Never got free iWork apps for iPhone on iOS 7 update?

I bought my iPhone 5 on September 1 and upgrades it to ios 7 but it still wants me to pay for the iWork apps including iPhoto. Why? Any suggestions? I reset my phone and everything but nothing.

I recently purchased an iPad mini in the first week of September. I didn't see the free downloads after upgrading to iOS7 until I turned off my iPad and turned it back on - then went to the App Store and it asked if I wanted to download all the apps for free.

Afraid not. Reason being, the apps that run on your iPhone are designed for iOS.
Apps that run on your Mac are designed for OS X.
Two different operating systems.
Those apps must be purchased separately from the App Store on your Mac.

You are not talking to Apple here, just us users. You can give feedback to Apple if you like, but most companies are unlikely to start giving away core products to everybody.

How do I download the free iWorks apps for my new Macbook Air?

I purchased a new MacBook Air yesterday, which is supposed to come with free iWork and iLife, but I can't find them on here. If I go to the app store to download them individually (pages, numbers etc) it shows I can purchase... but not free.
How can I download the free version?

I bought my iPhone 5s since 1 year (after september). There i get the iWork apps for free. But now they cost money.

I have changed one time my email-adress
My iPhone 5s is registered on my apple id

I had the same problem on my iPad Air: i deleteded the apps before IOS8, then after the upgrade iWork was not on the cloud for free anymore. Thanks to your question I remembered I changed my appleID after the download of iWork. So I had to login with my previous appleID on the appstore and i could download them again for free. Maybe it works the same for you (but I'm not sure since you say your iPhone it's registered on your appleID). Give it a try.

Yes. The apps are not pre-installed, but rather you are prompted to download them the first time you launch the App Store in iOS 7:

The first time you launch the App Store in iOS 7 on your qualifying new or factory refurbished iOS device, you will be offered iMovie, iPhoto, Keynote, Pages, and Numbers for free in addition to other free software from Apple. When you tap Download All and sign in with your Apple ID, the apps will be downloaded to your device and added to your store account. If you tap Not Now when you see the offer, you can go back to each of the apps in the store and download them one at a time for free.

Can I still download iwork apps for free with a new apple id?

I bought a new ipad,iphone and mac. all activated for the first time with the same apple id. i can download all iwork apps for free at that time because the devices were bought after iwork is free for "new" devices. later on i'm thinking of creating a new apple id, can i still download iwork apps for free with the new apple id on all my 3 devices?

Once they've been downloaded they can't be downloaded again using a different Apple ID.

In iTunes, click "Store", sign in with your Apple I.D. After singing in, click "Store" again, select "View my Account", re-enter your password and your account info will be displayed.
Click "Edit" in front of "payment information" and select "None"

Are you logged in with the same account that was used to activate the phone ? If you are, and the apps aren't showing as free, then try logging out of your account by tapping on it at the botto of the Featured tab in the App Store app and then log back in and see if they then show as free.

1. Select Apps in Apps store icon on the phone.
2. Choose App to download
3. At "Instal" button press it QUICKLY in blocks of 3 presses, keep doing this until it overides the i-tune warning, then if there were legacy versions for os 4.2.1 it says something like "this app is for os 5 or above", but gives you a choice to download an older version. Select this.
Sometimes it says the Apps is for newer hardware, requiring motion sensors, front camera's etc.. just got to accept these ones don't work on legacy hardware.
4. Download does not work for all Apps, esp. newer ones written after os 4.21 or if the developer doesn't have the vintage apps archived- e.g. Instagram downloads, but won't run (wants to update), or WSJ and Barrons stalls and goes through a download loop.
I am not making this up, as I bought this old 3g unit on e-bay, after a complete factory reset I now have:
- Tune-in, FB, Pandora,Skype, Twitter, Bloomberg, MSNBC, Forbes, Marketwatch, Viber, amongst a host of other news apps like LATimes.
Some Apps will download ok, and then at activation says its too old and no longer supported e.g Whats App.
Otherwise, good luck. Tune-in, Pandora, Skype and Twitter is all I need to keep me happy with an old unit, even though I've got newer hardware. Never let anything die unnaturally.

Bought new iPad mini retina but cant find install free iWork apps like Keynote. Where can I find/install Them?

When configuring my new iPad mini retina last weekend I first ignored the questions on the installation of the free iWork apps.
Now I would like to install them but I only find the paid version in the App Store. What am I donning wrong. Or was it a missed opportunity and bad luck for me.

I had exactly the same problem but my son told me I had to update to the most up to date ios first. Currently it's only got version 6.1 on it, and it didn't say there was an update available but when I click "check for updates" it started to install version 7. I believe you need version 7 installed first, then if you go to the Store, it will say the software is free to download. I'll check back once it's finished installing the update and let you know.

The iLife and iWork apps for Mac OS X Mavericks

I tried to download the iLife and iWork apps for my macbook with OS X Mavericks for free but I only downloaded the Garage band. How am I supposed to get them to install on my macbook.

iWork apps are only free for users who bought a Mac after October 1st and for users who already have iWork '09, and iLife apps are free for users who already have iLife '11.
You mention that paid apps are the ones that you cannot download. What happens when you try to download them? If the Mac App Store asks you to pay for them, do it. You are using an old version or you have not got them installed

The iPhone and the Mac do not run on the same operating system. IPhone apps do not run on a Mac. Mac apps do not run iPhone. If the developer has created an app for both the iPhone and the Mac they almost always sell them separately in the respective app stores.
