New Apps download number display in iTunes

Hi, my itunes keeps displaying 1 new App for download, but when I got the the download page it shows me that there is nothing to download and that I have no more new downloads. But iTunes keeps displaying (on the left under Apps) 1 App to download.
When I log off my account, the "1" disappears. When I log in, it keeps coming right beck.
Can someone tell me how to reset the Apps number display in iTunes.
thx in advance
Sid

just a hunch but do you us more than one iTMS account to purchase content ?
right-click on the app in iTunes and +get info+. go to the summary pane and check with which account it was purchased
if you then log into that account, you should be able to update the app and the number will disappear.

  • Fox news app downloads but won't open

Continue to have trouble getting some apps to work. The Fox News app downloads ok but when I try to use it it won't open. Have had the same problem with other apps (Popular Science) and just gave up. Any help would be appreciated.

    iPad up to date?
Connect your iPad to your computer, launch iTunes.
    Select the iPad under Devices.
Select the Summary tab from the menu then click: Check for Updates
Hold down the Fox News app until it jiggles then tap the circle with an x then tap Delete.
    Reset your iPad.
Hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button and the Home button down at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
Now re download the Fox News app.

  • Can not open new apps downloaded on my iphone, can not open new apps downloaded on my iphone

i have downloaded new apps fr apple store. after syncing it with my iphone, all new apps downloaded can not be open.. help

Here are some suggestions for getting the best results from this site.
Create a user profile that accurately reflects the type of hardware you're using and your version of OS X, or include that information in your first message.
Give details of the problem. A remark such as "X doesn't work" conveys no useful information. If X did work, you wouldn't be here. Instead, you should post something like this: "I did A; I expected B; but I got C." Include the complete, verbatim text of any error messages you saw, and specify where you saw them: in an application window, a CrashReporter window, a log, or whatever.
Also describe the steps you’ve taken yourself, if any, to try to resolve the issue. If the problem is of recent origin, did you make any changes to your setup just before you first noticed it? Is the problem reproducible or intermittent? That is, does it always manifest itself when you take a certain action, or only at unpredictable times?
Before posting, ask yourself whether it’s likely that you are the the only person ever to have had this problem. If not, search the discussions for answered questions similar to yours. If you found any pertinent information, but it didn't help, give details.

  • IOS apps downloads not in the iTunes Store

There are many iOS apps downloads site apart from iTunes Store can be downloads. My question is, how can i downloads the apps to my iPad?
Is it perform as the same as the iTunes store? And why do the price differ from each other. Say for instance, i saw the angry birds are free, but in the iTunes Store is USD1.99?

The apps cant be download straight to your device, like the iTunes Store does! I'm not sure wheather its legal or unlegal though. Pls check again from the said site, read the instructions and best of luck!
If you ask me, i rather be download it from iTunes Store rather then gamble it. Maybe it can affect the stability of the apps and thus your device

  • Can't see new app downloads

I can search the app and can load it but it's not showing up on my main apps screen.
Only happened after updating to ios 5 yesterday.  Downloaded a few new apps but not seeing them on the main screen.

Where are you looking?  If you download them to iTunes, they will show up under Apps in iTunes.
Once you sync the iPad to a computer (either by plugging it in with USB or via iCloud or via WiFi), they will show in both locations.

  • Why do app downloads time out? iTunes 10.6.3.25

I have VZW FiOS, running iTunes 10.6.3.25 on Windows 7 and everytime I download app updates to iTunes they time out - it does not matter if there is 1 app, 3, 30, or more - I find I'm constantly clicking on dialog boxes and the "resume all" button in the downloads window. This is the only progra. Using the same connection on my iPhone they do not time out. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Okay I waited 2 weeks and in that time I had one multiple app download session where I disabled my firewall and still had the issue so I reenabled my firewall. I'm in the process of downloading a total of 48 app updates and thus far it has not kicked out the error. This is telling me that the issue was on Apple's end and it appears to be fixed. I'll give it one more multi-app download session. Thanks for the help and the suggestions.

  • New Apps not showing up in iTunes

I just downloaded 3 new free Apps from the iTunes store. None of them are showing up in iTunes to sync to my iPod. When I use Finder and do a search for them they all show up in my Mobile Applications folder with the rest of them, they just will not show up in iTunes. Is there a glitch or did I do something wrong? One of them I actually paid for and when I tried to download it again it said that I have already paid for the App and I could download it again for free. Tried that and it is still not showing up. Want to figure this out before I purchase any more.

If you have any apps in your iTunes library, what is selected under the Apps tab for your iPad sync preferences with iTunes?

  • Are within-app downloads backed up in iTunes

Certain apps need extra files to be downloaded, certain apps allow purchases within them. Are these files backed-up in iTunes while syncing?

When you drop a pin in the iPhone Maps app, you can then tap the blue arrow at the right end of the pin's label which gives you the option to save to your map bookmarks. Selecting that option will also allow you to rename the bookmark to something useful to you. The iTunes iPhone backup includes Map bookmarks, recent searches, and the current location displayed in Maps.

  • Why are my new app downloads stuck in waiting?

I know there are quite a few posts on this subject, unfortunately none seem to solve my problem.
    Problem:
When I download apps from the app store, they sit "waiting" for days.
-Happens regardless of one or 5 apps in the queue.
-Wifi is working, I'm not using 3G for this.
    -Tested on 3 wifi networks.
-Tested deleting all pending apps and reinstalling from app store.
-I'm not near my pc to try the syncing to itunes method and would be a bit disappointed if that was the only solution.
    -4xs tried to restart phone.
-Twice restarted (hold home button and power button 10+ secs till Apple logo appears).
    -tried to reset network settings.
None of these worked. Does anyone know what I should do or try?
My setup is iPhone 4s, iOS 5.0.1 and won't let me update any further so that must be as current as it gets. I got the phone about 2 weeks ago and have downloaded about 46 apps and deleted several. I noticed this problem while trying to download/ install Find My Friends.
In advance, you're awesome for helping, thank you thank you!

    Okay, I figured this out.
A podcast in iTunes was not downloading.
Apparently, ios5 will only download one thing at a time and so it sets up a queue that must include all and any downloads: apps, songs, podcast, all of it. So, a tip to anyone with this problem look through all apps that have a queue of downloading items and clear them till you can get your system running again.

  • New song downloads not transterring from itunes to ipod

when i download music to itunes it is not transferring to my ipod when i sync.

How is your iPod configured to sync music from under it's Music configuration tab in iTunes? Or do you manually manage the iPod's contents by dragging and dropping songs onto your iPod from under the Devices section in the left hand pane of iTunes.

  • New app downloads failing; dropbox can't be removed

    10.6.8, Mac Pro 2008
These two problems seem related. (1) Dropbox isn't installing. Sometimes the .dmg appears but won't install. More often it vanishes from the downloads folder the moment the download has completed. This has also happened with an attempt to download Spotify.
Also (2) the existing Dropbox.app file can't be removed. Any attempt to move it to the Trash is met with a response that it can't be trashed because it is open, though there's no evidence for that whatsoever and the message appears even if the attempt to trash the app is the first action taken upon rebooting.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks,

    Hello ,
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.
Have you tried resetting your iPhone?
    Restart or reset iPhone
If something isn’t working right, try restarting iPhone, forcing an app to quit, or resetting iPhone.
Restart iPhone.  Hold down the Sleep/Wake button until the red slider appears. Slide your finger across the slider to turn off iPhone. To turn iPhone back on, hold down the Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears.
Force an app to quit.  From the Home screen, double-click the Home button and swipe upwards on the app screen.
If you can’t turn off iPhone or if the problem continues, you may need to reset iPhone. Do this only if you’re unable to restart your iPhone.
Reset iPhone.  Hold down the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
You can reset the word dictionary, network settings, home screen layout, and location warnings. You can also erase all of your content and settings.

I got some applications like games etc installed on my iphone through a friend's pc.

what is the way that i can have the existing apps on my iphone to remain and also install new apps when i download without losing the installed ones

I got some applications like games etc installed on my iphone through a friend's pc.
Were these apps downloaded via your own iTunes AppStore account or your friends?

That's correct. iTunes will delete any apps you have not downloaded through your own iTunes account. If you did use your own iTunes account, choose iTunes > File > Transfer purchases... to move the apps into your own iTunes Library.
what is the way that i can have the existing apps on my iphone to remain and also install new apps when i download without losing the installed ones
Re-download the apps through your own iTunes account (pay for them if necessary). Apps cannot be shared between different iTunes user accounts.

  • Problems Installing App Downloaded from iTunes Store; Error Code 0xE800000C.

I am unable to install a new app downloaded from the iTunes Store.  I can connect with and download from iTunes with no problems.  But when I go to install the new app, the installation first appears to proceed okay, but after several minutes a message shows up saying that the app was not installed, and giving this error code: 0xE800000C.  During the installation, the progress bar pauses for quite a while at about one-fourth of the way across, then suddenly goes all the way across, and after that is when the message shows up.  I also tried installing another app, an earlier version of the first one, with the same result.  I have tried rebooting the phone and disabling my computer antivirus.  I have been able to install apps to this phone in the past using this same computer.  My iPhone has the latest software and I have the latest version of iTunes.
Any ideas how I can resolve this problem?
    Thanks.
    Geoff

I actually found the answer to my problem. After posting this question I still proceeded to trying to find the answer through internet searches and noticed that my specific Fault Module Name was Quickset.qts. I uninstalled and then reinstalled it and now I can play the videos just fine.
Thank you for taking the time to read. hope this helps someone in the future.

  • I changed my apple id but my old one keeps coming up when I try to download a new app

I changed my apple id but my old one keeps showing up. I can't download any new apps.

Try going to Settings>iTunes & App Stores, tap the ID, sign out, then sign back in with the new ID.

  • ITunes adds all my apps when I sync my iPhone 5s even with 'add new apps' unticked

I have hundreds of apps in my iTunes but only a select few that i want on my phone. When i plug my phone in to sync new music playlists to it, iTunes syncs all of my apps to my phone as well and then i have to go through on my phone deleting all the unwanted ones. I have the box 'sync all new apps' unticked so why does itunes think these are all new apps that i want to be on my phone? It didn't always do this it only started doing it the last few times, so maybe the start of this year.
Any suggestions appreciated, VERY annoying situation.

You can select all apps individually, that you want to sync to your iPhone, when you plug in your phone.
Select your phone in the "Devices" section, and in the "Apps" tab, click "Remove" for each of the apps, that you do not want on your iPhone.
