NetGroup messages forwarding limit?

I'm currently getting window alert inside Firefox 4 when i'm sending a lot of small messages via sendToNearrest which is saying "A script in this movie is causing Adobe Flash Player 10 to run slowly. etc..."
I don't have any infinite loops and i have checked memory for leaks as well. It's possible, that there are some limits on operations per second?
How to route a lot of messages on a large Group?

I suspect that the problem is related with the new firmware of the E52: 34.001.
My sister's E52 hasn't got the same problem and is not upgraded to the latest firmware but has got still the 033.002 one.

  • When I send an SMS message from my Text Message Forwarding enabled Macbook to an Android, it breaks the message up into several out of order chunks. Is there a solution to this?

I have a 2012 Macbook Air and an iPhone 5, both with up-to-date software. When I set up Text Message Forwarding, everything went according to plan, until I sent a relatively wordy text to a friend (from my Macbook) to a friend on an Android phone. It chopped the text up into several 2 line fragments, and delivered them in seemingly random order. The fragments were specifically 2 lines, and not 160 characters, which is the "limit" you used to get on old SMS messages. It continues to happen.

Are you using any emoji, or accented characters? If so, try not to. Also, I recall something about a double space at the very end of the text. Unfortunately, I don't remember if you should use them or avoid them.. Beyond that, there's not much you can do. How the text is delivered is under control of the carrier.

  • Text Message Forwarding Not Displaying MacBook Pro

I am having an issue in which one of my MacBook Pros no longer appears in the menu for "Text Message Forwarding" on my iPhone 6.
I have two MacBook Pros (named MBP Old and MBP New), I only see MBP Old in the "Text Message Forwarding" menu.
Yesterday, this was all working correctly, and MBP New was appearing and active in the "Text Message Forwarding" menu on my iPhone.
    Devices Used:
Mid 2013 Retina MBP 15" on Yosemite 10.10.2
    iPhone 6 on iOS 8.1.3
I have performed the following in different combinations/orders in my attempt to resolve the issue (with no fix so far):
Logged out of iMessage/iCloud accounts on MBP
    Rebooted MBP
Re-Enabled iMessage / iCloud accounts on MBP
    Disabled iMessage/FaceTime on my iPhone
    Rebooted iPhone 6
    Re-Enabled iMessage/FaceTime on my iPhone
Reset network settings on my iPhone
    Rebooted iPhone 6
Ensured all devices were on the same Wi-Fi network and connection was working
This was all working last night and I made no changes this then, so I am quite confused.

I'm having a similar issue as Yashar_S. I have an iPhone 5, a 3rd-gen iPad, a mid-2009 MacBook Pro, and an iMac 5K. All are running the latest os, as appropriate (iOS 8.2. OS 10.10.2). All are logged into the same Apple ID, have the same listing of phone number and email addresses for iMessage, etc. On my iPhone, under Text Message Forwarding, I see my iPad, but only *one* of my computers -- whichever one was the last that I logged out-then-back-in to iMessage.
Before this latest Yosemite update, my iPhone would list two computers, but they would be duplicate listings, though only one of the listings would work. In order to have the iPhone recognize the new iMac, I had to put my MBP to sleep (or shutdown) -- it wasn't enough to log it out of iMessage.
So I'm wondering if the "fix" to the duplicate listings issue was only a partial (i.e., cosmetic) fix and not the true, complete fix at all?
    Sigh!

    Hi there omengomeng,
You may want to make all of the settings are configured properly on your devices. Take a look at the article below for more information.
Connect your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, and Mac using Continuity
To use Continuity for SMS and MMS on your iPad, iPod touch, and Mac:
Update your iPhone to iOS 8.1 (when available).
Enable iMessage on your Mac and iOS devices.
On your iPhone, go to Settings > Messages and turn on Text Message Forwarding.
Your iPad, iPod touch, or Mac will display a code you can enter on your iPhone to verify the SMS and MMS feature.

  • Text Message Forwarding not appearing on iPhone 5

I'm trying to set up Text Message Forwarding between my iPhone 5 8.1.2 and iMac 10.9.5.  For some reason it is not showing up in my Settings > Messages options on my iPhone.
I am signed in with my Apple ID on both devices.  I can receive iMessages on my iMac but cannot receive SMS messages.  In the Settings > Messages > Send & Receive options, I have both my phone number and email checked.  I have searched high and low for answers but have not been able to find a solution.
    Anyone have any ideas?

    Hi jello32,
Happy Holidays!  The resource below will explain how to setup the Continuity feature and troubleshoot issues with SMS and Text Message Forwarding between your iPhone and iMac.
Connect your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, and Mac using Continuity - Apple Support
    http://support.apple.com/en-us/HT6337
To use Continuity for SMS and MMS with your iPhone and your Mac, iPad or iPod touch
SMS requires an iPhone with iOS 8.1 and an activated carrier plan.
Your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch need to use iOS 8.1, and your Mac needs to use OS X Yosemite.
Sign in to iMessage on your iPhone, your other iOS devices, and your Mac using the same Apple ID.
    On your iPhone:
Go to Settings > Messages > Send & Receive > You Can Be Reached By, and add a check to both your phone number and email address.
Go to Messages > Text Message Forwarding, and enable the device(s) you would like to forward messages to.
Your Mac, iPad, or iPod touch will display a code. Enter this code on your iPhone to verify the SMS feature.
Get help using Continuity with iOS 8 and OS X Yosemite - Apple Support
    http://support.apple.com/en-us/TS5458
If a Continuity feature like Handoff, phone calls, Instant Hotspot, or SMS messages isn't working the way you'd expect, make sure your devices meet the requirements. Then check your settings.
    Check System Requirements
Make sure your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, or Mac meet the system requirements for Continuity, and for the specific features you want to use.
    Check your settings
Check the following settings on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch:
Go to Settings > Wi-Fi and turn on Wi-Fi if necessary.
Make sure your iOS devices are connected to the same Wi-Fi network by going to Settings > Wi-Fi and comparing the name of the network each is on.
Go to Settings > Bluetooth and turn on Bluetooth if necessary.
Go to Settings > General > Handoff & Suggested Apps and make sure Handoff is on.
Go to Settings > Phone. If you see Wi-Fi Calling, turn it off.
Check the following settings on your Mac:
Go to the Wi-Fi icon at the top of your screen and turn on Wi-Fi if necessary.
Make sure your Mac and iOS devices are connected to the same Wi-Fi network. Go to Settings > Wi-Fi on your iOS device and compare the name of the network with the Wi-Fi network on your Mac.
Go to the Bluetooth icon at the top of your screen and turn on Bluetooth if necessary.
In System Preferences > General, select “Allow Handoff between this Mac and your iCloud devices.” If you don't see this setting, your Mac may not support Handoff.
Open the FaceTime app, go to FaceTime > Preferences and turn on “iPhone Cellular Calls.”
Go to System Preferences, and sign out and then sign in again to your iCloud account.
If your device can't access the Internet using Instant Hotspot
If you don't see the option to use your iPhone or cellular-enabled iPad as an available Wi-Fi network, make sure that your cellular provider has provisioned Personal Hotspot on your device.
I hope this information helps ....

  • I recently bought a new macbook pro and set it up using the migration assistant and my mac mini.  I can't get the text message forwarding feature to work with both computers.

I recently bought a new macbook pro and set it up using the migration assistant from my mac mini.  I can't get the text message forwarding feature to work with both computers.  It keeps saying that I only have 2 devices setup, my iPad and my macbook pro.  When I mess with the setting on my mac mini, it goes from saying that that is one of the devices to my macbook pro being the 2nd device.  I think that something happened as a result of my using the migration assistant and now it thinks that my macbook pro and my mac mini are one and the same computer.  Any ideas?

    Thanks, Sig.
The old computer is a 2.6 Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo
The new one is a 2.3 GHz intel core i7
In going over this, thanks to "tallking it out" with you, I did discover the Text Edit problem.  Because I've still been unable to get the new computer text size (fonts or whatever) to match the old computer, I did not notice that the curser is now different--the line midway down the curser has to be placed on the line I am working upon, otherwise the edits go elsewhere on the page.  Now, with a bit of difficulty, I am able to get Text Edit to work correctly.
If you have any ideas as to why my menu bar and Text Edit type are still so slow, I'd love to have them.
(I went through the process you suggested earlier, re my Trackpad preferences, and found no improvement.)

  • How do I DISABLE text message forwarding between my iPad and iPhone?

I want to DISABLE text forwarding from my iPhone 5 (IOS 8.1.1) to my IPad 4 (IOS 8.1.1) but....I have already tried the following (so PLEASE do not make these suggestions):
I want to be able to text from my iPhone and those text messages (either SMS or iMessage) NOT go to my iPad.  BUT, I want to also text from my iPad and those messages NOT go to my iPhone.  I want the text messages to stay on each device independently.
Since I still want to be able to text from my iPad, I do NOT want to turn off iMessage.  If I turn off iMessage, I cannot text from my iPad.
    I disabled HANDOFF
I disabled TEXT MESSAGE FORWARDING (from my iPhone)
Creating a new Apple ID is not an option since there is other data that I need between devices.
Having followed these steps, I still cannot stop the texts from forwarding between devices.  Any ideas?

On your iPad, can you deselect your phone number as an option in Settings>Messages>Send and Receive at and then add an email address at which you can be reached? My iPod Touch is set up to use an email address (I have 6 email accounts) and the messages on my iPod do not sync with my other devices.
I Do have to say that it has been ages since I set up the Touch for Messages, but I am running iOS 8 on it. I can't remember if I had to sign out of messages and start all over again on the touch in order to deselect the iPhone number.

  • Multiple devices showing in text message forwarding

Is anybody seeing multiple devices when turning on "Text Message Forwarding" (Continuity for SMS) in iOS 8.1?

This was a keychain issue for me...  Working now….
You may want to make a back up before deleting those entries just incase…
This is the entry to look for in Keychain Access "com.apple.ids: localdevice-AuthToken” delete all entries with that listed. But not yet…
    Step by step:
    • Create new admin users on any Mac or Mac(s)
    • Sign out of the Messages app (sign out of your Apple ID / Messages) on your iPhone
    • Then sign into the new, admin-test user account(s) on your Mac(s)
    • From there, sign into iMessage in Messages (sign in to your Apple ID in Messages) on your Mac(s)
    • Sign in to the Messages app on your iPhone (sign in to your Apple ID in Messages on your iPhone)
    • Then on the iPhone, for the first Mac, see if you get the hand shake with a confirmation code
    • If so, sign in on the other Mac(s) and see if it pops up as well…. Good so far? Proceed
    • If both work then log out of the Mac(s) test account(s) and back in to your main account(s)
    • Sign out of the iPhone and iMessage in both accounts. Main and Test accounts, Mac(s) and iPhone
    • Now, delete the entries in keychain in both user accounts, test and your normal user account(s)
    • Reboot the Mac(s) and iPhone…
    • Now, sign into the iPhone Messages account with your Apple ID
    • Lastly, sign into iMessage in Messages (sign in to your Apple ID in Messages) on your Mac(s)
You should be good to go :-)

  • IOS 8.1 Mesages/Text Message Forwarding - Duplicate Computer names

I just upgraded to iOS 8.1 on my iPhone 6.  On my IPhone, when enabling Text Message Forwarding to my devices I noticed that my Mac's (15" MacBook Pro 5.1 Late 2008 with Yosemite) computer name appeared there twice. As expected, only one of the two duplicate computer names was successfully activated (switched to green) for text message forwarding,
I had recently changed/edited the Computer Name of my Mac in System Preferences/Sharing panel.  The duplicate names that appear in Text Message Forwarding is the previous/old name and the existing name of my Mac described above.
Is there a way to delete the old name from appearing in Text Message Forwarding by changing something on my Mac, such as editing or deleting a plist?
Thanks in advance for any constructive assistance, comments or suggestions that can help me fix this.

    Problem solved!
I changed my iCloud password and the duplicate device names (ghost devices) disappeared from Settings/Messages/Text Message Forwarding on my iPhone.
I hope this helps somebody with a similar issue.

  • IOS 8.1 Text Message Forwarding lists same device twice

Background: iPhone 6 w/8.1, Retina MacBook Pro 15" w/Mavericks upgraded to Yosemite, iPad 2 w/8.1
I got a new MacBook Pro prior to the Yosemite release and upgraded it before migrating my data.  Set up iOS 8.1 and everything was working fine.  I decided to migrate my user account from my old MacBook Pro to the new one and after that, it is listed twice in the iPhone's Messages>Text Message Forwarding list.  How do I remove the duplicate one?  I only have one turned on.  I'm afraid if I turn both on I'll get duplicate messages.  Any ideas?  Thanks!

I'm having this same issue. I tried turning iMessage on and off on both my iPhone and my MacBook Pro, but that did not solve the issue. It still shows my MacBook Pro twice. I did try to enable text message forwarding on both, and I noticed I only received the code for one.

  • How to disable text message forwarding on Mac?

I never allowed text message forwarding on my iPhone, yet my mac and iPad still receives messages. How do I fix this problem if I do not want this feature on my mac and iPad?

    Hello Jivaraval,
After reviewing your post, I have located an article that can help with SMS relay:
    SMS
With Continuity, all the SMS and MMS text messages you send and receive on your iPhone also appear on your Mac, iPad, and iPod touch. Even if the person you’re communicating with doesn’t have an iPhone. And regardless of what phone they have, you can reply from whichever device is closest to you, including your iPad or Mac. You can also initiate a  conversation by clicking a phone number in Safari, Contacts, or Calendar.
Thank you for contributing to Apple Support Communities.
    Cheers,

  • Problem in message forwarding to SAP after office hours

    Dear All,
i have a problem in forwarding the message with the priority very high to SAP after office hours.
    can you please help me
    Thanks,
    Heba Hesham

    Hi,
to get the automatic message forward working outside your business hours you need to maintain so called "Business Partner Call Times". See the IMG activity under the following path:
    - solution manager
    - SAP partner-specific settings
    - service desk for service provider
    - general settings
    - maintain Business Partner Call Times
    Use
Another component of the VAR functionality is to forward messages created with priority "Very High", outside the business hours of a service provider, directly to SAP. To be able to use this function, you must maintain calling times for the business partners of ordering parties.
You can specify the availability time for all VAR customers.
    Activities
    1. Choose a business partner.
    2. Choose the Control tab.
    3. Choose Calling Times in Business Hours.
    4. Specify the weekly rule and days or hours.
    5. Save.
In addition, the action for autom. sending messages to SAP in SPPFCADM should be maintained (e.g. AI_SDK_SP_SEND_AUTO)
    Regards,
    Richard

My droid razor just recently started to not let me add pictures to messages. It says the pictures to large that it has to be resized, its always said that but then it would resize it and it would send. but now it is starting to say message size limit reached sorry, you cannot add this picture to your message i tryed to use old pictures in a message that ive previously been able to send and i get the same message. My pictures are set on widescreen 6MP right now and video resolution HD+ (1080p) i tryed changing these settings and it still doesnt work. i have pictures that are 1.2MP and they wont even send. it wont let me send a video or audio either only text. Please help!

        zjoy622011-
I definitely want to help restore the devices capability of sending photos! Has the device gone through any recent updates? Is this just picture messaging, or also photo sharing like Facebook, Instagram, etc? If you are using any third party texting apps, I recommend trying the built-in messaging app instead. Also, what city & state are you located in? I want to ensure there are no issues related to the network involved here.
    Keep me posted!
    Thanks,
