Network Printers are visible but will not work

I have a MBP 10.4.8 networked to my desktop (PC) that has twoprinters attached to it (Epson R800 and HP PSC 1315) I can see the printers on my MBP but I cannot print to them. I have received two different errors. 1. no memory and 2. cant connect to the samba host. Also,I cant find the HPPSC 1315 in the Printer Model list. I have searched several forums and have tried several resolutions but still cant seem to get it to work. I updated HP and EPSON drivers, installed ghostscript and the other hpjils (?) Does anyone have any other suggestions?

the changes i was referring to were using the Advanced~Windows Printing via SAMBA~then typing the URL. If I chose More Printers, Windows Printing , then Network Neighborhood, my network (homenetwork) and workgroup show up on the list. If I choose my homenetwork, then my desktop PC name appears, if I select that, both of my network printers appear. That is what I did before doing what you suggested.
I enabled the guest access on the desktop PC
I checked the names and I do not use "special characters" My printers are named hp and epson and my desktop is desktop2.
Does apple offer classes for this sort of thing? I hate bugging you about this

Welcome to the support community group.
First, are you sure that your AirPort Extreme has been configured correctly and is properly connected to your modem?
Begin by telling us how you have things connected and if the Airport Extreme is replacing a previously owned router or is this an entirely new installation?
First be sure that your modem is working and properly connects you to the internet using an ethernet cable directly connected to your laptop. Once you're sure that's working, reset the AirPort to factory defaults by disconnecting it from power and pressing and holding in the small reset button on the back for 15 - 20 seconds while you reconnect it to power. Then turn everything off for 5 minutes. Connect the Airport to your modem with and ethernet cable to the Airport WAN port on the back (check the user guide to make sure you connect the cable to the correct port) then connect a second ethernet cable between the laptop and one of the LAN ports on the AirPort Extreme.
Then power up the modem first, wait 5 minutes and then power up the Airport, wait 5 minutes and finally power up your laptop.
Then run the airport configuration utility from your laptop. Since you're not using an Apple computer, be sure that all of your firewall, and virus blocking and checking software is disabled before you run the airport configuration utility. Once you run the utility, it should detect your AirPort and allow you to use the configuration wizard to set things up.
Check back if you're still having problems.

After a while it tells then me that it cannot verify my email address because of a network connection ("Could not verify the email address. Please check your network connection and try again. ")

There's two different versions of Flash. The ActiveX version for IE, and the Plugin version for other browsers. Did you install the correct version? This forum's software doesn't thing that Flash is installed for Firefox or the Plugin is disabled.

Also, sometimes it drops out of apps, ie facebook etc. just like you have hit the stop button

Who replaced the battery? If it wasn't Apple the replacement is probably bad also. Either that, or the logic board is bad.

My MacBook Pro will connect to WiFi but will not work in one location but will at others. I have the same issue with my IPhone 4S at the same location.

My MacBook Pro will connect to Wifi at one location (this is a secure location) but will not allow access to the internet. I will put in the password but will not display page. Other wifi capable devises do not have this issue but my Mac and my Iphone 4S will not work. I have tried restarting the router. All other wifi locations I have been to have not had this issue. Any suggestions? I am realtively new to Apple products (less than a year) so any advise is greatly appreciated.

The other devices that are working got on with the same password. It says it is connected. Just nothing works on the internet.

Settings>itunes and apps stores. Be sure to fill in the ID and password. If you get an error, then you are using the wrong ID and/or password.

Flash player shows as installed but will not work and is not recognized by anything including adobe

I hve installed flash player(several times) and it will not work. programs using it tell me to install it...but it IS..I can see it in my programs list. I have tried ev everything in adobes suggestions. none work. I cannnot acess my Exfintiy or any games on Facebook. This stipid program has screwed up everything!! All of which worked last week!! How do I fix this?

Computer Recognizes iSight in System Profiler, but will not work

So I have a black MacBook and everything works fine except for the built-in iSight. I have tried reseting my computer and even did a factory restore, but to no avail. When I checked the system profiler, it recognizes my iSight. Here is what it says under the USB Device Tree:

(1) You post that you "tried reseting my computer". If that means you doubt whether you properly reset your PMU (SMC) per this Apple article:

print out the instructions appropriate to you model, study them carefully, and perform the reset again.
(2) Did you disconnect all AV devices (examples: eYeTV, iPods, scanners, etc.) before your tests? If you installed non-Apple software with any of those AV items, have you uninstalled the software IAW the supplier's instructions?
(3) When you did your "factory restore", did you zero (securely erase) your disk before installing the factory software? One zero write is sufficient to be certain there is nothing left on your startup disk that may be causing your problem. If you need help with the procedure, see:

Zeroing the disk will take a long time (hours, depending on the size of your drive), so plan some time.
(4) After zeroing the disk and a "factory restore", did you test iChat and Photo Booth before you added any non-Apple software items? This test will assure that you have not added some third-party item that is causing your problem.

Yes, water and electronics do not mix. Water damage can get worse with time.
You should've left it to fully dry out in a bag of rice for a few days, and hope that the water hasn't corroded any of the electronics inside.

Java installed fine, but will not work.

Hello there! I am having an issue getting Java to work on my girlfriend's XP Pro PC.... The latest version installed great, and Java's install tester recognizes the install, but applets will not run... I've done everything I could find to do, which included uninstall/reinstall... I even uninstalled Microsoft VM (which didn't even show up as being on there, but it still uninstalled), REinstalled it, and then installed Java... I checked and rechecked all the settings I could find... and everything is set right... One suggestion was to check proxy settings, but everything seems to be cool there, too.. My PC and hers are hooked up through a router, and we both use ZoneAlarm pro, and all our settings are identical... All of our internet settings are the same as well, and the new Java works great on my PC... One note - and this is just a "by the way" - I've noticed that her computer has weird stuff like happen this from time to time, and I've always wondered if it's because we she upgraded to XP Pro from ME... I know, yikes!!! Ha! But anyway, I hope somebody can help.... I'm no developer, but I'm very experienced with a computer, and I know how to use regedit, etc., so any suggestions will be greatly appreciated! Meanwhile I'll try to search the forum for similar threads... Thanks in advance!

Unfortunately, this happens with all clutter-based applications (caribou, cheese, gnibbles, gnome-documents, sushi, quadrapassel, totem) on systems that no have hardware acceleration, and use software rasterizer.
Solutions, what I know:
1. Install the appropriate DRI driver, if available.
2. Rebuild packages without clutter, if possible.
3. Look for alternatives.
Any other solution?

HT201210 Have apps that are waiting but will not download

I updated my iPad 3 with the new iOS and now most of my apps are waiting but not downloading. I tried turning it off, signing in and out but nothing works. Please help

If the downloads are stalled or "waiting" - try these suggestions.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
Make sure that you do not have a stalled download in iTunes - a song or podcast .... if you have a download in there that did not finish, complete that one first. Only one thing can download at a time on the iPad so that could be what is causing the problem.
If that doesn't work - sign out of your account, restart the iPad and then sign in again.
Settings>iTunes & App Store>Apple ID. Tap your ID and sign out. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Go back to Settings>iTunes & App Store>Sign in and then try to update again. Tap one waiting icon only if necessary to start the download stream.
You can also try deleting the waiting icons - tap and hold down on an icon until it wiggles - the tap the X on the icon to delete it. Then try to download again.
You can try resetting all settings. Settings>General>Reset>Reset All Settings. You will have to enter all of your app preferences and device settings again.
