New adobe ideas error message.
My program suddenly started giving me an error message every time I select a color. It says "theme creation date cannot be parsed". Please help.

Trying to re install Photshop elements6 on my new computer. Error message reads Installer database is corrupt
Rainstormn please see Error "...Installer Database is Corrupt..." when you install Adobe Creative Suite 4 or point product for information on how to resolve your current error. In the future please only transfer your documents and settings to your new computer. You can then install any needed applications.

Nobody can tell you anything without proper system info or other technical details. We don't even know what exactly you are trying to install.

3M App - Adobe Activation Error message - Cannot download ebooks
Please Help Me, Im really missing my eBooks!!
Adobe Activation Error Message is displayed when I select an ebook (that is already checked out and in "my books") to download onto my device so i can read it. Message says "You have reached your activation limit. you cannot read eBooks on this device until an activation is released from another device"
Thru chat and phone I have contacted adobe customer care twice already, the first time they helped me get ebooks downloading in 3M onto my desktop, but my android phone is where i need to download ebooks.! The second guy told me he cant do anything else becuz my Adobe ID is showing 4 remaining activations and he cant reset any activations untili am at the max limit of 6 devices... HELP! I have used 3M on 6 devices but i no longer have access to 4 of them.It is puzzling that the customer care rep said you have 4 remaining device activations on your Adobe ID, but the 3M app said you reached the limit.
Do you have a second Adobe ID or perhaps a 3M ID that you have used in the past? Adobe supports account joining, which allows you to activate a device with multiple IDs (Adobe or third-party), so that you can read books purchased under multiple accounts on a single device.
It's possible that your Adobe ID has 4 remaining activations but that it is joined to another account which has 0 remaining.
You can check if your Adobe ID is joined to another account at Adobe Account Synchronization.
If you do find a second account, you might be able to work around this by having a customer care rep reset the activations for the second account. -

Cannot Install Adobe reader error message
Have Win 7 64bit
Had adobe reader installed worked great was reading a PDF file when adobe message popped up ready to install update pushed okay and a message popped up unable to install update then adobe reader ceased to work checked program files and adobe had disappeared so I done loaded a new copy 9.2 from adobe and commenced to install it all I get is error message about half installed

For version 9.4.0, it creates the subfolder specified int he command line.. for the version 10.0.1 file, it prompts for a folder name -- but this really isn't a problem for me..
My problem is when I merge MSPs into the original acroread.msi file after "unzipping" the EXE files... I got Adobe Reader X with Tier 1 MSP file running perfectly deployed with GPO.. but today, I come into work and I get an error message that the Tier 1 MSP for Reader X won't install cause it thinks the original file isn't the correct one to patch. I know I have everything configured correctly.. I've even blown away Acrobat Reader Folders and Registry entries.. and tried re-install.. v9.4.2 installs perfectly still.. but 10.0.1 with Tier 1 still fails.. doesn't matter if I use MSI + MST deployed with GPO or setup.exe with patch= in setup.ini.. so frustrating!!! I'm wondering if there's a bug with Adobe stuff.. or more than likely I've corrupted something on my system but installing, uninstalling, reinstalling v9 and v10 to test GPO deploy.. v10.0.1 without Tier will install.. I even downloaded Tier 1 again thinking somehow it got corrupted.. I do have a RAID 1 in my desktop..
Anyone have any ideas of something I may have missed?

Adobe AIR Error Message - Application Descriptor
Upon starting my computer I keep getting an error message for Adobe AIR stating, "Application descriptor could not be found for this application. Try re-installing or contacting the publisher for assistance." I have uninstalled and re-installed Adobe AIR THREE times and have restared my computer with each new re-installation. The error message is still showing. Please let me know how to resolve this issue.

This can be caused by some error/conflict with Air Adobe and any start-up programs scheduled to "open" "activated" at the first appearance of your desktop.
To find out what programs are running at the startup:
Click "Start"
type "msconfig" in the search engine at the bottom
click on "msconfig" icon appearing on top
a pop-up window titled "System Configuration" will appear
Click on "Startup" tab
At this point, I unclicked unnecessary programs that are not crucial in operating my computer.
Click "apply" or "Ok"
another pop-up window will ask you if you want to restart your computer.
I am not sure if I solved the "conflict' but certainly got rid of the annoying error message by turning off some "unnecessary" software that was automatically set to start as the computer booted. -
Strange newer FCP version error message when opening project
I'm working on a large (500+ hours) project that I have divided into seperate Final Cut projects so that I can load the sequences without waiting 10 minutes for the masterclips project to open. Lately, when I load the masterclips project it will give me an error message that says that it was made in a newer version of Final Cut. Then, when I restart FCP it will open fine. Does anybody know why it's doing this and how to fix the problem?
I have been copying a lot of media with media manager lately, it has crashed once or twice could that be part of the problem? Also, there are about 20,000 clips about 75% of them are online and they were captured in different capture projects so they are in different capture scratch folders. I really appreciate the offer and I may still take you up on that, but can I get the same result by opening it on one of out other editing systems and doing a save as? The files are too big to email and Times Square is a bit far from where we are.
Will reconnecting all of the media to a copy of the project help FCP dealing with badly written meta data for clips that is causing corruption. Is that the idea?

Having Trouble Installing Adobe Reader, Error Messages
Hi,
I've tried the direct Adobe Reader for Unix from Adobe, both the tar and slackware. I've also tried several packages from my distros' repo. None are working.
Most attempts seem to install and give a confirmation, but when I call from the menu, nothing happens. When I call from a terminal I get this innocuous error message: terminate called after throwing an instance of 'ASErrException' I have no idea what this is.
I use both LightHouse64 514b and Fatdog64 521f. I've installed the 32bit compatibility stuff from my distro in both (Puppy Linux).
I know some of whatever is wrong could be on my distro end, and I am seeking help there too.
Can anyone explain what this error message is, and what calls it?
Also, I would really like to see a tree of Adobe Reader files so that I could make sure that everything is where it's supposed to be. Could anyone point me somewhere?
Any input welcome. Thanks in advance.
EathrayWhat kind of trouble? What platform and version of OS? Any error messages? How are you trying to install Reader? Any previous versions of Reader and/or Acrobat installed?

For several weks now any time the Adobe Updater tries to run I get the attached error message. It occurs no matter which Adobe program I am in nor whether it is an automatic update or a manual one. I have tried changing my Firewall settings and this has not helped. Does anyone have any ideas what to do and how to correct this? I looked through the forums and did not see this problem listed. My Reader version was an older one , so I downloaded the latest on the website. I shut down and restarted the computer but the error notice is still present.
Also, when I attempted to open Reader in protected mode, the following error message appeared ," Fatal Error Acrobat failed to load it's core DLL.
I downloaded the anti malware program at adobe help and ran the scan, restarted the computer and the error message still pops up. Are there any other actions you might suggest? -

I get an error message: Adobe Reader could not open file name.pdf because it is either not a supported file type or because the file has been damaged (for example, it was sent as an email attachment and wasn't correctly decoded). The files are not from emails, but are from websites, government sites, professional organizations etc.) Help! Adobe is no help!
Manually download the files to your computer (right-click on the url). When the file is downloaded to your computer do you get the same message when you try to open in Reader through the File->Open menu? What about when you open the file in Mac's Preview application?

Trying to download new itunes but error message wont allow me to
I am trying to install the new itunes on my windows 7 64 bit pc and when its about to finish an error message pops up. Message states "Click OK to try again, or enter an alternate path to a folder containing the installation package 'itunes64.msi' in the box below." i go ahead and try to choose a path and it did not work. i tried with bonjour and quicktime and they all state the same message about trying to find the same type of folder. i tried going into control panel and deleting the software and same message comes up. i tried downloading some sort of windows cleanup tool for windows 7 64 bit and got nothing. Anyone out there that can help i would really appreciate it.

Having problems launching iTunes on my pc. Had iTunes on this particular pc for over a year. Have downloaded all of the new updated versions. Now I get an error message saying "This copy of iTunes is corrupted or is not installed correctly. Please reinstall." I have backed up the pc to an earlier date when when the program was working, and also performed serveral system diagnosis all saying the program is incompatible. Searched for several compatible programs, none worked. All this happened several days after visiting iTunes. I'm afraid that if I reinstall iTunes that I will loose everything and have to start all over. Eventhough everything is saved in an iCloud account and this particular pc. Never had a problem till now. Appreciate any help. Thank you, cld
Let's try a repair install of iTunes first.
Restart the PC. If you're using Vista or 7, now head into your Uninstall a program control panel, select "iTunes" and then click "Repair". If you're using XP, head into your Add or Remove Programs control panel, select "iTunes", click "Change" and then click "Repair".
Can you launch your iTunes now?
