NetStream Error: NetConnection object must be connected
I have successfully connected to NetConnection using AMF0
format. I have verified by looking at the Connected property and
the admin console. However, when I create a new NetStream object
and pass a NetConnection object I get the error listed below...
ArgumentError: Error #2126: NetConnection object must be
connected.

What am I doing wrong? The Flash Administration page says
that I have one client connected. The NetConnectionObj.connected
property is true... Here is my basic code
var client_nc:NetConnection = new NetConnection();
client_nc.objectEncoding = flash.net.ObjectEncoding.AMF0;
client_nc.connect("rtmp:/FLEX");
if(client_nc.connected == true)
testBox.text += "\nConnected to rtmp:/FLEX!\n";
else
testBox.text += "Could NOT Connect to rtmp:/FLEX!\n";
//THIS IS
WHERE I GET THE ABOVE ERROR
var out_ns:NetStream = new NetStream(client_nc);
I am able to connect to the same application via flash and
stream video, but not through FLEX. The only difference is where
these folders are located...permissions issue???
I hope its something stupid that I am doing ... Please
help!!!

I made a CF/Flex site based on the Flexstore sample app,
using a database instead of XML as the data source; in case you
want to see it:
http://www.timos.com/dg/flex/DilemmaGames.html
At first I had troubles similar to what you describe;
initially, part of the problem was that my hosting company had not
yet upgraded to CF 7.02. One other thing I had to correct: when you
upload to your server, upload the entire ‘bin’ (or
whatever your output folder is) minus the debug SWF.
If it would help with other issues, contact me and I will be
glad to make my project code available to you. Good luck.

Upon upgrading iPhoto, iPhoto Help no longer works. It gives the error message: "The selected topic is currently unavailable. To see all iPhoto Help, you must be connected to the Internet." I am obviously connected to the internet since you are reading this.
I tried upgrading permissions but it did not help!? Can anyone tell me what is wrong? ThanksTry
Reboot the computer, see if that fixes it.
Then try:
Backup your files off the computer (not TimeMachine) and disconnect
Hold c boot off the 10.6 disk and simply reinstalling OS X
Log in and update to 10.6.8
c boot off the 10.6 disk again and use Disk Utility >Repair Disk
reboot and all should be fine, except some third party programs that install kext files, those will have to be reinstalled from fresh sources. -

Object Reference / Data Connection Error may be due to web.config
i am just a beginner in webpart and facing error in my webpart when connecting to database,
error is: object reference not set to an instance of an object.
troubleshooting tips is
check to determine if the object is null before calling the method
error occur on this line:
SqlDataAdapter dba = new SqlDataAdapter(QryString, ConfigurationManager.ConnectionStrings["QString"].ConnectionString);
where QString is reference to my web.config file which contains
<connectionStrings>
<add name="QString" connectionString="Data Source=(local)\SP2013;Initial Catalog=SPUserAuthWP;Integrated Security=True;" providerName="System.Data.SqlClient"/>
</connectionStrings>
As in webpart solution explorer, web.config not automaticaly add so i add it maunally.
kindly guide how to overcome this problemHello,
Just find "</SharePoint>" web.config and paste below tag just below of "</SharePoint>". You also need to pass userId, password and DB server name/IP in below connection string.
</SharePoint>
<connectionStrings>
<add connectionString="user id=username; password=password; Data Source=your DB server name;Initial Catalog=SPUserAuthWP" name="QString" />
</connectionStrings>
Then use below code:
string strcon = System.Configuration.ConfigurationManager.AppSettings["QString"];
using (SqlConnection con = new SqlConnection(strcon))
{//your code goes here}

This looks to be an error of the flash plugin. Could you check if affected PCs have a supported version of Flash or of the Browser, as documented at:

Transport connection, error in object editing, Specify a request
Hi,
I am trying to collect a cube with data flow before option, when i select all the objects and create a request and choose continue,
The pop-up prompt for workbench continues to appear,
If i press continue again, it returns message,
Error in object editing,
Specify a request
Message no. TK136
Diagnosis
You have selected a function without specifying a request.
System Response
The function terminates.
Procedure
First enter a request and then select a function.
To display all your requests, choose Own requests. You can also create a new request.
When i see the list of objects in the transport request all the objects
InfoCube
Communication structure
InfoPackage
InfoSource transaction data
Transfer structure
DataStore Object
Routine
Update rules
are collected except for transfer rules.
sometimes, when i choose continue it returns,
a new task will be added to the following request and i choose continue. All the objects are collected.
Normally, it should behave this way asking if a new task should be added. But, i am getting the above error.
Please suggest.
Raj.Yes, normally i should be able to select the request and continue without the error.
The transport size is not too big.
I listed the objects instead of hierarchy and selected individually by object type into the same request.
I was able to collect all the objects,
application
infoarea
infocube
infoobject
communication structure
3.x datasource
infopackage
transfer rules
3.x infosource
transfer structure
source system
datastore object
routine
update rules
in one request. I could not do it the normal way though.
Thanks for you help again.
I saw the note earlier. yes, it is not relevant to this issue.

Flex4 Zend AMF error - NetConnection.Call.Failed: HTTP
Hi,
I'm working with FLEX 4 (developing in flash builder 4 plugins for eclipse) and PHP Zend Framework v 1.9.
When I run the application from the flash builder the AMF comunication work fine, but when I try to run directly from URL in a browser I got the following error:
Send failed
Channel.Connect.Failed error NetConnection.Call.Failed: HTTP: Failed: url: 'http://localhost/Project-debug/gateway.php'
I think that I get this error since I have update my flash builder plugin.... previos version of my .swf project didn't give my this issue.
Somebody can help me? I don't realy have any idea how to solve this problem.
P.S.
I don't have services-config.xml file in my project cause the amf zend samples that I followed don't say to create it, somebody knows why flex 4 doesn't need it?
ThanksThe MessageBroker servlet is not installed properly. The context-root of the two Tomcat LC DS installs must be different. Test hitting the context-root Flex_App on both machines (http://hostIP:8080/Flex_App). If the context-root is valid you will hit the index.html page of the valid context-root which looks like this...

at java.lang.Thread.run(Thread.java:595)Looks like, I can create a Local interface instance of a Session bean, but cannot pass pass it to the other session beans or classes. If I try to do that, I am getting Exception is "Error marshalling objects, Not Serializable: java.io.NotSerializableException: DefaultSession_RemoteProxy_6nein01; nested exception is:
java.io.NotSerializableException: DefaultSession_RemoteProxy_6nein01".
I tried making my SessionBean class implements Serializable like this.
public class DefaultSessionBean implements SessionSynchronization, Serializable {...}
No luck, however.
According to http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/jdev/htdocs/10.1.3.0.3/readme.html
TopLink POJO's Must Implement java.io.Serializable When Returned From a Session Bean's Remote Interface (4902787)
When creating a session bean facade for TopLink POJO objects, you must implement java.io.Serializable for each of the TopLink POJO objects returned from the SessionBean facade through a remote interface. This is typically required when using ADF Swing, a EJB Sample Client, or when your EJB Session Bean resides on a separate application server from the client.
You can also tell you you need to implement java.io.Serializable when you get the following exception:
com.evermind.reflect.UndeclaredExceptionTypeException:
/oracle.oc4j.rmi.OracleRemoteException/
at __Proxy1.[Your Class Name Here] (Unknown Source)
The workaround is to manually edit each POJO object to implement java.io.Serializable. We plan to remove the need for this manual step in a future release.
Is this information some where related to my issue? Please help me. I am stucked since so many days because of this.

I have tried from so many forms. This is so frustrating. Thank for everyone/anyone who wants to help. So this is what happened: I had to uninstall my previous sqlserver 2012(which worked great) for some reason, and I uninstalled everything from that download.
Then I installed the trial edition of sql server 2012 (64 Bit) and It wouldn't connect to the database. (Error mentioned above.) My local DB is COWBOYS. (COWBOYS is also my computer name.) After this, I have tried downloading sqlexpress and sqlserver 64bit
many times and cannot connect to my local DB.
How do I connect to my Local DB?
Also, I think this might help: (When I run sqlserve.exe, which I was able to find in C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\110\LocalDB\Binn, I get an error: Your SQL server installation is either corrupt or has been tampered with(Error getting
instance ID from name). Please uninstall then re-run setup to correct this problem.
I would happily re install it, if it wasn't my 20th time.
I don't have any remote connections, I don't use username/password, only window authentication. I work mostly on visual studio, but without able to store /retrieve data, I don't know how to survive.
May be the solution is very simple, but I am too frustrated.
Some of the things I have tried:
From a command prompt, enter one of the following commands:
net start "SQL Server Agent (MSSQLSERVER)" OR
net start "SQL Server Agent(instancename)"(for instance)
on my sql configuration, I cannot start anything because there is nothing there to start. I can post more details, if that would help. Also, some more details about the error:

Any one that can help me, I will be greatful. Thank you so much. p.s. please ask me anything if you have any questions.It sounds like there are a couple things going on here. First check if you have a successful install of SQL Server, then we'll figure out the connection issues.
Can you launch SQL Server Configuration Manager and check for SQL Server (MSSQLSERVER) if default instance or SQL Server (other name) if you've configured your instance as a named instance. Once you find this, make sure the service is started.
If not started, try to start it and see if it throws an error. If you get an error, post the error message your hitting. If the service starts, you can then launch SSMS and try to connect. If you have a default instance, you can use the machine
name in the connection dialog. Ex: "COWBOYS" where Cowboys is the machine name. However, if you named the SQL Server instance during install, you'll need to connect using the machine\instance format. Ex: COWBOYS\Romo (where Romo
is the instance name you set during install).
You can also look at the summary.txt file in the SQL Server setup error logs to see what happened on the most recent install. Past install history is archived in the log folder if you need to dig those up to help troubleshoot, but the most
recent one may help get to the bottom of it if there is an issue with setup detecting a prior instance that needs to be repaired.

Hi Everyone,
I am getting an error message: An error occurred while trying to connect to a web service, when my InfoPath form tries to load. The last few days, it only spits this error message in the morning and around 12pm-1pm it resolves itself and the form loads
fine the rest of the day, oddly enough.
A few things about my form:
1). It is web enabled
2). The form submits to a form library on the SP server
3). I use the UserProfileService data connection in the form to auto-populate a few fields
4). I use a udcx file with correct language stored in the root of the site collection in the data connection library
5). The form has been working fine until a few days ago
I noticed while in Central Administration, that the User Profile Service Synchronization is Stopped. Not sure if this is causing some or all of the problem. If I need to start it I will need to contact my farm administrator to do this, since I do not
have the service account information.
Also, I looked thru the log files on the SharePoint server and found the following by searching for the Correlation ID shown when the error comes up, I won't put in everything just the important messages.
Schema file was already loaded: BuiltInActiveXControls.xsd
FormServer Partial Trust - Proxy operation invoked in the SHIM process.
FormServer Partial Trust - Invoking proxy operation for Web service adapter failed with exception Operation is not valid due to the current state of the object. for Url=https://<SP URL>/_vti_bin/UserProfileService.asmx
Data adapter failed during OnLoad: The custom code in the form cannot be run. This functionality may be deactivated on the server. For more information, contact the server farm administrator.
The following query failed: GetUserProfileByName (User: , Form Name: Expense Report, IP: , Connection Target: <SP URL>/Data Connections/GetUserProfileByName.udcx, Request: , Form ID: urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:infopath:Expense-Report:-myXSD-2014-04-11T21-06-32
Type: DataAdapterException, Exception Message: The custom code in the form cannot be run. This functionality may be deactivated on the server.Hi B.,
You are on the right track. I recommend that you first get the User Profile Synchronization Service started because that itself could be the root cause of the issue.
If that doesn't fix it then focus your attention on the GetUserprofileByName data connection. I always use my secure store ID for this connection. I add the ID by editing the udcx file and then publishing it again.
Hope this helps.

Hi,
I have been trying to get a very simple WebJob developed and deployed onto Azure with little to no luck. I have a MVC Website which has a common project which handles my Data Access Layer with Entity Framework. I have created a WebJob project
using Visual Studio and added the following lines of code to the Manual Trigger Function
[NoAutomaticTrigger]
public static void ManualTrigger(TextWriter log, int value, [Queue("queue")] out string message)
RitualDBEntities db = new RitualDBEntities();
log.WriteLine("Function is invoked with value={0}", value);
List<Location> locations = db.Locations.ToList();
string msg = string.Empty;
foreach (Location location in locations)
msg += location.Name;
message = msg;
log.WriteLine("Following message will be written on the Queue={0}", message);
In my app.config of my WebJob i have the following connection strings:
<add name="RitualDBEntities" connectionString="metadata=res://*/RitualDBEntities.csdl|res://*/RitualDBEntities.ssdl|res://*/RitualDBEntities.msl;provider=System.Data.SqlClient;provider connection string="data source=ritual-pc\sqlexpress;initial catalog=RitualDB;integrated security=True;persist security info=False;MultipleActiveResultSets=True;App=EntityFramework"" providerName="System.Data.EntityClient" />
<add name="RitualContext" connectionString="Integrated Security=SSPI;Persist Security Info=False;Initial Catalog=RitualDB;Data Source=ritual-pc\sqlexpress" providerName="System.Data.SqlClient" />
<add name="AzureWebJobsDashboard" connectionString="DefaultEndpointsProtocol=https;AccountName=ritual***;AccountKey=tQAP0gyMYKtWPJeIbsqk2iT2k69gyd1FwcyRf3+5Mc9b9EdYzpj0Dq8X2VHUmF*****"/>
<add name="AzureWebJobsStorage" connectionString="DefaultEndpointsProtocol=https;AccountName=ritual***;AccountKey=tQAP0gyMYKtWPJeIbsqk2iT2k69gyd1FwcyRf3+5Mc9b9EdYzpj0Dq8X2VHUmF*****" />
When i test locally (F5 Debugging) the webjob runs successfully and does the loop of the objects returned from the database. When i deploy this Azure the WebJob fails with the following error:

If i remove any of my database code and use just the basic Stub code my webjob will run successfully so i know that my connection strings (outside of the DB ones) are correct. My MVC web application also runs perfectly using the same connection strings
in Azure so i also know that they have also been configured.
I am now lost and need some guidance, so if someone is able to assist me that would be much appreciated.
Thanks
Ritual.Can you try to log the connection string you are using in both cases to make sure they are the same?
Also can you share your site name, either directly or indirectly?
This will help us investigate.
Thanks,

Dear all,
I know that this topic may be a bit old school; but it really make me mad as I tried all solutions i found and it still cant be resolved....please give a hand...
The situation is like this,my company divided different platform as a status of project, like DEV, SIT and UAT. I got a project that require me to upgrade an vs2003 project to vs2005. I upgraded it completely and
successfully, it works fine in development and UAT platform; EXCEPT, the SIT platform.
The situation is very strange that, once I move the source to SIT, it return the following error:
A network-related or instance-specific error occurred while establishing a connection to SQL Server. The server was not found or was not accessible. Verify that the instance name is correct and that SQL Server is configured to allow remote connections.
(provider: SQL Network Interfaces, error: 26 - Error Locating Server/Instance Specified)
but it never happen in either DEV or UAT platform and even do I copy the workable web.config from DEV or UAT platform to SIT, the error still here and unable to resolve it.
I search a lot in the internet by Google, but solution suggested are not suitable or fail in my case. Most answer suggest that "enable remote control", "check fire wall", "check server" etc......But as I can connect well the
DBServer in DEV and UAT properly, I dont think those are the cause(but still, I check them all, and all are enabled properly, except my firewall setting is OFF, so adding port is ignored).
After all the searching and testing, I believed and have reason to believe that, the cause is inside my web.config:
<appSettings>
<!-- User application and configured property settings go here.-->
<!-- Example: <add key="settingName" value="settingValue"/> -->
<clear/>
<add key="Environment" value="UAT v1.31"/>
<add key="DBServer" value="DB_UAT"/>
<add key="cnBPSS.ConnectionString" value="data source=DB_UAT\BPSS;persist security info=True;user id=theloginid;workstation id=RP_UAT;packet size=4096;pwd=theloginpwd"/>
<add key="UTBPSSConn.ConnectionString" value="data source=DB_UAT\BPSS;persist security info=False;user id=theloginid;workstation id=RP_UAT;packet size=4096;pwd=theloginpwd"/>
<add key="UTDSBDBConn.ConnectionString" value="workstation id=RP_UAT;packet size=4096;user id=theloginid;data source=DB_UAT\DSBDB;persist security info=False;password=theloginpwd"/>
<add key="cnDSBDB.ConnectionString" value="workstation id=RP_UAT;packet size=4096;user id=theloginid;data source=DB_UAT\DSBDB;persist security info=False;password=theloginpwd"/>
<add key="Timer1.Enabled" value="True"/>
<add key="Timer1.AutoReset" value="True"/>
<add key="cnbpss.ConnectionString" value="data source=DB_UAT\BPSS;password=theloginpwd;persist security info=True;user id=theloginid;workstation id=RP_UAT;packet size=4096"/>
<add key="cnbpss1.ConnectionString" value="data source=DB_UAT\BPSS;password=theloginpwd;persist security info=True;user id=theloginid;workstation id=RP_UAT;packet size=4096"/>
</appSettings>
</configuration>
I know such kind of setting is old school; But due to this program runs for few years from tons of ppl...I dont dare to modify it unless I am very sure they are the cause.....
May I ask if anyone cna give me some advice and help in this issue please? I already tried for weeks and turning mad....Please I really need some help...
Many thanks.
