Never received my nano replacement program

Hello community, I sent my serial number to apple for the ipod nano 1st gen replacement program, but they haven't sent me a box to ship my nano off. What can i do since they said i have to contact them about it.

thanks for the comment ralloz I receieved the replacement product in the mail and they also shipped my first replacement ipod to me they gave me the ipod nano 6th generation as a replacement of my brother's ipod 1st gen and now it is my turn to ship mine off.
Bottom Line: I guess apple waited for my brother's replacement to be shipped out with the replacement box that i was suppose to get. It took the replacement box about 2weeks to be shipped out for me, but it only took my brother 2 days to receive his replacement box.
Again thanks for the reply and yes i did receive a mail from the repair request

  • 1st generation nano replacement program

ok i got the email for 1st generation nano replacement program, submitted my nano serial number and they said within 2 days i would get a box, well its been over a week now and still no box, has anyone had the same problem, or did i miss a step somewhere?

I thought that it said two days too, but if you re read the e mail it says that it will be returned to Appple in 2 business days. The return label is underneath of the original, There are perforations the top that you need to tear off to get to the label underneath and keep the top one as a reciept.
I wasn't sure about the plastic bag either, so I just put the nano in it then in the foam hole in the box.
The clear sticky is about 6 pieces of tape to seal the box with. Be careful pulling it apart you can think you have just one piece but it is really like three pieces. I sent mine off today and have been wondering what they are replacing them with.

  • Apple iPod Nano replacement program - question

    Hello, Apple community,
I have a question about the new replacement program of the iPod nano 1st gen.
The program doesn't state whether or not you get a refund or a new iPod nano (the small squared once with touch screen).
The program says that you'll get a replacement iPod Nano, but isn't very specific if it is the new generation.
I apologise for any spelling mistakes and such.
    Thank you for any answer,

    Hi lindsayfromspencerport,
I can say it is not a scam - Apple is definitely replacing the iPods.  Once I read the article and went to apple.com, that proved it.  Apple.com would never risk another class action lawsuit over this iPod.
My First Generation iPod was given to me at work for being the winner of a give-away drawing and about a year or so ago it overheated and erased all the info on the iPod.  Now it will only charge and drain the battery.  It no longer allows me to store any thing on it.
I am glad that Apple is doing this exchange.  I thought I was just out of luck and was glad I had not paid full price for it.  I love my Nano and used it constantly!!!
Just send your's in using the box and label they send you and give them 6 weeks like the apple.com website says, Apple will make good on their product.  Millions of people don't stand in line and wait weeks/months for their new products to arrive for no reason, trust me.  Oh, by the way, I know this for sure.....I work for a wireless phone service that has been dealing with Apple for Yearsssssssssssss.....and every year the same thing.  People will give anything to get a product with that apple on it.

  • IPod nano Replacement Program as of 11/14/12

In case anyone is still wondering what you will receive as a replacement..... as of November 14, 2012 it's a silver 6th generation 8GB iPod nano. It only took 10 days to receive my iPod after requesting it online which is fantastic because I thought I'd be waiting at least a month.

And I, on the one hand, would like to change iPod according to the program, and the sdrugy party, it is a pity, a rarity after all :). Other iPod nano of 1 generation any more won't be...

  • Ipod nano replacement program question

hi, i just heard about this replacement program since my iPod nano of at least 5 years, I believe, randomly exploded. Now, I wasn't hurt or anything, but does that in any way affect if I could get a replaced iPod nano?

  • UK only, Nano Replacement program

    UK only!
Don't sweat it UK, you'll probably get a Silver 6th/7th Generation Nano (the little 8GB touch unit) at about 6 weeks in, here's my story.
I signed up for the replacement program (after entering my old 'dead' nano's serial number online) around 12/13th November.
Apple promptly shipped me a padded bag, cardboard box and envelope, I sent it back via a post-office (remembering to get a 'proof-of-postage' - did you?).
My online status changed a couple of days later (17th Nov. 2011), on 27th December my "Step3" status changed again.
    Step 1 Request
    November 17, 2011: Product received
    Step 2 Service
    November 17, 2011: Issue identified
    Step 3 Return
December 27, 2011: Replacement Product Shipped
Shipped via UPS with tracking number XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
*** NOTE *** I only received an email AFTER the delivery by UPS of my new (12month warranty) silver 6th/7th generation Nano.
Also, Apple's replacement explicitly didn't state what type of unit I would receive and I was under no illusions that it might be a 1st gen recon OR could even be a 6/7th gen recon, or something in-between. It also stated 6 weeks as the timeline - so don't get hot with Apple until at least 6 weeks have passed since they got your unit.
One other thing to note, the 6th & 7th generation units are generally refered to as 6th generation - they are identical with the exception that the 7th generation has something like 16 different clock face options.

Your iPod's serial number must show up as one of the affected iPods when you enter it using the link below.

  • How to change shipping address of ipod nano replacement program

Way back in November 2011, around about the 12th, I submitted my iPod Nano to the replacement program. Since the 19th of November it has been simply showing up as "Product replacement pending".
I have had to move to a new flat in the last couple of weeks, and despite updating my Apple ID details with the new address. The replacement program still shows the shipping address as the old address.
How do I go about getting this shipping address changed? I don't want the iPod going to the old address as I will probably never see it again.

Pretty close. I managed to call them for free (effectively). By using the SayNoTo0870 website I was able to find a normal landline number for Apple that I could with the inclusive minutes on my iPhone calling plan. Eventually got through to a helpful young lady who tried to update the details with the help of an advisor from another group. Apparently the shipping information for the replacement program is held by the shipping company, in my case UPS. This is why the changes in my Apple ID account were not reflected in the shipping information of the replacement. The return details cannot be updating without an active tracking number, which won't exist until my replacement is on the way. So the advice I was given is to await the email from UPS giving the tracking number. As soon as I have this, call Applecare and they (as the sender) can update the shipping details against the tracking number, once the parcel is on its way.
I hope that is useful to anyone else that might be in the same position as me.

  • My country is not listed in 1st generation iPod Nano replacement program

    Hello;
When I first heard about the replacement program, there were no Apple stores in Turkey. So I couldn't get my replacement. Now we do have an Apple Store in İstanbul. Last week I went there with my 1st gen iPod nano and explained them the issue, showedthe e-mail apple has sent to me few years ago about the replacement program and asked if I can get a replacement here. They said they have no information on such issue. Turkey is also not listed on the online. What should I do to have my replecement?

I called AppleCare and they weren't much help.
Instead of calling Apple Care, call Apple Customer Relations (1-800) 275-2273.  Wait for a human to come on the line and ask politely and firmly that you want to be transferred over to the Customer Relations department.

  • Apple iPod Nano Replacement Program HELP?

I requested the replacement in mid November, but never received any box or packaging in which to send the product back to Apple. Yet when I check the repair status on the site, it says it was dispatched.
    What do I do?

In your case, if you have not gotten a box, CALL APPLE, they would need to set up the service again. Have your s/n or old repair id ready.
You would recieve your box in about 7-10 days after you set it up.
    Call 1800 MY APPLE
    Hope this helps.

  • Ipod nano replacement program webpage

I have an old Ist generation Ipod nano. Went to the webpage for the replacement program and when you input the serial number and click submit there’s a slight pause while the small graphic goes round and round and then nothing. It stays on the same page.. I googled this and other people have been having the same problem. Is the webpage broken and is there a way of working round this?

Don't waist your time calling. You will get the runnaround with no answer. They don't know what is going on. One thing I do is I have tell them to go through the repair process. They cannot get the repair started either. They see what we see. They say there is no time it will be fixed but it will be fixed. speculations say it's the chinese new year that is messing things up....
