New apple ID needed for daughters iTouch

Just bought a brand new itouch for daughter for Christmas and i need a new id for her so she can use itunes and facetime. Not sure why this isnt working and all the info on her iTouch seems to be taken from my Imac which i dont want to use. It keeps trying to use my itunes account and all my info. Help please.Thanx

On the iPod, go to Setting>Store and log out of the exisiting iTunes account and log not the one you want. Also go to Settings>FaceTime and Settings> Messages and add your daughters IS email address and delete yours.
If you want to start al lover, on the Mac in iTunes, log out of your account and log into her iTunes account and restore the iPod to factory defaults/new iPod. Tha way the iPod will have here ID everywhere on the iPod.

Sorry, I did not mean to imply that security was non-existant or horrible, just it is online, so no absolutes.
iCloud is really not useful, IMO, for collaborating as only you or your AppleID enabled devices can access the files.
I have multiple online storage accounts with the common free services, but my most used is www.box.net. Many document apps will readily support it, and even if one does not, you can use the box.net app itself to access files, then open them in the app usually. And you can share your online folders, with reasonable controls on access to keep control of who can see (and upload or download) what.
A lot of people I know use dropbox as well, but they are usually using paid accounts (often their company sets one up for them to use to exchange files with clients) and I don't know how much better is the security on a paid dropbox account versus a free one. I suspect the free ones are on a par with box.net.
You could also use add security by using some sort of PGP or other encryption tools to encrypt files put up on the shared folder(s). You'd exchange public keys with your colleagues so they could decrypt those files once they download them. That may be overkill for many peoples needs though.
Another option, if you have an online hosting account, is to get one that offers SFTP access and use that for sharing files (the downside of that is having to distribute the password to colleagues, so you could loose control of it if one of them is careless or thoughtless with it). It seems more and more document-type apps for iOS are supporting generic FTP and SFTP as well as the popular free online storage solutions.

Not easily, no. There's no direct transfer option between POP and IMAP, especially across email providers. The best you could do would be to forward all of your emails to your new address, although it's not clear that you need to - dropping your sbcglobal.net account doesn't instantly render all your existing mail void - it'll still be in your Mail client, you can still read it, search it, etc., it just won't be on your provider's server.
I have toyed with the idea of getting a MobileMe account. Would that solve my issue/question above?
MobileMe would be viable, especially if you're interested in synching your various iOS devices. It's not free, of course, unlike Yahoo and Gmail, although you've already discounted them...
I have also toyed with purchasing my own URL, but it's hard to tell from the sites (1and1, Namecheap, etc.) if they come with IMAP email accounts included.
Some registrars offer email hosting bundles with a domain registration. This could be a good way to go. GoDaddy, for example, have a email hosting option for domains you register with them.

Have you held the menu and left arrow together for 6 secs ? (I think you have from what you say).
Also try unpowering and restarting AppleTV.

You must be within the Country with a Valid Billing Address and Credit Card for that Country to use the iTunes Store of that Country..

There is no way to merge or transfer anything to another AppleID. The App Store license also specifies that purchases cannot be transferred.

We upgraded my Mom's iPhone 3Gs (New Bootroom) to iOS 5 and connected My dad's Apple iD to my Mom's iPhone. My Mom and Dad's contact lists merged. Then today, when my mom was at work. O already have a really old ipod and just had a new one which i have registed today but when i have downloaded the itunes app onto my new laptop i cannot see the new ipod in the menu to update the music i have just purchsed.
Furthermore it seems to have put the new album into my old itunes so once i connect my old ipod i assume it will want to put it on there. I bought a new one as my old ipod is only 4gb and there is no space on it.

Registering an iPod or any other iDevice for warranty and support has nothing to do with the device appearing in iTunes. For what silly reason would you expect that to occur????
Honestly, it sounds like you have no clue how to use iTunes or sync media to the devices. Might be a good idea to read the User's Guide for the iPod to understand how to use it.
