Network error - hpofficejet pro - unable to start webservices

I have a HP Officejet Pro 8600 N911d.
Connected to my wireless network at home and am able to print wirelessly without any problem
But I am unable to access webservices. keep getting the following msg from the network tab of the printer:
"Network connection error. Check network and try again"
what can I do to get this started?

Welcome to the HP Support forums.  I understand that you are getting a network connection error when you are trying to enable the web services on your Officejet Pro 8600 printer.  
Please set a static IP address for the printer.  I’ve included a link to another post I’ve done that has the steps with screen shots.

    Eric, this can happen after a failed update that partially changed your Firefox install directory.
    Try a clean reinstall:
    1. Download the Firefox installer from [http://mozilla.com Mozilla.com] and save it to your desktop or other location.
    2. Make sure that Firefox is closed completely
    3. Delete the Firefox installation directory (On Windows, this is typically the C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox folder that contains "firefox.exe" and other Firefox program files and folders).
    4. Reinstall Firefox by running the installer you downloaded previously.
    Your personal settings, including bookmarks and history, will not be lost.

I am not a technical person at all, as you can see by my assumption that this was a Firefox and not a Windows situation, and I would have continued to just kept on hitting the OK button forever. I opted out by disabling the option but I copied the solution to a Word document and placed in a file just in case I needed to reverse in the future.     While chat with VMware support.. Following was his observation
    The reason the DR SRM service will not start is that there is no database for it.
    While working yesterday I saw that SRM was once configured to use the SRM embedded DB (as seen in the OBDC setup) but that does not exist any more. The Production SRM was setup that way too but has since been converted to an external SQL DB. The external SQL DB has not been configured for the DR SRM and will need to be done first before the service will start.
    If the DR SRM DB has been configured then you will need to set up the OBDC link on the DR SRM server and then do a modify install so SRM can link to the DB and create the tables needed.
    Please some body help me out with the proper steps to carry this activity

    Just bought and downloaded CS6  design and web premium . Seems done until I go to open Dreamweaver and I get the error stating dreamweaver unable to start correctly (0xc0000022). Photoshop , Flash and others open OK. Im runnning i7 2600CPU 8gb ddr3 64bit WIn7 ssd with 40gb free. I have tried  both suggested methods of downloading files with same result. All help much appreciated.

    But do you receive an error while installing the program?  It seems like you are continuing to download the install files and then running the install again.  After the installation is complete you then launch Dreamweaver which is failing.  Did Dreamweaver ever work on your computer?
    You can also utilize the Adobe Support Advisor - http://www.adobe.com/support/loganalyzer/ to review your istallation logs.

    Which web browser you were trying to open the siebel application. You should make that web browser as a default browser for your OS.
    Open IE- Tools - Internet Options - Programs - Make Default Browser.
    Try this and let me know the results.

    I have downloaded Acrobat sdk XI and tried to run plugin samples  in visual studio 2010, It is build successfully but when I try to run the program am getting an error message saying " Unable to start  Program 'C:\Users\downloads\sdk110_VI_win\Adobe\acrobatXISdk\Version1\Plugin Support\samples\BasicPlugin\Win32\Debug\BasicPlugin.api'."
    Can anybody help me finding out why am getting this message.

    How do you run the program?
    I need to copy the compiled BasicPlugin.api under Acrobat\plug_ins folder. I can create a subfolder of plug_ins and copy the .api file there. Just one level deep: if I create a subfolder under a subfolder of plug_ins, the .api file will not be found by Acrobat.
    Then I need to restart Acrobat and I find the plugin running. In particular, BasicPlugin add a new Acrobat SDK menu and a menu item under it.
    If I close Acrobat and go back to Visual Studio, I can push the Debug button which will open Acrobat for me and stop the program execution at any breakpoints I have set in the code.

    After that  when service is restarted i've tryed to reprocess stopped bmp's in SXMB_MONI_BPE transaction.

  • Unable to start xsp web service - Windows Client

    Hi all,
    I've got a problem with the Windows client (Windows 7 64-bit). When I start the client I get an error that says:
    Unable to start xsp web service, iFolder will not be able to work, restart the application.
    The client actually starts up. However, I'm unable to do anything with it. Are there any logs I can provide that may give you a bit more insight into what's going on?
    I can connect from my mac client and a colleague can connect (from outside the firewall) from his Windows client.
    Any thoughts?
