Network audit templates

Hi all
I am about to visit a site and need to perform a full network audit, switches, wireless, routers etc etc
Does anyone have a good template for this that they use?
cheers
Carl

Hello,
You may follow the below steps:
Step 1 Choose Configure > Scheduled Configuration Tasks.
Step 2 From the left sidebar menu, choose ConfigGroup.
Step 3 Select the group name of the applicable task.
Step 4 From the Config Groups page, click the Apply/Schedule tab.
Step 5 Make any necessary changes to the current schedule, and click Schedule.

    nondhasid,
If you are not modifying those records which are asking for a reason field to be filled, then it should be coming from the Late setup. Check the CLA setup.

  • What is "Network Audit" on the WCS ?

I see a scheduled task for "Network Audit" but its disabled and not exactly sure what it is suppose to do.
Any have more details on this?

I have the Base+Location version of WCS and it is disabled by default.
I have heard from other members that the Base only version has this enabled by default.
Since it does not make any changes, it only reports on mismatches between controllers and WCS, why would it be off by default?
I am having issues keeping my controllers in sync with the WCS, was hoping this would help.
    But I guess not

  • Network Audit

    Hi,
I am planning for Network audit
    Device: 7200 Router, 3845 router
    Switch: 2960,3750,4500,4900M
    ASA
I am mainly doing the audit on this perspective:
    Vulnerablities
    Perfomance
    Bittleneck
    Pls share some docuemnt/ppt/guidelines
    Br/Subhojit

    Hi,
there are many tools which you can use for doing the above task.
There is no generalized format or documents which you can find
if you want to do Vulernability Assessment:- Use Nipper Studio
If you want to do the Performance:- Use Manage Engine or Solar winds which usually works on SNMP based data collection.
Manageengine comes with IP SLA feature which test the SLA for the link and performance which can help you finding the Bottle neck.
    Please rate if helpful
    Thanks,

  • Network Architecture & performance audit

Would like to get some information on network performace audit & architecture audit. I need some help on review of existing architecture, finding current choke points and proposing better network. It can be also from the bandwidth perspective.
It would be great if anyone can throw light on following aspects,
    1. Tools used for doing a bandwidth audit and network audit
    2. Any good documentation availiable on internet , which could help me in above.(Talking about best practices)
    3. Any case studies on this front.
    4. The process followed for a network audit which has the checklists, questionare, format for the reports etc. (any sample reports)

for a cisco network, a good option would be the CiscoWorks IPM.

  • Report to check Standard WBS link to which standard network and activity

    Dear All,
Is there any way or standard report to check standard WBS (cj93) link to standard network/activity (CN03).
Normally we create project by using template existing, we would like to check the structure. Is there any way to check the standard template for it ( WBS template link to network/activity template).
    Thank you.
    Nies

    Hi,
    Please try this:
    1. Tcode : CN41
    2. Change database profile: In that in the origin check mark the Standard structure. Continue..
    3. At the bottom of the selection screen check mark the standard structures.
    4. In the selction area for the Project hit F4 and  select the project based on the standard WBS Element.
    5. Exceute the report.
    Hope this is useful.
    Reward points if found useful.
    thanks..

  • Possible in any way to change tcpackfrequency/tcpnodelay/other network settings in win 8.1?

As far as I've been able to find, pretty much everything has been locked down in windows 8+ regarding network settings (templates) in general which were earlier easily editable by either netsh or going into the registry.. unless you're running a server
version, which of course most aren't.
Why was this even done? Not like the normal user will accidently change these settings, for power users, as a gamer myself, I would like to tweak everything possible to get the lowest ping since this is one of the few things you can do on your own side that
affects it at least a decent amount, except for having a good router and whatnot. The larger part is up to being lucky with your isp.
So please make it possible to activate and edit the InternetCustom in normal setups.
If it's not possible to do this for whatever reason, please at least make a specific template for low ping desired setups as a gamer, like InternetGaming or similar.

    Hi,
I am afraid that this is designed by default considering the usage of this feature on Windows client.
    Thanks for your understanding.

  • Regarding Network Creation

    Dear All
In My Project i am having five levels of WBS for all WBS i am having activity. So here my question is for all activity i want to assign one standard network is it possible
    Thanks&Regards
    P.Srinivasan

    Hi,
Initially create a network for top level wbs element. (Select the top level wbs and double click network in templates. TC:CJ20n)
Then create required activities for that network. (Select the created network and double click activity in templates. TC:CJ20n)
Attach the created activities as per your requirement by dragging them from network to required wbs.
    Hope this solves your problem

We use a common shared secret key for 253 devices to use for TACACS authentication.  Unfortunately ACS 4.1 allows you to use the " character in this key but 5.2 doesn't.  Is there a way of changing  the  key in the 4.1 database for all 253 devices without having to manually change all devices individually?
I can change the AAA client's key with various tools no problem, but the issue is the key stored on the ACS database.
    Any help would be great!

    Just to update.
RDBMS syncronization using csv files is only available on 4.2 so I updated from 4.1 to 4.2.
Using the accountActions.csv file, I made a copy accountActions2.csv and used the action id 225 to dump the NAS database to a file DumpNAS.txt.
I then imported the relevant fields from DumpNAS.txt into a new file accountActions3.csv and used action ID 224 to update the NAS database.
The issue I had was that the Value 3 field "Vendor ID" I could not locate the corrent string to use.
In the end I used the 'File Operations' function in ACS 5.2 and used the network device template to load the devices into ACS 5.2 with the new shared secret.  The only thing missing from was Network Device Groups, which had to be created manually and then manually move each device into the relevant NDG.
This may prove useful for anyone having a similar problem.

  • Configuration Change Audit Report in Prime Infrastructure 2.1

Is there any plan to implement a Configuration Change Audit report in future releases of Prime Infrastructure (ie. 2.2)?  When I go into the Reporting area and run a Change Audit report under the Compliance section it doesn't give me any information in regards to configuration changes, only inventory changes.  There are managers who would like the ability to receive an e-mailed report of configuration changes within a 24 hours period.  Currently the only way I can tell that you can get this information is by logging into Cisco Prime and going to Network Audit under Operation / Device Work Center.
    Thanks,
    Brian

Configuration Change Management (with Baseline Compliance reporting) is projected for the next release after 2.2. As of now that's projected to be ca. April 2015.
On a side note, last I heard, 2.2 should be out in the next couple of weeks.

  • Security audit softw

    Hi All
Can somebody tell me wish are the 3 best security network audit software available in the market?
    attn
    Carlos

So something along the lines of Nessus (Tenable)?  It's probably one of the most well-reknown vulnerability scanners out there.  You can even combine something like that with something like RedSeal to evaluate potential exposure and more.
The following book may also prove valuable in terms of methodology and suggestions.  Chapter 4 in particular is centered around auditing tools and techniques:

  • Pages 5.5.1 - Sharing a Template

    Hi All,
We have four iMac's in our office and I need to share Pages (for Mac 5.5.1) templates. At the moment I create a template and then Airdrop it to the other three computers, open the template and save on to machine. Is there a faster / easier way?
With MS Word you could share global templates across a network - a template could be created or updated and then everyone on the network could access it. I can't event find where the Pages templates are stored?
    Any advice would be great.
    Thanks, Matt

You could create a locked stationery pad from the Finder Get Info panel:
Double-clicking on this file will open an editable copy in the same location. It's clunky, I know, and I don't know how well it would work on a server, if at all.
Pages saves its templates in a different format to its documents, and even if you save one to a shared location, which you can do when you originally Save as Template, double-clicking on it will simply prompt the user to add it to their own template library. AFAIK you can't manage Pages templates centrally.

I am using Cisco Prime Infra 2.0. I want to find the logs related to LWAP Templete. We have 4-5 templets created. few days back one templete has been modified and the templete was pushed to all the AP's.
So i need to know when,How and Who has modified  this templete.
I am trying to get logs from Admin-->Logging Page, But it has no info about this.
Please help me in getting this logs.
    Thanks in advance

    Hi,
    I found answer for this....
    Viewing Audit Logs
Prime Infrastructure provides two types of audit logs:
•Application Audit logs—Logs events that pertain to the Prime Infrastructure features. For example, you can view the application audit log to see when a particular user logged in and what actions were taken.
•Network Audit logs—Logs events related to the devices in your network. For example, you can view the network audit logs to see which user deployed a specific template and the date and time the template was deployed
Hope it should be helpful to u as'll

  • Oracle user?

    Hi,
New to oracle, and to the forum.
A product I'm installing (Visionael Network Audit) requires Oracle to be installed beforehand.
I've successfully installed Oracle. Firstly, I do not have any user other than the administrator on the Windows Server machine. Also I did not configure or change anything prior to the Oracle installation. If i've erred here can you point me to some summarised howto document for oracle installation.
If thats fine, next I'm having problem with an SQL script (to which I'm new as well)
    The script
    SQL> create tablespace visionael_tempspace
    2 datafile 'c:\oracle\visionael_tmp01' size 10 M
    3 autoextend on next 10M
    4 default storage (
    5 initial 50K
    6 next 50K
    7 minextents 1
    8 maxextents 121
    9 pctincrease 10
    10 ) temporary online;
    create tablespace visionael_tempspace
    ERROR at line 1:
ORA-12913: Cannot create dictionary managed tablespace
orak is the name of the databse I created.
Will appreciate any help, have a deadline to meet with this product installation.
    Thanks and Regards,
