Recommendations for computer/workstation (PC or Mac, undecided) for ALL of Adobe CC (2014) apps.

I will be purchasing a computer/workstation (PC or Mac, undecided) and want it to meet* the system requirements for ALL of the Adobe CC (2014) apps. I would like computer/workstation recommendations and would also appreciate any specific thoughts on CPU, RAM and GPU. I would prefer to spend $1500 or less, but would consider spending more if it's justifiable. Thanks!!!

InDesign CC 2014 is proving to be a mess for me. It will work for a while, then it won't. I can only use the task manager to close the file. I've followed all of the suggestions for disabling, resetting, preferences, settings, etc. I continue to have horribly slow performance, or no performance at all.
Interestingly, I now have an issue with fonts. Fonts installed on my computer work great in one file. In another file, the exact same fonts, with the exact same paragraph and character settings can't be found for some reason. When I attempt to replace the font a prompt displays that the font can't be found. It can be found in another file, very perplexing.
So far today, I've spent three hours trying to make a file change that should have taken me 15 minutes at the longest.
What is going on with this version? This is a ridiculous way to do business. What happened to trouble shooting and caring about the end product? This is frustrating and my confidence in Adobe has been depleted. The company I work for was looking to upgrade to Adobe CC for all 65 marketing and graphics personnel, I can't recommend that now.
Any new information on how to deal with these issues would be greatly appreciated.

Adobe Community Help app with Flex

In Flash you can highlight a AS method or property, etc, then go up to the top menu -> Help -> Flash Help. This opens the Adobe community help app, with a page loaded that is relevant to the item that was highlighted.
So if I highlight Sprite, the help app loads up with information about that Class.
Is this same function possible in Flex Builder 4?

Hi Charles: hmm... this is definitely an issue on the AIR side. Have you checked out the troubleshooting doc for AIR installations here?

No, you need to compile a "bundle" with ADT on each platform. On Windows it creates a directory with an .exe and the AIR runtime. On OS X it creates a .app file.

photo shop elements has an excellent face recogition function. Does adobe have an app that runs on the ipad with the same feature?

I'm really disappointed with Adobe CC 2014, especially with Illustrator 2014

I was very excited with the "mayor" released announced for yesterday event.
I really was expecting tons of tweaks an improvements to speed up my workflow and some serious new features (specially related to UI design).
This was my wishes list:
- Export individual/multiple objects to separated PNG.
- Export individual/multiple symbol to separated PNG.
- Export entire symbol library to separated PNG.
- Place all symbols in library to artboard (create contact sheet).
- Scripts panel with folders, subfolder, etc.
- Easily assign shortcuts to individual scripts.
- When creating an action that involves Save for the Web it should remember saving preferences. (i.e. image format & destination folder).
- When editing an action, the commands added later won’t be remembered.
- When exporting symbol to PNG via slices the final exported image size sometimes ix 1px larger than it shows in the transform panel.
- Dialog windows won’t appear centered on a Macbook retina, instead they appear offset to center, left.
- Hex color mode in global swatches.
- Sometimes, randomly, when you select and object the selection boundary spans as it various objects where selected.
- Actual size view (100%) should zoom accordingly to the current working area rather than force zoom upon the last selected artboard.
- Ability to enter hex values in ALL color panels more accessible (e.g. gradient color selector).
- Ability to create color groups that include gradients.
- Snap to grid and snap to pixel works inconsistently sometimes.
- Changing a color to a layer in the layers panel won’t change the color of its childrens.
- Smart guides aren’t as smart as they should be.
- Ability to adjust text box to content by double clicking, just like in Indesign.
- Characters/words/paragraphs count.
And this is what I got:
- NOT A SINGLE new feature.
- Just a couple of silly tweaks to anchor points and rounded corners that while useful they don't improve my workflow at all.
- Now I have 2 instances of each Adobe app instilled on my hard drive. That make no sense.
- I cannot sync my shortcuts, workspaces, preset etc. which means that I have to set up it from the ground up for EACH app.
Now seriously Adobe, do you think that I going to renew my subscription the next time?

Using the Adobe reader iPad app with forms

I want to use the app at work to allow clients to fill out forms. I uploaded my forms and it works well typing in the boxes and writing signatures. Is there then a way to make copies of a document in the app so that I can have a blank template. Also, can you change the name of a document or form once it is opened in the app?

Adobe Reader on iOS currently does not allow you to create copies of a document, or to rename a document. We have taken down these requests for consideration in a future update.

Photoshop CC and Lightroom 5 require Windows 7 or Windows 8.

I don't think there's a way to do this with standard AIR APIs. On iOS there's no general solution for this, but for Android you could probably make a simple ANE, possibly by using sendTaskToBack.

Adobe CC 2014. Can I delete the old CC apps?

I recently downloaded all of the Adobe CC 2014 apps and they seem to be working fine. Is there any reason to keep the old Adobe CC (no date) apps? If not, can I simply drag them to the trash can?

Sorry, that is exactly what I did, follow the instructions, athough W7 doesn't have a trash can the same way that the Mac does. I have copied the relevant bits from the help file you linked me to and highlighted one or two of the instructions. For Example the instructions say "DO NOT DRAG THE FILES AND FOLDERS TO THE TRASH OR RECYCLE BIN". Even so the programmes remain in my Creative Cloud list of installed programmes and as such I cannot reinstall them. Clearly the Mac has an Adobe installer/uninstaller whilst Windows uses the Control Panel. I think I have managed to find a method to find a method of how to reinstall but the question as to how to take them off the list of installed programmes remains.
viz:
Uninstall apps
You must uninstall the apps if you no longer need them. Do not drag the files and folders to the Trash or Recycle Bin.
Mac OS
Open Finder and go to /Applications/Utilities/Adobe Installers
Double-click an Adobe product to uninstall
Follow on-screen instructions
Windows
Open the Windows Control Panel > Programs and Features
Choose an app and click Uninstall/Change
Follow on-screen instructions

Integration of Oracle Apps with the Third Party Label Printing Software(Bar

I am integrating Oracle Apps R12 with the third party Label Printing Software(Bartender).
For generating the Label, I have to create the XML file in Oracle Apps and with the help of Oracle WMS i have to transfer the XML file to the TCP/IP Port.
Third Party Label Printing Software will pick the file from the TCP/IP Port.
I am not able to find the way to send the XML file generated by the concurrent program to the TCP/IP Port using Oracle WMS.

Pl do not post duplicates - Integration of Oracle Apps with the Third Party Label Printing Software

Updating app with Single Edition/Creative Cloud.

From my understanding, with the Creative Cloud version of the Digital Publishing Suite, you can do FREE updates, but you cannot have more than 1 magizine/issue? Is this correct? My plan would be to do updates every quarter of the year with new information, but I know I cannot afford the $499 month (we are a non-profit).
I'm completely ok with the old not being avaliable and being replaced with the new book.

You can not produce an app with multiple issues using CC DPS.
You can produce with it as many selfcontained single apps as you wish.
And you can update your apps already in iTunes Store with new binaries created in CC DPS.
If you replace one app with a new one chances are Apple will not object publishing a quarterly mag this way...
