Network Adapter issue

I installed enterprise edition 10.2.0.3 on my laptop successfully. I've been able to access the database successfuly. I rebooted my computer and I now get error 'The Network Adapter could not establish the connection'. I thought that maybe the ip address has changed (web access via DSL). I ran lsnrctl status and it reported TNS-12541: TNS:no listener. I tried lsnrctl start and I get error TNS-12560: TNS:protocol adapter error TNS-00530: Protocol adapter error.
Could someone please provide ideas of what to do to correct the error?
Thanks in advance!
Jerry

Here you go!
Thanks!!

  • T410 Network Adapter Issue

I have a Lenovo Thinkpad  T410 with WIndows 7 . It has "Intel 82577LM Gigabit " network adapter. The issue is that , sometimes, my laptop doesn't connect to the internet. The problem is very intermittent. There is no issue with my wired network connectivity , as I'm able to connect to my Sony Vaio Windows 7 laptop without any problem.
I have tried everything I could get on Internet forums. I updated the network driver also. But the issue still occurs sometimes, and after a few hours , inexplicably, it starts working fine.
Any help would be most appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Suraj

If you're talking about wired connection, try this:-
    1. Click the "Start" button and choose "Control Panel" from the Start menu.
    2. Click "Device Manager" on the "Control Panel."
    3. Click the arrow icon next to "Network Adapters" to extend the category.
    4. Right-click on your network card and choose "Properties" from the menu.
    5. Navigate to the "Power Management" tab.
    6. Remove the check in the box next to "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power."
    7. Click the "OK" button to confirm the new settings.
Let us know how it goes.

  • C560 Network Adapter Issues

    Hello,
I've had my Lenovo C560 for a couple of months now, and recently it's been giving me fits for trying to maintain an internet connection to my modem/router. It's over a WiFi connection with other connected devices, i.e. Kindle Fire, iPhone, Galaxy S3, etc., working just fine. The issue, every time I've run Troubleshooting, has to do with the "Access Point or Network Adapter." I've powered down the modem/router numerous times for 10 seconds a piece, and mostly had success. What, if anything, can I do to fix this?

    @the_mad_sooner ,
Hello and thank you for posting on the HP support forum.  So that I can help you with this please post back with the product number of your system.
The reason I need this is so that I can provide you the link to the drivers that have been built for your system.
The drivers are built for each model based on what has been projected.  Now if there are no vista drivers for your system on the support page then you will have to find a driver that may work or switch to an OS that is covered on the support page.
Many of the drivers and hardware built are proprietary and ones from the chipset manufacturer may not work.
How Do I Find My Model Number or Product Number?
You will also notice when searching for drivers for any system that from one version of an OS to another the driver may be totally different so it is no just about the system being 32 or 64 bit.
    I hope this helps.
Please post back soon so I can get you the link to the correct drivers.
Thank you again for posting and have a great day.

  • Z87-GD65 Network adapter issues

Several times each day I encounter a BSOD relating to the network adapter/drivers (e22w8x64.sys) and from a cursory search on here it seems I'm not the only one.
Advice seems mixed and I'm yet to see anything definitive from MSI but the common solution adopted by others seems to consist of using "Killer cleaner" and then installing "Killer Suite" direct from Qualcomm's website but this just makes things worse for me at least.
I assume the purpose of killer cleaner is to remove all traces of the previous driver and I assume killer suite contains the latest and most up-to-date drivers but once I restart the system, as prompted, I have internet connectivity for about 3 seconds before it changes to "limited connectivity" and stays like that. Device manager assures me that the NIC is working correctly but it simply refuses to change from "limited connectivity" regardless of what I try.
    Any suggestions?

  • Network Adapter Issues DC7900 Ultra Slim

The version of the operating system is irrelevant for this issue as it is occurring with both 32 and 64 Bit. I recently purchased two machines to refurb and the generic drivers are not working on either machine. That's okay. I load the OS on the first one, install the network driver (Intel 82567LM-3) from HP site and error code 10. I uninstall and try the driver directly from Intel, same thiing...Device Cannot Start. So I repeat same exact order on the second machine, and exact same results. Is there something in the BIOS I'm not getting? Is this a fatal flaw in these machines? Bad MOBO? Should I just get USB to ethernet adapter? Of course I've just considered going wireless only, but would like to know if I've done all that can be done. Does anyone know of something that can be done? Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

  • Boot Camp Network Adapter Driver

I boot camped my mac successfully but couldn't download Apple's Support software(Not big enough flash drive). I thought I was fine but it turns out I need a Network Adapter Driver. Is my only solution getting a bigger Flash drive?
Or is there a place where I can get it seperatly as that is all I need I believe.
    Thanks in advance.

I just bootcamped mine to windows 8 last night.  It ran OK apart from the missing network adapter issue which I then re-ran bootcamp assistant with only the "download the latest Windows support software from Apple" checkbox ticked and saved it to a USB.  The bootcamp files it added to the USB were in a folder that was only 512MB.  Started up bootcamp Windows. ran the setup.exe from the USB and it fixed the network adapter issue no problems.

Are you talking about the Enterprise Manager Console provided by the oracle or some other enterprise software? If it is enterprise software then you need to the do the proper setting for network connection to database. Probably you will have to configure tnsname.ora and sqlnet.ora. Can you connect through SQL*Plus utility? Go to Run-->SQLPLUSW type in the username password and tnsnames entry for the database. See if you can connect. If not post us the error message.
    Regards.

  • Z87-G45 Network Driver/Adapter Issue

    Hello,
Since I purchased this motherboard a year and a half ago I've been having an issue with the network adapter. Typically when I boot my computer my internet won't work. When running the Windows Troubleshooting tool it says that the wired network adapter is experiencing problems. In order to get my internet to work I usually unplug and replug in the network cable a number of times, disable and reenable the adapter, and/or restart until it starts working again. Not a very clean method, but it usually works.
In an attempt to fix this issue, I downloaded the network drivers from the MSI website. I removed the driver program and uninstalled the driver from device manager. When I run the driver installer I get a message saying You must remove the following installation(s) before the setup can proceed. Please remove from Control Panel -> Programs and Features: * Qualcomm Atheros Killer Network Manager
The Qualcomm Atheros Killer Network Manager is not listed under Programs and Features since I've removed it. I cannot find anything related to Qualcomm in my computer's program files or anything. I'm really not sure where the installer references in order to determine that the program is installed - I'm thinking it could possibly be a reg key or something. Regardless, my wired internet is not working at the moment. I'd appreciate any help you guys could provide in the matter.
    Thanks

    Hey again,
I was able to install my network driver software, but I'm still having an issue with the network adapter. I'm not sure if this is a driver or a software issue, but like I said in the above post, in order to get my internet to work through that network adapter I have to unplug and replug in the network cable a number of times and disable and re-enable the adapter through the adapter settings page.
Would anybody be able to advise me on this?

  • Server 2012 R2 - The system failed to register host (A or AAAA) resource records (RRs) for network adapter

We seem to be having an issue recently after introducing new Windows Server 2012 R2 servers where they fail to register DNS correctly. The Windows Firewall is off and the servers are on the same VLAN with no firewalls between them.
When I do an ipconfig /registerdns or wait 24 hours for the system to try we get the following error:
The system failed to register host (A or AAAA) resource records (RRs) for network adapter
    with settings:
               Adapter Name : {4A0ECF05-193F-4BEA-AA46-BEC593BA752B}
               Host Name : SRV-DATA
               Primary Domain Suffix : internal.local
               DNS server list :
    192.168.0.50, 192.168.0.42
Sent update to server : <?>
               IP Address(es) :
                 192.168.0.99
The reason the system could not register these RRs was because the DNS server contacted refused the update request. The reasons for this might be (a) you are not allowed to update the specified DNS domain name, or (b) because the DNS server authoritative
for this name does not support the DNS dynamic update protocol.
To register the DNS host (A or AAAA) resource records using the specific DNS domain name and IP addresses for this adapter, contact your DNS server or network systems administrator.
On our DNS server we have set for the internal.local zone Secure Updates only so that looks good because it is Active Directory that should be handling this authentication to update the record I assume. Just to mention that when also doing an ipconfig /regsiterdns
the update fails within a few seconds.

This issue is only affecting Windows Server 2012 R2 clients and testing with Windows Server 2008 R2 clients works no issues. So is this a mis-configuration or a bug with Windows 2012 R2? I have checked all DNS settings on client / server which all look good
to me so reaching out now to see if anyone has any ideas?

  • Broadcom 802.11n Network Adapter not working on Windows 7 64bit

As the title suggests, my laptop (Alienware m17x) is installed with the Broadcom 802.11n Network Adapter and Windows 7 64bit Home Premium.  I have had several other driver incompatibility issues with Windows 7, but those I have slowly been able to resolve.  This however just cropped up after two months of successful use.  Yesterday it started failing to connect to the internet, telling me that no wireless connections are available.  I live in a dorm, and everyone else on my floor has successful wireless, including my Ipod Touch, PS3 and XBox 360.  I called Alienware/Dell Support and we spent hours trying to fix the problem and all look well until I rebooted my laptop this morning and the same issue reappeared.  When I reboot my laptop, all I get is a notification that no networks appear in range.  If I uninstall the broadcom chip and let windows install it after a boot up it works until the machine is rebooted a second time.  I have tried over a dozen windows 7 drivers for the chip, and about half a dozen vista drivers and they all have the same results, works on the first boot, fails every time after that

Just registered to say, on an Alienware M17x system as well running Windows 7 Ultimate, here is a link to a solution that worked exactly for me:
    http://forum.notebookreview.com/alienware/436486-guide-properly-solve-wireless-connection-problems-m17x.html
All I did was section I.a. If the link is down, I copied the only section that I needed to follow out of this guide, in order to get my wireless to work repeatedly without having to uninstall the wireless driver every single reboot. Now it works perfectly,
already connected to a wireless network on startup.
I.a. Disable Device sleep on disconnect
Some newer Nvidia Ethernet drivers have a feature called Device sleep on disconnect. This is the culprit. Normally, it should only put the Ethernet adapter to sleep when the cable is disconnected, but it's buggy and thus kills the wireless connection as
    well.
Follow these steps to disable this feature on your Nvidia Ethernet Adapter:
    1. Open the Windows Device Manager by hitting Win+Pause, then click on Device Manager on the left side.
    2. Double-click on Network adapters.
    3. Double-click on NVIDIA nForce Networking Controller (yes, that's the wired Ethernet adapter indeed).
    4. Click on the Advanced tab.
    5. Select Device sleep on disconnect.
    6. Set the Value to Disabled.
    7. Click OK and wireless should work again (might require a reboot afterwards, but probably not).

  • OWB Error while deploying the mapping  Io exception: The Network Adapter co

    Hi,
We are using OWB 10.2 in our production environment.Actually we are using OWB only for development.
After deploying each mapping we will create scheduler job for execution of these mappings.
Recently our staging DBs port has been changed to 1522 from 1521 and i have gone throgh the below steps.
    1) Changed the port in tnsnames.ora file.
    2) In Start Control Centre Servioce ,i have changed the port to 1522 for owbownr user and started the service successfully.
    3) i have run the script UpdateLocation.sql from the OWBOWNR schema and updated the port number.
    4) I tried to run the UpdateControlCenter.sql in owbownr schema and staging schema also, but i am getting an error like below.
    SQL> @UpdateControlCenter.sql
This sql script sets the host:port:service parameters for a control center
    in the OWB Client Repository.
The connection type must be host:port:service and cannot be changed
    using this script.
    Enter Control Center Name: DEFAULT_CONTROL_CENTER

There are errors in one or more PL/SQL packages and functions
Platform properties have been loaded correctly

    6) After login to OWB ,i have checked the Location,OWB Repository Location And Control center In OWB connection Explorer,
and all the connections are successful.
After this i took Control Centre from Tools and i tried to deploy one mapping.

    Hi Allan,
    Thanks for your quick reply.
I have checked in OWB\Locations\Database\Oracle\Location\DB Connectors and also in Control Center\Location\Connectors,seems like there is no connectors created.
Do you have any other suggestions?
Also i analyzed the UpdateControlCenter.sql in that
    select value into v_connectiontype from cmpstringpropertyvalue_v where logicalname = 'CMPLocation_ConnectionType' and propertyowner = v_elementid;
    the qry returns 'SQL*NET'.
    Any workaround for these???
    Please reply.

  • DM1 list of problems after 1 year - bad network adapter, touchpad, and headphone jack

I have a HP Pavilion DM1-3020 US laptop with Windows 7 64 bit Home Premium, 3 GB RAM.
After completing a factory re-install, I still have the following issues, after purchasing this computer only a year ago:
    1) The network adapter simply stopped working, not sure if it shorted out or what. The wifi works, but the computer cannot detect or connect to an ethernet cable
    2) The touchpad went off randomly and comes back on randomly. There is an orange light that indicates when it is off.
    3) If i plug in headphones, music still plays through the speakers as though it doesn't know there are headphones, or it comes in and out between the speakers/headphones.
This computer seems to be plagued with issues, and I would like the above issues addressed, and the computer fixed or replaced.

If you do not have a warranty with HP, they will not do anything for you unfortunately.
This is a user to user forum, contact HP directly if you feel they can do something for you, sorry about your troubles.

  • Virtual Network Adapter (vEthernet) unauthenticated

    Hi,
I have a problem, with configuring a Virtual Network Adapter on SC VMM.
I created a logical switch with two physical network adapter (team) and add a virtual network adapter to the logical switch. After that a virtual network adapter will be created on the hyper-v host, but with the status "domain.local (unauthenticated).
With another hyper-v host it work without problems.
I tried to remove and recreate all that stuff but without success.
Do someone know that problem? Or can help to find a solution?
    Thank you for the help.
    Br,
    Andi

    Hi Sir,
I searched for this issue but it seems  none fits your case :
    https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/windows/en-US/ca343a3c-c61e-4816-9a96-d973386db2e2/network-shows-as-unauthenticatedchanged-my-network-profile-to-public
Did you try to manually configure teaming on that hyper-v host , still same result ?
    Best Regards,
