Network Camera connection with Live encoder
Hi,
Is it possible to connect network camera with Flash Media Live Encoder rather than USB camera.
Thanx in advance.
Yes, you will be able to publish to FMS. Platform independence of FMS is not related to wrting the filter. Please keep following points in mind before writing the filter:
1. Writing the filter will simply list the network camera as a device on your system, so that FMLE can access it.
2. Your camera should provide raw frames (RGB, etc format) for FMLE to encode. Even after writing the filter you may not be able to capture and encode using FMLE if the camera doesn't provide raw frames.
Please let me know if things are still not clear.

How to export a PDF to a word document? at the moment it came up with "The encoding (CMap) specified by a font is missing ????? what can I do? thanks
Hi frenchiem,
This is due to the PDF file cannot display the original fonts. To fix it, creator should create the PDF file with the embed font option enabled. Thus, user can open the file on any platform with the same layout. Or the Acrobat product can display them after you install the appropriate font support package on the client side.

Cannot connect to local network while connected with EasyVPN
Hi All,
I'm looking on many forums for an answer, but I cannot get it working.
I have configured EasyVPN with CCP and also with CLI. I had it both working perfect, except the most important thing.
I can connect with the Cisco VPN client to the router, but i'm not able to connect or even ping a system inside the remote network. My laptop gets an IP address from the address pool of the router.
I really hope someone can help me before my manager is losing his patience :-)
Here is my config. (before someone is mentioning it, i have to clean up my config a bit...I mean, look at the acl's )

How do I network and connect with AirPort?
OK here is what is happening
through a Wired connection to my router i get to the internet fine
on ALL 5 of my computers
my MAC Mini and one Linux Laptop have wireless capeabilities and my Router is both Wired and Wireless
5 computers..............4 wired ports
So i now have a choice of haveing one pc pick up the internet wirelessly
either the Linux Laptop or the Mac Mini or Both
I come to this forum to ask how to configure the MAC Mini
I tried turning AirPort on but the MAC only sees the internet when i conect the Cat 5 cable to the 10/100 Ethernet slot
I also want to SHARE the connection with other PCS
here is my list of PCS
PC1--Mac Mini
PC2--Fedora Core 5 Linux Laptop
PC3--Fedora Core 5 Linux Desktop
PC4--Madriva 2006 Linux Desktop
PC 5--Windows ME Desktop
only PC 1 and PC 2 are capable of wireless
the Router is also wireless with 4 wired ports
(wireless G D-Link DI 624)
i am on Verizon Fios @ 15g so there is no modem nec.I tried turning AirPort on but the MAC only sees the internet when i conect the Cat 5 cable to the 10/100 Ethernet slot
Verify that AirPort is at the top of the connection list.
System Preferences > Network > Show > Network Port Configurations
I also want to SHARE the connection with other PCS
here is my list of PCS
For the devices that don't have wireless capability, just plug them into the router's available LAN ports. Those with can all share the router's wireless feature. -
I understand that by using a camera connecter, one can download pictures from a digital camera directly to an iPod. However, how can the pictures then be transferred to my iBook?
Ooops, look what i found!
"Transferring photos to your computer
Connect your iPod to your computer.
Open the application you normally use to transfer photos from your digital camera (see the documentation that came with your camera for more information). If you are using a Mac, you can use iPhoto or Image Capture to transfer photos.
Import your photos as usual." -

BT HomeHub wifi network dropping connection with my apple products
I have a BT Home Hub connected to the internet and use it to provide my home wi-fi network. To this I have connected iMac, Time capsule (by having it join existing network), airport express, apple Tv and cannon wireless printer)
Time machine backyps to timecapsule via wifi. However None of my devices seem to remain connected to the wifi for very long. If I open airport utility it states time capsule and airport express no longer connected to the network and only offer the option of forgetting device even though green light remains on time capsule and airport express. If I go into Home Hub settings via ip address on safari, it is showing that both are connected.
With regard to my apple TV that doesn't seem to be able to share the content on my iMac because of home sharing connectivity issues.
Finally my iMac seems unable to connect to my wifi printer over the network even thoough all seem to be connected to homeHub appropriately.
Can anyone help out with this? This setup is the worst possible.
You will always have issues with the TC .. it will be slow and unreliable because that is the nature of double hop wireless.
You MUST plug the TC into the HH by ethernet or using something like EOP adapters so the TC can work properly in bridge mode and create a wireless network. -
Flash Live Encoder Errors in with Intensity Extreme
Hello,
I'm successfully set up a FMS server in AWS and can stream a webcam properly. However, when I connected the Intensity Extreme device to stream audio/video from an external source, the stream keeps crashing. When I disable the audio, the stream works without issue.

Odbc connectivity with Data services 4.2
Hi guys
i have very general question to ask...
presently i have dataflow which has one source table connects to query transform and further query transform connects with target table.. query transform has no filter, no order, no group by ... it is simple select * from source table ......... company where the source tables resides have given us their odbc driver to connect and extract same data... but it takes very long time to copy at our end.. i admit that data is more than 100 million (takes more than 4 hrs) records.. but could you please help me to debug what can be done to increase the performance and how can i check why it takes very long time...
ODBC connection set up in administrative tools->ODBC application.. is there any other way to set up the odbc....
when i run same query on the tool provided by them to connect with LIVE system.. it takes half of the time taken by data services to copy..
I have tried changing the dataflow properties between in-memory/ pageable with degree of parallelism.
what can i check on my end if anything wrong going at my end... before i tell anything to source company to see...
I would be very greatful if anyone can help me to understand same.
regardsHi,
If your database is SQL server, install a SQL native client on the DS machine to connect to the DB. You don't need a ODBC for connection of DS with DB.
Check this, assuming your DB is SQL.
Can Data Services 4.1 Datastore connect to 32-bit MSSQL 2005 DB?

Using Flash Media Live Encoder with a camera without FireWire
Hi,
Right now we have beeing using an old DV tape based camera connected to Flash Media Live Encoder via FireWire for live streaming.
We are looking at getting either an Sony AX2000 or HXR-NX5U camera as they are flash based. Unfortunately, they don't have FireWire ports.I image that I would not be able to stream via USB, but I'm not sure if anyone is familar with either of these cameras.
Does anyone know of any posisble way (ideally without new equipment) that this would work?
Ports on the HXR-NX5U
Audio Out RCA type (CH-1, CH-2)
Component Out RCA type (x3) via A/V multi connector
Composite Video Out RCA type (x1)
S-Video Out N/A (optional VMC-15FS is required.)
SDI Out BNC (x1)
HD-SDI/SD-SDI selectable
USB Mini-B (x1)
Thank you for your help!Hi there,
You may be able to take the RCA connection out of the new camera and put it in to your old DV camera if it has the avaliable inputs?
Also, USB is sometimes used for video so I woul have a look around for some info about it with your camera.
failing that your best bet would be to either buy a cheap Aanlog to Digital Concerter (ADC) that takes in composite and firewire on the RCAs. this woul mean that you are using the lowest quality and resolution that is avaliabe to you though!
You could stump up of an SDI or HDSDI input from the likes of AJA or Blackmagic. this would also give you the digitised XLR audio inputs
Hope this helps!

Can a Panasonic HD Camera be used with Adobe Flash Media Live Encoder 3.2
Can a Panasonic HD Camera be used with Adobe Flash Media Live Encoder 3.2 instead of my Laptop webcam.
yes it can but you need an in/out device to "link" the HDMI output from your HD camera to your computer via, USB or firewire
BlacMagic sell those, Matrox and AJA are some of the other brands on the market. -
Getting Adobe Flash Media Live Encoder work with Windows 8.1 on a GT72-2QD
Has anyone ever used Adobe Flash Media Encoder 3.1 or 3.2 to stream live under Windows 8.1? I can't get it detect an audio device with Windows 8.1 x64 on an MSI GT72-2QD laptop. I tried 2 different webcams but the result was the same. Both the internal mic and the ones going with the webcams work fine with other software but when I try FMLE it looks as follows:
It says that there's no audio device connected (although the mics work fine elsewhere), the source select dropout is blank and the audio parameters are grayed out and inactive even with the "audio" box checked. Both versions of FMLE work fine with the same cams on a desktop which has all the same tech specs but uses Win 7 x64. Running FMLE in Win7 compatibility mode or reinstalling with register cleaning doesn't help. I believe FMLE is getting in conflict either with the Windows 8.1 or with some of the preinstalled software (I haven't installed any programs yet other than the ones that came preinstalled with the laptop and uninstalled the Gamecaster prior to installing Adobe Encoder). What can be done about it other than downgrading to Win7?Has anyone ever used Adobe Flash Media Encoder 3.1 or 3.2 to stream live under Windows 8.1? My iPhone was working fine yesterday and then showed a grey screen with the message 'ios6'. When I tried to use the phone it came up with the error message 'connect to iTunes'. When I got home from work I did this, at first iTunes could not detect the device and then it suggested a system restore. Once the restore had completed I selected the language, country/region and then came back to the same error message 'connect to iTunes'. When I tried to connect the device iTunes could not detect it and stated that there was a problem with the device.
I have telephoned my network provider to request a replacement device on my insurance but they have said they cannot authorise until I have had the fault diagnosed my Apple. Only problem is there are no genius appointments free until Friday!
Any help would be massively appreciated! We're not Apple. Se can not magically make a genius appointment available for you.

Can you print from an iPad 2 using 3G in a home with no other computer or wifi by using an iPhone 5 hot spot connection if the printer has been set up in another place with live wifi? I know this question is loaded but my dad lives in a rural area and is wanting a printer to use occasionally. He doesn't want to deal with a computer and I keep his iPad updated for him at my home. Please shed some light on this for us PLEASE. Thanks
In that case, it should be possible. I haven't tried this directly, but I believe it should work.
You'll need to get an actual AirPrint compatible Printer.
Check here for a list of Printers you can choose from.
http://support.apple.com/kb/ht4356
Once you have the compatible printer, using the Hotspot feature from the iPhone he'll have to create the Wifi bubble form the iPhone, and connect the Printer to that Wifi network.
Then connect the iPad to that same Wifi network provided by the iPhone. When all that is done, the printer should appear in any of the Apps that can Print under the Action Arrow button.
For instance in email, pressing the action arrow should show a Print option. In there the printer should appear.
Alternatively you can simply buy a wireless router and setup the network through there even if there is no internet attached. Connect the wireless printer to the router network, and connect the iPad or iPhone to that same wifi network to print. -
Problems with Adobe Flash Media Live Encoder 3.1
Hello I use a version of Adobe Flash Media Encoder (3.1)
Recently doing a recording, we had the following problem.
After the recording lasted for 1 hour at 1:30 minutes, the generated video produced only 30 minutes!
Checking the video appears in the log as complete and the right length, but the final video has only 30 minutes.
Can someone help us?
Thank you
LOG - From the recording - the recording of which I speak is from 19:30

Did you ever get this to work? I have been using, with a qualified degree of success, taking the HDMI output from a Canon Vixia HV30, to an AverMedia Game Boradcaster C127 to FMLE.
The qualification is: When the card is installed on an ITX board (GigaByte Z-77), in the single PCI-e slot, yes. In fact, I'm using it weekly now on my show.
Now, if I put the same card on an Asus Z77 Maxiumus Gene board, with or without an installed video card (GTX 660), and regardless of the positioning of the C127 in the first long PCI-e slot and the GTX 660 in the next one over, or pin the PCI-4 slot, I get "No Signal AverMedia" on the screen. Then I put it back on the ITX board (I5-2300 on there and 8GB RAM, using HDMI or DVI vidoe for the local monitor), the card then works properly.
I made sure I had the DirectShow codecs installed...and it didn't work on the larger board (plan was to be able to handle two capture cards like this in one "box" and still have a GPU in the main slot to help processing.
Any feedback appreciated.
