NETWORK ISSUES - IS THE NETWORK DOWN?

I am not receiving either LTE or 3G. There is a 1x showing for my connectivity. Is the network down? My zip code is 12801. Thanks!

A few days ago I noticed my iPhone 5s was switching between 1x, 3G, 4G and LTE after I did the Apple iOS update.
I found that the cellular and data roaming was set to on in my settings. Once I turned it off my connection went back to LTE.
Check your settings.
Good Luck

  • Agregated value in original report in not same as the drill down report

    Hello experts,
I have a issue with the drill down reports.
Agregated value in the main report is not equal to the agregarated value in the drill down report.
In my report I have a sales for jan 2011,feb 2011 so on
For jan 2011 it is some thing $56000
when I click on this amount it giving the detail level for each region sales and at the end it is giving the total sales for jan 2011 as $98000
My question is why there such difference in the total amount when we are drilling down?

  • Complaint: Issue with the Network

Facing issue with the Network for most of the time and sometimes even Data for both 3G and 2G.
My service provider was BSNL, Hyderabad, AP, India-50016
I have check even with my service provider from there they don't have any issue..
But the same works with my old BB8520 and others.
    Please can you help me?

    Is it h+ or H+?
I've had similar issues when my sim card was bad. I had cut it down to micro sim size and it worked fine for a month. Then it stopped working in the Z10 but worked in my 9810. Try having your carrier replace your sim card.

  • Recent issue:  Overnight the network disappears

I've been using my Airport Extreme base station with no problems for about 10 months. I have an iMac G5 (first generation) connected by wire, and a 15" Macbook Pro that connects wirelessly. My internet connection is DSL.
Several days ago (and directly after installing a security patch to OSX), I had an issue in the morning where my laptop could see the wireless network but got "an issue" when trying to connect. My desktop couldn't see the internet, and didn't recognize the base station when I went into Airport Admin Utility. The center light on my base station was lit white and gave no indication of an issue. I tried to manually restart the base station and had no luck. Finally I tried shutting down the computer and unplugging everything. I plugged back in and everything worked fine.
This has happened every morning since it first occurred.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks!

I'm having the exact same issue you describe. Everything was fine for months, upgraded to 10.4.10 now the laptop drops off at night even though the connection signal is fine. A reboot of the airport extreme fixes the issue.
Sounds like this is becoming a wider known issue as I'm seeing it pop up in more and more posts.

  • I am having trouble connecting to my network all of a sudden. It is not an issue with the service/router. I keep getting kicked off and getting a ! in my airport... anyone know what's up with this?

I am having trouble connecting to my network all of a sudden. I am able to connect to other networks but not my own. It is not an issue with the service/router because other devices connect fine. I keep getting kicked off and getting a ! in my airport. Last time it happended I called apple and the suggested I wipe my HD and reinstall everything. I did and it did not work. One day I turned my laptop on and it connected no problem. Now it has kicked me off again. I tried resetting my IP address but that does not work either! Has anyone had this problem?

    Try this:
Apple menu / System Preferences / Network.
Click Location: and select Edit Locations..
Click + (plus sign), and enter a name for the new location - anything will do.
    Apply this.

It's important that you have a steady WiFi connection, ZealousEdge. What phone do you have? Is your phone unable to connect to any WiFi network? If you can, please try deleting the saved WiFi network and re-adding it.

  • I have a 1st generation time capsule and an extreme b/g. Is the extreme slowing the network down

I have a 1st generation time capsule and an appe extreme b/g. Is the extreme slowing the network down? Should I dump it an get the new n version?

yes it is likely to be slowing down the network because you are using 802.11b/g
from what i recall with b/g a slow client can slow down the entire network to that clients speed.
this was the major improvement with 802.11n and Mimo. each client can be connected to the access point without affecting your speed to the rest of the network
its reccomended to get all new "N" equipment if you have the budget for it. some of those old airports and time capsules can still be worth something on amazon marketplace so you might be able to sell them
if you want to create / join / extend a netwowrk your going to probably need all "n" based equipment.
buy the new 4th generation time capsule or the new 5th generation airport they have better stronger radios
in the mean time configure your base station router to a high multicast rate, so it will prevent devices connecting to it at 1-2 mbps speeds and slowing down your network
if you have an apple care covered mac remember the airport / time capsule rule. all airports and time capsules purchased 2 years before you bought your mac to the 3 years of apple care covers them. if you do not have apple care then the standard warranty applies

  • Debug spanning-tree bpdu brought the network down

I'm troubleshooting a pair of Dell Power-Connect switches in a Dell blade chassis connected to a pair of Cisco 4900M switches. I have my 4900M switches set as spanning-tree root and backup root. The Dell switches are connected via LACP trunks to the 4900M's. Dell switch 1 to 4900 #1 and Dell switch 2 to 4900M #2. Both of the Dell switches are reporting as root switches.
I was trying to troubleshoot this yesterday and ran 'debug spanning-tree bpdu' on the primary 4900M. There was a masive amount of BPDU events scrolling by. This debug command actually took the network down. The primary 4900M was non-responsive and the secondary unit had it's CPU go to 100%. The fix was to power cycle the primary 4900M.
Why did this command take my network down?
    --Patrick

Typically, the device prioritizes console output ahead of other functions. The debug spanning-tree bpdu generates a lot of output. That is what jumped the CPU to 100% and ultimately caused the device to crash.
You should be very careful with debug commands and log to the internal buffer, instead of the console.

  • IMac isn't loading a specific website (can't connect to that server), regardless of browser, though the same website will load on other computers on same network. Is it an issue with the iMac's settings?

Our iMac isn't loading a specific website (we get a message saying it can't connect to that specific server), regardless of browser (I've tried it in Chrome, Safari, and Firefox). However, the same website, which is for a major medical provider, loads without any issue on our other computers on the same wireless network. Is it an issue with the iMac's settings? All other websites seem to be loading without issue on the iMac.

... Is it an issue with the iMac's settings?
Possibly. Make sure you are not using a proxy server. Look in Safari Preferences > Advanced > Proxies > "Change Settings..." This will take you to the applicable Network Preferences. Make sure that nothing is selected in the "select a protocol to configure" list. It should look like this:
    Still not working?
Locate your Terminal app. It is in your Utilities folder. Open Terminal.
In Terminal, copy (triple-click) and paste the following line:
osascript -e 'tell application "System Events" to get name of every login item'
This will produce a list of all your account login items.
While you are in Terminal, copy (triple-click) and paste the following line:
    kextstat -kl | awk '!/com\.apple/{printf "%s %s\n", $6, $7}'
This will produce a list of all non-Apple kernel extensions. There will be few, if any.
Post the results of the above.

Is the 4G network down? I have no 4G in zip 60645 for several hours now

Let's look further into this and provide a resolution nobama! I don't see any alerts for the zip code you provided. Are you aware if this is happening to other Verizon Wireless customers as well or just your device? Is this happening in a specific area (indoors only)? Which device do you have and when did this begin? Please try powering off your device and remove/insert the sim card and test. Please share. Thank you.

Do you have Settings > Messages > Send as SMS: ON?
That setting would only affect iMessages that couldn't go through. It doesn't have any effect on SMSs to non-iMessage recipients or if iMessage isn't activated at all.
I know, just wondering if she has send as sms in settings.
    Got it.
