Netweaver 7.3 Install + ADS = Not Installed?

Hello everyone....
Just thought I would see if anyone has come across this issue.
We just did a Java only install of Netweaver 7.3, selected ADS as a usage type during install (or I think it gets selected by default). Now post install, when we access via http://<hostname>:54000/sld/fun it is stating that Adobe Document Services are "not installed".
I haven't found any other specific documents on a standalone install, or what we may have missed during this install/configuration.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks a lot.

Goto --> http://<hostname>:5<nr>00/monitoring/SystemInfo location and check under software componets ADSSAP is existed or not. If it is existed then ADS is installed as default.
If you want to test the ADS fucntionality need to configure few steps in VA if its NW7.3 then NWA

I need to identify SAP component version in ABAP code. for that I am retrieving status of the system fr0m CVERS_TXT table.
but for identifying PI system it is returning u2018SAP Netweaveru2019 which is not valid because if it only Netweaver without PI installed then also it will consider SAP system as PI.
So need to figure out exact table or transaction from where i can get this information.
I need to differentiate the pure SAP netweaver system and SAP netweaver with PI.
Please guide on the same.

Thanks for your response.
I checked SXMB_ADMIN transaction and on PI system it is showing role of busniess system as 'Integration server'. I checked the same on other system without PI it is showing role of busniess system as 'Not yet configured'.
So I want to just check what will be role of busniess system when PI is installed but basic configuration is not yet done.

Yes you can install java engine.Run sapinst from installation master cd and select only java engine installation.There will be check boxes abd you have to choose java engine.Also check the nwo4s installation guide.It will guide you throughly.Keep in mind to use correct jdk required for your kind of installatiom.

In portal goto>sysconfig>support-->u can find the Version in the content area at the bottom.
There u find the SAP WAS version and EP version.
in NWDS
goto help---->About sap NWDS -->then popup will disply you find the version.

[Solve]Compile Ada code with integer_IO ,error integer.ads not found.

Hello all again.
I do some programming in Ada and i am very fascinated this language.
I got problem when using integer_IO in my code.
When it compiling I got strange error integer.ads not found.
BTW.My compiler is GNAT 4.4.1.

SAP Netweaver 7.0 instalation error

When I install SAP Netweaver 7.0 I get an error like below during instalation,
Error says;
An error occurred while processing option SAP NetWeaver 7.0 including Enhancement Package 3 > SAP Application Server ABAP > MaxDB > Central System > Central System( Last error reported by the step: Error during execution of command identifier 'PARAM_INIT' : : [3472] 17:41:46 ***Warning: Loadavg: Could not add processor time performance counter to query. ). You can now:
Choose Retry to repeat the current step.
Choose Log Files to get more information about the error.
Stop the option and continue with it later.
Log files are written to C:/Program Files/sapinst_instdir/NW703/AS-ABAP/ADA/CENTRAL.
Is anybody have an idea about that error? What can be a problem?

Check your DB is running, then check value of PARAM_INIT, it should be set to OLTP (Default)

if you see in a ECC6, you will find no of addon components like EA-* extension sets, SAP_APPL components .. they are ECC functionality. SAP_ABA, SAP_BASIS, SAP_BW are the part of WebApplication Server which provides the runtime environment..
But if you see in a BW system, which is also based on netweaver, you will find SAP_ABA, SAP_BASIS, SAP_BW which are the application components of netweaver. it wont have SAP_APPL as BW system doesn't have the functionality of ECC. simple!

no. You need a different installer for that.
If you have access to offcial Netweaver DVDs - ther is an SQL Server version.

ADS not Working?

Dear Firends we have sucessfully installed and configured ADS, also we have performed the config test on the portal using wsnavigator webservice it is success and ran a report test on corresponding r/3 too the verion number is displayed in both the test.
Hence sucess!! Adobe License is alos applied in VA.
But when we make a custom application in NWDS IDE using an Interactive Pdf form and deploy it there is an error saying ...

Please check your ADS password if it has expired. Also I hope u have applied the Adobe License Credentials.
Also what is the ADS version you are using. Look at SAP Note No. 1072218 for more details.

I didn't know where else to post this, since there's no link to contact the webmaster, so I'm posting it here... This webpage: http://www.apple.com/getamac/ads/ does not display properly in Firefox 3.0.1 on Windows XP

I have ABP running on FF 3.0.1 and it doesn't block anything on that page. I don't have a filter set up for it. When I put my cursor on the ABP icon it says "0 blocked out of 96"
Perhaps the O.P. might try re-installing Firefox?

IE9 - ads not related to web site

Hello,
We have weird problems with a Windows 7 SP1 Enterprise machine. Installed is IE9 and latest Java application.
If the user browse to a newspaper page suddenly some ads in a frame are displayed with girls wearing less clothes (not porn). Certainly those ads are not belonging to the page. The ads don't show up on another machine for the same webpage.
The ads even displays when I log on with a different user on the same machine. It looks like the ads are using JavaScript. The ads are not displaying all the time when the user browse to the website. It happens randomly.
Any idea how this happens and how it can be fixed? Upgrading to a newer version of IE is not an option at this time.

Flash based ads not appearing in Firefox and windows 8

My readers reported that my bloger based website WW.NEWSPADHO.COM that is adsense approved is not showing flash related ads on firefox and also on windows 8. Is there any solution for it. Should we customize the type of ads showing on our blog or any other solution ? In Firefox it may be due to missing plugins and what about windows 8. Because with increase in number of windows 8 users, our adsense ad views are decreasing. Plz help.

Netweaver Developer Subscription digital license not recognized

I obtained from SMP and installed a permanent license for my Netweaver SR3 system. It shows up in the "New Licenses" table of the SLICENSE screen as "valid" and with an expiration date of next September. Yet the system is not recognizing it and will not fully start up. Only the SAP* user can log on. I have tried deleting it and requesting another one from SMP but it made no difference. The command line utility "saplicense" also can not find the new license.The license check was working fine earlier under the temporary license which showed up in SLICENSE under "Old Licenses". Do I need to do something different to tell the system to look for a new digital license instead? Is there a way to get a trace showing exactly why the license check is failing? Any help would be appreciated,

Logon not possible(error in license check)
If no one suggest anything better, open OSS message with SAP.

I have been requesting help for this for the past HOUR. Firefox is placing ads on my screen at start-up (and they remain there) to get firefox on Android (I don't have a cell phone that uses it), and to go to the firefox site with information on how to use..........I have used firefox for years.........don't need this, and when I go there since it seems to be forced on me, read what is new, and try to close out...........it is back again when I open firefox again. If I keep getting ads from firefox, I will change to another browser!

Firefox 4+ versions use a new build-in home page named <b>about:home</b> with a Google search bar on it (no internet access needed to load that page).<br />
That about:home page only shows some snippets and has a button to restore the previous session if applicable.
If you want a home page without the Restore Previous Session button and the snippets then set another page as the home page like www.google.com used in Firefox 3 versions.
You may be seeing a similar ad on the Google site to install Google Chrome.<br />
In that case use the close X on that ad to close that pop-up and it should stay away unless local storage gets cleared.
