Network error code 0x80070035

Hello
I have router Siemens SE555 with USB File server enabled and i have one disk connecetd on it. On Windows 7 when I wont to access to disk I get massage Windows cannot acecess \\NetworkDisk. I also have one PC with Windows Vista Business and one with Windows XP and both off them can access to that disk.
I get code: Error code: 0X80070035 The network path was not found.
Please if anyone can tell me what to do?
Thanks

Since you are able to see and access Computer 2 from Computer 1 and unable to see computer 2 from computer 1. I would suggest you to first check with both the computer if the Network discovery is turned on both the computer.
To turn on network discovery
1.Open Advanced sharing settings by clicking the Start button, and then clicking Control Panel. In the search box, type network, click Network and Sharing Center, and then, in the left pane, click Change advanced sharing settings.
2.Click the chevron to expand the current network profile.
3.If network discovery is off, under Network discovery, click Turn on network discovery, and then click save changes. If you're prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
Also you may access the link and follow the steps and check if it helps to see the computer 2.
http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows7/Why-can-t-I-connect-to-other-computers
Also you may verify if you can access computer 2 from computer 1 by opening with the run command and typing the IP address of computer 2.
To do this, follow the steps in computer 1.
1. Click on Start
2. In the start search box type \\ipaddress\ of the computer 2 and press enter eg: \\192.168.0.2\
Check if this opens and connects to Computer 2 in the network.
Also you may try to boot both the computer in safe mode with networking and see if they are able to see each other.  To boot to the desktop in safe mode with networking keep tapping F8 key during restart. Once you see the option to boot in safe mode with
networking select it and press enter.
Access the link to know more about how to boot the computer in safe mode:

  • Error code: 0x80070035 The network path was not found

"Error code: 0x80070035 The network path was not found" while trying to access another PC running Windows 7 Ultimate I searched and read dozens of similiar posts to try to resolve this issue with no success.
The situation is, I have a router in home with 4 PC's connected. My central PC is running Windows 7 Ultimate. The others are Windows 7 Ultimate again, and 2 running XP Pro. No special Firewalls, just have Windows Firewall enabled on all PC's, and am running KasperskyInternetSecurity2010 on all. (Have disabled these on all PC's and tried to view/connect and it didnt make a difference, same error)
Fact one: not attempting a Homegroup connection at all, just simply wishing to connect in a basic network environment where I can drag and drop files between all PC's in my Home Network or in my house , however its considered. But on the Windows 7 I am unable to view either of the XP's only the other Win7, and when I try to access that one is when I get the "Error code: 0x80070035 The network path was not found".
Furthermore, while troubleshooting the problem I opened a Command Prompt in all computers, then an "ipconfig" to view each ip address. Then began to ping each machine to determin connectivity. Which resulted in partial success. My main Win7 machine (which i am on now) was able to ping successfully to all machines. But all other machines were unable to ping to me (main Win7). with a 100% loss.
So at least I determined this is most likely a helpful fact in resolving this. Going into "services.msc" I made sure that all the obvious services are started and running:
DCHP Client, Homegroup Listener, Homegroup Provider, Link-Layer Topology Discovery Mapper, NetTcp Port SHaring Service, Network Connections, Network List Service, Network Location Awareness, TCP/IP NetBIOS Helper
All strarted and running in Automactic mode.
Not sure what other information I can give at this point, to help assist in fixing this problem. Please dont hesitate to ask for me for more info if needed. Ready and willing to try anything to get this working, except for reinstalling the OS. All my programs work great and do not wish to go through the drama ao reinstalling all my programs and activating them and redoing all my Adobe settings and CAD settings.
    Someone please help !

    Hi,
In addition, I would like to suggest the following:
    Enable NetBIOS over TCP/IP:
    1.    Go to “Control Panel\Network and Internet\Network Connections”.
    2.    Right-Click on the connection and choose Properties.
    3.    Click “Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) Version 4” in the list.
    4.    Click Properties, and then click Advanced.
    5.    On the Advanced TCP/IP settings windows, go to “WINS” tab.
    6.    Under NetBIOS setting, click “Enable NetBIOS over TCP/IP”, and then click OK.
    Thanks.

  • Error Code 0x80070035 - The network path was not found, Windows Server 2008 SP2

I have bee receiving following "error code 0x80070035 - The network path was not found" when trying to open file shares in both directions using Windows Server 2008 Standard SP2 at both ends. The issue is identical to the KB article KB958285, however the hotfix is only valid up to but not including SP2. One of the servers in question has moved several times between 2 subnets seperated by a VPN. I have tried changing settings in and around the local NIC/DNS Suffix and in the network connection sharing centre, but with no luck. Firewalls are turned off at both sites, and pings and AD queries are successful (one server is a DC). DNS is also working correctly at both sites. Any help/suggestions would be appreciated.
    Richard

I thought I would add in another scenario, since this link came to the top of my list in the search engine.
We are running 2008 R2 with SP1 (it happened without SP1 as well)
We could not map using UNC (IP, FQDN, or netbios name).  We could ping access the other servers via other utils like event viewer and services.msc but just could not map.
In our case it turned out to be a VMWARE issue but we still had to make a regedit change first
You have to go to regedit HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\NetworkProvider\Order\
    And add LanmanWorkstation to Providerorder
I found on a Citrix board that citrix has an issue with this as well
If you're running VM  here is an additional step you should do as well
When you upgrade VMware Tools installed with HGFS from ESX 3.x to ESX 4.x, the HGFS driver may not get uninstalled properly. In this case, the virtual machine's network Provider Order tab in Network Connections
    > Advanced > Advanced Settings displays incorrect information and the virtual machine may lose network connectivity.
To avoid this issue, uninstall VMware Tools 3.x before installing VMware Tools 4.x.
To workaround this issue, if you have already upgraded VMware Tools:
    Click Start >
Run, type regedit, and click OK. The Registry Editor window opens.
    Navigate to
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\NetworkProvider\Order\.
    Delete the reference to
    hgfs.
    Reboot the virtual machine.
We found that if you strip out the HGFS, you do not have to reboot for the provider order tab to come back
I hope that this saves people a lot of time.   I spent days researching this.
This was the solution for me on 2008 R2 DC w/ Exchange.  I do not have VMWare installed but do have Hyper-V.  Thank you so much!

  • Error code 0x80070035 on drive maps in GPO, "Network path cannot be found".

I am trying to apply a GPO that maps drives so that another GPO can then make them available offline for a couple of hundred users.
Every time I try to apply the policy it fails with an 0x80070035 error which translates as a "Network Path cannot be found". The security settings for that particular folder is fine and the user can see it ok, furthermore following logon I can
manually map the drive through windows explorer and through CMD/powershell using the net use command.
The path i tried was \\servername\otherdir\securearea\ which didnt work (i did drop and add the final "\" just in case i was going mad)
    i then tried \\servername\otherdir\unsecurearea\ which
    still failed
just to prove my lack of sanity i created a folder on the hard drive of the laptop itself, made it a shared folder and tried both \\localhost\sharedfolder and \\127.0.0.1\sharedfolder,
they all fail with the same error code.
i have checked the hosts and the lmhosts files are there is nothing new in there, only the usual MS gumf that has come with every copy on windows since Win95
patience is wearing thin, hair is getting short ...
    thoughts anyone?

    Hi klimacher,
Would you please let me know the current situation of this issue? Have you referred to Kelly's suggestion and solved this issue?
Based on your description, I understand that you configure Drive Maps via GPP. However, can’t apply the policy
with error code 0x80070035. If anything I misunderstand, please don’t hesitate to let me know.
If so, you should find Event 4098 as below shows.
When you type the location of this mapped drive, please remove trailing slash on the UNC path. Then apply the
setting and run gpupdate command to update group policy setting. Please monitor the result.
In addition, please refer to the following article and troubleshoot this issue.
    Troubleshooting
the Drive Maps Preference Extension in Group Policy: Adding a Share Name with Trailing Slash '\' Returns Error Code 0x80070035
If this issue still exists, please let me know summarily how you configure the Drive Maps. For an example,
where the GPO link? Did link to user OU? Any update, please feel free to let us know.
    Hope this helps.

  • Error code 0x80070035

First, I'm really green with the computer stuff. I know a little, but I read thru the other forums and I don't understand some of it. I'll apologize ahead of time.
So, I set up my main computer for networking according to all the wizards. OS=Windows XP. I have a laptop that runs Vista home. My main computer (which I've renamed) shows up on in my network, but when I try to connect, I get the error message error code 0x80070035 network path was not found. All I want to do is share files and the printer.
Any info would help, and again, I'm apologizing now for my computer illiteracy.

    Hi,
    Thank you for posting.
Based on my research, I would like to share the following:
    1.    Ping the computers with each other by IP Address and computer name to see how it works. Access Windows Vista computer’s share with both \\computer name\folder and XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX\folder to see if they are works.
    2.    Ensure NetBIOS over TCP/IP is enabled on both computers
    ====================================================
    1)     Go to “Control Panel - Network Connections”.
    2)     Right-Click on the connection and click Properties.
    3)     Find Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) Version 4 in the list.
    4)     Click Properties, and then click Advanced.
    5)     On the Advanced TCP/IP settings windows, go to “WINS” tab.
    6)     Under NetBIOS setting, click Enable NetBIOS over TCP/IP, and then click OK.
    3.    Please ensure the firewall on both computers are set the enable “File and Printer Sharing”.
    Hope this helps. Thanks.

  • Cannot access a shared folder Error code: 0x80070035

    Hello Experts,
I have been working on this issue for like three days without a solution. I am truly desperate.
My company just purchased a new Cloud Server that we will use as our development environment for a software project. In order for all the developers (which are all over the US) to access the development environment, we need to have a few shared folders on
    that new server.
As soon as we got the server I did the following:
    1) Installed Active Directory
    2) Created a directory and made it shared - yes IT IS shared.
    3) I created a few new users on the new active directory domain
    THE PROBLEM:
I can't access the shared directory.
Other developers have been successful in connecting to the shared folder (so the share is working) - all except me.
when I open explorer and type \\IPADDRESS\SHAREDFOLDER instead I get this error (I am not even asked for credentials)
    Network Error
    Windows cannot access \\IPADDRESS\SHAREDFOLDER
    Error code: 0x80070035
The network path was not found.
    Things I have already tried:
    a) Enable NetBIOS over TCP/IP - on all adapters - still did not help
    b) Disable IPv6 - I am not sure how to check if it truly disabled
    c) Turned off all firewalls - did not help
    d) Mapping a Drive using different credentials - I just get asked for credentials over and over
    e) Ping - yes I can see the server
    f) My credentials are correct because I can Remote Desktop with the credentials with no problem ( I am administrator)
    My Machine:
    Brand New Asus G Series
    Windows 7 Home Edition
    Any ideas?
    Sorcerdon

In my case it was that the OU that my system was in did not have firewall rules for network file and printer sharing enabled. I enabled all of the rules for Domain policy and that fixed it.
I noticed a lot of comments about turning off the firewall not working. I can't be 100% sure, but in my experience with Server 2008 and Windows 7, if you want to configure a service that uses the network the base filter engine and the firewall HAVE to be
turned on while you configure. You can turn the firewall off after configuration, but they have to be active during configuration.
    Good luck!

  • Error Code 0x80070035 shows when I try to Access Windows XP machine from Windows8/Windows7

Error Code 0x80070035 shows when I try to Access Windows XP machine from Windows8/Windows7. in my PC i m installed windows8 and used primary and secondary IP. Primary is used for Access my Domain/Internet and secondary IP is used for access my VPN and
there is no internet on VPN. VPN is only used for my Head Office Appication. After i give secondary IP to my windos8/windos7 PC the Active network status changed to private network and not able to acces windows XP machines. Please Advice...

    Hi,
This error means that the Network path was not found. Was Windows XP locating in the same network as the secondary IP on Windows 8/7?
Please try the solution below.  Use the IP address of the target computer, not the computer name.
    1) Find out what the target computer's IP address is.  It is desirable to give the target computer a static private IP address, for example, 192.168.1.10, so it does not change.  Use the local windows help when sitting in front of the target computer
to do this if you don't know how.
    2) When sitting in front of the Windows 7 computer you want to access the target computer from, open Windows Explorer and in the address bar type \\ followed by the target computer's static address, for example,\\192.168.1.10 and hit enter.
If the target computer uses username/password sharing, after a few seconds you will be prompted for credentials.  Enter the same username and password employed to log on to the target computer when you are sitting in front of it.
The target computer will be added to the Windows 7 computer's Network list, appearing as an IP address instead of a computer name.  Then you can access its shares just as if it were listed by name instead of by number.

  • How do I solve a network error, code 60?

My ical on my imac desktop and I continue to receive a network error, code 60.  How do I solve this issue?

Try the last post here by elkclub...
    https://discussions.apple.com/thread/2370776?start=0&tstart=0
    1. Open iCal on your client computer > Preferences
    2. Go to the Accounts tab
    3. Go to Server Settings tab
    4. Make sure there is a port number entered. It should match the port number being used by the iCal server. Originally, this setting was on "Auto" and it worked fine. The "Auto" option no longer works. Also, be sure to check "Use SSL" if you are doing so. (In my setup, I have it on port 8443, with SSL on.)

    Hello nicolamcinroy,
    And welcome to Apple Discussions!
Since you are referring to issues you are having with downloading iTunes, I would suggest posting this in the iTunes forum, which can be found below. You might have much better luck there.

  • ICal Server Error "An unexpected network error (code 60)"

When trying to create a new iCal calendar on our leopard server I get an exclamation mark next to the server in the left sidebar next to the name of the server. When I click on it I get "an unexpected network error (code 60)"
    Thanks

After a lot of trial and error... this might help:

  • High number of "Network error code 0x2746" in extended events log

In the extended event log of our database server I see 880 consecutive identical errors, all occurring between
17:00:49 and 17:15:25. The message is:
Network error code 0x2746 occurred while establishing a connection; the connection has been closed. This may have been caused by client or server login timeout expiration. Time spent during login: total 27 ms, enqueued 0 ms, network writes 0 ms, network
reads 25 ms, establishing SSL 8 ms, negotiating SSPI 0 ms, validating login 0 ms, including user-defined login processing 0 ms. [CLIENT: 10.127.214.32]
The timings in each message are a little bit different. It might be interesting to know the averages for these timings, so here is the message again, now with the timings replaced by averages (rounded to 1 digit):
Network error code 0x2746 occurred while establishing a connection; the connection has been closed. This may have been caused by client or server login timeout expiration. Time spent during login: total 32.5 ms, enqueued 0.5 ms, network writes 0.9 ms,
network reads 29.4 ms, establishing SSL 8.3 ms, negotiating SSPI 0.0 ms, validating login 0.0 ms, including user-defined login processing 0.0 ms. [CLIENT: 10.127.214.32]
The client is a Citrix server that runs a COTS program. It serves approx. 20 users.
What can be the cause of this? Can it only be the program that automatically tries to reconnect?

    Hello,
Please read about possible causes and resolutions on the following resource:

Please examine any certificate used for communications. Maybe a certificate has expired.

  • ICal has encountered an unexpected network error (code 32)

Hello all... I just wanted to let people know how I fixed the above-mentioned error (code 32):
This has something to do with a Kereberos issue. Open Server Admin and under the iCal settings, uncheck the Kereberos settings. I know it isn't as secure, but at least you'll be able to update without "network errors". Also - make sure that your local settings are using any form to connect. So...
Do not use Kereberos and it should resolve the issue.
    Hope this helps someone!
    -JD

I am having the problem you described, but couldn't access the settings you spoke of. Is there any other ways to fix this problem. It just happens with one of my three calendars that I need to publish.
Any help would be great. thank you

  • App world network error code 40820

Hi i have issues with App world v3 with an error code 40820 which says they cant connect to the network server. I have tried all the resolutions possible in the support from blackberry but it still dosen't work.
I can view apps to download but i cant access my world or complete downloads. Please help! facebook app had an error message of 100 whereby they couldnt contact server.
I have deleted the facebook app v2 and now the App world v3 still doesn't work. Im using a bold 9900 os7.
    Help required urgently!

several at http://btsc.webapps.blackberry.com/btsc/search.do?cmd=displayKC&docType=kc&externalId=KB28188 - but none work for me (running OS 7.1 now!).
What does work for me is - turn off cellular and on WiFi - connect to an access point and no error. Don't forget to switch off wifi and on cellular when done!
BTW. App world access problems happened for me (over cellular) with OS 7.0 OEM build on my Torch 9850. Then they (BB/VZW) pushed out a new build and the problem disapeared!!!  Not to leave well enough alone, BB/VZW just made the OS 7.1 available, so I installed it - voila! the problem has reappeared. My corporate help desk said there is nothing in our BES set up that could be blocking it that he can find, so I blame BB/VZW (and there seems no way to contact them re: the KB article to say "where is the fix for OS 7.1?").
