There is a menu option at the top for the status of the network. If you go into this there will be a list of alerts that you can clear, which should solve the problem

on the last itunes version you could view long lists of recent new alum releases in itunes. Usually over 50 per week. It seems this has been reduced to 1 or 2 pages of pictures. I used to love those long lists to discover new music...can I still view those lists?? I hope so. Someone help.

How to Obtain Notifications of New Flash Releases

Sorry if this has already been posted [I looked in the FAQ and "Read This First" sections] or if this isn't the right place to post [I couldn't figure out how to submit this to Adobe support] this type of inquiry, but I would like to know how I can receive notifications of upcoming Flash releases.
I have recently signed-up to be able to distribute Flash [not sure if Adobe sends new release notifications with this service], have subscribed to the security alerts notifications [that may not always provide notification of new releases] and signed up to receive Adobe update notifications when I created my Adobe profile, so I could submit this post [I'm hoping the later will provide the new release notification stream I'm looking for].
If none of the options [above] will provide me with new release information or there is a better "stream" for these types of notification [e.g. RSS feeds] and some one could let me know what that is, I would greatly appreacite it.

Thank you for taking the time to respond to this post; it's sounds like I should [hopefully] be receiving update notifications through one of these streams.
Essentially, I wantr to know when a Flash update is available, so I can proactively update client computers I manage, since the end users don't have the abilityu to approve [install] the updates themselves.
While supressing the update would hide the udpate from end users, I would like to be able to apply the update ASAP for security and usability reasons.

How do I make new albums in Photos and move photos from one album to another

At the moment you can't - though it should be possible (if it makes it into the final release) in iOS 5 which will be available sometime in the Autumn. Photos cannot currently be moved between albums on the iPad.
If you sync separate folders from your computer you'll get an album for each of them on the iPad, and you have to sync all the folders/albums that you want together as only the most recent photo sync remains on the iPad (not including a folder in a sync is the way that you delete it from the iPad).

N80 new firmware release date and wishlist

It has been no update on firmware since the latest release V.5.0719.0.2 for N80 since 24 May 2007. With so many models rolling out and firmware revision released for other new and old models, one might wonder if N80 is being forgotten and the firmware revision is put on-hold forever in cold storage?!
There has been so much discussion on the expectation for last firmware release but what we get is only product stability without signficant boost of functionality and performance. I believe this has made many proud owner of N80 phone waiting with a long neck.
After reading through the forum, I have summarised some of the common expectation on the next release (hopefully) in a wishlist below. All is welcome to provide input on the improvement they expect in next firmware release. It is also hope that any status of firmware upgrade for N80 news to be shared here.

i) AD2P bluetooth profile support
ii) Nokia Maps application support (currently, N80 is not support model for Nokia Maps application)
iii)Enhanced digital music player (similar with N73 ME with album art browsing)

Thanks for your quick response but if you go to the download section of Nokia Maps, N80 is not listed for selection on Nokia Maps setup file download. It is obvious that the compability page does show N80 is supported but which setup version to choose? I myself have Nokia Maps installed previously. But I believe there are new feature and interface in the latest version of Nokia Maps.
Yes, mymobilesite.net is available for N80, but perhaps the new firmware can include it in the new firmware release to save other the hassle to install

New album art feature and the album art screen saver

Hi,
I've been using (and enjoying) the built-in album art screen saver for my locked screen for a long time. A few days after I've updated to iTunes 7, I began to delete old covers of my favorite albums (low resolution, bad color, read: Google image search) and applied the better-looking ITMS covers by selectively using the "get album art" feature.
Since I did that, those favorite albums do not appear in the screen saver rotation anymore.
I'm aware that the downloaded covers aren't saved in-file but in the /Album Artwork folder, so I'm certain that's the problem - the screen saver isn't programmed to look for those.
Now, does a workaround exist for that? Does Apple plan a small update (unlikely) / did anybody write a compatible clone / did anybody found a hack? Unfortunately, it's not in the localizible part of "iTunes Artwork.saver".

Same problem that I am having. I enjoyed the album art screen saver. Since I updated to v7 the screen saver doesnt seem to work correctly. Spent the first day of release getting most of my albums (shockingly more then I thought). Enabled the screen saver, but only got 4 albums to show up, no others. Testing it more, I removed the art for the albums that showed up, which got me to 1 album, removed and then got the error that my iTunes Library had no albums with artwork. Weird.. Removed my library, reloaded, and ALL the artwork is gone. Tried going a few albums at a time manually and it shows in iTunes, the new Album Art Dir updates with new stuff. but nothing for the screen saver. Good idea in principle, kinda bad in excuction is my thoughts right now. Hope for a fix soon.

Requirement: when ever PO release notification needs to send to the PR Creater with PO number and corresponding PR number.
Please guide how to do this .

Hi Ramesh ,
Which workflow you are using for PO . If it is the standard one , there is a rule used in the worklfow called 20000027.
In this there is an USer exit . In this exit , you can write your code for sending the workitem to the PR creator.
If you are using a custom workflow for this , then create a new rule and in that write the code for fetching the PR Creator and assign the user ro the actor tab. Incluse this rule in ur task .
This will solve your problem.

Album Release Year (searched, didn't find anything)

I've just recently noticed that the majority of the music from my iTunes library doesn't display anything for the Album Release Year field when in Front Row. I'd say maybe 2% of it is purchased from iTunes and those all display perfectly. The other 98% is ripped from my CD collection in either MP3 or ALAC. Of those, maybe 25% of the ALAC files were ripped with iTunes, the rest with XLD. MP3's were all ripped with CDEx in Windows before I bought the iMac.
Now, the strange thing is that the program they were ripped with doesn't seem to have any bearing on whether the year shows up. I've tried re-tagging them with iTunes and it doesn't seem to make a difference. All of the information shows up just fine in iTunes (using the latest version, whatever it is) but will not show up in Front Row. Any idea how to get this working right?

With an s-vid to composite adapter, it should work, and does with older drivers, it will not display in full color with the older drivers. When trying to use newer drivers is flickers on and off and then finally off but the display is in full color, I thinks this card is not playing nice with the new drivers since the reference drivers that are used on the msi site for the most recent drivers are about 2 to 3 generations behind the reference drivers on nvidia's site, which leads me to believe that the card is defective in its handling of s-vid out.
TV out is TV out, wether it be hdtv (3 element composite) or s-vid or single output composite, if your card doesn't support single output tv out, it should not advertise it on the box as such.
If it where a simnple problem of having a defective cd rom driver disk, not much of a problem, but since I had to go online and get drivers to begin with on a fresh install, and your telling me I need s-vid when the box says I don't... very poor support.

DEVICES missing from new desktop release

Ever since being forced to upgrade to the new desktop release (1.0.1.1060) my DEVICES has disappeared from my side menu.I have been looking all over the place for some kind of Setting that I need to change but it looks like there's nothing that is causing it.
WHERE ARE THE DEVICES ?!?!

One of the cardinal sins of new software releases is to come out with a version with LESS features than the current one. If they're working on an extensive rebuild which requires a complete rewrite of the current core code then the first released version should have at least the equivalent amount of features. That's just simple logic. If they're not regretting it now then they will when Apple comes out with their streaming service in June. Spotify just managed to get into the black for the first time in the past year, so I'm predicting they go under within 2-3yrs after Apple enters the market.
and you just know that Apple will use its pull to do things such as exclusive releases which will really kill Spotify. If Apple is able to exclusively release a U2 album then you know they've got the ability (and $$$) to release anybody. I wouldn't be surprised if they had The Beatles available. That alone would be a huge blow to Spotify.

I pre-ordered Paramore's new album one day and the next day I received a $15 gift card for itunes and I redeemed it. My question is now that I have redeemed it will itunes take the price of the preordered album from my $15 or from my debit card?

If not how can I make that happen? The Paramore pre-order is $9.99 and I want itunes to take the money from the gift card and not my bank account. The charge won't happen until the 9th, when it is released.

I'm kind of running into the same problem with a TV season I bought. I have watched the first 4 episodes just fine but now a new episode is available and it wants me to pay for it. Even though I have already paid for it when I bought the complete season.
I think they are mucking around in the servers and causing this issue. I have reported the problem through iTunes and I hope they get it fixed soon.
EDIT: I just want to add that I didn't know AC/DC's new album was out, I'll have to go buy it. Thanks for the heads up on that.

IPhoto hangs when creating a new album

Hi all,
I am having trouble creating new albums in iPhoto '09. I select File -> New Album, enter an album name, and click [Create]. iPhoto then quickly locks up with the spinning beach ball of death. I have to Force Quit iPhoto. If I then reopen iPhoto and try to create a new album, it hangs again. The only way to create a new album, is to reboot my Mac Pro. After that I can create new albums. However, after my Mac Pro goes to sleeps and wakes up, I can no longer create new albums until I reboot again. Everything else in iPhoto seems to work fine.
The iPhoto library was initially created in iPhoto '08 running Leopard. Now I am using iPhoto '09 under Snow Leopard. I've tried deleting the com.apple.iPhoto.plist preference file. I have used Command+Option when starting iPhoto to rebuild the database. Nothing seems to work. I have my iPhoto library in its default location.
Any ideas or suggestions? This is very frustrating.

Hi all,
I fixed the issue of iPhoto freezing (beach ball of death) issue as well as many other issues. I reinstalled Snow Leopard and reapplied the updates.
Got say that reinstalling Snow Leopard is way easier than reinstalling Windows Vista. I have initial release of both. Apple packs most of its SL updates into one big bundle. While with Vista, Windows Update kept hitting me with 1 to 3 updates a time and then forces a reboot. After a dozen reboots, then it wanted to install Vista SP1. Then more updates and reboots before I got to Vista SP2. And then there were still more updates. BTW, Vista is running in a VMWare Fusion VM.

I'm guessing you're missing the album in the left hand pane by just a bit and thus creating new albums for each of the photo you're dragging. Make sure the album is highlighted as in this screenshot (iPhoto 9.4.2) before releasing:
A sure file way to get an album with the photos is to select the photos again and use the File ➙ New Album menu option
and that will produce a new album with the photos that were selected.

New Music Releases by Day?

So, where did the option to view all new music by release day (Tuesday) go in iTunes 9!? I can't find it anywhere.

I also am curious as to how to do this now. This is how I look for new albums as I cannot keep up with all the artists I like, so I scan through this list every Tuesday to see if there are new releases I would like from artists I don't keep up with all the time.

Can't save new albums to my library

Hello! I'm having a issue using the library feature. Let's say an artist I like is releasing a new album, let's say it's Muse because it was when I first noticed the issue. I searched/browsed to Drones, clicked save and then made it availabe offline. When I left my house and tried to listen to it, it was not saved, and it wasn't even in my library anymore. The same thing happened with all other new artists or albuns I tried to save later. It happens everywhere: Windows client, Android app, web player. Already tried uninstalling/reinstalling the software in both plataforms, but the problems sticks.

We just heard back from the Adobe TV engineers. They hope to have a fix for the “Save” button being broken by end of this week, or sooner. In the meantime, you can save a video to your library by clicking the plus(+) button for the video in the “My Library” column on the show page. See the screenshot below.

ITunes Album release problems

I bought a prerelease disc in iTMS in the italian store. It is written that it will be released today (13/4/2007). but i'm still waiting while i already paid!
How does it works?

You should get an email telling your that the album is ready to be downloaded. If that doesn't work, you can try signing out of your account and then signing back in (and then checking for purchases). If the album has been released, it should begin to download automatically.
That said, I thought new albums were released on Tuesdays, not Fridays. Are you sure you have the release date of the album correct?
