Netui:radioButton - default value

I am using a netui:radioButtonGroup with 2 options -
option a and option b.
The user selects an option and it gets saved to the database. When the user comes back, I want to have his saved option automatically selected using the defaultValue. However, it is not getting selected. Any ideas?
Thanks
Kunal

Set the property of the field in the form bean at the class level and in the radio button it will be defaulted to "A".
form bean:
private String radioOption = "A";
public void setRadioOption(String aRadioOption) {
               this.radioOption = aRadioOption;
          public String getRadioOption() {
               return this.radioOption;
jsp:
<netui:radioButtonGroup dataSource="{actionForm.radioOption}">
     <netui:radioButtonOption value="A">A</netui:radioButtonOption>
     <netui:radioButtonOption value="B">B</netui:radioButtonOption>
     </netui:radioButtonGroup>

  • Netui:select default value on top instead of bottom

    Is there anyway that I can change the netui:select tag to show the default value

    Kunal--
    If you are binding to a data set (a LinkedHashMap, for example), you can insert the default value
    into the data set in code in the JPF before binding to the select box, but it's not configurable
    when simply setting the defaultValue attribute.
    Apologies for the limitation.

  • Netui:select default value at the top

    I am using netui:select with following syntax:
    <netui:select defaultValue="--Select--" dataSource="{actionForm.contactType}"
    optionsDataSource="{pageFlow.contactTypes}" styleClass="app-commomForm"> </netui:select>
    The problem is "--Select--" is shown at the bottom of the drop down. What do I
    do to show at the top of the list?

    Maybe you can use the default value attribute, that way the user will always see the select selected...
    or maybe try using a string array and place select at the start of the array...

  • Netui:textbox default value

    Hi,
    I am trying to use the following code as per the sample given in the help doc. But everything is working fine except the defaultValue attribute. I want to dynamically create 5 textboxes with defaultValue and use form bean while submitting the same. The code is as follows,
    <netui-data:repeater dataSource="{actionForm.test}">
    <netui:textBox defaultValue="123" dataSource="{actionForm.test}" />
    </netui-data:repeater>
    Here test is the array in the form. Instead of default value, I am getting the array reference value as the default value like [Ljava.lang.String;@18d551d is displayed. Anyone could help me out.
    Please Reply immediately.

    hi,
    I just used {container.item} as datasource and solved
    the error. Anyway thanks for ur response.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Bala.I had a similar problem and this fixed it, thanks.
    But, now I have a different problem.
    If I initialize the array in my form and then display the jsp, the array is displayed with individual textboxes as desired.
    But, when I submit the form I get an index out of bounds exception.
    I'm assuming that it is trying to set the submitted values back into the array which has been reset to a zero length array, and this is causing the exception.
    The workshop automatically put this code in my Form when I added the array member (myList):
    public String[] getMyList()
    // For data binding to be able to post data back, complex types and
    // arrays must be initialized to be non-null.
    if(this.myList== null || this.myList.length == 0)
    this.myList= new String[1];
    return this.myList;
    The getMyList() method appears to be called for every textbox that gets submitted (each array element).
    How do I know how many elements to make my array in getMyList() since the length could vary?

  • Radiobutton Default value from table

    I have a table with a column of values Y or N.
    I've created a tabular form with two radiobuttons
    in a row ie.
    htmldb_item.radiogroup(2,'Yes',null||'Y','Yes')||' '||htmldb_item.radiogroup(2,'No','N','No') "DS",
    etc.
    It seems to be working fine but my question is
    how can I decode whatever value is in the table to
    be checked as default on the radiogroup.Ie if a
    value of Y is in the table then that particular
    radiogroup should be set to YES.
    Thank you

    Never mind I allready figured that out

  • Changing of default values on the selection screen dynamically

    Hi,
          I have 2 radiobuttons R_A & R_B and i have one text field like P_TEXT. Based on selection of radio button i have to change the default values in P_TEXT on the selection screen. like if i select R_A i have to display P_TEXT = 'A'. if i select R_B then it has to display P_TEXT = 'B'. I tried like as below
    in AT SELECTION-SCREEN OUPUT EVENT.
                 IF R_A = 'X'
                   P_TEXT = 'A'.
                 ELSEIF R_B= 'B'.
                   P_TEXT = 'B'.
                 ENDIF.
            But it's not working. it is working only for first radio button. when i select second radio button it is not giving the second value. can any one tell the sol.
    Tks in advance.

    Hi Pammi,
    Use this code, its working:-
    PARAMETERS : r_a RADIOBUTTON GROUP gp1 DEFAULT 'X' USER-COMMAND rb,
                 r_b RADIOBUTTON GROUP gp1,
                 p_text(20).
    "we use user command with the radiobutton so that some event is occured in order to call AT SELECTION-SCREEN OUTPUT.
    AT SELECTION-SCREEN OUTPUT.
      IF r_a = 'X'.
        p_text = 'Hello'.
      ELSEIF r_b = 'X'.
        p_text = 'Hi'.
      ENDIF.
    In the above case 'AT SELECTION-SCREEN OUTPUT' will act as PBO of the selection screen and will change value of selection text as per condition.
    Hope this solves your problem.

  • Saving default values for checkboxes

    Hi all,
    one of our customers has recently upgraded ´their NW7.00 (SAP ECC 6.0) system to basis SP18. As a result of this, it is no longer possible for users to save default values, in Web Dynpro ABAP applications, neither for checkboxes nor for radiobuttons.
    This worked fine before the application of the support package. The user could simply right click the UI element and select "Use current value sas default" from the context menu, as is still the case for all other input-enabled UI elements.
    This option is simply no longer available in the context menu for checkboxes & radiobuttons.
    I have had a look through the OSS notes in the SP and also the "Side-Effects" report, but can't find anything to indicate that this has been done deliberately by SAP.
    Before I raise this as a question to SAP, does anbody out there have any more information on this issue. Is it a bug or a feature?
    Thanks,
    Mike Speight

    Hi Mike Speightl,
    You can save the default values in the Webdynpro by using the Method (WD_DO_INT).
    For exp :
    If Emp is your Node name.
    ID and Name are your attributes in which you wish to put default values after execution:
    lo_el_emp->set_attribute( exporting name = 'ID' value = '1001' ).
    lo_el_emp->set_attribute( exporting name = 'NAME' value = 'SAP' ).
    When you execute your application, it will display default values in ID : 1001
                                                                                    Name : SAP
    Just before loading any view, this method will be executed :  WD_DO_INT
    If you are referring to default chkbox selected after executing then refer to the concept   Initialize lead selection
    If this is not the issue then please let me know.

    Hi anandkumar,
    I belive this issue can be resolved by changing the  Query proprties for the perticular field.
    Kindly check the Field proerties in query designer and ensure that Text is enabled ather than Key.
    __Field property check up:__Go to query designer->click onn the field-> Right hand side in properties click on display tab-> select Text in drop down menu of Display as tab.
    FURTHER CHECK UP: check the master data avaiulability for the perticular info object, if masterdata is not available, do the text data for txt data availability in report level.
    Hope this helps you!!

  • Assigning a default value to a field

    Hello Everyone,
           Could you please tell me how to assign a default value to a field in a transparent table, so that while creating an entry even if we don't enter the value, a default value will be assigned.
    Thanks,
    Anbu.

    Like this
    DATA: BEGIN OF itab OCCURS 0,
            field1 TYPE c VALUE 'X'
            field2 TYPE c,
          END OF itab.
    append itab.
    append itab.
    You will have by default X set in both rows for field1.
    Regards
    Marcin
    PS: Ooops I just noticed you meant transparent table but I wrote about internal one. As long as you maintain that table using maintenance view you can use event 05 - When Creating a New Entry and set fixed value for a field there. So whenever you create new entry it will receive that value.

  • SQLLDR - how to set a default value for an empty string

    I'm using SQLLDR to load data from a flat file on Oracle 10g 10.2.0.4 EE, Linux RHEL 4 update 6. Seems like my question is simple, but darned if I can't find the solution.
    My source file (comma delimited extracted form a different RDBMS) has some (not all) rows where the output for a string is "", and not NULL. How do I check for empty string and add a default value in the control file? The target column is non-nullable
    Here's my current control file - however, the column attributeName where sometimes the source record is "" does not get evaluated as NULL.

    Expecting "," or ")", found ", 'none')".
    attributeName "decode(:vc_attributeName,"", 'none')", {code}
    This does not work either:

  • Multiple Default Values in a Multi-Select LOV Parameter?

    Hi,
    I have a report in BI Publisher standalone version 10.1.3.4. The report has a list of values called org_lov. This lov is attached to a multi-selection p_org_code parameter from which it is desirable to also have multiple default values.
    For example, if org_lov has the following values:
    100
    101
    102
    103
    104
    105
    106
    I would like to have 3 default values and have 100, 101,105 as the defaults if the user doesn't specifically select anything from the LOV. So far my testing has only allowed a single default value.
    Here are my settings:
    Data type = string
    Multiple Selection = checked
    Can select All = checked (all values passed)
    On the Default Value field, I have tried the following:
    1. 100, 101,105
    2. [100, 101,105]
    3. '100', '101','105'
    4. (100, 101,105)
    5. ['100', '101','105']
    6. ('100', '101','105')
    I don't need these default values highlighted in the LOV, I just need it passed correctly to the query (a data template).
    Thank you in advance for any input.

    Hi,
    Sorry for the delayed reply. I tried what you suggested but the problem is that by having the "Multiple Selection" property of the parameter unchecked, the result is that it allows the user to only have a single value passed. The user wants the option to select multiple values AND also have the multiple default values.
    Thanks anyway.

  • Default value of BeX customer Exit variable not Displayed in WeBI??

    Hello Experts,
    We are stuck with a problem where WeBI report is created on top of BeX query and we are not able to see the default value of Bex Customer exit variable in WeBI run. Here is the complete scenario:
    1. One restricted KF is created in BeX, restricted with Customer exit variable on net Due date. And this variable is mandatory, ready for input, and Default value in calculated is user exit as current Week's Monday.
    2. So, by default KF data should be restricted to Monday of current week, if user does not change this value.
    3. Now, WeBI report is created on top of this Bex query, and all is working fine, i.e. we are getting variable as Prompt in WeBI, but Default value is not shown while Running the Webi Report.
    So, need your inputs on the same, if default values from BeX in WeBI is supported or not? If yes, why this is happening, and how to resolve it?
    Please notice, the restrcition is in KF only, it is not a separate restrcition on Net Due date in Filter area or in Defualt area of BeX
    and we are on SAP BW 7.1 and BOXI 3.1 SP4.

    Hi,
    See 1285993 - Support of Customer Exit Variables from BEx query into WebIntelligence via OLAP universe
    WebI will prompt when executed, but the default values calculated by the user exit  - do not appear.
    Note: If the BEx variable has property 'ready for input' set / enabled, then its WebI prompt shows ok, but no default value appears.
    Cause
    This behaviour expected 'by design' (in the context of the product's current limitations) as explained in the online guide below:
    Please refer to Chapter 7, page 44, document link here: http://help.sap.com/businessobject/product_guides/boexir3/en/xi3_sap_olap_universes_en.pdf
    Characteristic variable > processing type > Customer Exit  is "Supported, without user entry"
    -->  This should be understood as meaning "User will not be shown a prompt"

  • Why the default value is not the Oracle recommended?

    Why the default value is not the Oracle recommended?
    In Oracle 10g, the default alocated unit of Oracle ASM is 1MB. But the Oracle ducumentation states that "To ensure a higher probability of one
    logical I/O resulting in no more than one physical I/O, the minimum stripe depth should be at least twice the Oracle block size". ---See Performance Tuniing Guide (10g10.2 Page8-3.

    The default database blocksize of 10g is 8k.
    >
    8 * 128 = 1024
    128 >= 2
    At least twice the size does not mean exactly the doubled size.
    There is no contradiction between the documentation and your observation in this case.
    Kind regards
