New air pad air is not charging. please can you help me.
Please can you advice me I have a brand new Ipad air and it will not charge the battery. It is completely dead now.
Just to say that I went to the apple store and they were more than helpful and because it was brand new and not able to be fixed in the ways suggested then they changed it. But I had tried every option and ruled all the simple things out first because of the helpful suggestions and it also helped to have contacted the online help too which recorded the details and I was able to prove it back to the ipad being the one linked to the receipt and seriel number the through the email they sent even though the computer had not power....
so now happy with charging IPAD..

Ask the carrier in the US who the phone is locked to if they will unlock it for you - put an unlock request into that carrier.
Other than that and if they refuse to unlock it, then there is nothing you can do except buy a new phone. -

Battery does not charge from the USB power adapter
Important: Only original iPhone can be charged from a FireWire-based power source. If iPhone is connected to a computer that's turned off or is in sleep or standby mode, the battery may drain.
Verify that the outlet being used is working.
Try another USB power adapter if available.
If no other USB power adapter is available, try connecting to a high-power USB 2.0 port (not a keyboard). The computer must be turned on and not in sleep or standby mode.
Try another USB cable if available.

I just updated firefox TODAY 8/17/11 and after the update i can't open firefox unless i restart my computer or i delete firefox going to windows task manager and process, also, i can't open a new window, it won't allow it. please help me, everything works on IE, Google Chrome and Safari, everything went wrong after the update

I accidently knocked some keys on my keyboard. I do not know which keys my hand knocked but it caused Firefox to go beyond my visible screen at the top. The base of Firefox is still okay and views correctly. But the head is missing I cannot access my menus items such as Bookmarks etc. The screen does drop down if I push my curser up but not enough to show the menu items. Can you please help?

Did you download and install the Windows Support software? If you did, did you use the Boot Camp Control icon to set up the trackpad how you want it?

Usually Firefox will not save passwords on sites that disallow saving. You could try to use an add-on like [https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/lastpass-password-manager/ LastPass] that has options to override that and other.

Before that, as a test you can try to check if it's working here. If not, then you can Reset Firefox and start afresh.

To Reset Firefox do the following:

I have just set up icloud and all my contacts are duplicated from Address Book! My new iPhone is also showing duplicate contacts even though they are not duplicated in my address book on my computer. Please can you help?
Also, what are the source of your contacts? are they created on the phone, or you synced from yahoo/hotmail etc.
If thats the case, the circular arrow wont be visible but instead show "groups"
Contacts from different accounts are not synced to iCloud. -
My right click is not working and producing the context menu or ability to drag files and folders. I just spoke with a phone support person and we checked that all the mouse/trackpad options for right click were correct and checked.

I ordered an iPhone 5s in early September from the orange shop in Chamonix Mont-Blanc France.
I needed a new phone as i dropped my iPhone and broke it so it thought i would upgrade.
I was asked in the shop if I wanted a black or white one, I asked for a Black one, as all my iPhones have all been Black as I DON'T LIKE White ones. (sorry)
I was told my phone would arrive in a week so I waited with broken phone for new one. The following week I was told it would be the following week, the following week i was told the same but the assistant in the shop told me they would ring me when it arrived. Three days later i recieved a text from the shop to say the phone would be in tomorrow, when I went in they said it had not arrived and they would call me when it was in the shop.
They called me on Thursday the 17th of October to say the phone was in the shop.
I arrived at the shop at 6:00pm after my work, the shop closes at 7:00pm. I recieved the phone, signed for it and extra unwanted insurance with I was told I could only canceled in a month. I was then told they didn't have any sim cards in the shop, i said no problem the Phone i assume will need charging so i will take it home and charge it and return for the sim tomorrow.
So the Phone remained boxed.
When I returned home and opened the box I realised it was a white one, I replaced the lid put it back in the bag, and returned it to the shop first thing Friday 18th October, to point out the error, only to be told "to bad" ?? I was told I could have changed it the night before but not this morning? They said I had ordered a Black one but as I had signed for a White one nothing can be done. I was angry and left the shop. I returned later the same day with a French friend to try and resolve this problem, as I wasn't sure if something was being lost in translation. I didn't think I was being unreasonable, it is a very expensive piece of equipment and this wasn't what i wanted. They told my friend that the phone was not available in Black, that was the 5, and that the 5s was only available in silver and gold, and that mine was a silver one.
I then thought it was my mistake as it was a new phone. She put a sim in the phone put it in the box and I left for a business meeting only to arrive and see a Black iPhone 5s sitting on the table??
So I then returned back to the shop with the Black one and mine still all boxed and untouched to prove they had blatantly lied to me an hour ago, only to be told that there was nothing they were prepared to do.

A minor point, but it may avoid a little confusion if, instead of saying "black" in reference to the iPhone 5s, say "space gray":

Also check the configuration of your new machine, Elements 6 might not be compatible with that.

Please can you help. My ipad is frozen. A box is permently on in the centre of the screen saying not enought storage. When i press on the words CLOSE or SETTINGS it doesn't respond. It won't slide to unlock or close down. The ipad is 16GB and about a year old. Any suggestions.
AnnmarieTHis suggestion also worked for my iphone! After a few warnings, the screen on my iPhone froze. there was no way to make phone calls or manage my iCloud storage or even turn it off. I deleted all the photos on my iphone, checked storage and nothing changed. So I purchased more storage, did the backup and still the screen remained frozen. To be sure, I checked that the new amount of storage was registered, it was but somehow my Mac showed the backup I had just performed (a couple of times) not having happened (it show the last one some 2 weeks before). Weird but I followed your suggestion (wish I had seen it before I purchased new storage) and Ta DAH!!! I'm back in business too. thanks!!
