New 27" screen won't maintain angle / tilt - flops down

The brand new iMac 27" we have bought will not hold a vertical angle. It flops forward to face slightly downwards. If you tilt it right up, it will maintain that angle, but any tilt near the vertical results in a sagging forward.
I can see no way to get into the chassis to tighten up the joint with a spanner or allen key. Any hints?

You have 15days to return an Apple product that you are not satisfied with.
If you purchased it locally return it, then open and check out the replacement before leaving the store.
If it's an on-line special order, then contact Apple Support and make arrangements to have it replaced instead of repaired locally.
Personally I would request a replacement over a repair, because I'm pretty sure that someone will have to open it up and dig pretty deep to tighten the stand.

My dad just bought the iPhone 5 literally 20 minutes ago. The orientation of his screen is stuck on landscape and will not change.
1- The screen settings is NOT locked. Again it is unlocked
2- we have already tried holding down the power button and home key at once

You say the screen settings are not locked. I know they will not lock like that, however have you tried toggling the lock on and back off again?
You say that you tried holding down the power key and the home key at once, called a reset. Did the phone screen go dark, then the Apple logo come up and then the phone restart? Did you only do this the one time?
If these things are not working, since you say you just purchased it, I would return the device, as something appears to be wrong with the gyro, since you cannot get it to correct out of landscape mode.

A window is frozen on screen won't let me shut it down

was logged into shutterfly i brought up my photos and it froze my pictures on the scren i cant close the window anything that i do

You can force-quit the browser or an application by choosing to select and quit using this menu option under the Apple icon in finder.
Then, see about discovering the cause of the freeze up.
And if the computer is totally frozen, you may have to
try & make it shut down the hard way by pressing down
the power button until it quits. Not the best thing for it.

My screen won't tilt

Hello Everyone!
I bought my ipod touch 4th gen last year and about a few months ago, the screen on my ipod touch won't flip as in when you tilt the device, the screen won't tilt as well. It's not a major issue however, I cannot play a few apps such as Doodle Jump, Need For Speed Adrenaline and other apps that needs screen tiliting as it's control.
If anyone knows any solution, please let me know. Thanks

Is rhe rotation lock turned on? If it is there will be a circle-arrow with a padlock inside in the upper right by the battery indicator. To turn it off-on, double click othe Home button and in the bottom row go to the left past the music controls and tap the circle arrow.
Other wise try the standard fixes to rule out a software proglem.
- Reset. Nothing will be lost.

- Restore from backup followed by restore to factory defaulrs/new iPod.

Downloaded new iOS for iPhone 5. Now the handset is running hot, keeps freezing on different screens, won't charge on official charger ( only charges on crap poundland one) and battery is loosing 1% every two minutes!

Brand new Nano 7g screen won't slide one music downloaded

I've bought a brand new Nano 7g, and once I've loaded my music the screen won't slide. I took it back and exchanged it, and the same thing happened, but it was fine before I loaded my stuff because I checked. I though it must be a duff batch, so I got a refund and went elsewhere, but the same has happened again, so it must be something I've done?

By fiddling around I seem to have fixed it, but thanks for looking, was really at the end of my tether!

If the sign does not go away it has not completed the restore. So you are incorrect when you say it "keeps completing the restore" if that message is still displayed.
Do you get an error message? If so, what is the error number?

You should be able to back up to a computer by right clicking.

My new Macbook air won't connect to my Vizio HDTV.

My new Macbook Air won't connect to my Vizio VO32LF HDTV. I bought a mini-displayport to HDMI cable to connect the two. When I connect the cable, and switch to the appropriate HDMI input on the TV, my Macbook Air screen will flash blue for a second, and then return to normal. The TV reports it's unable to find a signal. I use the HDTV as my primary monitor, so I'd really appreciate some help on getting the two to place nicely together!

Thanks for the reply. However, it appears that the issue is not with the hotspot, but with the network settings in the MacBook Air as every other device I have (including non-Apple devices) will connect to the iPhone hotspot. Another symptom is that my MacBook Air can find my iMac (and other network devices) on my wireless network, but the iMac can't find the MacBook Air.

My brand new ipod touch won't let me download apps. I put in my password and then get a screen that says "Download Now". I can't press the okay button to start the download. What should I do? All of the other buttons on the screen work, so I don't think it is broken.

Try a system reset. It cures many ills and it's quick, easy and harmless...
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until the screen blacks out or you see the Apple logo. Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears. You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.
If the Reset doesn't work, try a Restore. Note that it's nowhere near as quick as a Reset. From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab. Follow directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup. You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod.

Next step is to Restore it in iTunes from your backup. If that does not work they try Restoring it as a new phone. If still no go it is a hardware failure and you will need to get it serviced.
And you are not showing the hardware lock icon on the top right of the home screen?

Screen goes to black when tilted back too far...anyone else had this issue?

My ibook has started this crazy new thing. The screen goes to black when tilted close to all the way back. It's not that big a deal, but I was wondering if anyone else has this issue and if it possibly will get worse. When it happens, I just close the lid, let in go into sleep mode, then open it back up touch a key and all's well, I just have to be careful not to lean the screen back too far. In the past, I've had to send it back twice for the logic board to be replaced and as much as I love Macs, I really feel this is not a well-made product. Thanks for any advice....

Yes, it is a familiar thing to happen to an iBook. The backlight cable can get pinched in the hinge, causing it to go off at certain angles.

IPad 2 screen won't rotate

I am setting up a new iPad 2 for my mother and the screen won't rotate. It isn't locked in the settings or on the side.

You migh neet to go into your "Setting" (Icon is on bottom of screen) and make sure the setting for rotation under GENERAL is not locked!

The screen of my macbook air was pulled on too hard and now the screen won't stay up.

A friend of mine pulled on the screen and something popped out of place and when I took it to someone to get it fixed, he told me that there is a crack somewhere in it (I don't remember what the part was called) He told me that if the part gets worse that the screen won't stay up on its own. I need a replacement part, but I wanted to know the price range for the new part.

Make an appointment at an Apple store genius bar for a FREE examination. You will be advised as to your options and then be in a position to make an informed decision.

I am trying to use Adobe Color and the screen won't load. All I get is the 4 spinning squares in the center of the screen. I Am using a Mac. Any help would be much appreciated.

Try:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
