Network shows up on Airport list, but internet itself does not work.
We have a desktop with Windows XP, and a Mac laptop that runs Leopard. We set up a wireless router in our apartment and put password protection on it. We are able to select our network from the airport list, and log in with our password, but when we try to use the internet (with safari, firefox, etc.) the pages won't load.
We have full signal strength according to airport, and our internet connection works just fine on the PC. Any idea on how to troubleshoot?
I wish I could help you, but I'm having EXACTLY the same problem. The PC connects fine, but my Macbook Pro won't connect. I have had no problem with this until about a month ago. (Before that all was fine. We even got a new modem, but no joy.)
Moreover, though, when I try to connect from the modem via ethernet (dsl) it says I am connected to the net, but likewise the browser can't connect to the web.
I rang the ISP and the modem supplier. They asked me to check that the modem setting allowed multiple computers to share the connection. My settings were already set to allow this, but you could at least check this out.

I keep getting invalid signature when I try to downloand itunes 11.1. I have tried to just do a download and i have tried to change internet options to accept downloads without valid signature. but it still does not work. anyone have suggestions?
I just tested it (on 10.6.8) and it worked perfectly well, so it may be something on your computer. You could try creating a new user account on your Mac and using that to try downloading. You can then install on that account and it will be available on your normal one.

I was running KeyPassFox with Firefox 8.0.1, but the plugin does not work in the new release (9) . Is there a way to restore my previous version with all of my bookmarks intact? I do not mind if I have to restore the plugins myself.
The plugin shows on the list as enabled and functioning, yet the tool does not show on the toolbar. It would appear that I need to restore the previous version of Firefox and wait until a newer release of the plugin is available before upgrading the browser.I copied the iTunes file from the external drive and it's in both places. I thought all I would need is the iTunes program (which I downloaded to new computer) and my iTunes library file. There must be something else that's missing. My iTunes library looks the same on the new computer as it does when I open it on the external drive. If I click on an iTunes library song from my new computer, it will only play if I have the external drive plugged in.
My back-up drive is a mess. I have multiple copies of music, video, photo, and document files and I don't know how that happened. ={ Obviously, I don't know how to back up stuff properly and there are back-up files extending over a 6- to 8-year period. I think all I did was just drag and drop the main folders from the back-up drive to the same main folders on the C: drive. Also (and I'm kind of fuzzy on this) Windows used to automatically save music files in a folder within my document files (which makes no sense to me). As my Jewish friends would say, "Oy Vey!" -

Internet connection does not work when Macbook wakes up from sleep
I recently installed MAC OSX LION. After that whenever the macbook pro wakes up from sleep, the internet connection does not work. I get a message 'DNS lookup failed'. I have to Turn off the WIFI and turn it back on every time. Has anyone come across this?
Same problem here. But I am afraid it has nothing to do with Safari because I don't even have Safari open. When it wakes from sleep, it has no internet connection and i cannot get me mail unless I shut wifi off and then back on. This happened back at the start of Snow Leopard too and it was something Apple eventually fixed.

I am trying to allow guests on windows to connect to shares on my Lion server but it keeps asking for a password for guest. I have allow guest users to access this share enabled but it still does not work.
Ditto. Guest accounts shouldn't have a password. No way to enter one in System Prefs...

I am having the same problem for one song. I've tried deauthorizing and then authorizing the computer but it doesn't work. I can play the song on my iPhone and iPad but not my computer. Any help here would be greatly appreciated.

I have an ipad (IOS 7.1) and downloaded latest version of itunes (11.1.5.5) and downloaded itools (1.8.2.8) but my Itools does not work and message that your itools is not compatible with itunes so please want your comment for that.

I am having trouble with my iPad, i can start it, but the iPad does not work. i tried to use the power and home button at the same time, the apple logo appears, but the iPad does not work. What am I suppose to do?
After the Apple logo appears, what happens then? Can you hear any sounds or if you tap on the screen, does it seem like apps can open or are you just seeing a black screen? You might have a hardware problem, but you can try restoring the software and see what happens.
Read this in its entirety before you do anything. Make sure you read the sections at the end about using recovery mode.

Try perform below steps.
Open task manager by pressing Ctrl + Shift + Esc keys. Click on more details if the option available.
Then end all Adobe related processes, including Creative Cloud and Coresync ( if running )
Then hold windows key on your keyboard and Press R key.
It will open Run window
In Run window, type Appdata and click on Ok
Open Local > Adobe folders
Delete AAMUpdater and OOBE folders
Then navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe
Delete Adobe Application Manager and OOBE folders
Go back to Program Files (x86) and Open Adobe folder
Try deleting Adobe Creative Cloud folder, if it is not allowing rename it to Adobe Creative Cloudold
Download and install Creative Cloud App from below link

You should contact your bank to see what browsers they support and until then ignore the message. The chances are very good they suppport Safari and Firefox, both are great browers.

The usual reasons for an Apple ID getting disabled are either unauthorized activity or violations of the Terms & Conditions.
Submit your request to iTunes Customer Service and if appropriate, they will re-enable it.
