Hi,
do following,
download sapsprint.exe from service .sap.com  (Note 927074 - Patches for SAPSprint)
install it on your network server where network printer is attached.
now in sap follow the steps,
tcode  ->   spad -> configuration -> output devices -> change (F8) -> create
output device ->  give name of printer i.e HP_printer
short name -> HPP
device type -> select your printer driver i.e HPLJ1100
device class -> standard printer
select tab access method
Host Spool Access Method ->  S
Host printer :  __DEFAULT
Destination host:   ip address of host where sapsprint is installed
now in su01 for every user assign this printer ( use SU10 for mass change)

  • Automatic Network Printer Installed for clients

Is there any possible ways that if every clients can get Automatic Share printer installed on machine that they current log on?
We have Windows Server 2008 R2 as our Domain Controller.

    Hi,
According to your description, my understanding is that you want the network printers to be automatically added on the client machine.
You may reference the link below for Deploying Printers by Using Group Policy:

And, more information about the policies specific to managing printers and how to enable or disable printer management by using the Local Group Policy Editor, reference:

  • Illustrator CS2 can't open new file with network printer installed

It seems that with my network printer set up I can't do much with Illustrator, I can't open new files and I can't print without opening up the printer setup menu in Windows.
Photoshop CS btw, I can't open it at all.
I take the network printer offline and everything is fine, except then I don't have a printer.
    Windows XP SP2
    Illustrator CS2 12.0.1
    Any fix for this?
    Thanks,
    David

Creating a Dummy Generic printer fixed the issues of opening a new file in Illustrator and being able to open PS at all.
However Illustrator is still taking several minutes to print something as simple as a test circle.
The menu I was referring to is Printers & Faxes under control panel, though I realized later that may not have had anything to do with it. It may have simply been coincidental timing. I opened the P&F window about 10 minutes after hitting print and just after opening P&F the print window popped up. It simply may have been taking 10 minutes for the print window to open.
With the network printer set up as the default printer if I try to open Photoshop a window opens but just stays a grey blank screen, no credits box, nothing. Then if after a few minutes I hit ctrl+alt+del it says Photoshop not responding.
What I was doing to take the printer offline was to completely delete the network printer from Printers & Faxes.
I'll see if they have an updated set of drivers, but I think I have the latest ones, as I updated them a month or so ago.
    Thanks,
    David

  • Desperately need help with a networked printer and SMB sharing for windows

Complete xServ newbie here. I'm a windows/novell admin, with limited experience in Unix and Linux.
Against my advice, a client of mine that owns a small office of 20 people bought an XServG5 to act as a server for 20 mixed Windows PCs. File sharing services are working fine. I've created the users, set up groups and rights - that's all good.
I cannot get an SMB shared printer to work from the windows machines. They run through the network printer install just fine, it shows up online, etc. However, when print jobs are submitted they DO show up in the printer queue on the server, sit there for a while, and then get moved to the completed box.
They never print. There's not any indication that the job is even submitted to the printer. I can print to the printer just fine from the server itself, but the windows clients don't work, but they don't return an error message.
Print services are running on the server, I've configured the printer name to be less than 12 characters for the share, and indeed it does pop right up during the "add network printer" routine.
Ideas? I'm not even sure what questions I'm supposed to be asking, such is my ignorance of the OS. I do know that I followed the documentation to a T, and according to Apple this should work.
Thanks in advance for the help. I'm extremely frustrated.

We have the same problem. Our printer worked for about 2 years but failed similar to yours after a system update.
Can you go into the Windows service, Logs, Printer Service. Copy and paste the log here. What I am looking for is a line like lpr: CANNOTCONNECTCLIENT or something similar to this.
What I expect is that you have a problem where the cups defined printer is not usable. We can't get our problem fixed either - but am just curious if you have the same thing. We reloaded our server, applied all of the update and still cannot get it to work.
Again, I think it stems from the update.

  • FileOutputStream to Network Printer

Can anyone tell me how to specify a network printer (installed on server) in the FileOutputStream. I've tried the below and many other variations including the IP address, the port number, the name, etc. The API documentation did not help. Thanks.
    new FileOutputStream("\\\\localhost\\PrinterName");

    Ian,
I did try to go learn something, but you're not much help either. I was using LPT1 as the argument to successfully print on my local printer and this is not a "file". Taking that a step further, I found the below post which led me to believe this could be possible with a network printer that's installed on the server. If you want to complain, take it up with "innphernoe".
That said, I prefer to use the 2D printing and have read many poor tutorials to consoldate what I need to print text. I've now have general printing from my server working, but the print method in my print class in the JSP declaration section can not access my bean. Any suggestions on approaches to that?

well u also said that i must set my FileOutputStream
to the network printer....how do i do that...
    Thanx..Something like this:
    FileOutputStream fos = new FileOutputStream("\\\\localhost\\network_printer_name"); PrintStream ps = new PrintStream(fos); ps.print("Print this line"); ps.close( );
You would also have to have a try block for your I/O code snippet, or you could just throw IOException.

  • Acrobat Reader 8.1.2 network print issue after installing XP SP3

I administer a network of 30+ workstations, and since installing Acrobat 8.1.2 and Windows XP Service Pack 3, I've been experiencing odd behavior from the print function in the reader.
Staff can open a pdf document with no issues, but when they try to print to a network printer, nothing happens. I then in turn open wordpad on their workstation, do a "File, Print", and the print functions properly.
I then can go back to the reader, and the print job will work.
Nothing has changed on my network in regards to previous settings, with the exception of installing reader 8.1.2, and XP SP3.
    Any ideas, or potential solutions?

You are not alone. I hope you get some response. We have seen nor heard anything.
    See: http://www.adobeforums.com/webx/?13@@.59b56569/6
Title: Adobe Reader v8.1.2 Compatible with Windows XP Pro SP3
One ray of hope is that it seems to be getting quicker. I don't know why but I'll take it!
When I go to this Windows XP link,
    http://www.microsoft.com/windows/products/windowsxp/default.mspx
it says I am running SP2 instead of saying I am running SP3, which is what my System Properties says is installed. Just something to think about and perhaps check.
    Good luck!

  • LaserJet 2550n network printer on XP host PC, can't install Windows 7 client laptop

Have Color LaserJet 2550n network printer connected to XP host PC. I can't install  Windows 7 client laptop for printer. The wireless network is fine, I can access documents back and forth, merely the printer doesn't work and there's no way to download 64bit drivers for this printer from HP.

    Resolved, not solved.
I talked to HP product support. The Officejet Pro 8500 A910 will not install on Windows XP (at least the Home Edition) when networked through a router. It will install through USB. I uninstalled the program and reinstalled it with only USB connected to clean out all the network printer/scanner information. Product support claimed it would install through an ether net cable connected between the printer and computer but this does little good if you need internet access.

I have tried everythingto no avail. HP will not support and have, very little online resources addressing this particular issue. What should I do?

  • How to install All-In-One software with network printer?

I plugged my 7310xi into my Linksys WRT54G router. In Windows 7 64-bit I found the printer, installed the default drivers, and it's printing happily via the network.
But I need to install the HP All-In-One software if I want more advanced functions like scanning to my computer.
Downloaded the software from the web. During installation I get to the part where it asks me to choose how the printer connects to the computer. I select "through the network," click next, and it just keeps on kicking me back to this screen and I can't proceed. Any ideas?
    Here's the error:

I had exactly the same problem with Windows 7 64-bit and HP Photosmart 2610xi. All you need to do is right click on the installation program, go to properties, go to compatibility mode, select Windows Vista SP2 and optionally check run as administrator. It worked after that.

  • Installation error 0x00004005 when installing aHP 1220c network printer on a win 7 - 64 bit

I am attempting to install an HP 1220c printer on my new Win 7-64 laptop. The laptop finds the printer connected to a desktop XP computer automatically when I click "Add New Network Printer" but the installation fails with error 0x00004005. If I connect the printer via a USB cable directly to the new laptop, it installs OK.
After the USB install went OK, I replugged the printer into the XP desktop and tried again. I got the same error message even though the laptop found the printer on the desktop automatically.

    Hi Bob,
    Thank you for your reply.
Yes I have tried the CS5 Cleanup Tool - multiple times.  Doesn't help.
I am surprised to hear that you installed with no problems in light of Tech Support being adament that it won't work on Windows 7 and is not supported.
I told Tech that I didn't accept that as there are probably hundreds of thousands of users with CS3 who have installed or tried to install on a Win7 machine and not everyone has hundreds of dollars spare to upgrade.
I only really use DW, PS and Acrobat in the Suite so I'm going to have to save to buy those products but it won't be anytime soon.
    Thanks.

  • Can't install network printer.. Drivers won't install

I am currently upgrading my Window XP pro machines to Windows 7 Ultimate "32 bit" I have software on the workstation that is VITAL to operation and no longer available for download and media is destroyed. I was successful in upgrading to Vista
32 and upgrading to Windows 7 Ultimate. The updates all installed and I figured I was home free.. :Not so MUCH: When I try to install any network printer It errors out at point of installing the driver. I am only having this issue on upgrades to Window 7 Ultimate.
On Machines I only upgraded to Window 7 Professional, the printer install fine.  I am receiving the same error on any printer of any manufacturer, HP, Ricoh ,Canon..... 0x00000f0d...etc.  I have cleaned out the printer and drivers, stopped and
started print spooler, and am running out of options.
    Thanks in advance

    Hi,
What is the detailed information of the error message?
I suggest you install the driver in a compatibility mode, see instructions in the following link
    http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/windows/en-US/80cae5ee-dc98-4a2f-8284-a1ab826059b7/how-to-install-a-hardware-device-driver-using-compatibility-mode
And it is recommended to view the manufacture website or contact the printer manufacture to check if they have a appropriate printer for Window 7 Ultimate.

  • Can anyone tell me how to install a network printer driver without having the network printer online?

Can anyone tell me how to install a network printer driver without having the network printer online? It doesn't matter what manufactors make the network printers. Is a netwaork printer(with network card) has to have that printer on line to be able to install
the driver? This is the point of my question!
I've ask a same type of question previously, but I can't either get good answer nor reply on the response.

    DP
The computer (and driver) have to handshake with the printer, QED it has to be either online or physically connected and if it is physically connected it wont work on the network so yes it does.
