Network and Mavericks is all messed up

My network connection to my company network has just gone wacky since upgarding to Mavericks,. it is one of many problems i am having. I can connect to the internet but the wifi icon says no internet connectivity. Also mapped drives on servers are now no longer available and i cannot reconnect to them. BUT i can connect to other folders on that server that were not previously mapped. go figure. someone dig up Steve and get him back in the drivers seat. Details Apple Details!!!!

Yes... the heat in a parked car in Louisiana in August can definately ruin an iPod (or almost any electronic device).
You have a warranty, but unfortunately this is certain to be considered by Apple to be abuse and thus not covered. Sorry. There are third-party iPod repair services available. Google 'ipod repair' and see what comes up. I see ipodresq recommended a lot on these forums.

Who can shed some light on my ongoing connection problem.
After upgrading my iPad Air with IOS 7.06, I could no longer connect to the internet.
I have 2 MacBooks Air, 1 ipad mini and one iPhone 4S running on the same network, and they are all connected to the net and function well.
So I cleaned up the ipad completely, installed the latest firmware and reinstalled my apps : no connection.
I tried all things of resets and forgets. No result.
I have been fondling with my Airport Extreme 5 , but that did not help much.
This morning I went to a neighbor , hooked my ipad air on his network, typed the password and the thing all worked fine.
I have tried to connect the ipad air as an ethernet client, but that did not work. „Not enough power“ was the statement
Ideas anyone ?

Yes I tried this manyfold. But did not work. Reading on, I took Tesserac's advice. Shut down router and computer.
Start router after 15 minutes and wait another 10 minutes before starting the computer.
Et voila.... everything is back in working order,

What is the actual status of my Silver iPhone 6 Plus 128GB preorder that was confirmed completed by 3:35AM EST? Reps and websites and emails are ALL messed up.

So, I placed my order by 3:35 AM EST for my Silver 6 plus 128GB. All the way through the process, from selecting the phone to the submission confirmation screen on the web it stated delivery by 9/19. I received my email confirmation and that showed the order date as 9/12 and the delivery date as 9/12. Well I knew that would not be right.
So then I go online to check the order status and it states the order has been received and the expected SHIP date is 10/14. WHAT?!?
So I called Vz and spoke with a rep who stated that he wasn't sure why it showed that but my ship date would be 9/19. Call #1
Well that's fine, I knew he probably mixed those words up.
So then I check on 9/13 to see if it was updated online, still showed 10/14. So I call again and this time the Vz rep places me on hold then comes back and says I am sorry to say that your expected ship date is 10/14. Flustered and irritated I ask how that can happen and change from all the other notices stating the 19th (or sooner according to the email which she laughed about). Call #2
So today, I decide to check again after Noon EST and now all day it has said that the expected ship date is NOT AVAILABLE?
Checking this community, looking at tweets and posts I see all conflicting information, some people getting getting ship notices but most of those are just the 6 and not the plus.
Where can I find a straight answer. I have seen another poster state that anyone who completed their order the first couple hours of ordering on the 12th will definitely receive on the 19th according to what they have been told by a Vz rep but honestly with the mixed messages I have seen personally I am not putting a lot of faith in what was told to him.
OH, also I can only check my order by my preorder confirmation and not my order number. When trying to check with my order number it gives an error message saying that is not a valid number.
I have been a customer for almost 20 years, and this is making me think about switching.

Share iTunes Library on home network and edit from all computers?

I'd like to share my iTunes library on the 3 Macs on my home network and be able to edit the library (add songs, edit titles, add cover art, etc.) from any of the computers. Is there a way to do this? Thanks!

When I updated my Apple TV it shows about 10 computers on my network when I only have one computer on my network and they are all the same....why did this happen? I only have one computer linked to the Apple TV

It looks to be a bug. A reboot to computer and/or Apple TV may resolve it.

Please help VSt folders and contents got all messed up

Hi I hope someone can help me The problem started when i installed live 5.2 there was a conflict and it would nt read the plugins now I done know what i did but I got my self in a mess can anyone tell me where the folders are suppose to be located and what should be in them . I know not all of the Plugins are compatible on my MBP but I knw some should showing up . All I GET is the aple ones the wave arts one I bought and that is it any help to fixing this is a ppreciated

My Apple Tv is connecting to the Wifi network but is not connect to the internet. So when I look for it on my Airplay it doesn't come up. I have 3 other ones already working on the network and they are all fine.

My apple TV is finding and connecting to the Wifi network but then says it is not connected to the internet and then I cannot find it on the iPad through airplay. I don't want it connected to the internet (as in www.) because for the use I have I only need to use the Apple tvs locally in a sports hall as scoreboards. I have 3 others working on the same router and they are working fine (as of yesterday)
On my screen I see (obviously not written like this)
network connect- yes
signal strength- fine
Ip address- fine
DCN- fine
Activation- Failed
This is the only negative I can find and the statement that the Apple TV has connected to the wifi but is not connected to the internet.
Where has it gone wrong for me. Please help

It is not properly connected to the network.
Make sure location is set correctly
DNS should be on auto (settings - general - network)
Try ethernet
Signal strength on device won't account for issues, you would need a network report from istumbler, netstumbler or similar. This will show accurate signal strength along with noise and nearby networks

Adobe Application Manager and other Installers All Messed up

I have a Mac Pro running 10.5.8 and CS5 Design Premium. Today I noticed 3 new updates: Bridge 4.0.2, Camera Raw 6.1, and a Flash thing. I ran the update using Adobe Application Manager (AAM). It failed on all three. I tried every way I could find to re-install AAM including
1. Deleting the PDApp folder under OOBE
2. Running the installer from a terminal window in silent mode
3. Running the original installer
Running the original installer starts AAM, which then crashes, and when I relaunch it, it looks for updates and doesn't return to dealing with the full install.
So, I have no idea what to do. I cannot reinstall CS5 or uninstall it. I cannot update anything, even by hand.
I am a fairly sophisticated OS X person, so I am not doing something stupid like not being connected to the net. It's a permissions or ownship thing.
Any suggestions would help.

Your problem is similar to mine.AAM and Deavtive are two central actors in this isssus. OOdude is right on Deactive Question is YES/NO to AAM. Two options with some trial and error. Follow the below-but...
AAM Runs??
1) Deactivate. Uninstall. Run the clean-up script**. Reboot. Reinstall. If you product key works, you’re good. Live long and be creative.
AAM not Running? ‘
2) Backtrack on the link I left earlier. Look it over. If that helps, follow it. Try running the clean-up script. Should pull the bad installation. Reboot and Reinstall. If your product key works, you should be good.
No luck? The sticking point is the fact that you were not able to deactivate. Tech support calls time. No matter how painfull, Adobe’s product key use database has you in its grips.
3) Tell Support “reinstall due to software problems and product key not working.” Adobe will give you codes to release your product key. " You can’t out horsepower this problem.

Word 2008 line spacing.. is single space and double space all messed up?

Very basic here: in print layout view (only one I am using) the single spacing and double spacing seem so far apart. Single spacing is way too far apart. Is anyone else seeing this?

That is the issue. I am hitting enter and getting a big space. I see a similar thing in Pages. All I know is tht in 2004 version, I start all my papers with 4 lines in top corner (name-enter/date-enter/assignment/class#-enter) I do these with single space just by default on Word.
THen I go to format-paragraph-double space, and do my writing--double spaced.
This is weird to me. I like word 2008, looks nice, notebook is cool. But I don't like having to re-learn that stuff. Is this how everybody does this? Everyone out of the box can not just type and choose single/double space? We have to edit some paragraph spacing? HUH?

Why are my photos and Camera App all messed up??

Since I upgraded to iOS 8 my photos and camera app seem all screwed up. I take sideways photos like I always do, and when I go to look at them on the phone, they look vertical or sideways. I can no longer scroll sideways through my photos, but have to do it vertical now...but not all the time. My photos are upside down at times, sideways, just never right. I have taken my pics the same way for years, now it seems the new iOS 8 just ruined everything. VERY angry with Apple now. I try to show people my photos and half are upside down and sideways. When I flip the phone, the pics flip too. I also do not use the volume button to take pics, always the button on the screen. What a joke.

I tried all the resets, nothing. I did a search and apparently others are having issues with the camera with iOS8. I have a bunch of videos now that I took of my daughter, wanted full screen so I took them horizontally like I always did, but when I look at them on my computer they are vertical and sideways. Half of my photos are upside down, sideways, and why do i now have to swipe up and down instead of side to side when I look at them? APple really screwed up with iOS8. Big time. it also ruined my **** iPad 2 since I had no idea until it was too late that it was too slow for the new iOS. Really done with Apple.

Photo order is all messed up with IOS 6. This used to work in IOS 5.

With IOS 6.0, the order in which photos are displayed on iphone and ipad is all messed up.
In iPhoto, you see them sorted by date taken. When you sync this with itunes and view them on ipad/iphone, they show up in the wrong order (sorted by date modified).
This used to work in IOS 5.0. Apple has changed something in IOS 6.0 and I hate it.

Same issue here. What i´ve realized is that the photos are only sorted wrong in event folders. Sorting is correct in the overall photo archive. This is really annoying.

Can not see my airport on the list of WiFi networks and is blinking orange all the time. Tried to reset several times.

Do you have a Mac or idevice for setting up the Express? It does require a later utility than is available for windows.
You might be able to setup with the v5 utility in windows but there is no guarantee.
You should use a simple name both for the base and the wireless. eg AEXgen2 base name and AEXwifi for wireless name.. that is if you get access.

Has the movie file been corrupted? Can I recover the rental even though the time has elapsed? Will I be charged?

Did you figure this out? I haven't rented a movie in this new iTunes yet and saw one tonight I wanted to rent. Same fricken thing is happening to me. I hate this new iTunes, and I really hate that there are problems like this....why the heck do they have to fix something that isn't broken and break it? This just really stinks.
