Can I install patches from SAP site?

Dear Friends,
I understand that i need some patches are required for my frountend GUI 6.2 for Business Explore and WAD. Somehow the basis support is not good over here.
1) Is there any place, or better way of searching and how to install them on my PC.. I have got my own OSS id, will this be sufficient?
2) Some training software for new Netweavers 2004s BI are available? is this true if so how to download them?

Hi Hari,
Yes. You can download and install the frontend patches. The one thing you need to be careful is that any query you open with the latest patch would not open on any PC with lower patch level.
You can download the patch using your OSS account. The link is:

Hi Experts,
What are the differnt levels we have in BI Certification.?
Which one is the highest level and what is the corresoponding Test?
And finally which is considered high in teh market?

Hi,
You can go for the certification in diffent versions of BW.
The latest version is BI 7.0 ( SAP Netweavers Business Intelligence 2004s).This is the highest level of certification in BW now.
You can also take certifications in prior versions like BE 3.5 or BW 3.0b

5.data has to be replicated from sap isu to crm or sap isu to ecc then ecc to crm
6.can there be business structure of any type without any sap ecc & only sap isu is used

sales order can be done either in ISU or in CRM(First thing u need to understand is ECC contains all Industry specific componets, what ever the component required for client we will be activating, as utility is also one in that.
when we say ISU u need to understand that R3 also available by default if that is ECC6.0 and ISU is not a different server.)

if u dont have ECC where will u have ISU, then there is no meaning of creating a order in ISU

In ECC without activating ISU we can not perform any utility Functionality, Until U activate with IS utility component.

CCS in ECC has got limited functionalities , and CRM web client has got Full fledged functionality
And Winclient is No more with CRM
And the same u got with ECC which u r calling as CCS

And replication of data is needed to respond with real values to the customer in responding @customer Interaction center.

C folder basic doubt

Hello Sap experts,
I am first time working on c folders in my implementation project. I have referred to lot of documents about the purpose of c folders use and other things. But i was not much clear on the same and below are my basic questions,
1) We have here only SAP ECC 6.0 ERP not solution source or netweavers. But we have DMS with KPRO (content server) Can we still go ahead with cfolders.
2) If yes to above question please let me know what are the basic configs i need to do?
3) With reference to answers to above questions, do we need to do settings in SICF activating CF and KW. Will this be enough and will the link work to open externally on internet with SAP log in?
4) Do we need to activate or download anything in specific from market space?

Connect two systems (CTS) after independent upgrade

Hello
I've installed two Netweavers with the same types and component.
After that
1) I configured a transport route between the two system.
2) I imported 100s of notes in the first NW
3) I transported the notes in the 2nd NW
Then I updated the two systems INDEPENDENTLY (in parallel):
1st NW: SPAM, SAINT, SPAM
2nd NW. SAINT, SPAM
At the end both systems have exactly the same Support Packages.
Question: What should I check now to be sure that, if in the future a transport changes from the 1st NW to the 2nd, ther will be no trouble?

If the configuration/versions (OS, DB and SAP version along with SPS) of both the systems is same then you need not worry.

Program Error in accessing RSA1

Hi!
I just finished installing SAP NetweaverS for BI7 system with SP level 9 on these components:
ABAP, Basis, PI_Basis, BW and SP Level 2 for components ST-PI and BI_Cont.
After Supp pack update, I run tcode RSA1 to access BW Workbench but
unfortunately I get this error:
Syntax error in program "SAPLRSAC ".
What happened?
Error in the ABAP Application Program
The current ABAP program "SAPLRSAS" had to be terminated because it has
come across a statement that unfortunately cannot be executed.
The following syntax error occurred in program "SAPLRSAC " in include
"CL_RSBC_FILTER================CU " in
line 94:
"Method "IF_RSBK_TPL_OPTIONAL~MERGE_VERSION" is not declared or inherit"
"ed in class "CL_RSBC_FILTER" - - - - - - - - - - -"
The include has been created and last changed by:

The Error is rather too many to be placed here so if you need the complete log kindly give me where I could sent the whole data.

Evolution of SAP Netweaver

Hi All,
I am new to this SAP Netweaver platform.I have come from Java background and currently engaged in SAP EP.To me SAP is an ERP system consisting huge number modules.SAP can be run in simple client server mode.Like I have a client installed in my system for a specific module which communicates to an SAP server.This can also be resolved by making the client browser compliant.Now I think earlier version of SAP worked like this.Now please enlighten me what SAP Netweaver provides.How has SAP Netweaver evolved from its predecessor ? When does a company opt for implementing SAP Netweaver?
Though this seems to be very basic question but still i am not able to get any document that can help beginners like me. Please also try to provide documents or urls that can resolve my question.

Wrong ! SAP is a software company which sells many different application softwares. SAP ERP is one of them like CRM, SRM, PI, EP and so on.
Netweaver is a technology platform on which the application softwares run.
In fact there are 2 different Netweavers : The ABAP Netweaver Application Server and the J2EE Netweaver Application Server which are also called the ABAP stack and the Java stack.
Some application softwares need only one stack (ECC6 needs the abap stack, EP needs the Java stack), some needs both stacks like PI.

Questions concerning the use of Adobe Interactive Forms

Hi All,
I have two questions that I would to see if I could get an answer to.
1) Has or can one use an Adobe Interactive form on a Tablet PC to allow a user to draw, say a small diagram or map, and have that image then stored in an R/3 database?
2) I may already know the answer to this, but want to verify it anyway. Can Adobe Interactive forms be used to provide data to other applications outside of SAP using NetWeavers J2EE or .Net API?

1) As far as I know (and can see in Adobe Designer opened at my PC right now) there are no standard controls
in the library that can be used to add drawing (ink) area to the form. Maybe external are available, but unlikely.
Even more, googling shoes that Adobe itself is not eager to support ink in their Acrobat products... Pity but so.
So my answer for the first question is "NO".
2) That depends on what you mean on "providing data to other applications outside of SAP using NetWeaver J2EE and .NET".
If you are using NetWeaver J2EE than you are still using SAP.
If you want to install SAP's ADS server on J2EE server from another vendor, than it is not a good idea:
First - it should be merely legal to use SAP software like this.
Second - Adobe's standalone forms solution (Link: [Adobe LiveCycle Forms ES|http://www.adobe.com/products/livecycle/]) should be cheaper.
On the other hand, if you create a simple form in LifeCycle Designer not inside SAP, but launched standalone and
set this form to send data to let's say XML-service, than there is no problem to use any other server application / platform.
It's just have to be a web-service like: support HTTP-requests with XML inside.
In the last case still the question persists "why use SAP in this case?"
Just few ERP 2005 licenses will cost more, than entire Adobe product line, so maybe you have to change the platform?

How can I reset the DTR?

I have a lot of problems with my DTR.
Now I would like to know if there is such a thing as a "reset" command that I could use for totally cleaning up the repository and restart my creation of the folders and workspaces?

You will find your answer on this page. In summary you have to deauthorize each of the 2 Macs on the Mac thenself. If it's no longer possible, then you have to deauthorize all five Macs and then reauthorize each 3 remaining
