Network Adapter for G41-Z77A?

Hey, so one day my internet stopped working after my friend moved my computer, and judging from the fact that I can't find the network adapter in the hardware when looking at the system specs  (that thing that usually says what drivers you have installed), I'm pretty sure I need to buy a new network adapter for my motherboard, and I was wondering which ones are compatible with my motherboard. I'm sorry if this was a stupid question, but I've only ever built a computer, not messed around with the individual parts. Yes, I have tried re installing windows, the drivers, and disconnecting the PSU from the motherboard already. Any help would be VERY appreciated.

Dear Qisab,
As I know, MSI has verified some Network cards. Please refer to its QVL.

Hope it is helpful for you.

  • Network adapter for the private interface for RAC

    Hi guys
This is the specification for the Network adapter for the private interface in RAC:
The network adapter for the private interface must support the user datagram protocol (UDP) using high-speed network adapters and a network switch that supports TCP/IP (Gigabit Ethernet or better).
Do you have a document where I can have more deep details about it ?
    Thanks

The network adapter for the private interface must support the user datagram protocol (UDP) using high-speed network adapters and a network switch that supports TCP/IP (Gigabit Ethernet or better).Note that TCP is also used in addition to UDP over the Interconnect. As for the statement that the NIC must support UDP - wrong statement to make. The NIC does not support UDP. The IP (Internet Protocol) stack does. The NIC supports the bottom layer of the ISO model. UDP is at layer 4.
As for your Interconnect, you have two basic choices. Gigabyte Ethernet or Infiniband.
For GigE you need of course a GigE NIC and a GigE switch, and a cable to wire the NIC into the switch.
For Infiniband you need a HCA card (e.g. Mellanox InfiniHost PCI card) and an Infiniband switch. As HCA cards are dual port, it make sense to get 2 cables and wire both ports into the switch and bond those 2 ports as a single logical NIC. You can run IPoIB (IP over Infiniband), which means that the 2 ports on the HCA will be seen by the o/s as NICs - and bonding is supported which enables you to create a single logical NIC on top of these 2 NICs and thus have full redundancy.
Also note that GigE typically is only 1Gb/s. 10 Gb/s is available, but expensive (especially the switch). Infiniband typically is QDR rate today that provides you with 40Gb/s pipes. So each port on the HCA will be 40Gb and the bonded port will thus be 2x40Gb/s.
Infiniband is a lot faster and more scalable for an Interconnect than GigE.
Also, because of the capacity and flexibility and low latency of Infiniband, you can also use it for your storage fabric layer (running your storage protocol over it).
Typically you will need to get HBA cards (dual fibre port) to wire the RAC node to the storage array's fibre channel switch. These HBA ports are 2Gb/s.
You can eliminate these HBAs and fibre cables by using a storage protocol like SRP (Scsi RDMA Protocol - RDMA=Remote Direct Memory Access) - running SRP over your Infiniband infrastructure, together with your Interconnect.
This is btw what Oracle's Database Machine and Exadata Storage servers use (and one the reasons they have broken all RAC performance records).

  • Slove "missing network adapter for internet conection" in windows xp sp3

When windows is installed in MBP via boot camp, you may enconter the problem that there is no wireless or wiered network adapter.
what you want to do is:

2.- go to strat, in the "my pc" icon right click it, go to "manage".
3.- go to "device manager" in your left hand menu.
4.- go to network adapter icon.
5.- exapand the menu by clicking on the plus sign.
6.-click the first icon on the drop down menu (it should be one network adapter).
7.- in the menu bar on top, click on "uninstall" click it.
8.- repeat steps 6 and 7 until you have uninstall all network adapters.
9.- in the menu bar on top click on "search for hardware changes".
10.- its done, the pc will look for the drives by it self, and if it dosen´t, just put in the dvd and ask it to browse your dvd for the drivers.
hope it works on you guys.
    best regards

    Hi peye,
I don't believe the problem is necessary the platform service, but a combination of your Anti-Virus and the Platform Service.
    Try this:
Change Platform to Automatic again. Disable or temporary uninstall your Anti-Virus and see what happens.
    Report back.

  • Network Adapter for K450e

How easy (or difficult) is it to install a network adapter card into a k450e?  Any recommendations for brands and models?

Good day and welcome to the community.
Please have a look at your hardware manual
    http://download.lenovo.com/consumer/desktop_pub/lenovo_k450e_hmm_20140421.pdf
It doesn't look difficult to get into the machine, but I can't offer any insight as to what kinds of adapters will work for you Other than what you might find in the FRU parts list starting on manual page 37.
Hope this helps a bit and that other members may be able to provide more specific info.

  • Looking for best wireless Network Adapter for my PowerMac G5

    Dual 2.3 GHz PowerMac G5 (PowerMac11,2)
    5.5GBs DDR2 SDRAM
    Leopard 10.5
Before the local Mac Store upgraded me from Tiger To Leopard I was using a Hawking Technology HWUG1A Wireless Adapter. It was clunky and the software crashed me now and then. Now that I'm on 10.5 the Hawking Tech. software  crashed me every time it tried to connect to the router. I uninstalled it using AppCleaner, then reinstalled the Hawking 'Leopard version' of the software/firmware, still crashing me.
There support says "it should work" which I could still pursue getting it to work correctly, but I want to move on since I've never been happy with the product and don't want to risk wasting to much time incase it is simply not going to work.
It seems I have some PCI(e) slots (whatever is in the PowerMac) available on this mac, can it take a wireless network card? That would be much better than a USB doogle. Anyway, I'm looking for a reliable solution for connecting my PowerMac G5 to my router without using cables. Can you please recommend a product if you know of one?
    Thanks for your time!

  • USB Wireless Network Adaptor for fringe reception

My holiday unit is just on the fringe of a Wireless G service. I can get connected outside - but not inside. The ISP advised that a wireless bridge will not work - but an external network adaptor with 1.5 - 2 metres of cable should do the trick. They suggested the Linksys WUSB54G. (http://www.linksysbycisco.com/ANZ/en/products/WUSB54G) Unfortunately this is a Windows only device.
Can anyone recommend an alternative that will work with OS X?

Google "Wireless-G USB Network Adapter for Macintosh".

  • Trying to set-up the network adapter in Solaris 11 under Hyper-V fails

I was using Virtual Box to run Solaris 11 for testing purposes, however VB was disappointing as my VM hanged too often so now I am evaluating Hyper-V under Windows 8 Pro. If I can get the network to work I will use Hyper-V even if it lacks seamless mouse
and keyboard integration. So, I installed Solaris 11 in Hyper-V but I cannot get the network to work. What I have done:
    - I have created a Virtual Switch of type External with Virtual Switch Manager
    - I have created a Legacy Network Adapter for my virtual solaris machine
    - in Windows 8 I have created a Bridge for my WiFI NIC and the Virtual Switch
I can access the internet from my host machine (windows 8)but I cannot do it from the guest (solaris)
If I type "ipadm" in my solaris's terminal I can see that the NIC is listed but it has no IP address. So how can I assign an IP address to the Legacy Network Adapter?
    Thanks

    Hi Brian,
Thanks for the reply. I have managed to get networking working by creating a legacy card attached to a virtual switch, but I have not used the bridging anymore, instead I simply shared in the host OS the wifi connection to the virtual switch. This way it works.
Now I have another problem with the Solaris guest OS not seeing the SCSI controller, but I'll open a new thread for this after some more testing.
    Thank You

  • Network Adapter

Is it just me or does anyone else think a network adapter for the Ipad that would connect to the dock port would be nice to have for Network troubleshooting in the enterprise world? Should not be very complicated for Apple to make, but for some reason, just another limitation that we do not have the ability to have.

Once again, that's not what the iPad was designed to do. You want it to be a mini-laptop, when it's not. The more complexity Apple adds to the iPad, the more issues pop up. It's not an enterprise device (unless we're talking about ST:TNG, then that's a cool story), it's a consumer device for watching movies, reading books, and checking email.

  • Network adapter does not work

How do I replace network adapter for Model p6370t, Product No. AZ210AV, Window 7 Professional operating system? It quit working after a power surge caused by a close lightning strike.  It appears that this was the only damage. I can get on the internet using a wireless adapter and router. I would like to use a wired connection.

You will have to purchase a PCI Express x1 network adapter card to install in one of the slots in your motherboard.
Tere are quite a few available on this web document at NewEgg.com. You should also be able to find one at any local PC or electronics store.

  • HP Pavilion dv6-3043ee Realtek Network Adapter not found in Device Manager

Hi I own an HP Pavilion dv6-3043ee, 64bit and running Windows 7. And somehow the network adapter for the LAN got uninstalled for some reason. Now after posting something on the site I finally downloaded the driver for my laptop.
Now another problem, after or at the end of the installation process a pop up message was shown:
"The Realtek Network Controller was not found,
If Deep Sleep Mode is enabled Please Plug the Cable."
Now I checked Device Manager to see if the Realtek Network Adapter was there but it wasn't. All I can see are:
    -Atheros AR9285 802.11b/g/n Wifi Adapter
    -Bluetooth Device (Personal Area Network)
    -Bluetooth Device (RFCOMM Protocl TDI)
    -TAP-Windows Adapter V9
    Someone please help. Thank you.

If device is identified but there is no driver for it, it will be appeared as unknown device in Device Manager with question mark icon (?), are you seeing such thing in device manager?
If not, you should refer to your PC manufacturer's website and download.

  • Editing a VM in vCAC 6.0.1.1 configures incorrect Network Adapter type

    Hi All,
I am experiencing an issue with vCAC 6 in regard to configuring a secondary network adapter for a previously deployed VM.
The VM is a Win 2k8 R2 VM that was created from a Template that was located in vCD.
When I edit the VM and submit the request for the secondary network adapter, it creates the NIC with an adapter type of Flexible.
As Win 2k8 does not support Flexible, we need to specify that VMXNET3 is selected.  Any ideas how this would be achieved?
I have had a go at doing this using custom properties but this does not seem to make a difference.
    Any direction appreciated.
    Regards
    Dave

Honestly, I have had some real trouble with "Edit" for any network function in both VCAC 6.0 and 6.1.
I haven't tried to solve this one yet, but if I were to go about it... I would use the Advanced Service Designer and add the network adapter via VCO workflow.  Then let the inventory service come through and pick up the change (-or- you can actually kick off an inventory scan from the VCO workflow as well).
If you do not have ASD, you won't be able to do that, and you may be at the mercy of the current limitations in the product version you are using.  If there is an answer, I hope you find it.  I am also interested in knowing if this is possible via "Edit."  For the time being, we have completely removed "Edit" as an entitlement as it has created more trouble than good.
You could also just have a blueprint that deploys a machine with two or more network adapters.  Maybe that would work for you.  Dunno.

  • 14z-v000 LAN Network adapter missing

Realtek LAN Network Adapter is missing and i'm unable to reinstall it. I tried to reinstall the Realtek LAN Driver but it keeps telling me "Realtek Network Controller was not found. If Deep Sleep Mode is enabled  Please Plug Cable."  Also the same message occurs when I try and reinstall the Realtek Network Controller Driver. I have attempted to restore to a previous time when I had the Ethernet Adapter and the LAN connection was working. Note that i do have access to the internet through the Wireless network adapter and wireless network but in device manager I'm completely missing the adapter for the Realtek LAN Connection. Even when I plug in a Ethernet cord into the computer through the port on the side, it still doesn't detect any sort of activity. Both the orange and white lights are always on even if unpluged.

It is a terrific place to find answers and tips!
For you to have the best experience in the HP forum I would like to direct your attention to the HP Forums Guide. Learn How to Post and More  I understand that you have lost your network capability on your notebook and are unable to do a restore back to when it was working.  You are unable to install drivers for the LAN devices. Have you checked for viruses and malware?  MS Malicious Software Removal Tool Would you do this step, which will scan for corrupted files and try to repair them. Go to the command prompt  and run as administrator. Press Windows key +C to open charms.Type command prompt in the search bar.Right click and run as administrator.Type sfc /scannow and press enter.Once this completes restart your notebook and repeat this process once more. Now open Device Manager and show hidden devices, if the network adapters are not showing scan for hardware changes. Next you can try a HP PCs - Refresh Your PC to Resolve Problems (Windows 8).  This will reinstall the operating system and should not affect your personal files. If the network adapters are still not listed in the Device Manager, I would test the network adapter for a hardware failure. HP Notebook PCs - Testing for Hardware Failures (Windows 8).  Network should be listed under the component test in the UEFI which is the one you want to utilize. If for any reason that options is not available or the adapter is not recognized, if warranty is not a concern you can try reseating the network card. The next step would be to try a recovery back to factory.HP PCs - Performing an HP system recovery (Windows 8) During the recovery there is an option to backup your personal files to prevent data loss.
