Network Adaptor Problem

I have SQLDev and 11g install on my laptop (vista). Everything was working fine until a few days ago. I was able to connect to the 11g on my laptop and to other DBs across the netword.
Now I cannot connect to the 11g DB on laptop but can still connect to the other DBs across the network.
I get a Network Adaptor cannot establish error vendor code 17002

Nothing has changed with the DB setup/config over the past few month. I previously logged into SQL Developer last week to the DB on laptop. Nothing was changed since the last login
Except maybe a new Java download and install was automatically done over the past few days. Would this have caused something to happen ???

  • Dv6645us network adaptor problem

DV6645us - Vista 32 bit - Network adapter stopped working. no changes to system before loss of network.  wireless and wired won't work. I have updated the drivers and still no working network adapter.    I have tried system restore to a previous time when it had been working and still won't work.  Other laptops still working fine with the same network.

The AMD versions of the dv6500 series are prone to motherboard failure and loss of network function is a pretty common first symptom. I would say the motherboard is bad and needs to be replaced. The only other thing you could try is a full restore not just a rollback to a previous time. If just the wireless went out I would tell you to try replacing the wireless card only. Do the NIC and wi-fi card still show up in device manager? Are there any errors?

  • Disabling Internal Network Adaptor

My lads 2006 Mac Mini is having problems staying connected to our Wireless Network.
I bought him a USB Dongle adaptor in the hopes of solving the problem as these Mac Minis are know for having problem network adaptors.
The problem I have is how to make the computer see the new adaptor and disable the internal one.
    Can anyone help please?
    Thanks

Go to Sys Prefs/Network. Highlight AirPort in the list on the right. Turn off the AirPort card to the right if it is not already off.
Go to the bottom of the list and click the + sign. In the dropdown menu select your USB dongle and give it a name. Configure your connection on the right.

  • Network stream Two network adaptor cards in PC comms with crio

    Hi all,
I have two network adaptor cards in my pc which i think is causing my problems when collecting data over the tcp.
I'm seeing an error message -314340 from the create network stream write/read my address match up and i'm using a template crio vibration data logger.
I have two network cards in my pc. I think the error is a tcp one and I’m wondering if this is causing the problem. I’ve given the crio a static ip address 10.0.0.2 with mask 255.255.0.0
You can see the network adaptor below and it’s ip address 10.0.0.1 so I’m connected directly to this via ethernet cable. However from the Routes print cmd I don’t see the 10.0.0.2. Also the gateway for the crio is default at 0.0.0.0
Do I need to add the route to the list ? I found the cmd for that which I don’t think I’m using right… route ADD 10.0.0.2 MASK 255.255.0.0 10.0.0.1
    Cheers

Hi i'm using the crio data logger template from the create project list:
I'll post my code and some pretty pictures to help explain myself
I'm using a different crio, so i created a new project and configured the FPGA vi for my hardware, then added the host side. I can run the code see the waveforms after 10 seconds it outright crashes and i've been searching through all the error messages tracking it back to some unfound reason. The irony is sometimes the program creates a tdms file and makes a deposit in the crio folder/deposit (this is defined from an xml file)
I do notice within a few seconds the cpu on the waveform panel increases to 70+% before crash, so i'm also thinking the FIFO read is at fault, but it could be another red heiring (just installing the real time exection package so i can trace this better).
I've changed the number of channels from the default 4 to 2 please look in the VibConfig.xml file to see the change as the [Host] Create Config XML.vi doesn't like to changing the channel from 4 for some reason.
My set up is [SENSORS] ==> [cRIO] ==ETHERNET==> [PC] Please help

  • GetConnection-- Network Adaptor Error

    Hello there
I am running many client thread calling methods in EJB beans. I get Network Adaptor Error when trying to get connection. This only happens when many clients running concurrently.
I wonder whether other people have come accross the same problem.
If this is a driver's bug, will it be fixed soon?
    Thanks,

  • Using multiple network adaptors

i have a network of macs and pc's, and i want to set it up so i have my macs able to access the net, but not the windows machines. the pc's are just fileservers which don't need access to anything other than eachother and the macs. all machines are connected to eachother by a switch, the macs also connect with their airport adaptors to an adsl router.
if i put airport at the top of the network adaptors list to prioritise it, i can't access anything over built in ethernet. if i put built in ethernet to the top, i can't access the net. i assume its because both 'work' so it doesn't move down the list to the next adaptor. i really need to get it working so the macs will try to route over both network adaptors, so whether i'm using the internet or browsing the local network, either one or the other will make it work.
i'd appreciate any advice. i am running 10.4 client and 10.4 server on the 2 macs. thanks.

    re:
"Going the other way, I can connect to both 10.0.1.4 & 10.0.1.6 at the same time with the GO cmd from this wireless only machine."
yes, you're still going through the router so the wired and the wireless adapters (yes i just noticed i'd been spelling adapters wrong, oh well) are both connecting to the same thing so pinging/GOing to both ip's will work. for me my airport is connecting to a router, and my ethernet to a switch. it doesn't work because they are connecting to 2 different networks.
    re:
"Hmmm, just connected the other machines Airport to an outside network and still able to get the Local network via Ethernet... the second one down."
you can connect to another wireless network yes but just getting onto another wireless network in itself isn't the problem, it depends if you can browse the other network or not, thats the trick. if you can while still connecting to the net through ethernet then thats what i need to be able to do. if you can, please let me know.

  • T41 has Network Controller problem

I was given a T41 2373-7JU that I loaded with XP Pro. My problem is it will not  connect to the internet via it's browser. In Device Manager it shows a Network Controller problem and I've been unable to correct this no matter how many different drivers I've tried. Also, how do I tell if there's an internal  wireless card inside?  It did connect to the internet earlier today using my USB adaptor but now I can't even do that anymore. I've tried a dozen or so solutions without any success so where should I go from here?

Hi and welcome to the forum!
Following are the drivers you need for Ethernet and wifi card (and yes, as per support page there's an internal card installed in your system):-
    http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/document.do?lndocid=MIGR-62922
    http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/document.do?lndocid=MIGR-42683
To install the drivers successfully, you need to run the .exe setups from C:\Drivers.... for each device after the first setup completes.
For ethernet, the setup is in C:\DRIVERS\Win\ETHERNET\PRO1000\Win32 and for wifi C:\DRIVERS\WLLANCSC.
    Hope this helps.

  • What is a network adaptor

WE HAVE A TOUCHSMART  600 WHEN WE TRY TO CONECET TO INTERNET IT SAYES NEED NETWORK ADAPTOR WHAT IS THIS I SHOW MY CONETION BUT CAN NOT GET TO ANY IDEAS DO I NEED TO BUY SOMETHING FOR THIS THANK YOU

    Hi,
It is a piece of hardware which allows you to connect to a Wifi network. TS 600 is a series of many models but all AIO machines should have network adapter ready. Please check the following link to fix (very similar for Vista and Windows 8):

  • Wi-Fi network adaptor not available on my Equium A300D

    Hi
Hope u can help; I currently have the Toshiba Equium A300D laptop. It got a virus and corrupted 1 of my hard drives, which I now cant use, however I installed the operating system on my other hard drive, everything was fine until I tried 2 connect 2 the internet, windows diagnosed the problem and said it couldnt find the network adaptor for my Wi-Fi.
Can anybody give me some help in resolving this issue?
    Many thanks

    >...couldnt find the network adaptor for my Wi-Fi
Is WLAN card recognized and installed properly?
What is the status in device manager?
If everything is OK there I presume WLAN card is not enabled properly. At first move WLAN switch to ON position and then use FN+F8 combination to enable WLAN card.

  • SCCM remote control keeps dropping out when another network adaptor loses connection

    Hey guys,
Hopefully someone will be able to help me out
at work, we are running SCCM 2012, and I use SCCM 2012 config manager to manage the clients etc
We have a particularly annoying issue with SCCM remote control; it constantly drops out when a network connection on the client machine disconnects or changes state, even if its not interface I'm remote controlling through
    Here's an example for you:
a laptop with a wired, and wireless connection:
I remote control the machine through the wired network address (lets say 192.168.0.1), but if the wireless connection drops out (someone turns it off or it breaks) the remote control client will kick me off, lock the screen, and I have to wait 20-30 seconds
before it will accept my connection again
This happens with any network adaptor that's installed on the client
Here is a copy of the logs re-creating this issue: https://www.dropbox.com/s/nu4w28d44xky3rg/CmRcService.log
(I've edited it to take out usernames and IP addresses as they are publicly accessible)
So my question, does any one know how to fix this issue? I see it uses WMI, is there anyway to get WMI to ignore an interface?
    Thanks heaps,
    Harry

This is going to be done by design for security reasons. If the network connect for whatever reason is down the pc will automatically be locked.

My daughter has just bought me an iPad 2 from Dubai and set it all up for me but unfortunately the iMessage function doesn't seem to work. We keep getting messages, when trying to activate it, that there is a network connection problem - help!

Thank you both for your responses but my daughter was reassured by the salesman in the iStyle store (official Apple store in the UAE) that iMessages would work but conceded that FaceTime wouldn't. My iTunes account is registered in the uk and my daughter's iPhone has iMessages even though she bought it (and uses it) in Dubai. Can anyone else throw any light on this?

  • Number of network adaptors needed in RAC

    hello guys,
in oracle RAC each node must have a minimum of 3 adaptors. one for private interconnect, one for public interconnect and one for serving the user requests (VIP).
    1. also in oracle 11g with the introduction of SCAN. do we have to add a new network adaptor to make use of scan or can the network adaptor using the VIP address can be used for SCAN. if SCAN requires a new adaptor then it makes 4 n/w adaptors needed for each node,
    2. Oracle documentation says that SCAN can be resolved to at most 3 network addresses. what happens if we have a RAC with more than 3 nodes.
    3. How does this SCAN really work. it says that scan be used as a single IP address instead of defining several ip address in the tnsnames.ora file at the client side.
    4. moreover the these SCAN ip Addresses are assigned by the DNS. i dont understand how can more than 2 system share a same ip address.
can any one help me understand these concepts please...

There should be two adaptors only. One for the private interconnect, one for the pulbic. The VIP is going to be using the public interconnect only. The third one, is going to be required if you are going to be using it for storage.

I am not sure that you need a separate adaptor for it since its also going to be a public IP.
    2. Oracle documentation says that SCAN can be resolved to at most 3 network addresses. what happens if we have a RAC with more than 3 nodes. There is no mandatory thing that you need 3 SCAN network addresses. One can be used as well. 3 is the suggested setting for the setup. I believe for nodes more than 3 too, this would work. I have not installed 11.2 RAC for more than 3 nodes yet so can't be sure .
    3. How does this SCAN really work. it says that scan be used as a single IP address instead of defining several ip address in the tnsnames.ora file at the client side. That's wrong. There is nothing like single IP address.SCAN is Single Cluster Access Name which means instead of putting VIPs in the client side tnsnames.ora, you are going to put just a SCAN cluster name whose VIP address resolutio is going to be done with the help of your DNS . Please read the documentation which explains the concept in lot more detail.
    4. moreover the these SCAN ip Addresses are assigned by the DNS. i dont understand how can more than 2 system share a same ip address. Not sure that I got your statement.

  • My wireless adapter is not showing in my device manager under network adaptors

    I have a Pavilion, model p6210f with Windows 7
I have used it for 2 years with an ethernet cable and now I need it to go wireless, however, no wireless adpater is showing in the device manager under network adaptors, only showing the LAN.
Checking the specifications for this model at the hp website, it should have a 56K Win Modem.
Don't know what to do except go buy a USB Wireless adaptor, any ideas?
Called tech support, but I was given no assistance.

    Hi:
Below is the link to the product specs for your PC.
    http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c01852858&tmp_task=prodinfoCategory&cc=us&dlc=en...
The PC does not come with wireless networking capability - only a wired ethernet adapter and a dial up modem.
The easiest thing to do is to purchase and external USB wireless network adapter.
Below is a link which will give you plenty of choices to consider. Look at the reviews and buy one that best suits your needs. You will of course, also need a wireless networking router.

  • What network adaptors support 802.11ac?

I want to purchase the new airport/time capsule mainly for it's 802.11ac capabilities. I have a mid-2009 macbook pro.
Wondering what network adaptors are out there that I can plug into my usb that can support 802.11ac? I found some but they only support Windows.

Newer AC wireless would need to support USB 3 standard but of course that is not available.
I want to purchase the new airport/time capsule mainly for it's 802.11ac capabilities. I have a mid-2009 macbook pro.
You only have one port that is near capable (actually more than capable if real numbers are used) and that is ethernet. So the best device for you is a second Airport Extreme working as bridge or extend wireless in apple terminology.. really it is not such a bad option since the cost of AC usb 3.0 will be over $100 anyway.

  • Connecting iMac to ASDL router via home Phone Network Adaptor (PNA)

I connect to the internet via an ASDL Router from BT called the Network 1200.
This allows other computers in the home to connect to the router via a telephone point close to the computer. This is achieved by plugging a Phone Network Adaptor into a USB port on the computer on one end and the telephone socket on the other. The driver for the PNA is contained on disc. I have been connecting several PCs to the router in this way for many years.
I then buy a new iMac, load the driver for the PNA. Plug it into the USB port (expecting this to connect the iMac to the router and so achieving an internet connection) ....but nothing happens. iMac doesn't even acknowledge something has been plugged into a USB port. This works perfectly well with any other PC.
Can anybody help steer me in the right direction to solve this?
    Thanks

The Driver was meant to be compatible with a Mac but I guess it could have been for earlier Macs and operating systems. Next question is where do I get one if one exists?
