pro installation dvd (10.6) but got the error - this mac os x cannot be installed on your computer. from reading i understand that my MBP cd wont be compatibale with a MB computer ( the 3,1 model) and therefor i must get a new retail cd for installation
what is the exact name of this cd - would MB (model3,1) like it says in about his mac is enough?
where can i purchase this CD, does someone have a link? i cant find
    thank
    Lo Ani

Thomas covered most of it, I think.
But, you really want to get the disks from Apple for your Macbook. The Snow Leopard retail DVD doesn't contain the bundled software like iMovie, iPhoto, etc. That comes on the disks that came with your computer. So, you should really contact AppleCare and get replacement disks. If you have upgraded to a newer version of iLife, then just buying the Retail Snow Leopard DVD is fine.
Except that the version number of the install DVD, there aren't different versions of the retail DVD. I believe the current shipping version comes with 10.6.3. The originals were 10.6.0. Since your Macbook came shipped with 10.5, any of the retail versions of Snow Leopard will work. The retail version of Snow Leopard is white with a picture of a snow leopard on it. If you order from a site like ebay, the seller may be trying to sell a disk that came with a Mac, not the retail version. Those are grey and won't work on your Macbook as you found out trying to use your other Mac's disks.

  • Driver or installation software for ipod?

Hi, I got a used 2G ipod nano and, even though I have the latest version of iTunes installed, my Mac doesn't respond to the ipod in any way, nor the ipod to it. I've tried different computers, ports, and USB cables. Is there some sort of installation software or driver that is needed to get the computer to acknowledge the ipod?

everyone is having same problem it's pretty simple i guess. when prompted for the cd, select "i don't have cd, show other options" or something like that. then click on the browse button and type C:\WINDOWS\system32 or select manually. do this three times, so that the computer installs the 3 necessary drivers. and then your ipod is ready.

  • Mac OSX Software Update Trouble

Everytime i go to update it, it will restart and get stuck at "configuring installation".

  • Missing Installation Software

A Macbook Pro was just purchased for me but I've just noticed it did not come with installation software. What should I do?

    Hi M,
Apple no longer ships OS install discs with Macs. Make sure you maintain a current bootable backup (like CarbonCopyCloner or SuperDuper!) and/or a Time Machine backup. If issues occur, you can restore from one or the other.

  • Is Mac Installer 1.0 needed for update to Mavericks from 10.8.6 Snow Leopard?

Somehow I got a notice that I could update directly to Mavewricks for free from my current 10.6.8. I have no memory of how I got the notice. About the same time I got a download for Mac Installer 1.0 which I never asked for and never came through System Update . . . it was just there among my downloads. At first I thoght that the Mac Installer was necessary somehow beforehand for the Mavericks upgrade. Now I am very suspicious, given what I have been able to turn up about the Mac Installer and its association with malware. Can anybody shed soe light?

There is an Apple Software Installer Update 1.0 which probably should be installed. http://support.apple.com/kb/dl1512
If there is something else, then I would just trash it.

  • Acrobat XI Standard bundled with ScanSnap- Need Mac Installer

I recently purchased a Fujitsu ScanSnap that comes with a full version of Acrobat Standard XI and a valid serial number.  I need the Mac installer but can only find the Pro version in the downloads and the SN is not valid for that version.
    Fujitsu support sends me here.

Adobe Acrobat XI Standard is only released for Windows and is not available for Mac OS.
To use Adobe Acrobat on Mac OS, you'd indeed need to purchase/subscribe to Adobe Acrobat XI Pro.
You might be eligible for upgrade pricing from your current bundled Windows Acrobat Standard license to Macintosh Acrobat Pro license.
Also there generally is an cross-grade option available (changing license from Windows to Mac OS) –  however, as your software was bundled with the Fujitsu ScanSnap purchase a different set of rules will likely apply, the license wouldn't be a standard retail license. I'd recommend contacting Adobe Sales support to confirm this.
This link http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobatpro/buying-guide.html should contain a phone number  (I see an Australian 1800 number as the page localises).
When you call them make sure you have ready:
Copy of the original purchase docket for the ScanSnap.
The Adobe Acrobat XI Standard serial number you were given with the product (Adobe will be able to tell from the serial number what type of license it is).
    Best of luck.
    Cari
