Network Cleints & Workstations installed with Win8 64bit or Win7 64 bit or 32bit

How do I get a normal computer? I purchased the notebook for home, legal litigation use.
Second Asus G75VX Win8 64bit retail purchase configured as a Publicly Managed Network Domain Shared Lanman Server Workstation in User Mode. Highest Administrative authority belonging to the network administrators. I am a User on my own personal notebook
computer with some administrative rights granted to me by the network administrators. Notebook is degraded from manufacture specifications. I purchased Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit and 32bit retail disk GSP1RMCHPXFRER_EN_DVD to see if that would solve the
problem and it was configured the same after install. The bios version on my Asus G75VX is American Megatrends version 206, V Bios version 80.04.97.00.13.N62G75500, EC version B14E140001. The operating system version is not the same as the install disk. The
boot configuration is; American Megatrends Bios Aptio Setup Utility installed. :\\?|GLOBALROOT\Device|HarddiskVolume1\EFI\Microsoft\Boot\BCD.Backup.0001 Software build after install is Buildlab 7601.Win7Sp1_rtm.101119-1850 Client install BuildlabEx 7601.17514.amd64Fre.Win7Sp1_rtm.101119-1850,
CSD Build Number 1130, Product ID 00 359-112-0000007-85245, Product ID 55034-112-0000007-05640. System Reserved Partition Volume X:\{F750E6C3-38EE-11D1-85E5-00C04FC295EE} MININT-F26UD4N. Link to 170MB .reg file in text format
http://1drv.ms/1m9RXL7 Also purchased and returned Samsung Chronos i7 Win8 64bit with the same configuration. I also had purchased an Asus netbook that I upgraded to Win7 Home Premium. All of the computers were registered
with their manufactures. I have had the G75VX since around may 2013 and have not been able to use it. I paid over $1350.00 at Best Buy for it and $216.00 for the Microsoft Win7 Home Premium 64bit and 32 bit DVD at Fry's. I am also legally disable and a pro
se litigator in the United States Federal Court. As you will see from the linked files. The computer went back to the Asus Service Center and repairs done on hardware and not software even though I had not discussed any actual hardware problem with the notebook
other than it as a whole.

  • Install CS4 from disk on Win7 64-bit

I'm trying to find help on installing Photoshop CS4 on a Win7 64-bit computer. The DVD appears to have the 32-bit version and I've tried having Windows install it as Vista as well as WinXP, but it doesn't work. It just provides an error and tells me to contact support. I'm guessing this is under the CC area, but I can't find a DVD area!

copy your installation files to your desktop and try to install from there.
if that fails download the installation files,

  • HP Officejet Pro 8620 (Wireless Network) will not install on Win8. 1

Today I received my new HP Officejet 8620 PRO printer. I have setup Wireless Network access, and installed the Driver successfully on my Windows 7 Ultimate 64 Bit PC, and tried to do the same on my Acer Win8.1 Laptop. During the installation, it finds the Printer on the network at the correct IP Address (192.168.178.48) and goes as far as a dialog showing "Network Printer Installation" with a Green progress bar cycling but never progressing ... I have left it be for over 45 minutes, and have tried to cancel the installation, with the same problem. Now the setup is jammed, and cannot progress. Suggestions please!!! Not sure what more relevant information is required ... so I'm open to questions ... which I'll try and answer ... or (preferably) suggestions on how to fix this. Many Thanks for your anticipated support.  p.s. HP ... I find it ridiculous that I can buy a brand new printer and yet have to revert to Public Forums to beg help! (or pay an exhorbent extra fee to get telephone support)

I would suggest cancelling the installation and then download the diagnostics at http://www.hp.com/go/tools.  The tools there may help diagnose system issues, if nothing is found I would suggest running the driver wizard. Depending on your country the warranty would typically be one year from date of purchase.  Likely if you were charged (or an attempt made to charge you) for support on a new printer you were not contacting HP.  Unfortunately an internet search for "HP Support" will turn up a number of locations that may pretend to be HP but are not.  The diagnosis there is typically "you have malware or a virus, we can fix that but it will cost $149" (or perhaps $349 for a lifetime).  I once gave one of these folks access to a dummy test machine, after an hour accessing my system and suggesting various fixes I made it clear that I would not be buying anything from them.  At this point they attempted to encrypt my system drive (after warning me that if I did not buy their product my system would likely be unusable).  Fortunately the system was set up to require an admin password to install programs or do "bad" things.... If you need to contact HP start at the link here: http://www.hp.com/contacthp/

  • 'Source play' and 'audio-video sync' problems with PE8 on fast WIN7 64 bit computer

I am transferring Hi8 videos, about 2 hours long, to my WIN7 64 bit computer with PE8.  [Dell Mobile Precision M4400 Computer Workstation (Intel Core 2 Duo T9900 500GB/4GB); NVIDIA Quadro FX 770M, 512MB] I seem to have several problems:
First, after importing the file (.avi), I get a message about ‘dropped frames.’
Secondly, when I try to play the video in the source monitor, the audio plays but the video doesn’t; it only shows the first frame [this is after waiting until the video is ?recognized? ]   I can use the shift-arrow key and see that the video is there.
Thirdly, I can play the .avi file in other players, e.g., avidemux or PE pro CS5 on another computer.  There, I see that the audio and video are not in sync; the audio can be up to 300 ms ahead of the video (as determined using avidemux).
    Questions:
    1.  Why doesn’t the source monitor play the video? Is this a problem with PE8 (latest update as of 3 March 2011) on aWIN7 64 bit computer (intel duo core. 3 GHz).
    2. Is the audio-video sync problem the result of the ‘dropped frames?’ How can PE8 correct this? Avoid this? Or, is it coincidence?

"I think you're telling me you're using a backwards compatible Digital8  camcorder to capture your video as DV-AVIs. Is that right?" YES
"Are you using  Premiere Elements to do this capturing?" YES, AS ABOVE PE8
"Go to the File menu and select Properties. It should show a standard DV codec being used for your video and audio."
WMP v12 is dumb. Under properties, media, it says 'video.'  However, avidemux gave me the information state above: video -- Codec 4CC: dvsd, frame rate: 29.971 fps; audio -- codec: PCM, channels: Stereo, frequency: 48 kHz.
    So, back to the Questions:

  • Jabber 9.1.2 missing DLL's with Win8 64bit and WebEx Connect

I realize that Windows 8 is not yet listed as supported operating system for Cisco Jabber for Windows, but I would like to make it work anyway I am trying to use Cisco Jabber for Windows 9.1.2 on Windows 8 with WebEx Connect. I am able to log in and IM just fine, but when I attempt to launch an Instant WebEx Meeting the first time, I receive the error
"WebEx Meeting is unavailable. Unable to connect to WebEx meeting server. Please try again later."
However, for any subsequent attempt to launch an Instant WebEx Meeting, I receive three errors in this order:
    1) The program can't start because atWbxUI14.DLL is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem.
    2) The program can't start because ATKBCTL.DLL is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem.
    3) WebEx Meeting is unavailable. Unable to connect to WebEx meeting server. Please try again later.
In both cases (fresh install and subsequent attempts) I receive an email letting me know that my meeting is in progress. So, I know that it has connected to meeting center and set up the meeting. It just can't seem to launch the WebEx interface. I have no problems launching WebEx by any other method that I have tried (e.g., Productivity Tools, from a browser, or if I uninstall Jabber and install the WebEx Connect client).
    Has anyone seen this one?

I had actually tried that already, but just for kicks I did it again. Webex Connect was not installed. I uninstalled anything that had the word webex in it. I uninstalled Cisco Jabber. I went through C:\ProgramData and C:\Users\[username]\AppData\, and I deleted anything that had the words Webex or Jabber. I rebooted the computer, I installed Cisco Jabber. I rebooted the computer again before starting the application. Then I went into meetings and clicked "Instant WebEx Meeting." It gets to the point where it is installing the webex plugin. Once the WebEx plugin installion completes, I get the same error as before.
Since Windows 8 is not listed as a fully supported operating system for Cisco Jabber for Windows, I suppose this kind of thing is to be expected. I was just hoping that maybe someone had found a work around.

  • Installing iTunes 10 on new Win7 64 bit laptop

I have downloaded iTunes for 64bit Win7 and when i try to install I get an immediate response that this is not a "win32 application". Ok i'm game so i download the 32 bit version thinking that i've made a blue and perhaps my OS isn't 64bit after all. Of course it doesn't work either suggesting i get the 64 bit version.
Anyone else had this similar issue and resolved it satisfactorily.
Have Zone Alarm firewall operating if that makes any difference.

Yes a lot of people in Australia are seeing this, esp with those USB dongles for internet access.
Something is wrong with its setting? the PC? and the file gets corrupted on the download.
    Older thread about it:
    http://discussions.apple.com/message.jspa?messageID=11461015#11461015
You can try kat476's method at the end of that topic:
clearing my browsing history, temp files and existing apple file.
Zone Alarm, as far as I know, doesn't block the download, but it can definitely block a proper installation. Download the itunesSetup64.exe, and temporaily turn off ZA while installing.

  • Trouble installing AIR 2.7 on Win7 64-bit

Somehow air was uninstalled from my system.  I downloaded 2.7 and have been trying to install it and am getting the following error:
"Sorry, an error has occurred.  An error occurred while installing Adobe AIR.  Installation may not be allowed by your administrator.  Please contact your administrator."
Unfortunately, this is my personal computer, I am an administrator and I can't see any settings that should be preventing me from installing this.  I need to update another software that is dependent on AIR and that can't complete because I can't complete my AIR install.
I've tried running it from both my main user profile, as well as another administrator profile I have set up.  There is no log created when I run it from my profile, but there is from the other admin profile.
    Please help.

  • Error installing Acrobat 9 Prof on Win7  64-bit

I bought a new HP laptop and loaded the other components of Creative Suite 4 Design Premium (Win 7  64 bit) with no issues.
I then tried to install Acrobat 9 Professional (several times) and keep getting error messages saying that one or more components dd not load correctly.
My antivirus was turned off and I rebooted after the first failed attempt. The 2nd attempt had the same results.
I've seen others with the same issue while trying to load Acrobat 9 Prof.
What is the "fix" to get this on my new laptop?
    Thanks

Bill@VT I believe you are referring to the need for the CS applications to provide their licensing information so that Acrobat can be licensed as well.  This needs to occur before Acrobat is launched for the first time but does not affect the install order.
Mike Sz01 were the remaining applications for CS4 able to be installed successfully?  You can review the installation logs for error messages by following the steps listed in Troubleshoot installation with install logs | CS3, CS4 - http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/troubleshoot-installation-install-logs-cs3.html.

  • Installed itunes 10.5 on win7, 64 bit - Where is Movies folder!

Under the Library, I have the following folders:
Music, Films, tv programmes, books, apps, radio.
All the screen shots and discussions on here suggest I should have Movies...?
Dragging mp4s etc (all of which were synced fine to ipad and ipad2 on previous itunes version) into Films has no effect.  When Films is selected it just has the page offering a tutorial.
    Help!

Changing the localization option simply changes the labels and folders iTunes will use for new content. Existing connect properly connected to the library should remain connected. If you've got files that are missing in action, ie. display with an exclamation mark, then they need to be relinked to the library before they can be transferred to your devices.
The default location for a Movie or TV Show also varies according to whether or not the library is in the new "iTunes Media Organisation" layout. Movies used to be lumped into a single folder, but now each get their own. I have a script called FindTracks that can search a media folder in either new or old layout and attempts to reconnect missing items. It currently assumes the US naming for Movies and TV Shows, though I guess I could tweak it for the alternate names if it would be useful. How many files are you trying to reconnect?

  • X230t usb3.0 failure with win8 pro x64

I have x230t with win8 64bit. However, somehow both usb3.0 ports cannot identify any usb3.0 device but can identify and install usb2.0 devices. In the device management, it shows Intel  usb 3.0 eXternsible Host Controller - 0100(Microsoft), the driver version: 6.2.9200.16628. I uninstall it several times and restart the laptop, it still dos not work. Can any one provide a comprehensive solution to this issue? (I remember a period ago, it works fine with 3.0 devices) thanks for help.

It also has usb3.0 driver compatibility issue. I tied to install usb3.0 again, it pops up a window showing there is a compatibility issue with Intel usb3.0 extensible usb controller driver. and when I download the driver from intel website, it shows that the system does not meet the minimum required for the installation. Can any solve this issue? thanks.

  • IS FM9 Compatible with WinXP 64bit OS

    Thanks

Several postings on this forum from folks who are having a problem with Acrobat settings using Win7/64-bit, but nobody much has mentioned XP/64-bit for quite a while, at least that I recall.

  • Oracle VM Server 2.2.0 V18336-01 for x86-64bit is actually 32 bit!!

Please note that the Oracle VM Server 2.2.0      V18336-01 download searched with x86-64bit is actually 32 bit. After install, simply do a "uname -a" and it will confirm this.
As a result, if you try to use a x86-64 bit template for a guest, it will fail with 'Out of memory', "xc_dom_boot_mem_init: can't allocate low memory for domain\n" error message. Using a 32 bit template worked fine.
Looks like the iso image was incorrectly generated. Oracle should fix this distribution.

Actually, it's not. uname -a is running in Dom0 which is always 32-bit. However, the hypervisor itself is (if your hardware supports it) 64-bit. The installer automatically detects what kind of hardware it's running on and selects the most appropriate hypervisor to load. You can check the capabilities of your system by running:
    # xm info You can also look at the screen that is presented with the login prompt. It should tell you which hypervisor is being used.

  • Vmware workstation 6.5.3 64bit Install problems

I'm having trouble installing the official Vmware Workstation 6.5.3 64bit bundle from vmware.com. The install always hangs at the Vmware Player configuration.
I've tried both the graphical install, using:
    kdesu sh VMware-Workstation-6.5.3-185404.x86_64.bundle
    and from the command line:
    # sh VMware-Workstation-6.5.3-185404.x86_64.bundle --custom --console
I see no error messages, and the installers stop at the same place in both instances (configuring Vmware Player). The command line version reports the install to stop at 62%. I've left the install run while I was at work (all day), and nothing changed.
When I kill the installer using xkill or killall, I am able to use Player (although I can't run any vms in it), but workstation itself is not installed (I have no /usr/bin/vmware binary).
    Any help would be appreciated.
I'm using kernel 2.6.30-ARCH. I cannot patch the modules because the install does not complete, before you ask.
    Thank you.
