I have downloaded the Developer Studio and Netweaver Composition Environment 7.1 trial version from SDN and have successfully installed the Server. May I ask is there any Installation and Configuration Guide for the Developer Studio

Where can I get this document.
I found many references but no link :(

There is no document titled "InDesign Server Installation and Configuration Guide". This was an error in the CS2 version of Introduction to InDesign Server.
You'll find the CS2 version of Introduction to InDesign Server in the InDesign Server CS2 ESD (the server download bundle). Even better you'll find the CS3 version in the InDesign CS3 Server SDK. Available at the following URL:
http://www.adobe.com/devnet/indesign/
The information about Java/CORBA is specific to CS3, but the information about scripting and SOAP applies to CS2.

What is BDI or BDS spelled out? Jabber for Mac 9.2(1) Installation and Configuration Guide

I’m spending the day catching up on Jabber/IM&P release notes across the server/clients.
So I’m used to EDI and UDS, but we have a new acronym in the Jabber for Mac 9.2(1) Installation and Configuration Guide called BDI and BDS. However they don’t define what BDI stands for other than BDI is LDAP for non-windows
Clients and suggests it should be used for Jabber for Mac.
What is BDI or BDS spelled out? Something directory integration, but what is the B ?
Then to add to the mix they reference BDS which sounds like the old UDS (is UDS changing to BDS?)
How can Jabber get any more confusing…
I also noted in the Jabber Video for iPad 9.3.4 release notes that Apple is removing the Always Connect option in the near future. Basic Directory Integration. It's not new, we had it in the Windows clients as far back as CUPC. The distinction got introduced when EDI was introduced, relying on Windows ADSI APIs instead of the client making a native LDAP bind.
To my knowledge BDI/BDS are the same thing; I'm guessing S is 'service'. UDS remains unchanged.
I also noted in the Jabber Video for iPad 9.3.4 release notes that Apple is removing the Always Connect option in the near future.
Well, they lost a patent infringement lawsuit and chose to change the functionality instead of pay the troll. That's not Jabber's fault. Collaboration Edge will be the way to avoid this in the near future.

I am installing developer studio with Sql server along with java engine. But during the installation after giving the path of the JDK and JCE policy following installation occurs.

I am currently on WAS 6.4 and ECC 5.0 . I want to install the NWDS on my local machine . Please advise which version of NWDS i should install and also the compatible JDK version .
Is NWDS 6.4 with SP 11 and JDK 1.4 is OK ?

Now i plan to create a java proxy.
but when i install NWDS 7.1, the error show like this:

Is SAP NetWeaver Developer Studio 2004s supported on Linux? It appears you can get a trail version of SAP NetWeaver Developer Workplace 2004s for Linux but there are no installation guides (SAP NetWeaver Developer Workplace nor SAP NetWeaver Developer Studio) to be found anywhere.

Error while installing the EHP 1 for SAP NetWeaver Developer Studio (NWDS)

Dear All,
I am trying to install the EHP 1 for SAP NetWeaver Developer Studio (NWDS) 7.1 .It got installed once but when i was trying to deploy the application i was getting an error sayind that we need to have JDK1.5 Update 14 or higher for the installation.
Now i have JDK 1.5.0_14 installed in my system.So i Uninstalled the EHP 1 for SAP NetWeaver Developer Studio (NWDS) and i am trying to reinstall it but i am getting the following error
ERROR:
Unable to complete action for feature "SAP NetWeaver Developer Studio Facades" due to errors.
Execution failed! Commmand: "msiexec.exe /norestart /qb /i librfc32.msi /lvx C:\DOCUME1\NS46249\Local Settings\Temp\com.sap.netweaver.developerstudio.facades_librfc32.msi_install_standard.log ALLUSERS=2 REBOOT=ReallySuppress". Dear Nishita,
I hope you have removed the older version of jdk before installing the new version of jdk. Also after un installation of NWDS, did you delete all the temp files and also the directories created during the original installation of NWDS. Also did you restart your system after the uninstallation of NWDS EHP1 and older jdk before reinstallation of the two softwares?

P.S. The first thing you can try is restarting the PC and try resuming the installation, if it doesnt succeed, please remove all traces of NWDS and JDK, restart pc and then resinstall both of them.

You will need a Markeplace id to access the downloads section as mentioned by Arafat.
Ask your Basis guy to create one for you and then goto following path to download the NWDS:-
