New B570- Thin line on screen just after using 8 days, no Mishandlin​g.

I bought my note book from Spain Barcelona on 9 Jan 2012,back on my workstation at Ivory Coast on 13 Jan 12. I used this for 6 days very smoothly. But one day when I was copying files to my HDD from mobile HDD I discovered one vertical thin line on my screen, from left 2/3 rd distance. I have my warranty period but here not sure where to contact. I can not leave the duty station with in next 6 months. My model is B570,having the valid s/ no from Lenovo.  If some one can guide me I will be ever grateful.

I'm sorry that B570 is not supported in Ivory Coast according to our International Warranty Service eligible country list : http://consumersupport.lenovo.com/my/en/Warranty/I​WS_Status_Lookup.aspx?CategoryID=91249&Brandname=L​...
It's not supported because the product is not launched in your country therefore no parts are available for service.
I'm sorry that you may want to look for a nearer service centre  nearby country for service though. For instance:

  • Thin lines across screen

    My iPhone has thin lines that run vertically across the screen. There are many of them and they are not fixed. I tried turning my phone off and then on, but there is still only a completely white screen with the grey lines. I made an appointment at an apple store, but does anybody know what is wrong with the phone/what the repair will end up being?
    Also, is there anything I can do myself to fix this problem?

    Standard troubleshooting steps in order are power your iPhone off and on, reset, restore with iTunes from your iPhone's backup, and restore as a new iPhone or not from your iPhone's backup.
    This sounds like a hardware problem and if so, your iPhone includes a one year warranty which could not have expired yet. Unless this was caused by accidental damage, more than likely your iPhone will be exchanged under warranty.

    Are you referring to the splash screen (I was unable to view your PDF)?
    If so, it can be configured in the theme editor:
    Theme Editor > Outer Frame of Ajax Framework Page > Layout > Splash Screen
    There are several properties that can be modified, but to change the splash screen image you will need to modify the following:
    URL to Splash Screen Image
    You may need to save the image to something other than PDF format and store it in KM or similar.

    Hi Mark, good work.
    Since it isn't in the screenshot, which is actually taken from the Video card, the problem is the LCD or internal cable.

  • ALV grid, prevent return to line 1 column 1 after using filter button

    How can I prevent the ALV grid display from returning to line 1, column 1, after a user has modified the display using the filter or sort button ?  I know this is possible using the is_stable field when control is passed to my ALV code, but when the automatic on-screen buttons are used I can't find a way of controlling how the screen is displayed.

    Thanks, the AFTER_USER_COMMAND event allows me access after the filter or sort button has bee npressed, but I am unable to prevent the grid from reverting to column1 line1.  By using the method GET_CURRENT_CELL I can find out the column, but it does not return me the row.   I have tried putting this column id into  SET_CURRENT_CELL_VIA_ID, as suggested by Naimesh above, and calling this from the AFTER_USER_COMMAND method, but it does not effect how the grid displays.    
    Any further advice would be very welcome.

    The iPhone should get slightly warm when charging and if being used a lot, however "HOT" is not normal. What troubleshooting steps have you tried. Powering the phone off/on is first, then a reset, and then a restore, first from a backup and then if necessary as a new device. Try those first and if that doesn't seem to work, you may have a hardware defect. If that is so, you would need to call Apple care about possibly exchanging the phone. Since you bought it online that would have to be handled this way and the old one shipped back.

  • Thin line across screen

    I have a thin back line about 2 inches from the bottom of the screen. It doesn't interfere with anything except our view of what's on the screen. I just want to be sure it doesn't indicate another problem with my computer. Anyone have info on this?

    I had the line from the top of the screen to the bottom. I brought it in and they had to replace the Led display. If you have apple care or any support plan i suggest you bring it in and have them test the logic board. The G5 Imac logic boards were appearantly purchased by a company who accidently sold them faulty boards. If yours is faulty Apple will go go for it and replace the board.

    The source I am working with is a DVD, however given the age, quality of the material and artifact in question, I am 99.9% sure the original source was a VHS tape.
    What is the best way - with respect to quality - to get rid of the thin buzzing black/white line of the bottom of the screen when seen on a computer.
    I understand that this isn't a problem on a TV because of Overscan. However, on a computer it is and I want to make movies that I people can watch on their computer without seeing the line - for example, let's say I export it for an iPod.
    I have the Quicktime Mpeg2 codec and I will be using MPEG Streamclip to export the source DVD's VOB to a DV Stream. At this export point, I have the opportunity to ZOOM or Crop. Is this a good time to get rid of the white line and what are the best settings?
    I will be editing the DV Stream in iMovie. When I go to export in Expert Settings, I will also have a simular opportunity to fiddle, but I don't think my Zoom/Crop options will be a malleable. However, does anybody know if this is the time, and not the MPEG Screamclip export, to get rid of the VCR line?

  • PSE 7 blue screen just after launch

    PSE 7.
    plenty of space on the hard discs and plenty of RAM.
    PSE 7  worled fine for months until a few days ago.  Now, when I launch 7, the initial welcome screen (chose Organizer, Editor etc) appears for half a second, then the conmpture crashes with a blue screen error message saying that a bad driver was detected that caused the computer to shut down. Here are all the things I have tried - none worked.
    I did a deep scan in Safe Mode with my antivirus - results clean
    I ran the Winodws utilities to check for errors in memory and hard drive - results clean.
    I used the Windows driver updater to update each and every driver - no failures.
    I reinstalled PSE 7
    I reinstalled my HP printer software
    I read the Windows event manager messages about this crash and all that it says is that I have a driver problem.
    none of this worked.  So I am stumped.  Any suggestions would be welcomed, thanks.  ps, the only "new" things added have been an HP software update and Windows SP2.

    First, welcome to the forums. For future reference, it's best to post in the forum that pertains specifically to your product. For Photoshop Elements, that's here:

    What driver is mentioned?  It should be a .SYS or a .DLL file most likely.
    Blue screens are exclusively caused by bad drivers, or bad hardware.  You should probably contact HP for support.
    I'd vote that it's related to your network hardware, simply because the Welcome screen tries to connect to Photoshop.com stuff, but it really could be anything including bad RAM, video card driver issues, etc.
    So, disable/uninstall all of your networking adapters in Device Manager and try starting Elements. If it doesn't crash, then there's the source of your problem, and you should either roll back drivers, or see if HP can help in some other way.
    If that fails, update the driver for your graphics hardware.
    Failing that, get back to us with more specific information about your hardware.  You can see a lot of hardware info by going to Start, type in "msinfo32" in the search, and then press Enter.

  • Brand new Nokia N900 ceases just after half a day ...

    I recieved the new Nokia N900 as an upgrade. It crashed few time opening emails, however restarted automatically. Later on it crashed on ovi map (pre installed). I tried rebooting after taking the taking the battery out and putting it back in - no joy! I tried startgin without the sim card -still the same problem - it starts with the Nokia banner and then 5 flashing dots... that's it.
    I have used Nokia for over 10 years, I never experienced this from Nokia.
    I think N900 is still 'Work in Progress', am not sure if it is fully tested yet!!

    This is a known problem.. And I'll be brief here since there are lots of posts about it..
    A bug in the firmware causes some devices to reboot.. Your's is an unluck one.. There is a permanent fix in an up and coming firmware release (not the one released today.. but soon) but in the mean time we have a work around..
    you have two problems.. first getting your device booting..
    Each time your device randomly rebooted itself, it increased a counter.. when this counter reached its upper limit (17 reboots) the device will STOP booting.. as yours has.. To reset this limit you need to manually restart your phone.. use the power button to turn it off.. use the power button to turn it on and the counter goes back to zero.. 
    problem is, your device has already reached the limit so we need to trick it into going back to zero..
    The easiest option may not work for you.. but it is fairly simple..
    Take the battery out.. plug your phone into your computer.. put the battery back in.. allow the phone to boot..
    If that doesn't work, you'll need to use the longer process detailed in the link above.. Read the first post carefully and see the section:
    REPAIRING A DEVICE THAT NO LONGER BOOTS
    If your device won't boot and won't respond to flasher.. the battery could be flat.. you MUST charge the battery to get your device booting. To do this you'll need to find someone with a Nokia N900, 5800 or 5230 handset since they all use the same battery.. If you device won't boot, it won't charge.. 
    Ok, assuming these instructions have helped your device boot, you need to implement the patch to stop it rebooting.. 
    Open this URL in your phone

    Click and INSTALL the first link.. when you click the first link select open..you'll be taken to app manager and you must proceed with the install
    Go back to the browser and click and SAVE the second link.. Save the file in the documents folder of your device..
    now, open an Xterminal and type these two commands exactly.. remember they are case sensative:
    sudo gainroot
    sh MyDocs/.documents/fixpm.sh enable
    Reboot your device once more and you should hopefully have a happy N900!

    Over a week ago I attempted to connect my MBP 2007 model to my samsung television with HDMI in. I have used this cable before but always have trouble getting it to work with this TV and my computer.
    Well, I plugged it in and the screen on my computer went black and the image failed to appear on the TV despite tinkering with the settings.
    When I unplugged the cable The image would not restore to my screen so I restarted it...same back screen. I took the battery out and pushed the power button to drain the juice and put it back in. No luck. Please help. Any usea? Seems to just be a software problem.

    So I was making a pixel character for test purpose for my game, and after I finish I didn't know how remove the lines without messing up the picture. I use the erase to remove the excess lines. So I was wondering how do I remove the lines within the picture with out messing up the picture.
    I'm going be using the Illustrator and rectangular grid tool for my game pictures. This is in Illustrator CS6.

    If you use the pathfinders unite, you can be left with gaps between your filled objects. If thats the case, use your select menu to select all of one color, then add a stroke with that same color and increase the size of the stroke if necessary. Repeat for the next color until your done.
