Network Reservation through MB21

Hi Experts,
Why can't we create a reservation for a network through MB21? I need a logical answer. Is it SAP std. functionality?

Reservation:
It is Request to the warehouse or stores to keep a material ready for issue at a future date for a certain purpose.
The purpose of a reservation is to ensure that a material is available when required.
A material can be reserved for a cost center, an asset, or an order for example.

Reservation through MB21 to foresee a reservation to an order

Hello,
I would like to reserve a stock (for a project or a customer) through MB21 for a customer.
Then, when a sales order is created in the system, I want to use the stocks previously reserved.
How can I make it works ?
First Clue :
- I created a MB21 with the mouvement type 251 Issue for sales
- Then I created a sales order for my customers
Then I tried to do a MB1B to transfer the stock from the reservation to the sales order but without success !
What are the steps to be performed to fill my requirements ?

If the stock is a kind of buffer stock... then alternate way to map the process>
1>Create a additional   storage location for buffer stock.
2>& exclude the buffer storage location in MRP-4 view ( select , indicatior-2)
     Then these stock will not included in MRP run.
3>When there is a requirement move the stock from buffer sloc   to regular sloc for sales order allocation.

Network login through wifi

I have a MacBook running ML and I can login to my network account through ethernet but when I try to login through Wi-Fi I get "Network Accounts Unavailable." when I had SL I was able to login. I think the server is runing Snow Leopard Server and the wifi is WPA/WPA2 Enterprise.

How to force Windows Mobile Professional device to use only Wi-fi network provisioned through Afaria 7 SP4

We are deploying Windows Mobile Professional devices on our environments. All the devices connects only to internal network through Wi-fi. Our security policy do not allow these devices to be connected to any other network (Other Wi-fi, Cellular etc). Is there any way to force the devices to use only the Wi-fi network provisioned through Afaria.

I have the same problem with an early 2013 macbook pro. gfxCardStatus ( http://gfx.io/ ) will allow you to force integrated and not do dynamic switching, however the external display still doesn't work.

Handling unit detail report against reservation Number (MB21)

Hi experts
for Internal material requiremnt we create reservation from MB21.then against that reservation number we transferred material from Ware house management system in form of Handling unit.
As per process against that resrvation number system create Outbound delivery in MB1B n we do PGI for that (Mov type 311).
Is there any report in standerd from that we will get Handling unit detail agianst reservation number ?

Material Reservation using MB21

Dear Expert,
When i try to do the material reservation using MB21 i get the message as stock does not exists. But when i see the stock either using MB52 or MMBE i get to see the stock under Un-Restricted Block.
Can anyone help me to sort the issue.

Also check whether there are other open reservations exists for the material/plant/storage location combination, may already the stock which is existing is reserved you can check in MMBE itself under reservation column.

Material Reservation Workflow(MB21)

Hi all,
   Have anybody has implemented a workflow for Material Reservation(MB21).
I have a problem in that.I want to know how to develop a item wise approval process for this.
The scenario is whenever a reservation is created the goods movement shld be blocked and should be sent for approval.The approver on executing the workitem will be taken to MB22 transaction where he have to select the items for which goods movement is allowed(enable a check box) which means those items are approved.
The problem is say if there are 5 line items in the reservation and if the approver approves only 3 then he can approve the remaining after two days or one week or he will approve only 3 items remaining he is not interested in approving .
How to control this in workflow how come we can know that the approver is interested in only 2 times and remaning is rejected or the approver will approve the items later..
Any idea Please let me know..

ASA 5505 to allow 2nd network segment through mpls

I have been having a heck of a time trying to configure my 5505 to allow the second segment on my network to use the internet.
Office 1 has a fiber internet connection, and all traffic flows fine.
Office 2 had gotten it's internet from AT&T, via a network based firewall injecting a default route into the mpls cloud.
both offices connunicate to each other through the mpls.
When we added the fiber to office 1, we had the mpls people change the default internet route to the inside address of the 5505 and things worked fine.
when AT&T attempted to remove the NBF defaut route, and inject the 5505's address as default, things didn't go so well.
AT&T claims that it is within my nat cmmands on the 5505, but won't tell me anything else. I assume that they are correct, and I assume that I am not good enough with the 5505 ASDM to tell it what to do.
Office 1 uses 10.10.30.xx addresses and Office 2 uses 10.10.10.xx - the 5505 inside interface is 10.10.30.2 the internal interfaces of the mpls are 10.10.30.1 and 10.10.10.1
I don't know what other information you would need, but am stuck here at Office 1 until I can get this working.

Ok, so IF I have not understood anything wrong (which is still possible ), it would seem to me that the network mask of the ASA is atleast one reason that will cause problems for WI LAN if they try to use the Internet through the ASA5505 on the PA site.
This is what I would presume will happen when a host on the WI LAN initiates a connection to the Internet
WI PC 10.10.10.10 sends a TCP SYN to initiate/open a TCP connection with a Web server on the Internet
The TCP SYN gets forwarded to the default gateway of the PC which is 10.10.10.1
The TCP SYN packet traverses the ISP MPLS network all the way to the PA Site
The PA Site 3900 has a default route probably towards PA ASA 10.10.30.2
TCP SYN gets forwarded from the PA 3900 to the PA ASA according to the above mentioned default route on the PA 3900
TCP SYN arrives on the ASA and gets forwarded to the Internet
TCP SYN,ACK from the Web server arrives on the ASA
ASA will ARP for the MAC address of the WI PC IP address of 10.10.10.10 because it thinks that the host is directly connected to the ASAs "inside" interface because of the "inside" interfaces large /16 network mask which contains addresses between 10.10.0.0 - 10.10.255.255
The ARP request sent from the ASA never receives a reply since the WI PC isnt directly connected
PA ASA will never be able to forward the traffic to the WI PC which is trying to open the connection to the Internet because of the above mentioned problem. Therefore the TCP connection from WI PC never succeeds and timeouts.
Now you might ask, why does the connections between the PA and WI LAN work. To my understanding is that because the traffic from the PA hosts gets first forwarded to the PA 3900 then they have a working route to the WI LAN. The same way the WI LAN has a working route towards the PA LAN since the ASA isnt not involed in anyway.
The PA Internet connection naturally works as the 10.10.30.0/24 hosts are directly connected to the ASA so the above mentioned ARP will not fail on their part and traffic is forwarded just fine between the PA LAN and the Internet.
So to my understanding the solution to this problem would be to change the PA ASA "inside" subnet mask from 255.255.0.0 to 255.255.255.0.
If you are unsure of the of this change I would suggest you do it when there is low network use (so you can revernt the change) Naturally if you are on the PA LAN then you can probably access the Console connection if something were to go wrong. I cant see any configurations on the PA ASA which would imply that you configure the device remotely through the Internet.

then i tried to connect , but got an error.

Scheduling a Report to save in different network location through FTP

Hi Folks,
We have a requirement in our project to save a scheduled report to a network folder location other than BI server.(client specified machine).
we have a VB script which we are invoking through actions in Agents which saves the report in the same BI server but we didn't find any code for this specific requirement.
Need inputs if anyone have similar code/suggestions.

Networked Printing Through a Windows PC

I just upgraded my network to Linksys N router. Most of connections are working, but I have two vexing problems. I cannot print to Laserjet that is connected to an HP Laptop. I have tried several of the suggestions on the forum (using CUPS, manually entering through system preferences) but so far neither is working. The printer looks like it is configured and available, but when I try to print, I get an NTSTATUS_CONNECTIONREFUSED error. Does anyone have any other ideas of something I might have overlooked? The other problem (related) is that finder cannot see the shared documents on the HP. The converse works fine - the HP can see the Imac and works fine. The other odd wrinkle is that the homeshare feature of Itunes works both directions. Any ideas would be much appreciated.

The inability to connect to a shared folder on the PC is a concern and like you said somewhat related to the printer connection issue.
When you added the printer queue using the Print & Fax > Add Printer > Windows, where you prompted to enter your Windows account information to see the printer share name?
Also, could you open Print & Fax, select the current Windows queue, click Options & Supplies and then General tab. Then copy the print queue URL back here. Curious to see what path you have...

Order Management - Reservations through Inv Item Reservation

A Basic Question. We want to Link a Sales Order with Purchase Order through Inventory --> On Hand Availability --> Reservations Form.
1. What is the flow for this? Whether SO needs to be created first or PO needs to be created first?
2. Where can we see the Reservations?
3. If On hand quantity is already available still can we reserve against a PO?
4. In What scenarios the reservations will not happen?

Creating internal requisition may create Sale order. Sales order lines may create PO depending upon the Item availability & item type.

In Order form line level -Tools - > Scheduling -> Reservation Details

If on hand quantity available, PO will not be created. We do not have control over mapping a PO to OM line.
4. In What scenarios the reservations will not happen?
There are many cases like, if item is not reservable, quantity not available.

Unable To Relaese a Network Activity Through BAPI

Hi all,
I am in the process of creating an interface between SAP PS and primavera. I use bapis to create the wbs,network , activities etc.
In that process i need to release some activities after it gets created. If i do the same process in CJ20n and release an activity , automatically the parent wbs and the network of that activity goes into a partially released status.
But if i try to do it through bapi i get an error that the wbs element under which the activity is present is not in a partially released status. The bapi i am using to release the activities is BAPI_BUS2002_SET_STATUS.

Why don't you use BDC for the same.
I have used BDC for the similar parent- child relationship in one of my assignment. As in BDC is the copy of standard txn it will not give this type of error.
I am not sure the technically how BAPI works. As per me BAPI only changes the status field of activity and try to save than in case of parent -child relationship error is natural & Usage of BAPI is not slove your perpose.
