Here is what I have done...I have zipped up and attached below under Attachments, the raw smbus controller driver files for you to unzip and manually install.
Download and unzip the file.
Go to the device manager and click on the smbus controller needing drivers. Click on the driver tab. Click on Update Driver.
Select the Browse my computer for driver software option and browse to the driver folder that you unzipped.
Make sure the Include Subfolders box is checked and the driver should install. Then reboot.

Need network controller driver.
I need a network controller driver for my laptop as the wifi is not working at the moment. The only thing with a yellow exlimation mark in the device manager under other devices tab is the network controller. the hardware id's are as follow:PCI\VEN_168C&DEV_0036&SUBSYS_064211AD&REV_01
PCI\VEN_168C&DEV_0036&SUBSYS_064211AD
PCI\VEN_168C&DEV_0036&CC_028000
PCI\VEN_168C&DEV_0036&CC_0280The first both devices: Ethernet and Network controller are LAN and Wlan card.
If you want to know more details about these devices, I recommend you to check this Toshiba document:
[How to identify an unknown device |http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/HTD0302U00000R01.htm]
In such case it should not be a big problem to get the right driver.

Probems with msi 875p neo Fis2r and network controller driver
Hi guys just wondering if anyone could help me with my msi 875p neo FIS2R and problems with the network controller driver/network card.
I'm running xp on a computer my nextdoor neighbour gave me. I got it working fine with service pack 3 installed but then installed a bunch of windows updates last night and the computer would switch itself off before windows could start. Now I reinstalled xp and unfortunately it does not recognise the network controller/card at all now. I tried installing the intel network controller drivers but it stopped because it said no intel adapter/card was installed/present. Could anyone please help with suggestions? I tried running everest and under newtwork it doesnt list intel network adapters but I'm pretty certain it is. Again any suggestions?

No network controller driver for Portege R500 (Windows XP)
Hello
I don't quite understand why Toshiba does not provide the necessary drivers to make a new Portege R500 WLAN work. I have absolutely no wireless networking capability, as if the switch was turned off, and I have a yellow question mark in the Windows Device Manager ("Other devices", "Network Controller"). Windows does not find a driver on the two restoration CDs and trying to install everything from http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/wlan/?page=downloads doesn't help neither.
Has anybody managed to find drivers to correct this "Network Controller" problem for an R500 under Windows XP? Maybe my unit has a hardware defect, because I can't believe that WLAN support for XP is not provided out of the box or at the very least by downloading files on the Toshiba support site
Thank you
OlivierHello
Reading your posting one thing is strange for me. Can you please explain to me what you mean with: Windows does not find a driver on the two restoration CDs.???
As far as I know restoration CD/DVD is not a kind of driver collection but recovery image that you can use for clean operating system installation. Can you please tell me which restoration (recovery) CDs you have? Are both of them for one operating system or you got one for Vista and other for WXP.
I have checked Toshiba support page and there is listed WLAN driver version 11.5.0.32 / 9.0.4.37. Download it and unzip the driver files and before you start installation check readme.txt file at first.
By the way, for WXP installation please use Installations Instructions document and follow listed installations order. -
Tecra S1: network controller driver XP
I recently isntalled XP on my S1. I found the driver from the networkcard but I can't find the driver for the networkcontroller. This is also no category on de download driver page. Who can help me ??
ThanksOk,
in this case Network Controller and LAN Card for sure is the same. However there are most certainly 2 LAN-Cards (Network controllers or NIC's or whatever it might be called) in the machine. 1 Wireless LAN and 1 wired LAN.
You will find all the drivers on the Toshiba Europe Website.
Please take really care in what order You install the drivers because it is really important!
Here is the list and the order in which to install:
Intel Chipset Driver
Display Driver
Sound Driver
Toshiba Modem Driver
Infrared Driver
Touch Pad Driver
ENE SD Host Controller Driver - ENE SD Memory Card Reader Driver
Toshiba Bluetooth Stack
Toshiba Bluetooth Easy Connect
Toshiba Fast Ether LAN Driver
Atheros Wireless Lan Driver
Atheros Client Utility
Wireless Network Driver <- NOTE!! You have to figure out which card You have, but if Your machine says Intel Centrino when starting up, then You have the Intel Wireless card.
Toshiba Hotkey for Display Devices
Toshiba Power Saver
Toshiba Utilities
Toshiba Mobile Extension
Toshiba Console
Toshiba Dual Pointing Device Utility
Config Free
Toshiba Management Console
InterVideo WinDVD
Drag n Drop
DVD RAM Driver Software
Toshiba User`s Manual
Toshiba Skin for Media Player

Network controller driver x64 d004tu
Dear Sir/Ma'am,
I am using Windows 7 Home Premium on my laptop and I am currently not able to connect to the internet.
I looked up the Device Manager and I found that the drivers for Network Controller is missing.
Where can I find the drivers?
Thanks for the help.
Best Regards,
Chetan.
This question was solved.
View Solution.Hi:
I don't know what model wireless card your model uses, so please do the following steps and I will figure that out and see if I can find the correct driver you need.
Since there is no wireless driver installed, there should be a device labeled Network Controller in the device manager under an Other Devices category. The network controller device will have a little ! mark next to it.
So, find the network controller device, click on that and then click on the Details tab.
Now you see a Property drop down list and it is defaulted to Device Description.
Drop down on that list and select the third item (Hardware ID's).
Post the top string of characters you see in the window. -
Network Controller Driver not found, hp proBook 4530s, Windows 7
I am using a notebook (proBook 4530s), with Windows 7, 64-bit, and in the device manager I get a yellow exclamation mark in Network controller even after downloading and installing the respective driver Atheros / Realtek Wireless LAN Driver(s). Portege R100 - Network Controller Driver
I've just installed windows7 business version on this laptop and I've got a Code 28 message in the Device Manager/Network Controller/General/Device Status window.
It can't find an appropriate driver.
I'll obviously need to instal via a CD or floppy as I can't currently access the network or the internet via that laptop.
But can someone give me the url of an appropriate driver.
Thanks
RobHi
I think it could be a little bit difficult to find an Ethernet controller driver for Portege R100. The point is that this pretty old notebook supports only up to Windows XP according the Toshiba European driver download page.
So you have to search on external websites for drivers. The most Vista drivers are also work on Windows 7 so you should look for Vista drivers.
What Ethernet controller you have?
If its a Realtek for example, you can search on the Realtek website: [www.realtek.com]
Or e. g. Intel => [www.intel.com] -

Network Controller driver for T42p not working
We have a T42p (type 2373-HTU) that had a new copy of WinXP Pro installed on it, wired network is working but wireless is NOT working.
In Device Manager, the network adaptor is showing up as working and it is (Intel PRO/1000 MT Mobile Connection) working fine on a wired connection. The Bluetooth works when you Fn-F5 it on. My problem is that the Network Controller has the infamous yellow question mark on it and I have been through every single driver on the Lenova site for this particular laptop (2373-HTU) and none of them work. I did follow the install instructions and still have the same problem. I assume this is why the wireless networking is not working. I do have an icon in Control Panel for Wireless Network setup wizard. There is no off/on switch for wireless on this model. I have been in the BIOS and there is no way to turn wireless off/on in there either. As far as I know ... this particular model does have a wireless card installed.Welcome to the forum! These were the original specs of your T42p:
P M 745, 1GB RAM, 60GB 7200rpm HDD, 15 UXGA(1600x1200) TFT LCD, 128MB ATI FireGL T2, CD-RW/DVD-R Multi-Burner(slim), Intel 802.11b wireless, Bluetooth/Modem, 1Gb Ether, UltraNav, Sec Chip, 9 cell Li-Ion Batt, WinXP Pro
The driver, presuming you're running XP:
http://download.lenovo.com/ibmdl/pub/pc/pccbbs/mobiles/1rwc89ww.exe
After downloading and extracting the driver, you must go into C>Drivers>Win>Wlanint and run the setup file from there.
Quite a few users have reported issues with Intel 2100B card under XP SP3. You may want to consider getting a newer card, they are quite inexpensive nowadays.
Good luck and keep us posted.
Cheers,
George
