Never received confirmation email for free upgrade

I bought a Mac Book Pro from an Apple retail store. I went to Apple's free upgrade website. Successfully went through the verification process and received on-screen confimation that I was approved and an email would be sent to me. I never received an email. What do I do? How do I upgrade?

Apple Support just informed me it can take up to 72 hours after submission to receive your code, even if the request has been already approved. I have been told "they are very busy sending out all these codes to so many people, so will take up to 72 hours to receive yours".

    If your account is working for you, just go ahead and use it.  If you do some searches on here you will find this topic raised a number of times...seems a lot of people did not get verification emails the site said they would get.  When the iCloud roll out occured, I never received a verification, either.  But the account works fine and has never been a problem.
    So, as long as the account works, use it and I would not be too worried about an email verification.

    This is the 3rd time I've tried to register my iWork '09, but every time I get to the end and it says that I should be receiving a confirmation email, I never get it... Why?
    Also, how do I "activate" iCloud in Pages? And the App Store doesn't seem to realize that I have Pages downloaded already, if I click into it it tells me to purchase... How do I update my Pages and Number if it's not detected by the App Store?

    If you originally purchased iWork '09 in a retail box or a license from the downloaded trial it will not show up as purchased in the Mac App Store.
    It is not necessary to register iWork '09 & at this late date you're not going to get an e-mail if you do register it. To use iCloud in Pages you need to install Mountain Lion, OS 10.8, AND update the iWork apps via Software Update or the standalone 9.2 updater.

    Hi, I received my new Mac Book Pro Retina two days ago, and I'm eligible for an upgrade to Mountain Lion, I filled out the form, and have a reference number, but haven't received a email back with the code to be able to download it from the app store.
    Do you think I could just download it from the App Store and claim a refund later?

    As an update, I called Apple and they mentioned that in some cases, even though i've been told 24 hours, it could potentially, but be unlikley that it takes 72 hours after signing up on the page for the activation code.
    I did express my frustration with this, as the Apple Care person on the phone was able to see that I was 'approved' eg: I bought my mac 2 days ago and serial passed. But was unable to access any code, but mentioned that it was an automated processed and an email will be going out.
    Also read one some of the posts here, 'and this is unconfirmed' - is that there was codes given out, and some people were having problems with the codes, and maybe this is the reason why it is taking so slow.
    Your guess is as good as mine, but will be patient.

    Ex-MobileMe subscribers had free extra storage until 30 September this year, at which point it will expire and the storage reduce to the free 5GB unless extra storage is purchased.
    If you have purchased extra storage this has over-ridden the free storage, which will have been terminated at that point and the purchased extra storage replacing it, with a renewal date a year from the time you purchased it.

    Today i bought the super cool iPod Touch, and ofcours i registered a new account for the iStore. But when i want to download and install a free application, it says i did not verify my account! So i checked my email and guess what? No verification email! What now? I checked my email address twice for if i typed it good.. And all seems fine. What now?

    That's weird. I got the email, but when I did, I clicked on the link to verify but it's still telling me it's not verified so I still can't access the app store, even though i've verified it several times. Help would be appreciated, especially since the hotline isn't open because its christmas.

    Hello, recently I purchased an item  through paypal for which I need a confirmation code. I did not use my paypal account but instead just gave my email and phone number. The thing is that I never received an email or text message, maybe I gave the wrong email.     I submitted my podcast but never received an email. I tried tried resubmitting but it stated that it had already received my submission. Anyway to resend a confirmation email?

    The fact that you get an error message on trying to resubmit indicates that your submission was successful. You should have received a confirmation but there's always the possibility that it's gone astray or been spam-trapped.
    It can take two weeks, sometimes quite a bit more, for a podcast to be accepted, at which point you should get an email giving you the Store page URL, so check that you haven't been spam-trapping such messages. Otherwise you'll just have to try searching in the Store from time to time (though this can take a further period to become effective).

  • Haven't Received Confirmation Email of Purchase

    Yesterday I bought 6 songs from the iTunes store, all from different albums. It has been 20 hours since I bought them and I have only received a confirmation email for one, but all the songs are downloaded into my library and when I go on the store it says "purchased" for those songs. Does this mean that only one of them registered through the payment info? If so, how do I still have the songs?
    I have an iMac (Leopard, 10.5.8) and am using the latest version of iTunes that is supported (10.6.3). I have never had a problem like this in the past.

    Put in a request for another verification e-mail to be sent to you.
    Start here, change your country if necessary and go to manage your account.
    Also check your Mail rules and filtering, the verification mail may be going to a junk folder or even being deleted altogether. You may also wish to contact your mail provider to see if their spam filters are removing the email before it gets to you.
