Network Path Error using Ethernet/IP TagWrite

Hello,
I am having trouble getting the TagWrite VI in the Ethernet/IP Industrial Communications driver package to work properly. I have an Allen-Bradley CompactLogix 1769-L32E PLC connected via ethernet. The controller is online and connected through RSLogix 5000.
At the moment, I am working on writing two simple VIs - one to read and display from a single boolean controller tag using the TagRead VI, and one to write to a single boolean controller tag using the TagWrite VI. Using the code shown below, I am able to read from and display the status of the tag "JogX_In" :
I do this by going online with the controller in RSLogix5000 and manually changing the status of "JogX_In," at which point the status of "JogX_In" is updated on a boolean indicator on the LabVIEW front panel. Using a very similar code to write to the same tag, however, I get the error shown below:
Unless there is a different syntax for TagWrite, I am sure that the network path and tag name are correct as they work perfectly using TagRead. Can anyone please give me some help with this problem? I am by no means a LabVIEW expert, but I have worked with LabVIEW an number of times and have a reasonable understanding of the basics. Please let me know if any more information is needed.
Thank you!

Hi Joe,
I am lso getting the same problem, i have tried to use a single element in the array, its not helping. Attached are the screen shots for the VI and the rslogix
thanks

  • Network Path Error from Windows Clients

    Hi everyone,
I have a problem that's been puzzling me. I used to be able to connect to my Mac servers as well as Mac clients with Windows sharing enabled from PCs at my work. I can't recall exactly when it stopped working, but it has. Whenever I try connecting to a Mac from a Windows PC, all I get is the error "The network path \\"server"\"share" could not be found". Here's the scenario:
    - Tried connecting to Tiger Server (10.4.2), Tiger client (10.4.4) and Panther Server (10.3.9)
    - Neither Windows 2000 SP4 or XP SP2 work (I know about the issues with XP SP2)
    - Systems are on the same IP subnet
    - All have the same Windows workgroup name
    - I've stopped and restarted Windows services, and Windows sharing on Tiger client
    - Share points on both servers are configured for SMB
    - Tried IP and host name
    - Works fine connecting from a Mac using "smb://server" in the Connect To dialog
    - I'm able to connect via FTP from the PC
    Any ideas are appreciated!
    iMacG5, iMac G4, iBook G3 900mhz, 1st gen iPod, iPod Nano   Mac OS X (10.4.4)

Have you tried connecting to the share by IP address? try start, run,
    \\xxx.xxx.x.xx\
The problem I am having is similar. 10.4.3 server windows shares work for a while, then it stops broadcasting out of the blue. We can still make IP connects to the server, but cannot using the smb name.
Gonna call support today and see what I can find out on my issue. If I find some resolve I will try to post the solution if I get time.

  • Time Capsule error using ethernet cable to transfer files

My boss just bought a brand-new 500GB Time Capsule and a new 17" MacBook Pro. He wants me to transfer all of his old files from his old MacBook (just under 60GBs of data) to his new MacBook Pro. Saying that this MacBook has seen better days is an understatement. It still works, but it is slow as all **** and the optical drive is borked. I tried copying over the files directly through FireWire and ethernet to the new MacBook Pro, I tried backing up the files to an external hard drive, and now I'm trying it with the Time Capsule.
This time it actually looked like it was going to work, but it failed at about 3.something GBs out of the 50-something it had to transfer. This is the message I got "Time Machine Error - Unable to complete backup. An error occured while copying files to the backup volume."
I'm thinking the hard drive is damaged in some way, but the computer seems to be running pretty normally, albeight slowly. Help?
    -Jaime D.
P.S. Excuse my typos, if any. I'm running on IE7 and it doesn't have a built-in spellchecker.

    Here's a plan I suggest.
use a firewire drive and partition it in two. Make the second partition small but at least 8 gigs. evn though the optical drive is no good on the macbook then use the intel MBPro and load the Leopard DVD to the desktop. Launch Disk Utility and partition the firewire drive in two partitions like I mentioned previously. Select restore and drag the Leopard DVD into the source window and the small partition into the destination window. Select restore button. When done do a Time Mackine on that larger first partition.
When done boot the second partition and restore that Time Machine backup. Launch DU once Leopard boots from that partition.

  • I want to switch from my wireless network to wired using ethernet. What do I need to do?

I am currently connected wirelessly, but plan to hard-wire the Apple TV to my Internet instead. What do I need to do to do that, just plug the ethernet cable in? The cable company is coming tomorrow.

Oh yes ... I will be using an ethernet cable too; I just wanted to know if I need to do anything in settings on the Apple TV, or whether it will automatically connect itself and I won't have to do anything else.

  • WinRM cannot process the request. The following error occured while using Kerberos authentication: The network path was not found.

I have two forests with a transitive on-way trust between them: PROD -> TEST (test trusts PROD). I had previously had kerberos authentication working with winrm from PROD to machines in TEST. I have verified the trust is healthy, I also verified users
in TEST can use WINRM with kerberos just fine. Users from PROD cannot connect via kerberos to machines in TEST with winrm.
I have verified the service has registered the appropriate SPNs. I ran dcdiag against all my PROD and TEST domain controllers and didn't find anything that would prevent kerberos from happening. I even tried disabling the firewall entirely on my TEST dcs
but that didn't gain me anything.
I've enabled kerberos logging but only see the expected errors such as it couldn't find a PROD SPN for the machine, which it shouldn't from what I understand, it should go to the TEST domain and find the SPN from there.
I'm really out of next steps before I call PSS and hope someone here has run into this and could provide me some next steps.

    Hi Adam,
I'm a little unclear about which SPNs you were looking for, in which case could you confirm you were checking that on the computer object belonging to the actual destination host it has the following SPNs registered?
    WSMAN/<NetBIOS name>
    WSMAN/<FQDN>
If you were actually trying to use WinRM to connect to the remote forest's domain controllers, then what you said makes sense, but I was caught between assuming this was the case or you meant another member server in that remote forest.
Also, from the client trying to connect to this remote server, are you able to telnet to port 5985? (If you've used something other than the default, try that port)
If you can't, then you've got something else like a firewall (be that the Windows firewall on the destination or a hardware firewall somewhere in between) blocking you at the port level, or the listener on the remote box just isn't working as expected. I
just replied to your other winrm post with steps for checking the latter, so I won't repeat myself here.
If you can telnet to it and the SPNs exist, then you might be up against something called selective authentication which has to do with how the trust was defined. You can have a read of
this to learn a bit more about selective trusts and whether or not it's affecting you.

  • When I try to open up a PDF document, i get the following error message: "There was an error opening this document. The network path was not found" AArrgh please help as I need to open up my documents. Thanks.

When I open up a PDF Document all i get is an error message saying: "There was an error opening this document. The network path was not found" I dont know how to fix this, so looking for some advice please, as I really need o open up my documents.
    Thank for any help.

The documents I’m trying to read are already saved on my computer, under various different headings, I know that we have a server, so I only assume these documents are saved on here, as I said before I’m not good with all this techno stuff. I do my work each week ( on a payroll system) and save the documents for each company, they automatically go to the correct place. I never request for them to be saved in a certain place ( well not that I’m aware of) . I then on occasions need to open up this information, it is then that I can’t read or open the documents. We do have a tech help, but they are off sick until the 5th Jan, hence me trying to work out if I can fix this problem through this help site. Its ADOBE Reader that I’m trying to use.

  • SCOM agent install fails Error 80070035 - the network path was not found

I have deployed SCOM 2012 agents to most servers (2008, 2008 R2, 2012, 2012R2) in our estate but some either fail to install or are not monitored. I assume the two problems are related, but for now I am concentrating on the servers that fail completely.
Installation is from the Discovery Wizard and I have about 20 servers that fail of various server versions.
So looking at one specific server that is failing to install the agent - a 2008 standard service pack 2
The firewall in on and file and printer sharing is enabled for domain, remote administration is enabled for domain
I added a specific rule to allow TCP 5723 and 5724
    DCOM is enabled
I can Ping the target server from the SCOM server by both name and FQDN - both return the same IP and our DNS server has only one entry for this server
I can browse to the admin share \\server\C$ from the SCOM Server, using the same account that I specify for the agent install that is a domain admin with rights on this server (and on the other servers the agent
did install to) and the server has plenty of disk space available
I am not sure what else to look at so would welcome any ideas
    Thanks

    Hi Petro,
I have a Agent installation failure cheat sheet, For your error 80070035 it is said to perform a manual installation.
So i would like to understand which version of SCOM is this ? 2007 R2 or 2012 or 2012 r2 ?
Also check if your agents have the WMI service started and enabled ?
Also if yours is a SCOM 2007 R2 do you have a RMS & MS in your management group ? If yes then Pushing the agent installation from MS may cause such issue. So would suggest you push the installation from RMS.
Also check if your Network connectivity meets the minimum requirement as recommended by SCOM. Below is applicable for Both SCOM 2007 R2 & SCOM 2012 & 2012 R2.
    Component A
    Component B
    Minimum Requirement
Root management server or management server
    Agent
    64 Kbps
Root management server or management server
    Agentless
    1024 Kbps
Root management server or management server
    Database
    256 Kbps
Also check if you have any Anti virus / Firewall which is blocking the install / communication. If yes disabe or add the "Monitoringhost.exe to the safe list or what your feature is.
Check if you have another IP assigned to the NIC card and remove it tempraurly andchecl.
Also post the event logs of the Agents which are in not monitored state for analysis.

When you install or remove a management agent, the Operations Manager 2007 management server copies temporary files to the remote computer. One
of these files is named LockFileTime.txt. This lock file is intended to prevent another management server from performing a management agent installation at the same time as the current installation. If the management agent installation is unsuccessful and
if the management server loses connectivity with the remote computer, the temporary files may not be removed. Therefore, the LockFileTime.txt may remain in the folder on the remote computer. When the management server next tries to perform an agent installation,
the management server detects the lock file. Therefore, the management agent installation is unsuccessful.

  • SCCM 2012 Setup error when setting SQL connection info "Network Path Was Not Found"

    Hello.
I'm facing an issue during CCM 2012 SP1 Beta Setup on step "DB INFORMATION"
My lab is set like that:
1x Front-end WS 2012 rtm "CCM Install on it" (Fresh install = no features installed)
    1x Back-end WS 2012 rtm SQL Server 2012 SP1 (I don't know if this is supported).
On the sql Side there is already a first instance with SCVMM 2012 SP1(beta) environment that work well.
A second dedicated instance is ready for CCM install.
Named Pipes enabled , TCP/IP Enabled
Firewall rules for 1433 and 4022 are enabled on the Domain profile ,other profiles are disabled.
Instance Service is running with a domain account
Everything is published in AD (delegations for computer account), Schema Prep already done manually.
I'm Able to resolve dns name of the SQL server on the CCM VM and telnet 4022 + 1433 ports.

Kévin KISOKA - MCTS Exchange Configuring, MCTS Hyper-V Server Virtualization

    3 Steps are neccessary:
    1. Make sure the Windows Firewall Service on the SQL Server is running and set to automatic
    2. Add the SQL EXE as a Program Exception to the Firewall on the SQL Server:
To add a program exception to the firewall using the Windows Firewall item in Control Panel.
    - On the Exceptions tab of the Windows Firewall item in Control Panel, click
    Add a program.
    - Browse to the location of the instance of SQL Server that you want to allow through the firewall, for example
    C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL11.<instance_name>\MSSQL\Binn, select
    sqlservr.exe, and then click Open
    - Click OK.
    From http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc646023.aspx
    3. The last step neccessary, on the SQL Server, is to set File and Printer Sharing "on". When this is off, the following error occurs: "Network Path was not found"

I hope I will find the solution here.

  • MDT user credentials error: Invalid credentials: The network path was not found

I have DELL E5400 and DELL Optiplex 760 pc. In the before, DELL630 is working with my MDT service, but now, DELL E5400 and DELL Optiplex 760 not working with my MDT.
When PE loaded and go to User Credentials interface, I input the user name and password(I confirm the user name and password is correct), it will display error message "Invalid credentials: The network path was not found". I checked that the network driver is correct.
After search some information in the website, someone said that maybe the network initializing timeout issue, so I according to Tim Quan guide to add following to startnet.cmd
    wpeutil InitializeNetwork
    ping localhost
    wpeinit
Then I update the deploy location in MDT and then re-loaded it again, but unlucky, I still meet the same issue. I tried to use ipconfig /all command to check the network status, I couldn't find out local network connection. I click "Cancel" to check the error message, it will display"A connection to the deployment share could not be made. The deployment will not proceed. DHCP lease was not obtained for any networking device!Possible cause: check physical connection".
It seems that PE not loaded network driver successfully, but it is very strange that the network driver is correct.
    Have someone can help me?
    Thanks a lot

  • Error Code 0x80070035 - The network path was not found, Windows Server 2008 SP2

I have bee receiving following "error code 0x80070035 - The network path was not found" when trying to open file shares in both directions using Windows Server 2008 Standard SP2 at both ends. The issue is identical to the KB article KB958285, however the hotfix is only valid up to but not including SP2. One of the servers in question has moved several times between 2 subnets seperated by a VPN. I have tried changing settings in and around the local NIC/DNS Suffix and in the network connection sharing centre, but with no luck. Firewalls are turned off at both sites, and pings and AD queries are successful (one server is a DC). DNS is also working correctly at both sites. Any help/suggestions would be appreciated.
    Richard

I thought I would add in another scenario, since this link came to the top of my list in the search engine.
We are running 2008 R2 with SP1 (it happened without SP1 as well)
We could not map using UNC (IP, FQDN, or netbios name).  We could ping access the other servers via other utils like event viewer and services.msc but just could not map.
In our case it turned out to be a VMWARE issue but we still had to make a regedit change first
You have to go to regedit HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\NetworkProvider\Order\
    And add LanmanWorkstation to Providerorder
I found on a Citrix board that citrix has an issue with this as well
If you're running VM  here is an additional step you should do as well
When you upgrade VMware Tools installed with HGFS from ESX 3.x to ESX 4.x, the HGFS driver may not get uninstalled properly. In this case, the virtual machine's network Provider Order tab in Network Connections
    > Advanced > Advanced Settings displays incorrect information and the virtual machine may lose network connectivity.
To avoid this issue, uninstall VMware Tools 3.x before installing VMware Tools 4.x.
To workaround this issue, if you have already upgraded VMware Tools:
    Click Start >
Run, type regedit, and click OK. The Registry Editor window opens.
    Navigate to
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\NetworkProvider\Order\.
    Delete the reference to
    hgfs.
    Reboot the virtual machine.
We found that if you strip out the HGFS, you do not have to reboot for the provider order tab to come back
I hope that this saves people a lot of time.   I spent days researching this.
This was the solution for me on 2008 R2 DC w/ Exchange.  I do not have VMWare installed but do have Hyper-V.  Thank you so much!

  • Peer to Peer network error 0x80070035 the network path was not found

We are adding an XP computer to a peer to peer network with Vista machines.  The Vista machines can see the XP machine in the network but when clicking to get to share files, message comes up Windows cannot access \\XPcomputer.   The message adds that there may be a spelling error or that there may be a problem with the network.  But the error message is the one listed in the subject of this email.
XP machine is properly set to share folders and there is no other visible proble.  There is no message from the antivirus software so I am assuming the address is within the Antivirus acceptable range.  Antivirus is Norton 360.
    Any suggestions...very frustrating... thank you

  • Error using Window Server Backup on 2012R2 Hyper-V to network share

    Hi
    I have a Windows 2012 R2 Hyper-V server. It runs a Windows 2012 R2 VM (called
    server-1).
I want to backup the VM to a network location (\\network-1\server-1_backup$). To do this, I installed Windows Server Backup from the command line and configured a backup to look like this:

Advanced settings: VSS Backup Option (FULL)
    Location to store backup: \\network-1\server-1_backup$\
Times of day to run backup: 04:00
But when I run this backup manually, I get the following error:
    C:\Users\admin>wbadmin start backup

Did any one face this problem?
    Any help please........
    Rgds,
    Santhosh

    Hi,
I am getting the same error even if I replace(\) by slashes(/).
I tried on EP6SP12 as well as EP6SP2 and got the same error on both.
The repository is searching for a folder named with
n/w path on the portal server itself(i.e, it is searching in the following folder
    <b>C:\usr\sap\IGTE\j2ee\j2ee_00\cluster\server\NWP_001
My network path is NWP_001</b>),instead of searching on the remote system.
Can any one help me in solving the problem
    Thanks in Advance.

    Hello everyone:
I know this question have been asked in these forums quite a few times. I apologize if it is a repeat telecast but I was not able to find a suitable solution pertaining to my problem.
I have a AP/SM setup that is configured to get EAP-PEAP authentication from Windows 2012 Server. I have setup everything and have verified that the EAP-PEAP authentication works fine on AP/SM by getting authentication from FreeRADIUS server. Now, when I try

    Hi,
Have you installed certificates on the NPS server properly? Have you selected the proper certificate in the properties of PEAP?
Here is an article about the Certificate requirements of PEAP,
Certificate requirements when you use EAP-TLS or PEAP with EAP-TLS
    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/814394
If your certificate matches the requirement, you may try to reinstall the certificate by export and import.
To export a certificate, please follow the steps below,
Open the Certificates snap-in for a user, computer, or service.
In the console tree under the logical store that contains the certificate to export, click
    Certificates.
In the details pane, click the certificate that you want to export.
On the Action menu, point to
All Tasks, and then click Export.
In the Certificate Export Wizard, click No, do not export the private key. (This option will appear only if the private key is marked as exportable and you have access to the private key.)
Provide the following information in the Certificate Export Wizard:
Click the file format that you want to use to store the exported certificate: a DER-encoded file, a Base64-encoded file, or a PKCS #7 file.
If you are exporting the certificate to a PKCS #7 file, you also have the option to include all certificates in the certification path.
If required, in Password, type a password to encrypt the private key you are exporting. In
Confirm password, type the same password again, and then click
    Next.
In File name, type a file name and path for the PKCS #7 file that will store the exported certificate and private key. Click
    Next, and then click Finish.
To import a certificate, please follow the steps below,
Open the Certificates snap-in for a user, computer, or service.
In the console tree, click the logical store where you want to import the certificate.
On the Action menu, point to
All Tasks, and then click Import to start the Certificate Import Wizard.
Type the file name containing the certificate to be imported. (You can also click
Browse and navigate to the file.)
If it is a PKCS #12 file, do the following:
Type the password used to encrypt the private key.
(Optional) If you want to be able to use strong private key protection, select the
Enable strong private key protection check box.
(Optional) If you want to back up or transport your keys at a later time, select the
Mark key as exportable check box.
    Do one of the following:
If the certificate should be automatically placed in a certificate store based on the type of certificate, click
Automatically select the certificate store based on the type of certificate.
If you want to specify where the certificate is stored, select
Place all certificates in the following store, click
Browse, and choose the certificate store to use.
If issue persists, you may try to re-issue the certificate.
