Network printer just quit was working fine
HP OfficeJet J5780 attached to USB on Windows 7 Home 64 bit. Wifes HP laptop, Win XP (32) over the network was working fine for the last 3 weeks. Today she gets errors "No printer installed" it shows in the Printers and Faxes window. I have uninstalled and reinstalled several times, even totally deleting the driver in printer server. I use the wizard, it finds the network printer on my machine, it says there are no associated drivers in the server would you like to install them? I say yes, it installs successfully but if printer icon is right clicked, one option is to "Pause Printing" even though there hasn't been a printing job initiated. Also when Preferences is clicked the big error thing pop-s up. The printer shows in printer dialogs but when clicked a message, "a Printer must be installed..." appears

Any error messages?
Do other devices now connect?
Did the iPod connect before?

We recently had a new printer installed at work that has been set as the Default printer on my computer. When I go to print something from Firefox, I am not able to select the new printer from the printer window in the print box. The new printer does not show up
From another computer, go to http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/, click "Free download" button, click "Save File" button, select your flash drive in "Save as" window. "Firefox Setup 3.6.13.exe" file will be saved in your flash drive.
You just need to insert it in your new computer and double-click on "Firefox Setup 3.6.13.exe" from Windows Explorer and follow instructions. -

I have just upgrade Itunes (10.6.3.25) and now I can not see my Ipad anymore. before the upgrade it was working fine. I already tried all suggestions from the support page, except re-installing Itunes. any suggestions?

Yes. Reinstall iTunes. If that is the point at which you stopped trying the support suggestions then it makes sense to me, that you move on to the next suggestion and if reinstalling iTunes is the next suggestion, so be it.
However .... I too have issues that arise out of the blue with my iPad being recognized in iTunes and what I always do and it eventually works is to quit iTunes, restart my MacBook, and reboot my iPad.
Rebooting the iPad is the last thing that I do and only if I have no success with quitting iTunes and restarting the Mac. It may take a few tries to work, but if you are that dead set against reinstalling iTunes, then give it a try. -
I have an ipad 2 and just recently am not able to connect to home wireless wifi, the hour glass just spins when clicking the network to connect, other devices work fine and can connect. Was able to connect at school, but not here at home all of a sudden, help?

Additional things to try.
Try this first. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.
Change the channel on your wireless router (Auto or Channel 6 is best). Instructions at http://macintoshhowto.com/advanced/how-to-get-a-good-range-on-your-wireless-netw ork.html
Another thing to try - Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.

Note - When troubleshooting wifi connection problems, don't hold your iPad by hand. There have been a few reports that holding the iPad by hand, seems to attenuate the wifi signal.

My hp officejet 4500 all in one wifi. Was working fine now it wont print words only will print in codes. Already reinstalled printer but that didn't correct the problem. Im desperate ;{
Did you completely power off the printer and the computer? Sometimes (maybe due to unexpected shutdown, glitch in the network, etc.), data get left in the port, and resulting in this behavior. A complete shutdown should clear the ports.

Have ipad 1. Was working fine and was able to connect to the home Wi Fi network. Was running ios3.2.2. Upgrade to so called improved ios 4.3.2 and cheers the pad just doesnt join the home network. Tried all the tricks and trouble shooting listed in the forum and as guided by the technical support. Even restored the pad three times. Still the same problem remains. Have been advised to upgrade to 4.3.3, but am apprehensive- dont know what else will stop working. As such without WiFi my pad is as good as a piece of junk. Apple has some serious issues that require sorting out. If anyone can help me kindly do so.
Am having the same problem, and it appears NO-ONE on the thread either knows how to fix, or is willing to answer your or my question.
like you, my problem is absolutely linked to upgrading to 4.3.3. Everything worked fine for 10 months before that upgrade, and NOW well.........
Seems we iPad 1 users are no longer worthy!! Pity, had hoped this would have been an easy fix.
keeping fingers crossed some whizz will help us out -
My phone was working fine, then just went completely blank, and now is totally unresponsive
Plug it in to mains power for at least 15 minutes. If it doesn't automatically come on, try a Reset... press the home and sleep/lock buttons until you see the Apple logo, ignoring the slider. Takes about 5-15 secs of button holding and you won't lose any data or settings.

My iPod Classic was working fine all day. Came home and uploaded 2 files via iTunes, now there is no sound coming from my iPod. I've tried both headphones and a docking station......nothing. The songs don't even engage, they skip to the next one. I've tried rebooting the iPod and still nothing. Any ideas?
KimHi, and welcome to Apple Discussions.
Have you tried resetting the PMU?
I'm not optimistic that this will help any more than the procedures you've already tried, but it won't hurt to try.
Do you still have your OS 9 installation? If so, try booting into OS 9 and see if the problems with the audio are happening there, too. If so, you can bet it's a hardware problem.
How big is your hard drive and how much space remains available on it? If you don't have your OS 9 installation in order to check out whether it's a hardware problem and you have enough available hard drive space, you may want to try an Archive and Install of the OS in order to make sure it isn't an OS X system-wide problem. If that doesn't do it, you could back up your hard drive and restore your software.
All of this may just be spinning your wheels, but it's all stuff you can try before shelling out a lot of money for repairs. -
My ipad2 was working fine last night, but this morning when I woke it up... it no longer was connected to my network. While it can detect networks, it cannot connect to any (have tried at home and at work). I have tried: resetting router, resetting ipad, forgetting network, renewing lease on network, ensuring airplane mode is off, resetting network settings, turning wifi on/off. None of the typical solutions I can find online seem to work. HELP!
You've gone through all of the basics. You might look at this document regarding potential issues with wi-fi environments.

If none of that works, and if a device restore doesn't work, it's time for a trip to the Genius Bar. -
My cellular network is not working on my iphone 5 after updating to ios 8.1.2 !! It was working fine on ios 8.1.1
my phone was not jillbreak or hacked to unlock. i need help, what can I do?Did you do the Reset Network Settings as I described above?
There is no way to go back. You can try reseating your nanoSIM or replacing it. Or call your cell provider and have them check the provisioning on your phone.
Or Restore your iPhone from your backup in iTunes. -

It was working fine on ios 8.1.1 i need help, what can I do?I have this problem too - and it is on a BRAND new iPhone 6 - I have definitively tracked the issue to the moment I upgraded to iOS 8.1.2 - and am beyond frustrated. i had recently followed orders to restore my iPhone 3gs (iOS 6.1) from a question on apple support. However it was working fine before that, it's just that my phone didn't have signal. So it said to restore my iPhone and now it says that the Activation server is temporarily unavailable and when i plugged it into my mac, it said that i ddn't have a sim card installed. What can I do to fix this besides bring it to the store? it also bugs me because this answer was supposed to work but it just messed my phone up even more. This has already happened once and i had to take it to the store. What should I do to fix this? Thank you so much for all answers. i really appreciate.
no so i dont know what happened
