New added disk in vm virtual box not shown in solaris

hi,
I have added new disk in VM virtual box to use it for asm, using storage tree in Vm virtual box i have added two new disks but after that when i start my OS (solaris 10) and use format command it only shows my one disk not the added disk which i add in storage. Any idea why the new added disks are not shown .

Navigate to the repository tab in OVMM and right-click on the storage repo, where you created/copied the vm disk image file. From the pop-up menu choose refresh repository.
That should scan you repository and make the new disk visible on OVMM.

New Photos App - Thumbnails on edge or not shown correctly

Hi,
after upgrading from iPhotos to Photos Version 1.0 (209.52.0), all my pictures that have been taken on edge are not shown correctly in thumbnail size.
When double clicking one of it they are visualized correctly but the thumbnail is still wrong.
The Problem is being fixed when rotating the thumbnail photo for and back on the overview page.
The picture have been taken by a Sony Alpha 500
Hope this gets fixed.

In case anyone else has this issue...
It appears that Photos is "fixing" these photos by itself.
I have left Photos open all day (about 12 hours now), and now there are no more photos without thumbnails (that I could find anyway).
There are still LOTS of photos that have fuzzy or improperly rotated photos, but I wonder if Photos is correcting these as well. I think I will leave the program open for another 12-24 hours and see what happens.

Newly added Keyfigures to the cube is not shown in Bex designer

We have added some new keyfigures to the base cube and multicube in our dev system. In multicube we correctly assigned the "source" for the new infoobjects.
We are able to see the new fields in the query also, but the same we have transported to GWP system.
We are able to see the new infoobjects in the cube and multicubel. but the report we are not able to see the same.
When we execute the query, it is throwing error because of missing fields.,
Can you please help me here, My system version is Bi 7.01 Ehp1 sp3

Some times it happens this way. Once again you save the existing query, close the entire applications and then try to change the query. Hopefully it shows up the new fields now.

Try a battery pull. Remove your battery while your phone is powered on then replace it.

New podcast episode downloads in subscription but not shown in episode list

We are uploading podcasts under the name Rivendell Fellowship. (link is http://itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/rivendell-fellowship/id392550297)
I subscribe and the most recent episode downloaded automatically and plays in I-tunes. But when I search through our episode list, it isn't shown. I wanted to post an online link to that particular episode but can't find it to do so.
Any help would be appreciated.

Your latest episode, 'Follow Me', posted 6 March, appears in the feed, when subscribing, and in the Store page. The only oddity is that the Store page is not showing the duration - this is a quirk which has affected a number of podcasts recently: but everything otherwise is quite normal.

New images not shown

Hi,
Apparently images that are not on the disk when a Java application starts but that are added on disk during program execution, are not shown on JLabels, JButtons, ...
Anyone knows why?

All device mappings lost, including DVD, trying to install Windows 8.1 on a new SSD disk containing no OS

I have a catch-22 situation. When I installed a new SSD disk on my desktop (does not contain an OS), Windows 8.1 would not install. The error stated that there was no partition to install on. I saw a Forum describing initializing the drive with DISKPART
using the advanced tools and a command prompt I got through the windows 8.1 installation disk, which I did successfully.
I did what it described, created an active partition, an all my drive mappings were lost. Now I can't access the Windows installation disk because the mapping was lost on my DVD reader. The error says to press any key to boot from DVD, when I do this the
message just comes up again. It is clear my DVD is not spinning or being accessed. So, every solution I have read on these forums seems to depend on being able to read the DVD, which I cannot do. I have unplugged all hard drives but the new SSD and DVD
reader.
When I try to get a listing from the shell, my only option, it says nothing is mapped. My BIOS settings boot first from DVD, then from disk. It doesn't matter, the DVD cannot be accessed.
How do I map my DVD with no OS so the Windows installation disk can be accessed?

With no operating system, the DVD recognization is not from Windows.
Please go to bios and check if the DVD rom is recognized in the BIOS.
Please contact the manufacturer and check if the issue is from the BIOS.

Satellite L505d-s5986 and new recover disk, new HD wont restore

hello,
My satellite L505d-s5986, got to where it wouldnt boot past the mouse arrow and spinning circle, i messed aroudn with it and tried restore, format hd and it crashed, tried multiple times. So i order recovery disk. The computer seems to hit on the recovery disk but i get no instructions, only the WINDOWS is loading FILES screen, lasted over 30 hours and crashes. I read it might be HD, i know i tried formatting it and it crashed so i buy a new HD, seagate sata 205gig... instal thenew HD, recovery disk..... again over 26 hours.... of Windows is loading Files..... I burned a SEAGATE hddrive test program, it works so dvd works..
What do i try now?

well, so far, the new ercovery disks seem to work... so far that is.... so if u get new recovery disk and your issue is not fixed or ur having trouble, it may be bad recover disks

Close, new, back, forward icons are not shown

Close, new, back, forward icons in firefox are not shown, so it makes difficult to use firefox. I am using latest firefox in ubuntu 11.04.

With 5.1 new podcast episodes are not shown automatically, no red badge

Since the update to 5.1 on my Apple TV 2 new episodes of my favorite podcasts are not shown automatically. There is no red badge with the number of
new episodes.
When I open up the podcast I see the new episodes marked as new. After opening the podcast manually and go back to the overview, there is the red badge with the number of new episodes.
Someone else with this bug?

Yes, it's a known problem with the 5.1 update.

After activating the New GL have you defined the segment? First define the segment under Enterprise Structure and in Fin.Acctg Global settings(New)-Legers-Display scenarios for General Ledger Accounting, you need to create new entries for FIN_PCA & FIN_SEG.

I suggest using a windows gadget to view the CPU and Memory usage > On desktop mac-right-click i.e. separate fingers and click both > Gadgets > CPU Meter

I have found a solution to the screen being smaller in the windows 7 virtual machine. First right-click in the desktop region and select screen resolution. It is probably set to 800 X 600 by default which is much less than the screensize you are using. To determine your native screensize, go to your mac and finder > applications > utilities > hardware > graphics displays. Mine is 1440 X 900 for macbook air. Then go back into the virtual machine and sceen resolution settings. Choose a screen resolution which is slightly less in all dimensions so that there is no clipping and you do not have to scroll when viewing. For me this was 1152 X 864. Then exit saving changes and with the VM in view press command - F (or at the menu bar View > Switch to full screen), which puts you in full screen mode. Now you should have a screen with minimal gray empty space filling the majority of your screen

New Storage disks added to san

Hey all,
I have added a set of new storage disks to our san that is connected to our Netware boxes. The existing storage appears fine in remote manager. I have run scan all and scan for new hardware, but i can't get the new storage to appear under either of the qlogic cards.
Any suggestions as to what I need to do to get them to appear?

More of my setup..
I'm running NW 6.5 Sp5 with 2 qlogic ql2300 cards. I have a 1 TB drive presented to the server, I think it's done right? The SAN is a IBM DS4300. It's set to LUN1.
Between the SAN and the NW server is a fibre switch, an IBM Total Storage 16M2. No changes were made to the switch.
There is an existing array set to LUN0 and that is working fine to the NW server.
I have run SCAN ALL on the NW server to scan all LUNs. I then go into NSSMU and do a scan for new devices. The new array is not shown, just the original array on LUN0 and the internal drive.
Any ideas as to what I can do to get the new storage array to be shown in NSSMU? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

To much disk IO when using virtual box in windows 2008sp2

We are using virtualbox for our linux guest servers on windows 2008 sp2 host.
when ever i start Installation(EBS/SAP), Virtual box is crashing with IO errors , then i can see high disk io consumption in server.
RAM: 32GB
HDD: 2TB(partitions C drive : 100 GB and D drive 946 GB and E drive 860 )
INTL-CORE I7-3820-3.6GZ
I've tried to use below fix but i am getting error message that this fix is not compatible. .

it.
I ran vbox off a atom processor with a built-in HDD controller, and yes it was working even if lagging to hell because of bad IO, but crashing is another story. (it was 2012 DC + Exchange and VBOX with a full OS on it... on a IDE 5200's hdd, to give
the stat)

Ping connectivity is working from both end

while doing Nslookup command from windows 7 command prompt I am getting default server and Ip address of the domain controller.
I have been trying a lot and did lots of trouble shooting but can not get any solution plz.... help
